Cannot Export to iTunes or Facebook

I'm trying to export a project from GarageBand on my iPad to iTunes and Facebook. After supposedly uploading it to iTunes, I can't find it. It's not even in the Music folder. As for Facebook, the progress bar gets to a certain point and then freezes up. What should I do?

Run a memory test.
You can also try using Finder to duplicate the file and open THAT.
Also, how much free space do you have on your hard drive (percentage wise)?

  • Cannot export photos from Elements so they will sync on ITunes to IPad

After I have edited my photos in Photoshop Elements the export button is grayed out so I cannot export my photos like I used to in Lightroom. I can save them but when I try to sync the photos using ITunes to my IPad. the photos are not imported. I just recently installed Adobe Revel on my IPad but not on my computer. What am I doing wrong?

The cloud icon typically indicates something that can be downloaded. I have no clue about this particular subject because I don't use it, but I will ask anyway ... are you using iTunes Match?
Did you try tapping on the cloud icons?

  • Can't export to iTunes anymore

Been using GB for about six months. Yesterday after finishing a song in GB, I told it to export to iTunes, and it tried...it finished up until the part where iTunes automatically opens and the file appears in iTunes. Instead of that happening, iTunes opened, and I saw in the iTunes status window: "Copying 1 of 1: Bounced" then that failed, then the OSX message "Error: Cannot read or write to disk." I checked the permissions for the HD, and "Read and Write" is NOT highlighted as an option. However, I can save documents anywhere but GB. So I reinstalled all my OSX software, including iTunes. Now iTunes won't open at all--it tries, and then I get a message that it unexpectedly quit. I thought it might be a Library issue, so I tried dragging the library onto the desktop, even the old libraries. Nothing changed. I reinstalled iTunes, but still the same thing. I don't think it's a GB problem, but I really can't tell at this point. I posted a similar question in iTunes, so hopefully someone from one of the forums can help...Please?

    Deauthorization:
If you have ever purchased songs from the iTunes Music Store, Apple has placed digital rights management copy protection software on your main hard drive (where Mac OS X lives) that identifies you as the legal purchaser of those recordings.
If you back up your whole hard drive, reformat it and re-install everything, or if you put in a new hard drive and set it up to be your Mac OS X main drive, you lose the right to access any of the iTunes Music Store songs that you have purchased, because you have inadvertently deleted Apple's digital rights management copy protection keys that authorize you as the owner of those recordings you purchased.
So if you need to do this to your main hard drive, first you must go into iTunes and do a de-authorization. When you set up your new hard drive, you have to re-authorize.
    Apple sez:
[blockquote]To deauthorize a computer to play songs or spoken word content purchased from the iTunes Music Store, choose Advanced > Deauthorize Account. Then choose "Deauthorize Computer for Music Store Account" and enter your Apple or AOL ID and password.[/blockquote]
Similar steps have to be taken with many other music programs that utilize copy protection in software, such as Sibelius, SampleTank, Cubase, etc.
It's confusing because all that Apple and other companies tell you that you must de-authorize and then re-authorize if you move all your files to a new computer. While that's true, it's misleading, because the authorization issue also applies if you move to a new hard drive inside your existing computer.

  • 1st Gen iPod Touch cannot login to iTunes or App Store

My relative's 1st Gen iPod Touch (fully updated) cannot login to iTunes or App Store. Specifically, when the prompt on the iPod touch for their Apple ID, they can type in their ID and password fine, but tapping on "cancel" or "OK" does nothing. The iPod touch is effectively frozen, the only option being to hit the Home button to get out.
This happens when trying to purchase an item in iTunes, the App Store, and when accessing the Apple ID account through Settings.app on the iPod touch.
An Apple Store genius recommended restoring, but this did not help. Other internet features (safari, mail, facebook, etc.) work fine. They are still able to download apps through iTunes and then sync them over. Any suggestions?
    Thanks,
    EconBass

    Thanks lllaass,
We just tried to do a fresh restore to factory settings. Unfortunately, the exactly same problem persists.
A little more information, after the username and password are entered, OK can be pressed, but the prompt doesn't go away, and there is a persistent "loading..." sign in the background. This is where the iPod hangs. Here's a picture of what it looks like.
    Thanks,

  • Export to iTunes where is save as AIF?

I don't get this I am trying to record a simple voice over. I have a Motu unit and a mic and I finally got the track to record in Garage Band and now I go to try to export the audio file so I can use it with my video editing program and the only option is Export to iTunes?? Am I missing something?
Where are the original recorded audio files located? Can you control what format they are recorded in? Can I just grab those?
I don't use iTunes how do I get a good quality AIF file out of this??
    Thanks in advance,
    Greg

Exactly (..why they don't bundle projects, events, etc in one package that you're free to move around..).
I have my projects on a disk known as "/Volumes/LaCie Disk". I cannot move it -- I tried. There is no option in the File menu or Preferences. When you import a movie you can specify where the Event files go -- that's it -- FOREVER.
You can actually drag the event directories around, just not the .rcproject files (the files that have my painstaken editing data).
Looking in the .rcproject directory there are several files - some binary - some ascii with compressed data in XML format. In both cases you see "/Volumes/LaCie Disk" hard-coded into the file. I tried editing the "/Volumes/LaCie Disk" entry, but, alas it didn't work. If I want to edit my .rcproject a year from now I will have to do it at a location called "/Volumes/LaCie Disk".
Apple, please, please add a Save As option to iMovie 08 -- soon!

  • Re: Partial Movie project exported to iTunes.

