Cannot even create a new VM with a blank hard disk in SCVMM 2012 R2
In addition to finding the p2V capability inexplicably removed from Scvmm R2, and a number of other issues I have been having, I now cannot even create a new VM with a blank hard drive in SCVMM.

If you applied an Update Rollup, then every component of SCVMM needed that UR applied, even the workstation where you are running the cmdlets.
Also, if Windows Update automatically applied the updates, they might be piece meal partly implemented across the SCVMM Server, any required database scripts that need to be manually run, and management workstations.

Premiere elements 10 just started crashing cannot even create a new project
Premiere Elements 10 (mac) all of a sudden will not do anything but open and then crash. It doesn't matter if I open an existing project or even start a new one. As soon as you name your new project and hit save it crashes. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the program and the same thing is happening.

How to bring Photoshop Elements V12.1 back to working condition. Tried shutting down MacBookPro. Starting up. Launch Elements. Open a new file. Add text. Save file. App crashes. This is repeatable with different attempts. The app is useless at this point. Any ideas?

What if a Time Machine backup was created on a Mac with a large hard disk, e.g. 500GB iMac - and I buy a new MacBook Air with a small SSD hard disk e.g 128GB. What happens when I need to use the larger Time Machine file to set up the new MacBook Air? What happens to all those files that can't fit on the smaller SSD drive?
It is not the HD size, but rather the size of the data it contains. If you right-click your 500GB drive and select "Get Info" you can see how much is actually being used.
Naturally if you are using more space than the new drive has, then you have to make some choices about what you want to keep and what you want to keep archived.
I don't know what options are available but you may simply have to do a manual restore of files you want, in groups. -
I have windows 8.1 and cannot access itunes store even creating a new apple id. With other users on the same computer I can access itunes store. How can I solve this?
i had the same problem before using a fresh install of Windows 8.1. I have resolved this issue by running the program compatibility wizard. This I did by right-clicking on the iTunes icon in the desktop, selecting Troubleshoot compatibility, waited for it to detect compatibility issues and when presented with the following options: 1.) Try recommended settings; 2.) Troubleshoot program, I chose the latter. When asked what problems I noticed, I checked the following: "The program worked in earlier versions of Windows but won't install or run" and "The program requires additional permission"
After that, it tired to resolve the issue, and provided the necessary settings to run iTunes. Now it's running flawlessly. I have Avast anti-virus installed though.

Our Apple TV worked great for 11 months and all the sudden it doesn't get itunes, netflicks or anything. Won't even let us log into it. Says Itunes isn't available however it's available on my pc and lets me log in on any pc. I even created 2 new accts and logged into them on the pc but apple tv still won't allow login. Tried reconfiguring wifi and other settings. No go still. Help!

If i cancel an account can I create a new one with the same e-mail address?
I made an account with Game Center and I wanted to use it to get some free apps on the iTunes Store. When I tried to sign in on iTunes (for Windows) it said I had to review my details. I didn't have a credit card so I couldn't complete it and there wasn't any option for no credit card.
I wondered if I could cancel my account and create a new one with the same e-mail address. There was a discussion that you could create a new account on the iTunes Store and have the choice to not have a credit card.
Any help will help!
SuperHoopsNo, it does not, not if the creation of the Apple ID was completed, which unless you are referring to a different Apple ID I presume it did since you are posting here. And once created, you can't get apps without providing a payment method; setting up for just free apps requires a very specific procedure or a payment method is necessary. Creating an account via Game Center does not work.

Read the steps carefully as the order in which you follow them is critical. Note that you can do this only when creating a new Apple ID. You cannot use an existing ID.
You will of course not be able to get anything other than the free apps without entering in some sort of payment method (credit card, prepaid iTunes card, gift certificate, etc.)

When I click a link in thunderbird and also on firefox it creates a new tab with nothing in it, a blank web page. If I click the link again it creates a new tab with the link. If i click it again, a blank tab, click it again,new tab with the correct info. It seems to work only on the even numbered clicks not the odd ones.
If you delete all the Adobe Reader stuff it will probably fix this. For almost everything, the Apple pdf handling works better.

Few days ago one of our content db went into suspect mode. Our DB team had resolved the issue. But one of the sites that was created probably around the same time is no more available. When I try to create a site on the same URL, I get the following
error.
Another site already exists at <URL>. Delete this site before attempting to create a new site with the same URL
When I try to delete the site or if I try to view the details of the site using Central Administration, I can find the site, but it doesn't display any details like Title, DB Name etc.
If I use stsad -o enumsites command to list ll the site, for the given site I get the following error:
<nativehr>0x80070002</nativehr><nativestack></nativestack>There is no Web named <URL>.
I am not even able to delete it using Powershell.
Please suggest.

How to create a new file with existing file's resource fork?

I would like to create a new file that has the resource fork of an existing file. I had though of making a copy of the existing file, seek to the beginning of the copy and write the new data, but for large files, that creates the whole file even when not needed. I currently create the new file with [NSFileManager createFileAtPath: contents: attributes:], but attributes do not include resource fork items, like custom icons, color label, etc.
[NSURL resourceValuesForKeys] gives a common subset of resource data, like icons and color label, but that's about it. Is there some way to get the resource fork or a copy of the file without getting the whole file?
ThanksWhat are you trying to do here? While resource forks might still be quasi-supported, you really shouldn't be thinking about them as such. Instead, think in terms of extended attributes. You can use the low-level xattr() functions to get some of that or you can use the new NSURL methods.

You need to ask Apple for assistance with getting back into your old ID. To do this, click here and pick a method; if that page doesn't list one for your country or you're unable to resolve this issue through the Account Security team, fill out and submit this form.

Could it be so that I have deleted the old AppleID? All applications are still on the device, but I cant get them on new device. Thank you in advanceSo For everyone that is having the issue of iCloud asking for an old email there is a very simple fix, as long as its a simple switch from one email to another on one apple ID account.
1. Sign into appleid.apple.com with your current ID.
2. Edit the primary email to the one requested. (You DO NOT need to verify the old email.)
3. Sign out of iCloud on any device using the old ID.
4. Edit the primary email (on appleid.apple.com) back to the desired email address.
5. Verify that email address.
6. Sign into iCloud with the correct email.
As for anyone that is unable to verify their account due to not receiving the verification email, contact apple support for further assistance.
