When creating a new entity object, I am facing a problem with database schema objects in the entity object wizard, database schema objects (check boxes for tables,synonyms...) are disabled. Actually I am using a synonym but I am not able to select the synonym check box.

In order to use OpenRowSet, I installded Microsoft Access Database Engine 2010. However, I could not find Microsoft Access Text Driver in Drivers of ODBC Data Source Administrator. Could I get some help with that?
Thank you very much!I am local admin and try to run the following script, but I got an error. Could anyone help me look at it?
EXEC sp_configure 'show advanced options', 1

I have written a Stored Procedure for inserting data , When i Execute that stored procedure it is inserting data to Table Which i have
given.
And the data which is in table should be shown in the application,
But, Am getting the following error.
Cannot
initialize the data source object of OLE DB provider "Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.12.0" for linked server "Excel_Test".
Please help me on this.
Thanks in Advance....Even am able to retrieve the data from Sql Server management studio.
The same retrieved data should be shown in the application (Dashbord).
Query : Select * from OpenQuery(Excel_Test,'Select * from [Sheet1$]')
Am getting the output excatly the data in the excel sheet.
But when am opening that application where the above data should be shown am getting the below error.
Cannot
initialize the data source object of OLE DB provider "Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.12.0" for linked server "Excel_Test".
Is this error is because of problem in Dot Net Coding or in the linked server.

Cannot initialize the data source object of OLE DB provider "OraOLEDB.Oracl
I have created a linked server in a SQL Server 2005 connecting to either an Oracle Database and a SQL Server 6.5 database and getting the following error for both links when trying to query using provider OraOLEDB.Oracle, please help.
OLE DB provider "OraOLEDB.Oracle" for linked server "finprod3" returned message "ORA-12154: TNS:could not resolve the connect identifier specified".
Msg 7303, Level 16, State 1, Line 1
Cannot initialize the data source object of OLE DB provider "OraOLEDB.Oracle" for linked server "finprod3".What version of Oracle client software are you using? 32 bit or 64 bit? Is the OS 32 bit or 64 bit?
12154 generally means the client can't figure out what TNSNames.ora entry you're referring to, which is the part you passed as "data source" in the oledb connection. Did you configure the client? Does SQLPlus connect without issue?
There's also a known issue where running 32 bit client software on a 64 bit OS can result in that error in some versions, due to parenthesis in the path of the executable - 32 bit apps go in Program Files (x86) on a 64 bit OS. Applying the latest patch level to the client software will resolve that issue.

POST-QUERY trigger cannot retrieve the database field in TEMPLATE.fmb
I have tried to create a form using TEMPLATE.fmb in Oracle Apps R11i. I found that the POST-QUERY trigger cannot retrieve the database field (which is display item property) properly. Can anyone tell me how to retrieve the displayed database fields? Thanks for any helps.
POST-QUERY would fire after the query has been executed, it does not do the actual data retrieve.
See if the items you have put have the data source properties set and are not control items.
btw, this forum is for OA users, you would get better response to your query if you post it in forms forum

Reader Hive query - Cannot deserialize the current JSON object
Hi all,
I am trying to run a Reader module in MLStudio with a Hive query but it fails with Error 0000: Internal error.
In the output log I see this error:
[ModuleOutput] DllModuleHost Error: 1 : Program::Main encountered fatal exception: Microsoft.Analytics.Exceptions.ErrorMapping+ModuleException: Error 0000: Internal error ---> System.Reflection.TargetInvocationException: Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation. ---> System.AggregateException: One or more errors occurred. ---> System.AggregateException: One or more errors occurred. ---> Newtonsoft.Json.JsonSerializationException: Cannot deserialize the current JSON object (e.g. {"name":"value"}) into type 'Newtonsoft.Json.Linq.JToken' because the type requires a JSON array (e.g. [1,2,3]) to deserialize correctly.
[ModuleOutput] To fix this error either change the JSON to a JSON array (e.g. [1,2,3]) or change the deserialized type so that it is a normal .NET type (e.g. not a primitive type like integer, not a collection type like an array or List<T>) that can be deserialized from a JSON object. JsonObjectAttribute can also be added to the type to force it to deserialize from a JSON object.
[ModuleOutput] Path 'FileStatus.length', line 3, position 14.
But I don't see any configuration to change any JSON settings.
What am I doing wrong? Can anyone help me?
Thanks,
Csaba
PS: Using the Hive Editor I can select from my table without any problems.Can you let us know if you are still encountering this error? It doesn't look the error is due to user error.

ORA-31050:Access denied when trying enabling the database-native Web servic
Dear all,
I'm trying to follow the instruction of OBE about "Using Oracle XML DB Web Services for Service-Oriented Architecture " as this url http://st-curriculum.oracle.com/obe/db/11g/r1/prod/datamgmt/xmldb2_b/xmldb2_b.htm#http .
I would like to enable the database-native Web service end point in Oracle XML DB and I already execute the script to create Web Service Endpoint.
Anyway, I got the following error.
ORA-31050: Access denied
ORA-06512: at "XDB.DBMS_XDB", line 528
ORA-06512: at "SYSTEM.ADDSERVLETMAPPING", line 91
I found that this procedure was created on system schema but the problem occur when I tried to call ADDSERVLETMAPPING procedure.
This is a code that I used to enable.

