Cannot Establish Gigabit Link Between Catalyst Switches and GSR Router

The GSR Gigabit interface is configured for no negotiation auto and the line protocol goes up when connected to the Catalyst switch.
The Catalyst switch port remains unconnected even when it is physically attached to the GSR router.

The flow control settings must match on both sides for the link to come up. It is highly recommended that you configure auto-negotiation to on for both devices. (Auto-negotiation is enabled by default on all Catalyst switches.) Otherwise, if you have a layer 1 problem, the link remains up and a unidirectional link will result.
The initial software releases that support Gigabit Ethernet on the GSR router do not support gigabit auto-negotiation.
The following command configures gigabit auto-negotiation on the Catalyst 6000/6500:
set port negotiation module/port disable|enable

Fast EtherChannel between Catalyst 3750 and 2821 Router

Hi Guys
I'm trying to setup a Fast EtherChannel between a cat3750-smi and a 2821 router that consists of only 2 links.
I am following instructions per TAC, but I'm getting an error along the way;
On the cat3750:
interface port-channel 1
no switchport
Command Rejected: Not a convertable port
Can anyone help???
Also... do the IP Addresses for the EtherChannel need to be the same for both port-channels? Or do I assign the switch like 192.168.1.1 and the router 192.168.1.2 ?

Hi Adam,
The ip address cannot be same but it should belong to same subnet. So one side 192.168.1.1 and other side 192.168.1.2 will work fine.
Its better to convert your layer 2 port as a layer port fist so what you do the port which you want to be port channel go that that interface and convert with "switchport" command
once it is a layer 3 port configure with channel group and automatically layer 3 port channel will be created and you can sssign an ip address then.
Just give a try and update if it works.

Cannot establish a link between MacPro and Windows 2003 Server

I just had an issue where we had a server crash. This server supports several PCs, as well as two Macs. The server has been brought back online and can communicate with all of the PCs. However, neither one of the Macs can now communicate with the server.
When I try to connect through the sidebar in the finder window, it will bring up the authentication window. But after I type in my password and hit enter, it gives me the message, "The alias "" could not be opened because the original item could not be found."
When I try to connect through Go>Connect to Server, it gives me the message, "The Finder cannot complete the operation because some data in "" could not be read or written (Error code -36).
My IT guy says that everything is alright with the server and that the problem has to be in the Mac settings. He does not know anything about Macs, however.
Can somebody help me out with this issue?

Link Aggregation: LGS318P Switch and LRT214 Router

The manual for my LGS318P is a little confusing (perhaps because I'm relatively new at more advanced features of networking).
I have an LRT214 router that I'm now routing all traffic through my LGS318P in the basement. From there it goes to multiple locations in the house, WAP's, etc. Currently, port 17 of the LGS318P connects to LAN1 of my LRT214 router. LAN2-4 are unused.
I would like to create a link aggregation for ports 17 and 18 to LAN1 and LAN2 of my router for both redundancy as well as possible speed improvement.
What is the best way to do this? Do I simply edit LAG1, place GE17 and GE18 as LAG port members, and select LACP to enable? Will that automatically set things up?
I don't want to do this then lose connectivity to my switch to reverse things.
Also, how many ports can be aggregated? Can I use 4 ports on the switch to the 4 LAN ports on the router?
What about the flow control option? Should that be disabled (default setting), enabled, or auto?

Link between PDS name and resource

Hi folks,
I've established a link between /SAPAPO/TRPROD and Setup Matrices using PDS name and resource to use in a custom extractor for BI. This works well starting out at /SAPAPO/TRPROD and working my way over to the Setup Matrix tables using function modules BAPI_PDSSRVAPS_GETLIST and BAPI_RSSRVAPS_GETLIST.
Now I want to validate that it's correct that I'm getting 0 results in a test system. Since /SAPAPO/TRPROD has some 3000 entries and /SAPAPO/SET_MID only 2, I figured it'd be easier if I take those two matrices and see if I can link them back to /SAPAPO/TRPROD (where I won't get any results). Does this make sense so far?
Moving on ... I've found that in table /SAPAPO/RES_HEAD I can find the resource associated with a Setup Matrix. I can't figure out though how to link the resources to the PDS. Any ideas?

You say that you want to link the resources with the PDS, right? Do you mean that you want to find a way to discover the resource associated with the PDS activities? If so, you can do that by reading the activity information of the PDS and getting the resource maintained there...

Establish link between Billing document and material document

Hi All,
I have billing document for some materials created using the FM BAPI_BILLINGDOC_CREATEMULTIPLE and I have created the material document for the corresponding materials using the FM BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE. Both these documents have been created in separate FM calls.
My requirement now is that I have to establish a link between these documents, so that the material document appears when the "Document flow" button is clicked in billing screen (VF02). Does have any suggestion for making this happen ? Any help will be highly appreciated .

you can have the data from BKPF through fields like AWKEY and AWTYP and VBRK (vbeln).
in bkpf there is a field called AWTYP in which you have to specify 'VBRK',and you have split AWKEY depending o upon the vbeln .
bkpf-awtyp = 'VBRK'
bkpf-awkey = vbrk-vbeln
bkpf-bukrs = vbrk-bukrs.

