Cannot exceed 130 mbps on a e2000

I have a e2000 wireless N router that is supposed to be able to get at top 3000 mbps.  I have one pc with a wmp600n wireless adapter connecting to it and can only get 130 mbps.  Both the router and wireless card are both dual band from which i understand is needed to get 300 mbps.  I have tried every possable combination settings in the wirless tab in the router on 2.4 and 5 but never see my connection speed exceed 130 mbps.
The router is on newest firmware and i have the latest drivers from ralink for the wirless card.  Also on the wieless card I have multimedia/gaming enabled (Im assuning this means use 40 mhz enabled).  The router is in the next room so im not very far away at all.
Any help would appreciated.  I know I may not get 300 mbps out of this thing as thats the top in perfect conditions but I should atleast be able to get in the 200's.  The router says it can do 300.

  • The database name cannot exceed 50 characters

I am trying to create an offline copy of my BCM database in Outlook 2013. I have connected to my remote server which LeadershipSBSE\BCM and the database name itself is just LS. (I have shortened it as much as I can.) Despite these efforts, whenever I try
and create the offline copy, it tells me the "database name cannot exceed 50 characters."
I quite literally CANNOT shorten anything else. How can I get this to work?
    Thank you in advance.
    Veronica

As mentioned above, the INSTANCE name that I am typing in is "LeadershipSBSE\BCM" and the actual DATABASE name that I am selecting is "LS". I started with much longer names, but have actually created a second SQL instance with a shorter name (BCM) and a
new database with the name "LS". I quite literally CANNOT make this any shorter.
I am using Windows 8.1 and Outlook 2013.
I think I may have figured something out with regard to the error, though. My profile name was crazy long, since I was using a Google apps profile. When I switched to a different Outlook profile named "Outlook", I no longer got that error message. Now, though
I am getting a "Database creation was unsuccessful" and in the Windows event log, I'm getting an Application error 1000 with these details:

    pl help me regarding this
    thanks & regards

    Hi,
It is more related to db level restriction.Since we may not have more  than 16 key fields  in a table so we can not  have more than 16 dim table for cube. Please give a close look the doc below that will help you a lot.

  • I cannot see my MBP (Lion) from iMac (Leopard)

We have a suite of iMacs in our office, and I've never had a problem before finding my laptop (MBP) from those iMacs.  However, since buying a new MBP (Lion) a few months ago, I cannot see the computer listed.  I can connect by typing in the afp:// location, but this seems like more hassle than it should be.  I am also unable to see the iMacs (most are 10.5.8) from my MBP.  Can anybody tell me what I might be doing incorrectly?  File sharing is turned on.  Thanks.

I assume you are using a mini-displayport/thunderbolt to HDMI adapter.
Did you set the TV to take its input from the HDMI connection?
Since you don't see the Arrangment tab in your Displays preferences there's probably something physically wrong with your connections.  Try clicking detect displays just to see if the computer can now sense the presence of the connection.  Check your cables and make sure the mini-displayport plug is pushed firmly in.  Mini-displayport plugs can be a little tricky in that you need to make sure the plug is fully seated in their socket.
Once you have an Arrangement tab, and it shows two screens, then click Gather Windows to bring the TV's Displays preferences on to your main screen if the TV is not yet showing an image.  Set the proper resolution (probably 720p, 1080i, or 1080p).  Set the refresh rate (probably 60Hz) if that preference is shown.  You should see a picture at this point.  I  recommend turning off mirrored displays if it is enabled.
You may have to play with the underscan/overscan settings on your TV and the displays prefs for the TV if the picture is too small or larger for the TV screen.

  • Terminal height cannot exceed one monitor?

    Hi All,
Using 10.7.5, with a multiple monitor setup (Macbook Pro Retina + external), and the external monitor arranged to be directly above the laptop display.  Menu bar located at the top of the upper (i.e. external) screen.
I am unable to resize a Terminal.app window to be larger than the height of the monitor it is located on, even if it already has been moved to span both monitors a little bit.  Is this deliberate?
The restriction doesn't seem to apply horizontally - i can rearrange the displays and make a single terminal wide enough to span both.  As another interesting data point, the font quality degrades noticeably when the width exceeds 500 characters (for my chosen font size, it might depend on that), but that's not my main problem.
Has anyone seen this?  Is it fixed in e.g. Mountain Lion?
    Cheers!

