  • Cannot ePrint from iPhone when using wifi

I have a D110 HP printer.  We have two iPhones.  One works fine for ePrinting when sending e-mail by either wifi or 3G (this phone has yahoo mail account).  The second phone works fine if we send e-mail using 3G, but not when we send it via wifi.  The second phone has an e-mail account through our local roadrunner provider.  By the way, that account does not seem to send outgoing e-mail using the roadrunner smtp server (for any outgoing e-mail -- eprinting and everything else).  It looks like it uses our alternate outgoing server (AT&T).
We have told our printer to accept jobs from any e-mail address, but that does not solve the problem.  The e-mails sent by iPhone #2 are not ejected, but do not show up on our ePrint account.
This is so frustrating.  Any suggestions?

I found the answer to my own problem.
    I just discovered the following:
AT&T “cwmx.com” and “smtp.mymmode.com” outgoing SMTP servers only work through the AT&T wireless network and not over WI-FI.
Who knew?  Not me!  Maybe I'll look elsewhere to see how I can send e-mail messages from my Roadrunner e-mail account from my 3Gs iPhone using Wi-Fi.
I just found a post another site where someone had the same problem.  They described it this way:
My broadband cable company (Insight in Columbus OH) will not allow me to send email (smtp) outside their network. I currently have my iPhone set to use Yahoo for sending but I don't like the advertisement Yahoo puts at the bottom. Does AT&T offer a smtp server to send mail from the iPhone?
EDIT: PS I'm looking for a FREE smtp server........I already pay plenty for broadband service and cell phone service!

  • Cannot prt from Iphone anymore. How do I reset

Cannot prt from Iphone anymore. How do I reset w/o a total download of the program

How are you trying to print from your iPhone?  Are you trying to airprint or use ePrint?  If you trying to airprint I would unplug router and printer and wait a minute or so and then plug everything back up.  Also, if you trying to airprint I would make sure iphone is connected to your wireless network.
Let me know if this helps.

  • Print from Iphone 4 to my HP Photosmart Plus B209 Printer?

is it possible to print from iphone to my printer, it does have wireless.
i have looked into the option of using their own software but it isn't compatible with my printer, just wondered if there was another way of doing this at all?
Or any other software that could let me print from my iphone?

    If not on this list:

  • Need help with ePrinting from iPhone 5

I have HPPhotosmart 7500 . And was printing fine from my iPhone 5 in the past. I did the ISO 8 update and now I can't EPrint.
I reset my internet connection., reset the wifi on phone, deleted the hp printing app and restarted that as well. I even turned my phone off and back on. Nothing is helping.
My printer is on. Not asleep . I have a wifi connection on the printer as well as my phone.
If I to the hp printing app , my phone finds the 7520 printer and the small dot beside it will light green. As soon as I go to click on something to print my phone says " AirPrint not found"
I then go back to the hp printing app , to find that the printer green light is turned off and printer name / printer won't stay on. And Yes , there is wifi connection. It's almost as if ISO 8 , hp printing app , and whatever this "AirPrint " is , isn't connecting or firing together.
All was well until I did the update.
What else do I do when I reset everything ???? Totally lost and frustrated with iPhone at this point. I spent 2 days consuming my time to try to figure this out. I'm lost . And beginning to join the hate bandwagon for Apple

Hi Kaylaandcam, you might check this link: Printing Over a Wireless Network with Apple's AirPrint FAQs then go to

  • D110 used to be able to ePrint from iPhone, now it cant

    Hi,
A few months back, our D110 no longer is able to print from our iPhone or iPad, the print job just stalls.  When I first setup ePrint it worked with no problems.  The one thing I noticed is that the printer has an IP that is not internal to the home -- starts with 169.254 ...
Not sure if this allows for the remote web printing or not, and nothing has changed but printing fails.  The phone does detect the printer and the printer is connected to the WiFi access point, but printing does not work.
Is there anyway to restore the original flash in case the current rom is corrupt or not working  ?
The Apple devices all use iOS 6.1.
Additonally, I was able to wirelessly scan from the scanner to my iPad and this is no longer working either.  I have reinstalled the world as usual, but to no avail.
Any help will be paid with cookies.
    Peter

Well, no.  The printer still shows that IP address on the LCD but the report does show a 192.168 ...
However, I believe that the 169.254 is accurate as I can not even ping the printer with the address the report states.
I have a std cisco router and there are no networking issues with any other devices.  Again, nothing changed it just stopped working.
Is there a way to set the IP address statically ?   The router is setup to NOT HAVE DHCP clients.
    thanks.

  • Anyone successfully ePrint from iPhone using VPN?

