Cannot Export Music Library to a Text file

Hi,
I just updated to Version 12. In the previous version you were able to export your itunes music listing to a text file. The feature has disappeared is there a workaround?

Enable menu bar with Ctrl+B if needed.
Select the Music view.
File > Library > Export Playlist.

ITunes v8.1 does not export music library in plain text w/proper CR/LFs?

Just an FYI...I can recreate this every time. Has anyone else tried and seen the same issue with the new v8.1? I never had this issue with the previous iTunes release. Thanks!
The new iTunes v8.1 released yesterday does not export the music library in plain text with proper CR/LFs.
To recreate this bug:
Select Music from your library
Go to File -> Library -> Export Playlist...
Save as a Music.txt and view the output file.
You will see a continuous single line that contains correct tab separations. However, the correct end of the subject headers in addition to each song (which should be it's own line) is missing proper CR/LFs to format the file correctly.

Seeing it with 8.1 under 10.4.11 too.
I was really hoping that 8.1 was going to fix the problem with text export mangling accented characters, not to keep that bug and add a major new one on top of it!

I have copied my music library from two different files from extewrnal hard drive into the Itunes folder. I tunes only recognizes some of the songs. I have reloaded 5 times and can't get intunes to recognize all my songs? HELP!

Copy it from your old computer or your backup copy of your old computer.
The sync is one way - computer to ipod.

In my Music Library the MPEG format files are greyed out and I cannot edit them, any ideas?

I have imported both ACC and MPEG files into my Itunes music library. On the ACC tunes I can edit information through Get Info command. On the MPEG tunes I cannot edit the information through Get Info command as all entries are greyed out. Any ideas?

Exporting list of tables to text files?

Anyone have solution for exporting list of SQL tables to text files?
My goal is to have a flexible/dynamic way to export sql tables to text files that is executed via a sql job. I plan on having a configuration table that has sqltablename, fieldstoexclude (maybe fieldstoinclude - not decided), path, filename, includeheader,
delimiter. So the SSIS package will query the configuration table and that will be the loop. One text file for each configuraton.tablename row.
Does anyone have an already built solution that they can share? I have seen some with vb script and am not opposed, but would like to have a strictly SSIS package that uses SQL queries for the solution.

Cannot export 3D model from 3D PDF file

Hello,
I'm trying to export a model in 3D PDF file with Acrobat 3D to a 3D file format but when I right click on the model no export function shows. Looking in the properties of the file it says that it is not secured (everything in Document Restriction Summary is "Allowed"). Am I doing something wrong?

The PDF file you have received has been created with the option 3D Format in PDF: U3D ECMA3.
Therefore you cannot use the export data function.
Only files created using 3D Format in PDF: PRC Brep can be exported to another format.
I would suggest you to ask for the native CAD files or maybe to ask for another PDF file converted using 3D Format in PDF: PRC Brep.
This is not a bug this is just as designed.

X6 Music library got corrupted. File manager plays...

Hi,
I have X6 with version 21.0.004 installed.
I have downloaded ~300 songs from ovi music. Everything has worked fine until yesterday.
I was listening one album and tried changing to another, phone was kind to inform "File is corrupted operation cancelled" Then I was only able to play that one last listened album. Today I could not even listen that one anymore. First every album I tried opening gave an error, now Music player crashes when trying to open anything.
I tried playing files from file manager and it played just fine.
Any ideas?

Google had solved this issue for Nokia 5800 and it seemed to work with X6 too.
Search for: "Nokia 5800 refreshing corrupted music library"
Music player library database files are the ones corrupted. Those exist in mass storage (E: ) private directory.
You can get access to private by connecting your phone with PC in "mass storage mode" and enabling "show hidden files and folders" from windows.
Remove files from these directories (do not remove directories)
Private\101f8857\Cache\E
Private\101ffca9
And finally, remove:
mpxv2_2.db and mpxv2_2.db-journal(Mp3 library db)
pcv6_1.db and pcv6_1.db-journal (podcast library db)
from Private\10281e17
If you think the above is too difficult, another way of solving this issue would have been backing up/formatting mass storage (E: )
Edit: I hope you guys in Nokia have a bug reported about this issue...

Fastest way to export to a pipe-delimited text file

I'm using Oracle 9i and need to export a table that has 150 million rows into a text file (or multiple text files based on a query that divides the table). I'd like it to be pipe-delimited and without quotes around strings.
How can this be done so that it runs fast? Keep in mind, I'm kind of a newbie.

I don't know what the fastest method would be but I would put quite a bit of money on it not being the Oracle SQL Developer tool, which is the subject of this forum.

Exporting 5 mil records is going to require lot of memory and even if you implement, the users are not going to like it.
May be, you can implement a 'submit' button and when the user clicks submit a concurrent program. This concurrent program will generate the output file.
You can do other fancy things like displaying the status and to download the file in OAF itself.

I just brought an ipad4. I used icloud to download my iphone apps into my ipad. However, doing such, I cannot not sync my music library. Please help! The strange things are that I can do it into my ipod and iphone 5

you can only sync to one itunes library at a time. If you change your computer or replace the HD and install a new OS, itunes will create a new library and the phone will not sync to this one unless it got erased before by itunes.
To get your music back to the phone make sure your new itunes is authorized in the Store menu: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1420

So bought a new computer transferred my music library to i tunes from the old MAC harddrive... and now I cannot sync my music library or podcasts with my ipod...only contacts.,.I spent hours trying tofigure this out and it is breaking my heart....

Cannot get music library selections from my old computer to appear on new computer

I tried without success to get my music library transferred, or exported to my new computer. I turned on home sharing on my old computer by putting in my username, my email, and my password. The screen said that this was done. I then turned on home sharing on my new computer using the same username and password for my apple ID account.
I could not get the 2798 songs on my old music library to transfer to my new computer so that I could put my library into my new computer.
When I went to help and searched for "Using Homesharing to import items from another itunes library", even though I followed the directions, I could not execute item #4, "to import items from another computer, select the computer (below shared), and drag items from its library to yours." I could not do this, is there anyone out there that can help me??

Many ways.goggle it. You can buy an external hard drive or a flash drive depending how large your music library is.

Hi you can put a new line in a text file using System.getProperty("line.separator"). This implementation will work for every OS.

Exporting music library from PC iTunes to Mac.

In the next few weeks i'm planning on switching from a PC to a Mac. I was wondering if you can transfer/export the entire iTunes library...not the individual music files, but the whole iTunes library and put it on the Mac. I was planning on putting the individual files onto a portable hard drive and just copy it over, but my music (which consists of over 2000 songs) is in various folders on my computer, so that wont be practical.

If your media is not already all inside the iTunes Media folder then the first step is to consolidate your library in order to achieve this end.
Copy the entire iTunes folder to an external drive on your PC.
Connect the external drive to the Mac and copy the iTunes folder into the Music folder in your Mac profile, overwriting what is there if you've currenly installed iTunes and it has an empty library.
On the Mac, rename *iTunes Library.itl* as *iTunes Library* and delete *iTunes Library Genius.itdb* (apparently the Mac & PC versions are not compatible).
Start iTunes on the Mac. Ratings, playcounts, playlists etc. should all have transfered.
If you'll not be using the PC again then deauthorise it.