  • Cannot turn off MBP monitor/display

I have a 15inch MBP running Boot Camp and XP. I am trying to use the "turn off monitor" setting in power options from the contol panel. However when the time is up it does not turn off the monitor...
Also when the "turn off monitor" feature is suppose to trigger, it disables my screensaver.
I don't want my computer to sleep, I just want to turn the monitor off. Right now I just dim the screen until it fades a little but I can still see my desktop screen so I know it is on.
Can anyone tell me how I can turn off the monitor?

Support are now quoting Apple's engineers as saying it is now "expected behaviour" under Lion for the MBP's internal display to reactivate upon opening the lid, even if you want to use only your external display. A new version of the clamshell mode-related knowledgebase article (replacing HT3131) is due shortly confirming this.
    This is despite:
    - the obvious temperature-related benefits that were achievable (under Snow Leopard) by opening your MBP lid whilst continuing to output solely to, say, a 27" cinema display
    - the waste of energy and inefficient use of graphics processing power in needlessly running two active screens (ie if running your MBP in clamshell mode would otherwise make it too hot and/or noisy)
    - the negative longer-term impact on the battery and other components from running the MBP any hotter than it needs to be.
If you would like to have the previous behaviour restored, please lobby Apple to change how Lion handles clamshell mode. Options available to them include changing Lion's expected behaviour or adding a user-selectable option within System Preferences.

  • E2000 max wireless-n speed 72 Mbps?

I just bought a refurbished E2000 wireless-n router with 1 Gb LAN ports (from Cisco online).
This router is meant to replace my Netgear wireless-n router that only have 100 Mb LAN ports.
I have 10 devices in my home network, 6 of them are using wireless (1 'g' and 5 'n') and 4 are interconnected with cat5e cables (trough the router).
The devices have some different operating systems and their network adapters are from different brands.
When I set up the Netgear router I didn't have to adjust anything for the wireless network to work fine.
All wireless-n devices worked at 150 Mbps (sometimes going down shortly to 130 Mbps).
The wireless-g device worked at 54 Mbps.
For the last 2 days I've been trying to set up the E2000 to achieve a wireless-n speed higher then 72 Mpbs... without success.
I tried all the suggestions that I found in the Cisco Knowledge Base.
    - Upgrading the firmware to the latest version
    - Trying different channels and channel widths
    - Different wireless security methods
    and many others.
Also trying different settings on the different devices doesn't help.
Changing the distance between router and devices as well as changing the location of the router don't affect the results.
Switching on only 1 device at a time doesn't change anything either.
It looks like the E2000 is set to not transmit on a higher speed than 72 Mbps, when it's actually supposed to achieve a wireless-n speed of up to 300 Mbps. I would be lucky if I get the half of it, but not if it's only one fourth.
Is there some hint somebody can give me?
    Thanks!

According to the information that you provided in your post that after upgrading the firmware you didn’t reset the Router to factory default and configured again…. So reset the router power cycle the whole network and then reconfigure it again… As well as update the drivers of the WLAN card installed in the wireless computers….
So if you want to configure the Router with the help of the Cisco Connect Software then…
You need to uninstall the existing Cisco Connect Software from the computer if there...
Reset the Router and power cycle the network...
Make the following connectivity: Connect the Modem with the Router on the Internet port and then connect the Computer with any one of the Ethernet port of the Router (Numbered 1, 2, 3 and 4)... Then install the Cisco Connect Software...
It will help you in configuring the Router...
But if you want to configure it manually the follow the following steps…
    For DSL Connection:

    For Cable Connection:

  • The biggest harddrive for a MBP CD?