    Hi,
Just got an HP C410A ... set it up (wired and Wi-Fi), can print to it from my Mac.
If I connect my iPhone 4 (yes, with the printing firmware to my LAN (via VPN and Wi-Fi),
I can see my Mac (and telnet into it ... but the airprint stuff in the iPhone can't find any printers.
    Any suggestions?
BTW, I'm assuming what should happen if it ever successfully talks to the printer is that I'll somehow
get prompted for the printer's "email address" to verify I have the right to access it.
But, if that's the case, why does the config page on the printer ask for a predefined list of *my* email addresses?  Is that
for some other feature?  (E.g., ability to email a print job to the printer?)
    thanks!
    Stan
    [email protected]

    windrunner...
I think you're right, some soon-to-be-working-at-Oracle employee mis-designed the **bleep** thing to
shut off the Wi-Fi when a LAN cable gets plugged in.
This, of course, is completely contrary to the stated-on-the-box capabilities of the printer ("has wired and wireless
networking" ... doesn't say "wired OR wireless").
Sigh ... I'll submit a problem report, but I suspect nothing will happen.
In my environment, the Wi-Fi is in a DMZ, and the wired is in a trusted area.  My desktop needs the wired
connection to print, and my iPhone / iPad needs the wireless.  So, I currently have to unplug the wire whenever
I want to print from the iPhone/iPad, and plug it back in when I'm done.
I'd deduced eprint was implemented via email after a test.  We've used something similar for a few years
with our Konica Minolta BizHub.  It's a shame HP didn't work with Apple to support ePrint on the iPhone/iPad
in addition to airprint.   (ePrint's advantage over airprint is the same as for email vs. web "mail" pages ...
it removes the need for both devices to be alive and communicating at the same time.)
BTW, yes, the HP C410A does support Airprint.  After configuring our WiFi access point to allow devices to see each other,
my iPhone (iOS 4.2) was able to find the the C410 and print on it!  (It doesn't use the email-based ePrint.)
I hate to think what's going to happen to either of the internet methods (wired/wireless) if I plug in a USB cable
My position: the printer should work while simultaneously plugged into a wired network, a computer via a USB cable,
and connected to a WiFi access point.  (Naturally, if one of the three is talking to the printer, it would look busy to the
other two.)  This isn't rocket science here, after all

  • Can't eprint from iPhone or iPad to Photosmart 5510

Just purchased HP PHOTOSMART 5510. Connected via TP-Link TL WR841N router . I currently have no PCs - just 2 iPads and 2 iPhones . 'Wireless ' and ' eprint ' lights illuminated on printer. The only time the printer will pick up any of the Apple devices is if I disconnect the wireless network via the printer controls - and then reconnect. It will then pick up the printer briefly and print to it-but then is unable to find it again and you have to go through the same procedure again. I've been through all the checks on HP site. Any ideas - could it be a router problem and if so - now do I fix it.

    Hello Bertramfegg,
To maintain a more stable connection from your printer to the network you should try these steps:
    1. Find out the IP address of the printer by pressing the wireless icon from the front panel of the printer.
    2. Open a browser on your iPad that is connected to the same network as the printer. Type the IP address of the printer into the browser's address bar. (i.e. http://192.168.1.5)
    3. Once you are in the webpage with the printers settings, click on the 'Network' tab.
    4. On the left side of the page click on the Network Address (IP) underneath the Networking heading.
    5. Click on the radio button next to Manual IP and then click the 'Suggest a Manual IP Address' button to have the system assign you a Manual IP address.
    6. In the Manual DNS Server boxes type the following:
    Manual Preferred DNS Server: 8.8.8.8
    Manual Alternate DNS Server: 8.8.4.4
    7. Press the Apply button to save these changes
Once you have saved the Manual IP settings you should power cycle the printer by unplugging the power cord from the printer, leaving it unplugged for 30 seconds, then reconnecting the power cord to the printer. Once plugged back in the printer should power on automatically.
Once the printer has powered back on try enabling Web Services again and see if it will allow you to connect.
If you are still having issues the try this:
First, unplug the printers power cord while it is still on. Leave it unplugged and walk to the router. While the router is still on, unplug the power cord from the router, leave it unplugged for 30 seconds, then reconnect the power cord to the router. Once plugged back in the router should power on automatically. Now go back to the printer and plug its power cord back in. Once plugged back in the printer should power on automatically.
Please let me know if this helps with your issue so I can help you further if needed.
If I have solved your issue, please feel free to provide kudos and make sure you mark this thread as solution provided!

  • How do I change my Pin for Scan-To-Email from ePrintcenter on the HP 7520 Photosmart?

