Cannot establish wireless connection with printer

HP Photosmart C4780/Windows 7 64 bit/no error messages
This printer was previously running on this PC via a network router.  I replaced the router with a new one and have not been able to reconnect the printer to the new network.  The printer works when connected via the USB cable.  The blue wireless light is ON on the printer panel.
Following the troubleshooting guidance of HP on line, I disconnected the USB cable and put in the printer install disk, hit launch pad/Configure Network Device which goes to a window "Reconfiguring Network Device".  This runs for hours and never gives me the next step (never asks me to connect the USB cable).
I was able to print out a Printer Status Report when the printer was connected via the USB cable.
Thank you
Cobi

You have to run the Wireless setup wizard from your printer to connect it to the network with your new router-
You will have to enter the SSID & WEP/WPA KEY
Although I work for HP, I am speaking for myself and not for HP.

  • Cannot establish wireless connection with WRT54G after power-off

My WRT54G (firmware v7.00.0) is connected to cable TV modem and
usually the wireless connection works fine, but after swiching off and later
on the power to WRT54G a laptop cannot establish WiFi connection to internet.
I can see in Odyssey software (for wireless communication) that my laptop
found the right network (SSID) but in status it says 'waiting for keys'.
I use WPA2 (TKIP). The laptop does not connect to internet.
When I connect it by cable (ethernet) the internet works fine, I have noticed
that by accessing the web-page utility of the router and simply clicking
save changes on wireless-settings page (without making any changes in
the settings) my laptop instantly establishes wireles connection and
everything works fine till next power swich-off.

Thanks for reply! I have my network in preffered, and the software/laptop locks on
the network (see it, says it have excellent signal strenght) and gives note
'waiting for keys' (the WPA2 encription key is in the settings - both of router and laptop client - Odyssey).
I've got firmware ver.7 so it is probably the latest.

  • Cannot establish wireless connection with Macbook

I bought Belkin ADSL2+ Wireless 802.11g Modem Router recently and have problems connecting via Airport.
However, the signal for the Macbook is strong and generally, I could connect for about 10-15 seconds. Afterwhich, a dialog box that states that there is an error connecting to the wireless network appears and the connection disappears.
It should not be a modem problem as I could connect to the internet via wireless on my PC and can even connect to VPN with the same router.
What could be the likely problem? Please help.
    Thanks!

  • Adobeconnect outlook add-ins version 3.5 cannot establish the connection with the server

i am using outlook 2010 and i have installed the outlook add-ins ver3.5 to my laptop. i was trying to login the server through add-ins with my login details. But it popup"cannot establish the connection to server, please check your server address and account", the server i am using is "intercall-apac.adobeconnect.com". Just want to know is there any port should be opened on the firewall?

Try putting https:// in the URL for the server instead of http:// (or check the box for a secure connection)

  • Office 2013 - Word cannot establish a connection with this document after the system resumed from suspend mode

    Hiya!
This issue has been answered numerous times for Office 2010 and Office 2007, but I have yet to any solutions or Hotfixes that work for Office 2013 (x64) on Win7.
    How to replicate the issue:
Open a file from a network share.
    Edit file.
Leave computer on with file open. Computer goes to sleep or into stand-by mode.
    Wait a bit
    Wake up computer
CPU opens file in Read-Only mode and gives you the following error "Word cannot establish a network connection with this document after the system resumed from suspend mode. Save the document into a different file to keep any changes."
    What I've tried:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2434898 - Office 2007 registry fixes. Does not apply.
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2413659 - Office 2010 problem. This exact issue. Says 'No microsoft products that match this hotfix are installed'
    Work Around:
I can saving new versions of these files overrides this issue, but this is sometimes not possible for end-users who only have specific access to ONE SPECIFIC FILE in a particular network share.
Please let me know how I can alleviate this issue!
    Thanks
    -Chris

    Hi,
Are those problematic documents created via previous versions of Office?
Please also try to run a repair of your Office 2013 installtion and check if it helps. See:

  • I cannot establish VPN connection with rv120w to shrew soft client

    1. I bought 2 rv120w router and install one direct to WAN and one behind router-hub.
    2. one behind router is set DMZ, and each are conneted Site to Site vpn
    3. I need to connect each site with my mobile devices(1 notebook, 2 Win8 tablets, 2 android devices )
    4. i use wibro mobile router, win8 devices're behind router, and their fort is fowarded(DMZ)
    5. I'll take care of Android devices later, here now, my trouble is Win8 devices
    6. i installed cisco QuickVPN software. frankly, that software is shit. i don't know why but it even cannot reach router, no log generated on rv120w. and i dont want PPTP connection. sorry for criticism but I'm sure many of QuickVPN users(and people who fail to be a user) agree with me. it's 2014. not 1998.
Cisco should be shamed for that software. it looks like a second grade collage student's 2nd semester project(Many of them're batter nowadays.) and doesn't work.
more amazing fact is that's only software that RV series provides officialy. What the...so in conclusion, Cisco does not provide any IPSec client connection tool at all. does that makes any sense?
    7. i tried 10 or more hours to make IPSec client connection with many vpn client soft ware, this is my closest shot.