I'm looking to replace the harddive in my MacBook Pro Core Duo and was wondering if there was a limit (beyond the physical limit of building a small harddrive that is). Thanks

Height of drive is a limitation.
For the 15" MBP at least, the height cannot exceed 9.5. Check the dimensions of drives that you are finding as many have a 12.5 height. Look at the specs of options for the new 15" LED and 17" new MBP and note that the 15" can have one that is 200 GB and the option for the 17" is 250 GB.
Height is likely to be a factor as it had been with the early MBPs and the optical drives.

  • IMac no longer connecting @ 270 mbps on 5GHz n Network in wide mode....

    Hi everyone,
Hoping someone can shed some light on this.
I have a wrt610n dual band n router. Up until a few weeks ago all my n enabled devices were connecting at speeds of upto 300 mbps (except the iMac which would only ever reach 270 mbps).
Now the iMac will only connect at 130 mbps max. Both network utility and alt clicking on the wireless icon in the menu bar read a rock solid 130 mbps, whereas a few weeks back it was a rock solid 270 mbps.
I have been through all the usual rigmarole of checking settings on the router, re-flashing, deleteing all existance of wireless networks on the iMac etc.
No matter what the iMac will still only get 130. I can put my 2 laptops next the iMac and they will both hold rock solid speeds, in excess of 200 mbps for the HP and 300 (yes 300) mbps for the MBP.
I know for a fact my router hardware is set to wide (40 MHz), and that it is the 5GHz band I am connecting to. I am using WPA2 Personal AES for security. I have been through fiddling with the Beacon Interval, RTS and Fragmentation Thresholds as suggested in other posts around the net, even forcing the mcs to 15:270 mbps etc etc, all with no avail.
Before anyone starts, it's nothing to do with the country I am in, or inflated speed quotes by manufacturers, 300 mbps is realised for me so be sure I am not dreaming of theoretical maximums.
This network throughput was excellent, capable of streaming full 1080p HD to the Xbox whilst numerous other transfers are taking place, now this glory is no more.
Basically it was connecting at 270 mbps in this location with the self same settings, and now it is not. So far as I can remember nothing has changed drivers wise on the iMac...
In case it is of help I have grabbed this from system profiler.

  • How do I get 2560x1600 with a 30" Dell display in Bootcamp on the Retina MBP

I had a MBA 11" that recognized the 30" Dell 3007WFP display at its native resolution.
To get it to work in Mountain Lion I used the "hold option when scaling" trick. Success.
    Bootcamp though isn't working.
Since getting Retina MBP and Mountain Lion Bootcamp NVIDIA graphic drivers installed, I can play games on the Retina at 2880x1800 fine, and the external only works at 1280x800. It shows that it can go up to 2560x1600 but it doesn't actually work.
Is there something wrong with Apple's adapter for Thunderbolt to DVI-D Dual Link and the new drivers or the MBP Retina's Thunderbolt port?  The display is only receiving Single Link instead of Dual Link, limiting the resolution to 1280x800 instead of 2560x1600.

    hi guys
before I bought Retina, I did a little research on the internet...
I remember reading that for the time being, you cannot use retina MBP with other displays at max or higher resolution under bootcamp...
I read that the driver for this retina mbp video card was Apple Mac OsX specific or something like that.
Therefore, no support under other than Mac osx environment yet...
I don't know if I made myself clear...
you can do a little research on the internet and you'll easily find articles talking about this issue...

  • Lack of audio in on a MBP

A processor failure has forced me to buy a new MBP. I make films and used my old MBP for editing and most importantly, capturing audio real time in stereo (live music) and mono for key interviews. Interviews often in remote places so I cannot cart the MBP around and use the built in mic - wind noise also a problem. New MBP cannot do this. Apple support suggest I spend $200 on Logic-Pro. any other solutions?

I've used the "audio in" to determine a fan's RPM, using a microphone. The problem I see with your application idea is the slow sample rate required. I believe choices are 11K, 22K or 44.1K samples per second for the audio input drivers - at least the version I've used. An example of an ocilloscope using the audio sound card drivers can be found at:

Perhaps you can modify this to suit.