Upon enterinng your email initially, you are sent a randomly generated 4 digit pin code for all your scan to email thereafter.
Is there anyway you can manage this account and change the pin?
I want to change it to something more easily remembered.
I have registered and logged into eprint on the HP website, but that only allows me to create posts here and add my printer to my account and change the eprint email of the printer. There is no option to link my eprintcenter account and/or change my pin number.

    Hi djlongy,
I am sorry at this time you cannot change your scan to email pin number.  I like your idea it would be a nice option to have.
    Hope this helps.

  • Eprint from Galaxy s5 phone to HP Photosmart 7525

I have an eprint HP Photosmart 7525 printer and I am having difficulty printing letter size (8" x 10") email documents from my Samsung Galaxy s5 phone.  The printer appears on my phone.  The wireless setting on the printer is on and I have the hp eprint app installed on my phone.  The printer is set to print on letter size paper and shows me this when I select print from my phone.  The document prints in a gray shadow horizonatally centered and approximately 3" wide and as many inches long as necessary to completely print the words in the document.  It does not print the header information (FROM, DATE, TO, SUBJECT, etc.) nor does it print across the full 8.5" page.  Has anybody got a fix for this?

  • I was able to eprint from my iphone until last week to my 6500 printer now it says mail is put in my

when i try to eprint from  iphone  it says it was rejected from eprint hp because the server does not allow relaying it used to work

    Hello again scottdanny,
Hmm i have not seen that message before so that's strange that it would be saying that but i have a few other suggestions for you.
    1. Have you been to ePrintCenter.com and registered an account? if so check your ePrint settings and find out if you are set to everyone can send you email or you have a authorized sender's list. Set it to everyone
    2. What type of printer do you have?
    3. Here is a list of the supported ePrint email clients. Previously you may have been able to send emails from your @smwireless.net and @irrspec.comit but both are not compatible with ePrint.
*Testing does not guarantee full compatibility
    •Outlook 2003, 2007
    •Hotmail, Yahoo! Mail, Gmail
•Apple Mail (iPhone, iPad, Macbook, MacbookPro) "@mac.com,@me.com specifically"
    •BlackBerry mail client
    •Nokia/Symbian client (Nokia)
Here is a list of the supported file types:
Note: The HP ePrint service does not support printing webpages via email at this time. HP is currently developing dedicated solutions to support webpage printing from mobile devices. Image files (like jpeg, bmp, tiff, etc) need to be at least 100DPI in order to print via ePrint. PGP encryption, digitally signed documents, macro-enabled spreadsheets and password-protected documents are not supported by ePrint at this time and will not print.
    •Microsoft Word
    •Microsoft PowerPoint
    •Microsoft Excel*
    •Text files (.txt)
    •PDF
    •HTML
•Images (bmp, jpg, png, gif, tiff)
    * It is strongly recommended that you preview documents in Excel before printing.
Here are the ePrint email size & Recipient Limitations
When sending emails to the Printer via ePrint there is a recipient limitation.  In either the To: BB: or CC: fields of the email, there can only be the one ePrint email address in the To: field.   When forwarding an email to the printer ePrint address, there can only be the ePrint address in the To: field.  The ePrint print job will fail if sent to more than just the ePrint address alone.
When sending emails to the Printer via ePrint there is a size limitation.  The email body and attachments together cannot exceed 5MB.
    4. Here is a sample test you should try from your phone
    To: [email protected]
    Cc/Bcc: leave blank
    Subject: ePrint Test
In the Body of the email just put:
    ePrint working test
Send the email like that no attachments no forwards
*note when sending ePrint you cannot forward a previously forwarded message basically:
Subject: fwd; did this print. Is Fine
Subject: fwd;fwd; did this print. Not Fine.
    5. Have someone send you an ePrint from one of the supported email clients?

  • Voice Memos- How to move from iphone 3GS to Mac?

Okay. How do I move a voice memo from my iPhone 3GS to my Mac? All software and hardware is current. All I want to do is move voice memos from iPhone to my Mac. Memos are 30 minutes plus and cannot email from iphone. So I want to move to my Mac and email if I want. How to? thanks! rr

    Syncing Voice Memos
iTunes automatically syncs voice memos to your iTunes library when you connect iPhone to your computer. This lets you listen to voice memos on your computer and provides a backup if you delete them from iPhone.
Voice memos are synced to the Voice Memos playlist. iTunes creates the playlist if it doesn’t exist. When you sync voice memos to iTunes, they remain in the Voice Memos application until you delete them. If you delete a voice memo on iPhone, it isn’t deleted from the Voice Memos playlist in iTunes. However, if you delete a voice memo from iTunes, it is deleted from iPhone the next time you sync with iTunes.
