Cannot export/ print a report

Hi all,
I generate a report from my engineering workbench, but the report cannot be exported/ printed? Can anybody point me to the solution?

If it is a 'Z' report, it may require expertize of Abaper for Code Correction, so that the report can be printed.

When sub-reports are exported or printed, then the complete report gets exported/printed instead of only the content of the sub-report.

I have got several (6-7) subreports in the m ain report. Several times client is interested in printing/exporting data of sub-report only for which when they try to export/print sub-report, entire report is getting export and print.
We have upgraded application from crystal 8.5 to crystal 2013 RAS API now. Earlier with crystal 8.5, client was able to export/print only sub-report.
It will be great if somebody can share his/her expertise with us.

As per my knowledge, currently there are no APIs available to export only subreport.

CrystalReportViewer export/print report without CSS styles

Hello,
I've faced with one issue in CrystalReportViewer control and couldn't solve it by my own efforts. Before I wanted post it exactly to this forum I've found that some people already faced with that problem too...but nobody didn't receive any answer, so I have a big hope that I'll receive it here.
My problem is related to CrystalReportViewer control and especially to its styles. I have a test application which has just one aspx page which displays very simple test report (just 3 TextObjects, for test purposes) and each TextObject has its own style which stores in css file in my web site. So, CrystalReportViewer control displays report correct, but when I export/print this report to PDF or any other document all styles are lost.
Could someone help me with this issue or maybe just point me what thing I missed or just tuned incorrect.

It's a pity that this control hasn't possibility to export/print report with its styles, because I think it is a very useful thing.

Cannot choose printer when printing HTML report

Hello,
I have lost many many hours trying to print correctly a report that is composed only of a JPEG image.
After a conversation in the forum, I concluded that the LabVIEW has a bug printing Standard Reports, as it cannot manipulate correctly the margins and the scale of the image. But, when using Standard Reports I could choose which printer to use.
So, I use HTML Reports that print the report smoothly, but the choise of the printer has a problem. No matter which printer is chosen by a Ring Menu, it prints to same printer all the time.
Could you please give me any hint to solve this problem?

Being employed at NI I am obligated to provide a big disclaimer about the information I am about to provide:
MANUALLY CHANGING YOUR WINDOWS REGISTRY CAN CAUSE CORRUPTION AND ERRORS IF YOU ARE NOT CAREFUL. DO SO AT YOUR OWN RISK.
With that being said, nikosfs was on the right track by editing his Windows Registry to perform this action. Please see the following steps, and see if it helps further explain what you need to do:
Open the Registry Editor. To do this, click Start >> Run and type "regedit", then press OK.
Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows. In this key there should be an entry called Device with values that should match up with your default printer.
Right click on the Windows key, choose "Export" from the menu that pops up, and save the Registration File as printer1.reg.
Leaving the Registry Editor open, change your default printer. To do this, go to Start >> Settings >> Printers and Faxes. Right click on the printer that you want your report to print to, and choose the option "Set as Default Printer".
Go back to the Registry Editor, it should be noted that the value of the Device entry has changed to the new default printer. Right click on the Windows key again, choose "Export" from the menu that pops up, and save the Registration File as printer2.reg
These two files may now be used to manipulate your default printer settings in conjunction with the System Exec.vi. The figures below show how to use the registry files and the System Exec.vi.
→ The "/s" in the text field makes sure that this vi will run without interrupting regular user interaction.
→ The path constant is set to "c:\" because the Registration Files were saved directly in the C drive. Change according to location of Registration Files.
Make sure that this operation is called before the Print Report.vi is called, as it will print just to the default printer.

Cannot save or export a system report

How do I save or export a "system report" to something such as .pdf, or .xls file? I am running a profit and loss from within SAP and I can view the report and then print preview in the "system report" I created, however I cannot save it so that I can have it to send or keep on our network for future reference. Am I doing something wrong or is this a limitation of the system ready reports? Most of my options are grayed out, except .pdf which I can see the icon but the "export pdf" portion is grayed out. Any help would be great.

Yes I can see that I can export to excel or pdf from the original report, but when I preview it in the report that I wrote for "our" specific view then I cannot export. If I export it not through the preview then I have to re-arrange all the info each and every time.

Crystal report Export/Print issue with Non default websites

I have an issue and its driving me nuts.
My problem i guess with the crystal reports. Might also be with IIS.
We have developed an website on VS2008. This website is configured on IIS 8.5
The server on which iis8.5 runs is a virtual server.
I have configured the website to run as two different virtual directories as mentioned below;
1) To run under default website (servername/virtualdirectory)
2) To run under complete separate website (www.abc.com/virtualdirectory)
if i run crystal report using the servername/virtualdirectory, then the report is rendered fine and i can export the results also to any format and print successfully.
But when i run the crystal report using www.abc.com/virtualdirectory, then the report renders fine but i cannot export the results nor print. Nothing happens when i click the export button.
Any help will be highly appreciated.

In addition to Don's suggestion. Remember that almost any action in the viewer will cause a post back - including clicking on the export button. If the report is not in session, the post back may fail and nothing will happen. See the following code on how to place a report object into a session:

Hyperion IR 9.3.1 - Issue in printing the report after exporting it to pdf

Hi All,
I am facing a problem in printing the report after exporting it to pdf format using Hyperion Interactive Reporting 9.3.1. I have set page size of report section to 11X17 inch landscape. Now I am exporting this report section to pdf. Report gets exported to pdf with size 11X17 inch landsacpe. But when I am trying to print this pdf it is shrinking the documnet size to A4 size paper and printing it rather it should print it on 11X17 inch paper size. Please suggest if there is fix available for this issue.