I partially downloaded a movie of a trip to Australia, edited it and exported it to iTunes, so that I could watch it on my Apple TV. I was so impressed with the end result, that I decided to upload the rest of the movie so that I could produce the whole trip. I successfully uploaded the remainder of the movie, but now find that I cannot access the screenshots of the part that I have exported to iTunes. My concern is, that when I export the rest of the movie, will it attach itself to that which has already been exported, or will it overwrite. I know that I should have edited it, in its entirety before exporting to iTunes, but I'm now left with a potential problem. Can anyone allay my fears? What should I do to make sure that I finish up with the full iMovie project.

Its Imovie 09, and I didnt save it because it doesnt even have the option, so I assumed it was saving it automatically.   And I didnt have any problem until The program got closed... Thanks!

  • Cannot connect to iTunes and  YouTube

I'm using iPad4, suddenly I cannot go to App Store and YouTube! I can't even use FaceTime, Facebook! The App Store shows 'cannot connect to iTunes' , YouTube shows 'load error', FaceTime and Facebook all shows account password wrong, but I'm sure right!  What should I do!

I think you need to sort out your router or internet connection. Have you gone into your settings and checked that the wifi connection is up. or where it says 'iPad' in the top left hand corner, does it have the wifi symbol with how much signal. If all this fails ring apple, go into a apple store, or ring your broadband provider

  • IPhoto project export to iTunes disabled in Mountain Lion??

I am a bit frustrated. It seems that after upgrading to Mountain Lion I cannot export my iPhoto project to iTunes anymore. This is a pity because it is a nice way of bringing my projects with me (iPhone / iPad). Any suggestions?

    Thanks for asking!
iPhoto had an option to export a project to iTunes. I used this option a couple of times. Today I completed a new project. And then I thought it would be nice to export it to iTunes ..... I have searched al options, but this one seems to be gone! Even a workaround via PDF is not working.
This is the first time ever that I feel a bit frustrated on my mac...

  • Export to iTunes, unable to find file

    Gentlefolk;
Please forgive the very newbie question. I have the Checkbook app, which is great, but I want to have the app do some simple summing of monthly expenses. This is apparently does not do, but it does export out to CSV format. Given that, I can pop into Excel and go nuts.
After the export, the prompt says to recover the file in iTunes. But it doesn't say how. This apparently is so self-evident that no further direction is needed.
The support at iBear said with the iPad connected to the computer, go to the Apps tab and scroll to the Common files and get the export from there. But I have no "Common" files in the App store, nor does anything like that appear in the iPad that I can tell. I could grouse about lack of file access, but moving on....
So, I tried to export a Numbers app to iTunes thinking I could find THAT. But I cannot.
So, when something is exported to iTunes, just where the deuce is it to be found?
    Many thanks.
    Don

Try opening the stereo file in Quicktime Movieplayer and check the info:
    1. Control click on the file.
    2. From the contextual menu that pops up choose "open with" and select QuicktimePlayer.
    3. When the file opens press ⌘ + i to get info on the file.
    4. Is the original file 16 bit 44.1 khz? Or if it is an mp3, is it stereo, 44.1 khz?It needs to be for GB to read it correctly.

  • IMovie for IOS Cannot export 60p despite iPhone 6 capability to shoot 60p

    Hi,
iMovie for IOS Cannot export 60p despite iPhone 6 capability to shoot 60p
I am obliged to use Pinnacle Studio for IOS 8
I have bought a superb iPhone 6 Plus, shooting in 1080/60p, I cannot edit my clips to build a 60p Master.
I understand the choice for shared video streams to use 720/30p 5Kb/s from my 1080/60p 25Kbps clips as it has to be streamed even on small PC.
But if I want a master file 1080/60p at 25Kbps, and send it by mail with the superb new Cloud Mail to my mac mates, I cannot do it
I need a master hacker to poke this 60 number I nee somewhere into iMovie, it should be somewhere in the compressor frameworks used by iMovie in the app Package for exporting.
SAME PROBLEM WITH I MOVIE 10.0.6 FOR OSX YOSEMITE,
    Best regards to the community

I appreciate you taking the time to copy and paste boilerplate responses to increase your points in this forum, but I've already read all those support articles in depth; but you have barely read my post at all. Please don't guess a fix. Only someone with the latest versions of iMovie, iOS, iPhone, Yosemite, and MacBook Pro is qualified to troubleshoot this, because anyone would immediately see that the following option no longer exists:
Open iMovie on your Mac, and choose File > Import > iMovie for iOS Project.
Read my post before you reply: It clearly says in the title and within my post that I can neither export nor import through iTunes without receiving an error message. So your response neither solved my question nor helped me whatsoever.

yeah, in itunes if you select your phone, you should get tabs across the top for what to sync, under photos uncheck the box
EDIT: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4236 is the link to a apple support document with information on syncing photos using itunes.

  • Cannot export camera pictures from IPAD to PC

Hi, I'm new IPAD user. I got IPAD2 last week but have many questions about syncing.
I can import/export songs, movies and pictures to my IPAD but I cannot export pictures from camera to my PC.
I'm not sure I do something wrong about syncing or need to install some program to export?
    Thank you very much

There is help in transferring photos taken with the iPad, copied onto it via the camera connection kit, or saved from emails/websites etc here : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083 ; but basically it's not done via iTunes and your PC should see the iPad as a camera if it's got that type of photo on it (with Mac's iPhoto is used).
If you want to transfer photos off that were originally synced from your computer then you can use apps such as Simple Transfer (which also has a free 'lite' version Simple Photo & Video Transfer).
