Cannot find a way to fill in forms

i am trying to fill in scholarship applications off of a high school website. i have talked to the webmaster and she says they are prepared with adobe pro. i am using Windows Vista, i have also tried on machines using XP. i have Adobe Reader 8.1.0 and also have Adobe 7.0 standard. should i be able to fill in the blanks on a document using one of these application? here is a sample of where i am trying to work from http://www.adrian.k12.mo.us/mfa%20foundation%20scholarship.pdf perhaps someone can tell me for sure if this is a fillable file or not. any help will be appreciated as i am running out of time!! also if this is NOT a fillable form please tell me what the school can do to make it so there are a lot of parents in the same predicament

There are no fillable fields in the form, so you can't do anything to fill it with Reader or with Acrobat Standard, except for printing it and filling it by hand. You could create the necessary fields with Acrobat Pro (not Standard). Obviously, the person who made the PDF forgot to create them, or didn't know they were needed...

If you purchased Lion for your iMac, just log into the Mac App Store from your MacBook using the Apple ID under which you purchased Lion and go to the Purchases page. You will be able to download and install Lion there.

The only place you get get Lion is from the Mac App Store. If you found some other site, that was an illegal copy and almost certainly tied to someone else's Apple ID and hence unusable by you. If the link was just to the Mac App Store, see above.
As to the problem with synchronization to iCloud, that's not a 10.6 question, so I'd suggest you take up that specific issue in either the Lion or iCloud forums, providing full details, and someone there can probably help you sort things out.

I am able to sort the websites within each folder alphabetically by name but I cannot find a way to sort the bookmark folders themselves alphabetically by name.I am not talking about in a view mode but in the way they are displayed when I click on my bookmarks tab. Bookmark folders that you created are in the Bookmarks Menu folder. "Sort" that folder.

I have done exactly what you said. When I check "update", a screen drops down that asks that I enter my email address to continue........but i cannot find any way to do this.

That's probably not a good idea to try to share apps since you will have to switch ID's each time you update apps and sync apps from iTunes.
And technically - according to Apple's terms - you cannot share apps using different ID's. You can actually lock yourself out of an ID for 90 days if you switch ID's and if you associate the iPad with another ID.

As Limnos says, you first need to update to OS X 10.6.8 before you can install iTunes 11 (please note the version numbers).
To update OS X close all running applications and make sure you have a current backup. Then pull down the Apple menu and select Software Update. This may show you several items that you can update. Choose OS X 10.6.8. This may take some time. After the process is complete you will be able to run Software Update again and it ought to offer you iTunes 11.

You are welcome. Just finished a chat session with an Apple support rep and confirmed the matte option no longer available. Seems lots has changed since I bought my 17” 19 months back:). They did say that there were after market screen films available from places like amazon
Have never used anything like that though. My wife has a 2008 MBP 15” with gloss and I can say it is a nice screen finish, you just have to be careful of lighting from behind you. All my iMacs were glossy and I did learn to compensate for the added brilliance the screen brought to the photos. The new soft proofing feature of LR5 seems to better estimate the level of brightness of the printed work, compared to past versions of the s/ware.
In any case, in my opinion you really can’t go wrong with the apple product. I bought my first iMac in mid 1999 and have never looked back. I donated that machine to a pre-school in 2008, it was running OSX version 2 or 3 I think. I did run Photoshop 7.0 on an IBM laptop for a time (windows XP). I think I had one of the very first versions of Adobe Camera Raw on that machine. I digress, sorry.
The chat representative did confirm that the 17” is out of production and I’m guessing Apple found the market for the big laptop just wasn’t there. They did mention that 17” MBP’s show up as “certified refurbished” units from time to time. Suggest you might explore that option with a local Apple store in the UK, assuming Apple has store front operations off this continent of course.

Adobe Bridge CS5 can do this, but NONE of the Adobe software is retina optimized, and is terrible to look at.

In Aperture you are limited to renaming files by the entries in the File Naming preset window.
At what point are you looking to rename, import or export? It might be possible to do what you are looking to do external to Aperture either via a script or other software.

I also called the Apple Store and their agents confirmed that it does apply to the refurbished models!

You don't import the project.
I'm going to assume that both the trial version and purchased version were 10.1.
Open FCPX and then Open Library>Other, Navigate to wherever you stored the library (ies) you worked on when you used the trial. Choose that library and your work should be in one or more events in it.

I'm having the same issue and would like to get some help. I set up a second Apple TV in our bedroom and wanted to be able to control it using my iPhone like I do with the Apple TV in the living room. The new Apple TV is active on the network and I've made sure the same Apple ID is used for both the Apple TV as well as the Remote App on my iPhone. I'm just wondering what I might be overlooking.