"File > Print Setup > Paper > Size" on PDF.
I think this issue is only to do with the printer and not IR.
I think the question now is "Can your printer print 11X17 pages or not".

CRVS2010 Beta - Cannot export report to PDF with unicode characters

My report has some unicode data (Chinese), it can be previewed properly in the windows form report viewer. However, if I export the report document to PDF file, the unicode characters in exported file are all displayed as a square.
In the version of Crystal Report 2008 R2, it can export the Chinese characters to PDF when I select a Chinese font in report. But VS2010 beta cannot export the Chinese characters even a Chinese font is selected.

Barry, what is the specific font you are using?

Using non-Chinese font with Unicode characters (Chinese) the issue is reproducible when using Arial font in Unicode characters field. After changing the Unicode character to Simsun (A Chinese font named 宋体 in report), the problem is solved in Cortez and CR both.

Crystal Report error - "the group section cannot be printed..."

Hello to everyone.
I have a CR report based on a database view.
Everything is ok when i run the report in the CR designer but choosing the option to preview the report or run it from the SAP Business One (8.81 PL 08) i get an error:
"the group section cannot be printed because its condition field is nonexistent or invalid. Format the section to choose another condition field. Error in file "the Report name".rpt. Invalid group condition".
i must say that this happens in all my reports where i have group data. Also i must say that all those reports were ok some days before...
Is there a way for me to know what field is it refering to?
I have verified the DB and it is pointing correctly and the also the View returns data.

We have upgraded the customer from PL05 - > PL08 a week ago.
Do you think that maybe this is the problem?

Cannot Print Excel report in Excel Online

Hi,
I have a Excel report that retrieves Project Data (using the OData feed). The report is housed in the Reports document library created with a PWA instance. When using Excel Online to view the report in the browser, I receive an error message saying that
the report cannot be printed (from the browser). Instead the message states that the Excel file should be opened in Excel.
Has anyone seen this before? Is this a limitation of utilizing Excel reports in Project Online?

From what I can tell, only highlighting (selecting the cells) and using the print selection works. You can't set the print area in Excel (desktop).

InDesign CS3, Cannot Export (greyed out) or Print

HELP!! I am having trouble Printing and Exporting in InDesign CS3 only(mac osx), I can Export and Print on all other Adobe programs that are installed on my computer.
I can also still create a PDF through the Adobe PDF presets, but cannot EXPORT or PRINT!!! Under the File Settings, Export is Greyed out, while Print is Black, but nothing happens when clicked.
Any ideas???... My printer driver is working good as I print to 3 printers at the moment and make pdfs of a regular basis and this has never happened before. It just seemed to happen out of the blue when I turned my computer on one morning. I've been working the long way around for now, but now need it fixed desperately!!!

The classic question is what were you doing just before this? Programs usually don't stop working for no reason "out of the blue," so most likley something else has changed on your system.

I am not aware of a control you can put in PowerPoint, however, you can insert a web browser control and reference a page in SPO (or maybe even directly the path to the workbook, didn't try that).

Crystal Report Export & Printing Error in Windows 7 (SAP B18.81 PL09)

Dear Experts,
I have installed B1 Client on windows 7 pro every thing working fine but when exporting or printing crystal report B1 goes on not responding. These crystal reports are part of Add on.
In Standard B1, exporting of Crystal Report is done successfully but when printing this report B1 crash. Facing this issue on all machines including server.
Have any one idea regarding this issue.

When I export desktop intelligence report and try to print that report it prints excel column and row numbers. Is there way where we can disable printing column and row numbers before exporting to excel. Problem occurs only when we export to excel from deski. Just printing from excel we can disable printing excel column and row numbers.Please any one answer my query

Not sure if this can be changed within DeskI options, but it can be changed within Excel. Go to File, Page Setup. In the Sheet Tab, there is "Row and Column Headings" check box in the Print section... deselecting this will stop these being printed.... I'm using Excel 2003...

Cannot export or print reader

Cannot export or print reader 10.1.4 files with safari 6.0 on iMac with osx 10.7.4. Able to save, copy, print, only using mac Preview.

I am not sure you are right; or maybe I did not express myself correctly.
The issue is this:
I go to a web page that has desired information displayed in PDF file format (.pdf appended).
Example:
http://www.totousa.com/Portals/0/ProductDownloads/PD-00242_CST744S_CST744SG.pdf
When I try to save it to my desktop (save as), this window comes up:
"Export As:PD-00242_CST744S_CST744SG.pdf".
Then a pdf file image appears on my desktop with that title. When I click to open, it automatically opens in "Preview". I can print it as such.
However, if I first "Get Info" for the such desktop file and choose: "Open with: Adobe Reader", I am able to open the file, and try to print.
At the printer dialogue I click "Print". Nothing happens. The printer job window opens and displays "Error" status with Printer Ready. Moreover, if I try to copy some text from the file and insert it into a word doc, it doesn't work.
There is nothing wrong with my printer. As I said I can print the same file if I open it with "Preview". Also, I can copy and paste with no trouble from the file open in "Preview".
But, thanks anyway for your attention.