Cannot enable flashback database??
I am using 10gR2 10.2.0.1
Under EM Home: it shows under " High Availability ":
Last Backup Apr 14, 2007 8:03:33 PM
Usable Flash Recovery Area (%) 92.35
Flashback Logging Disabled
When I get to the "recovery settings", I have make sure I have turned on Archivelogmode, however, the "enable flashback database" section was missing.
What's wrong about my database settings?
I have tried to explicitly do the standard code and have got the following errors:
SQL> SHUTDOWN IMMEDIATE;
SQL>STARTUP MOUNT EXCLUSIVE;
//report: obsolete/deprecated parameter specified"
SQL> ALTER SYSTEM SET DB_FLASHBACK_RETENTION_TARGET=2800 SCOPE=BOTH;
//no error
SQL>ALTER DATABASE FLASHBACK ON;
//error: ORA-00439: feature not enabled, flashback database

Cannot open the database, stuck in mount mode
Someone please shed some lights on this problem.
I ran into some media failure, and ended up restoring the database from the offline whole backup.
The database is in the nonarchivelog mode (I know, it is not good), so there is no archive log files and
restore database is the only solution.
. startup mount
. restore database <== ran ok
. ALTER DATABASE CLEAR LOGFILE GROUP 1 <== ran ok
. ALTER DATABASE CLEAR LOGFILE GROUP 2 <== alter failed
ORA-01624: log 2 needed for crash recovery of instance orcl (thread 1)
Alter failed with group 2 and 3 because one was CURRENT,
and one was ACTIVE.
SQL> select group#, sequence#, members, status from v$log;
GROUP# SEQUENCE# MEMBERS STATUS
1 0 2 UNUSED
3 189 2 CURRENT
2 188 2 ACTIVE
I also tried 'alter database open resetlogs', and got:
ORA-01139: RESETLOGS option only valid after an incomplete database recovery
I don't think I can recover the datafile since there is no archive log file here.
Besides, if the restore database ran fine, why did I get SYSTEM01.DBF datafile needs media recovery message?
Right now, the database is in mount mode, and I cannot open it. How do I solve the problem with
ALTER DATABASE CLEAR LOGFILE GROUP for group 2 and 3?
Any suggestion? Thank you for the input.
The database is 11G running on Window.I would think the cold backup ran successfully. Here is the backup record:

2> shutdown immediate;
3> startup mount;
4> allocate channel c1 type disk;
5> backup as backupset database;

Cannot find the "Database query" in CUIC 10.5
Hi Everybody,
I am trying to create a custom report in CUIC (UCCX10.5)
By following the instruction below:
http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/cust_contact/contact_center/intelligence_suite/intelligence_suite_1051/user/guide/CUIC_BK_CAD76E49_00_unified-intelligence-center-cust-report/CUIC_BK_CAD76E49_00_cisco-unified-intelligence-center-report_chapter_0101.html#CUIC_TK_C8A91801_00
In "Create a Report Definition of Type Database Query" section, Step 7 "From the Query Type drop-down list, select Database Query"
I cannot see this option, do I miss out anything ?
Anybody can help?
Thanks in advance
SamThere are two version of CUIC, standard and premium.
CCX comes with the standard version.
In order to create new reports you need the premium version, this has the Report Definitions drawer that allows you to select the Database query and upload your SQL.
You will need to create a report on a premium CUIC and then export and upload to the CUIC on your CCX system.
You will need to install a premium CUIC system and you can get a demo premium license from the Cisco licensing portal that I think lasts for 90 days.
Sorry you won't be creating any new reports on your CCX you can only customise the display of existing reports.

Installer cannot find the database instance
I am installing SCSM 2012 R2, but when I try to connect to the database it gives incorrect instance names. We have two instances, one is the default and one is a named instance. But instead of showing the named instance name it says "Default2".
Its exactly what's happening in this blog:
http://adinermie.wordpress.com/2014/03/26/service-manager-2012-r2-installation-fails-to-identify-sql-server-instance-and-throws-access-denied-error/
Even in the setup logs it is listing instances that are incorrect. It says "ServerName\ServerName, port" instead
of "ServerName\InstanceName, Port". The blog author didn't have a real solution except to re-install SQL.
Is this a bug? And suggestions?
- Get on the floor, do that dinosaurI ran the command line install and it was successful.
I created the same circumstances in my lab while the install was going to see if I could re-create the situation, and I did. It appears that the GUI installer gets confused by the name of the named instance - MSSQLSERVER2. In the drop down it shows Default2
and the error is "Access to SQLServer\SQLServer2 is denied." So I'm guessing that the installer just sees the MSSQLSERVER portion of MSSQLSERVER2, assumes its a default instance and looks for the server named instance which doesn't exist rather than the named
instance.
Bottom line is that the installer has a few kinks.

Cannot discover the database created on the same machine OMS installed
Hi,
I have trouble discovering the database created on the same machine the management server installed. The intelligent agent is running and OEM has no trouble discovering the database on the other machine. It only has trouble discovering the database created on the machine OMS is installed. Can anyone help me solve this problem? Thanks a lotSet the tracing on .. probably something wrong in either the oratab or listener.ora file. You need the listener.ora file even if the db is self registering. Check your nmiconf.log file in network/log

I have an application which has linked servers to mdb databases on Sql Server. Development machines which have access to full version of Office can intialise the data source as expected, however, machines using the Office 2010 runtime throw the above exception.
Have checked the HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Microsoft.ACE.OleDb.12.0\CLSID which has value {3BE7860-0366-4F5C-9434-25CF162E475E} as expected, however that CLSID cannot be found in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID on the machines using the runtime.
How can I ensure PCs using the 2010 runtime can access the linked server(s).To add a login, execute this procedure:
sp_addlinkedsrvlogin
