Cannot enter an event on calendar

How can an event be added to a calendar? Every time that I enter the info for an event and press "return" per the instructions, my event disappears.

When editing or creating an event, choose Repeat > Custom… - then choose "Daily" and enter Every 3 days.

Cannot enter new event on calender

I just purchase a new i pad and cannot enter a new event on the calender. I do not have the little + icon on the bottom right. I can open the calender and flip through dates. It also does not sync with the my computer. Anyone know why?

Cannot type in events on Calendar in iPod Touch (4th gen.)?

When I try to type in events on Calendar in my iPod Touch (the 4th generation), the Internet refreshing icon appears (a samll spinning circle next to the Wi-Fi signal), and then the events will disappear on some certain but random days.
No matter how hard I re-try, some certain days just would not show any events.

I'm having the same issues. Music plays on my Macbook Pro just fine. However when I try to play music from my iPod no beuno. It skips through songs and ands on a random song, but no sounds is coming from the iPod.

Cannot enter new events in ical on imac using 10.7.5

Should be able to click and new event appears but this in not happening - nothing appears in ical on the imac but on my ipad and iphone there is an new event which is empty - I think I need to re-install the ical but cannot find the instructions to do this in 10.7.5

Set up and use iCloud for Windows

Check the section for iOS devices first, then there's a section for iCloud.com and Microsoft Windows. Try adding the event at iCloud.com for example and see if that syncs.

Cannot delete recurring events in calendar

All of a sudden, with the (TERRIBLE) changes of iOS 7, recurring events will not delete or be changed. Each time I try to delete or even change an event, it walks through the correct process tellingme that it is a recurring event and asking if I want to delete just this one or all future events. I say all future. All's good. It goes away. then 5 seconds later it shows up again! Same thin when I try to edit or move an event. I have tried on all my devices to delete the same event -- it always returns!
I am running iMac intel with OS X 10.9
iPhone & iPad iOS 7
and I am at a loss as how to do it differently.
I found on earlier sites to put " sudo chmod -a# 0 ~/Library/Preferences/ into terminal -- but Termal came back with "
chmod: No ACL present '
Any thoughts? Anyone else having this problem?

Is this a synced calendar or just on the phone?
For a synced calendar, you will need to go to the Settings App > Mail,Contacts,Calendar and remove it from there.
For a calendar on the device, open the calendar app > Calendars > Seelct the calendar(s) in question (tap on the blue arrow to the right) > scroll down and tap Delete Calendar.

Cannot enter event in iCal on iPad

Got new iPad 2
Got I cloud set up enter events on my Mac And they appear on the iPad (and phone) no worries but I cannot enter any events on the iPad
Get message "calendar not set" or "event does not belong in that event store"
Anybody got any ideas on that .....?....

Why can I no longer enter new events

I upgraded to OS 10.6.8 on my iMac and also upgraded to OS 5 on my iPad and iPhone. Now I cannot enter new events on my Calendar on my iMac - says it is a "mail" calendar and cannot be changed. I had this same problem last summer and unfortunately have no memory as to how I resolved it then! Age!!!

And I didn't even realize new events were not copying over to my Mac until I read this.
I just thought the problem was duplicates on my iOS devices.
I tried hard resets and permission repairs to no avail.

You can use Lion Recovery
Before you do that, go to ~/Library/Preferences
Move the com.apple.iCal.plist file from the Preferences folder to the Trash.
Restart your Mac.
See if you can print or add an event now.

Cannot enter event time in Calendar 6.0

I recently updgraded to Mountain Lion, and when I try to enter a new event into Calendar (by double clicking on day, week or month and unchecking all day option), there is no option to enter the specific event time.
Also, Calendar is randomnly changing the time of events of synced google calendar events to 19:45.
Anyone else experience this problem. Suggestions as how to fix these two problems would be greatly appreciated.

Open Keychain Access in Utilities, use Keychain First Aid under the Keychain Menu item, then either check the Password under that item, change it, or delete it and start over. See if there are duplicates, should be one for Incoming & one for Outgoing.

If Keychain First Aid finds an issue that it cannot repair, or if you do not know your keychain password, you may need to reset your keychain.

I cannot enter text to change event names

I just installed the newest update for 08 (7.2) and now I cannot enter text into the heading boxes for the events. I can select the area so that a text box comes up, but I don't get that icon thing that tells me that I can type in it. I should also add that I just purchased one of the new apple keyboards and have been having occasional problems like this in other applications.
Any ideas what is going on? Suggestions? Thanks!

You need to have the Helvetica Neue font installed. Open Font Book and check to see if it's installed. If it is, deactivate it and then reactivate. If it's not there, use Pacifist to locate, extract and install the font from the system install disk that came with your Mac.

TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've written an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it.