Establish the link between equipment and its standby equipmnent

Dear experts
How to establish the link between equipment and its standby equipmnent in SAP?
For example, I have one pump in a plant and also i have a standby pump installed next to it...now i would like to establish a relation between these two inorder to track them.
I tried linking them as subequipments, but logically that is not sub equipment.
what is the best way to do it?

Equipment & Standby equipments are installed on same Function location.
There are below workarounds for solutions.
1. Use Position Number
2. Use A,B,C indicator with Running & Standby status
2. Use link if it is applicable.
3. Use classification system & provide characteristic as Running / Standby
Further u can assign the System condom which is equivalent to equipment running or stop condition during transactional data creation like order..
If it is running it indicates it is working.
If it is in stop condition then at that time it is in standby mode.

Windows host cannot establish Ethernet link to Arch Router

This is a weird problem.
I have a Windows host about 20 meters away from my Arch Router, the Ethernet cable goes into the wall, with wall sockets, so it's a total of 3 cables (1 in wall, 1 @ router, 1 @ host). I've tested the Ethernet cables with a LAN tester, they are all fine. When I connect the host to a Linksys router using the same cables, an IP address is obtained and the link is up and running.
But when I connect the host to my Arch Router (an Arch computer with some network cards), no ethernet link at all is detected. No lights on the ethernet card of the host, and ethtool on the router reports the link being down. I have connected my laptop to this ethernet card of the router and it works just fine, I get an IP and I can surf the web etc.
I really have no clue why this other host cannot establish a link. Does anyone have a clue what the problem might be?

pyther is right. Check for Auto-MDIX support on your network cards.
What network cards are you using?
Rule of thumb:
Auto-MDIX is a requirement in the Gigabit Ethernet specification, so proper Gigabit capable cards will work 99% of the time whatever cable you use.
Fast Ethernet (100mbit) and below does not have Auto-MDIX in it's specification, so those 9 out of 10 of those cards will not perform it! When connecting these directly to another network card, use a cross-cable.
Also make sure the network cards are in working order. I assume the ArchRouter PC's network runs fine when you connect that to your Linksys router?

Dedicated Gigabit link between v880s

I would like to set up the ge interface on two v880's to be a dedicated gigabit link between them. However, I am having problems getting the link up. Here are the steps I have taken (on both servers):
1. connected ge interfaces with 50/125 fiber cable
2. vi /etc/hostname.ge0
3. vi /etc/hosts
4. ifconfig plumb ge0
5. ifconfig ge0 inet 192.168.10.x netmask 255.255.255.0 up
Following this, I can ping the local interface on each server, but I cannot ping the interface across the fiber. Here is the output of my ifconfig -a:

I notice that "RUNNING" is not present in the flags for the ge0 interface on either server. Should this be reason for concern. I have not done a reboot of the servers, but I don't think that should be necessary since these servers should have dynamic config.
Any ideas of what I am doing wrong?

If you are connecting the servers without a switch on oneof the server you need to reverse the connection.

2) this is where it is in mostly used in many indutries
just a small example how this strategy works
1) creat PIR for ur FERT- 100Nos
2) check in MD04- u will get PIR (VSF) as 100
3) now creat sales order for 120 for same month
4 )run MRP for that particular FERT
5) check the result in MD04, here ur PIR gets vanishied and an plan order will be generated for 120 Nos.

I am working on BO federator and now I need to establish the connection between BO federator and the oracle db to use this as the source for the federator,
I know we need to download the respective oracle DB connect .jar file from the oracle web site and place it under the drivers section(folder) of the BO Federator.

SID:SID is a unique name for an Oracle database instance. -> To switch between Oracle databases, users must specify the desired SID <-. The SID is included in the CONNECT DATA parts of the connect descriptors in a TNSNAMES.ORA file

Link between an IMAC and a NMT HDX 1000 via Ethernet

I have been trying to establish a link between my IMAC (OS X Lion 10.7.4) and a NMT HDX 1000 via a router Sagem Livebox / Ethernet cable.
I am able to see the HDX connected to the router with IP 192.168.1.12 but when I entrer the command : "afp://smb\\192.168.1.12\share" I always get the message : "The connection to the server smb failed".

I have an iMac running Snow Leopard connected by Ethernet cable to the internet via a wireless-capable modem running at 5mbps.
What is the make & model of this wireless-capable modem? If it is not an Apple product, then extending it with an AirPort Express (at least not by wireless) will not work.
Assuming that it is not an Apple product, then the only other choice would be to connect the Apple TV by Ethernet. However, I can certainly understand if Ethernet is not desireable or practical ... so an alternative to that would be to use Powerline adapters. These adapters take advantage of your home's electrical circuit to create a pseudo Ethernet one. You would then need at least two of these adapters to be placed at the locations of the wireless modem and the Apple TV. Each adapter would be connected to an electrical wall outlet and a short Ethernet cable would run between the adapter and the device (modem & Apple TV) to complete the circuit.

Thatu2019s correct what Nandagopal is saying, there is no table where you can see all G/L account associated to each expense.
However you can see the all your expense type relation to Wage type in view V_T706B4 and then respective wage type relation to symbolic account in view V_T706K.
Then you can check the link of symbolic account to particular GL account at below IMG Path.
Financial Accounting / Travel Management / Travel Expenses / Transfer to Accounting
Please note that the link happens in below manner and we cannot get any direct link between Expense type and GL account.
Expense Type -> Wage type -> Symbolic Account -> GL Account