  • Cannot establish wireless connection

I installed a wireless g router (wrt54g) and it was working fine.  Then I had some problems with my pc,,,and had to re-install windows and my linksys software.  Now I cannot connect wireless.  My router is working fine, but I have to keep the network cable connected between my laptop and port 1 of the router.  It still tries to connect to my wireless network that was set up before(ryan).  It is stuck on "aquiring network address.  I get 0.00.00.0 for my ip addy the wireless network is using.  I have tried to "repair" the wireless connection,,,and it freezes up and says it cannot renew my ip addy.  I am connected to the internet just fine.  I have tried the reset button on the back of my router.  What am I not doing right?  I cannot delete the wireless network from my windows that I was using before, and start all over which I thought would work.  The router and my wireless network are not communicating with each other.
Im using windows xp, with the linksys wireless g 2.4GHz router.  I have my cable modem, my laptop and my router.  Not trying to add more pc's.  Just tryin to turn my laptop back into wireless.  Please help.

When you pushed the reset button on your router you set it's configuration back to the factory defaults. Whatever settings you had originally modified on your router when you first set it up have been blown away. Since the router is now running on the original factory settings, you can easily get back into the router and reconfigure it. With your pc hardwired to one of the four ports on the back of the router, fire up your browser and enter 192.168.1.1 as the URL then press ENTER. It will prompt you for a username and password. Leave the username blank, enter the word admin for the password. Change the SSID field to whatever name you want to use for your wireless network. Sounds like you used 'ryan' before. If so, use that. If not, make something up other than 'linksys'. Make sure the SSID Broadcast option is ENABLED. Save the changes, reboot your router. Disconnect the network wire from your pc and reboot the pc. You should now be able to see your network, whatever you named the SSID. You should be able to connect to it. If you get the pc and the router talking wirelessly, you then want to think about going back into the router and setting up wirelss security to keep the rest of the world out. Read the router manual to see what the options are and how to go about doing it.

  • Firefox 4.0 cannot establish secure connections with banking sites like bank of america.

After authentication, the connection is reset and the page fails to load. Or, it takes a very long time to establish the session. Earlier versions of ffx didn't have this problem and IE access these site just fine at the same time when ffx fails.

I had the exact problem. It seems when connecting from firefox i was getting directed to onlineeast2 and then the connection would reset. When connecting from IE i was getting directed to onlineeast3 and the connection was fine. So I edited my hosts file to force onlineeast2 to resolve to the ip address of onlineeast3. This is working for me. here is what i put in my hosts file:
    171.159.66.159 onlineeast2.bankofamerica.com
    171.159.66.159 onlineeast3.bankofamerica.com
The hosts file can be found here:
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts

  • I cannot open my Yahoo Mail but everything else is OK.  When I click Yahoo Mail Icon, I get this error message "Safari Cannot open this page.  Safari can not establish secure connection with Yahoo Mail.

I cannot open my Yahoo Mail but everything else is OK.  When I click Yahoo Mail Icon, I get this error message "Safari Cannot open this page.  Safari can not establish secure connection with Yahoo Mail.

It sounds as though a script on the site, or an advertisement, is not working quite right...
When you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.
    (1) Bypass Firefox's Cache
Use Ctrl+Shift+r to reload the page fresh from the server.
(You also can clear Firefox's cache completely using:
orange Firefox button ''or'' Tools menu > Options > Advanced
On the Network mini-tab > Cached Web Content : "Clear Now")
    (2) Remove the site's cookies using either of these. Save any pending work first.
While viewing a page on the site:
    * right-click and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
    * Alt+t (open the classic Tools menu) > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
Then try reloading the page. Does that help?

  • Lost wireless connection with Lexmark Printer

MBPro with 10.8.1.  Lost my wireless connection with X6675 Lexmark printer.  How do I reestablish the connection.  My router is a Time Machine.

Did you solve your printer connection problem?  I have the same issue.  When I first turn the system on, it is connected.  But after a short time (a few minutes?) it loses connection between Mac and printer, even tho both are connected to my WIFI.  I have to turn the printer and and off to reconnect it to the Mac.  Very frustrating.  I have checked Netgear, Printer and Mac settings and can't find any explanation.

  • Computer cannot connect with printer cant open spool message

iMac is unable to connect with printer (HP PhotosmartC7200 series) Error message says can't open spool. Reinstalled the software' this corrected the problem for 1 printing job then back to same error message. Is ther a solution ?

Good. So the problem does not involve printer's drivers.
Have you followed the troubleshooting guide printing over a network.

am using Microsoft SQL server 2005, but i don`t know how to get or setup driver correctly.
    please explain how.
Are you specifically using "localhost" as the server name and thus the database is on your client box? If not then SQL Server must be configured to accept such traffic before it will work.
Other than that the most common problems are
    1. The port is wrong. It is either 1433 or 1434.
    2. The server name(or IP) is not visible from client computer. Nothing you do in java nor MS SQL Server will fix this.
