Cannot find contact's profile

Hello, I need help with a issue. Im trying to find a friend's contact name to add them, but as searching it their profile does not show up nor does mine for them. Can someone explain to me how to fix this?

This is what I found under the General / Settings section. Not super helpful!

This setting appears if you install one or more profiles
So I guess my question is, did you already set up the profile somewhere?? I searched through the manual and didn't see anything super helpful, but since you know specifically what you're looking for, maybe you'll find something I missed.

Apple apps cannot find contacts (like in Mail.app)

Any Apple app that I open under an upgraded Mountain Lion, is nit seeing any addresses in Contacts.
For instance, when I start a new message in Mail, and try to insert an address of a known person, there is no result, and only a endless "loading" gif.
It doesn't work when when I want to find contacts in Facetime or share in Photobooth.
The only time it does work, is after I gave 3rd party apps permissions to use my Contacts.
Any idea how to sort this out?

I had the same issue and after looking into a few other threads for ideas, I have finally found a way to get my contacts back into Mail.
Follow these steps and it might help you:
close Mail
go to /Users/<insert_your_user_here>/Library/Containers/ with the 'go to folder' command from the 'Go' menu in the Finder
look for the com.apple.mail folder and just put it in the trash.
disclaimer: you will loose most of your mail's settings, including junk training, stationnaries, toolbars and more.
re-launch Mail.
Your addressbook panel should not be empty anymore.

Cannot find the Outlook profile in the Desktop Manager

Hi, I treid to sync my contact number in my BB with outlook 2007 but in the synchornization menu when I chose to sync my contact there is not out look profile in the box so I don't know if its the problem of my outlook2007 or I need to do some config with my desktop manager?
I have 2 profile in for my outlook but none of them appear in the drop box when i select to sync my address book.

I beleive it pulls the profile information from the Control Panel | Mail information. If you go into Control Panel and go into the Mail icon, hit the Show Profiles button. Does your Outlook profile show up fine here? If so check the bottom part of the box and make sure the correct default profile is chosen.
It may be worth trying a clean uninstall of the Desktop Manager. Afterwards just reinstall 4.7. The clean uninstall steps can be found here

Talent Management (EhP4) - cannot find structural authorization profiles

I have looked in 3 different SAP ECC6.0 EhP4 system for the Talent Management structural authorization profiles stated in the IMG documentation and on the help.sap.com website. The profiles are: 
TMS_PROFILE 
TMS_ALL 
TMS_MAN_PROF 
There are also several "sub" profiles for TMS_PROFILE. 
To take an example from help.sap.com on their Authorizations page (http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_04/helpdata/en/7b/6f92413c3a2e7be10000000a1550b0/content.htm ), the SAP_TMC_SUPER_TALENT_MANA_SPEC clearly indicates the TMS_ALL structural authorization profile is in the standard system:

The structural authorization profile TMS_ALL is also available as a template for the Talent Management Superuser.

So... does anybody know anything about these and where I can find them? Do they require some form of activation outside of the standard switch activations for Talent Management? I've looked in several tcodes (SU01,PCFG, OOSP etc) for them but no luck. 
Any help gratefully received and points will be awarded for helpful answers and solutions!

Could you do me a favor and look in client 000 (the SAP delivered client)? You generally need a basis person for this activity, and I can't find one now on my own end to confirm my theory. However I'm pretty sure if you went to OOSP in client 000, you'd see those profiles. They were either never copied over from 000 or your security friends deleted all the profiles that are SAP delivered in the clients you're looking at.
I could talk for a super boring amount of time about the security concept of "SAP delivers too much access with their roles so we don't use them" that a good number of security teams use - but that's a story for a different day.
Take a peek in 000 and let me know what you see. If they're there, you can always have your basis chums copy them over to your clients that you want them in (presumably your security config client).

Agfa ScanWise cannot find Colorsync System Profile

Another casualty in Snow Leopard. My Agfa Scanner uses Scanwise 2.1fc2 (the last from Agfa). It worked OK in Leopard.
Now when it starts I get" ScanWise can not find the current ColorSync System Profile. Please recalibrate your monitor or select another system profile with the ColorSync Control Panel".

Here's exactly what I did to get TWAIN SANE Interface to work:
--Go to TWAIN SANE Interface site: http://www.ellert.se/twain-sane/
--Download the (1) libusb, (2) SANE backends, (3) SANE preference pane, (4) TWAIN SANE interface binary packages for Snow Leopard
--Grab the FAQ on that page too (http://www.ellert.se/twain-sane/faq.html)
--Install the packages in the order above just by double-clicking them
--Open the FAQ file and read it!
--Launch the Terminal, and type the following to scan: scanimage --format tiff > test.tiff
--A tiff file of your document will be scanned and stored in your Home folder
According to the page, you should be able to get your scanner to work within Word, Graphic Converter, etc., but I haven't figured that out yet. For now, I'm just happy that I can scan again. Nice to know that something like the SANE project is out there...

LR4 softproof for CMYK: is there a way? Specifically, cannot find the CMYK profiles.

In LR4, how do you select CMYK as a softproofing option? The "Profile > other" option does not list any CMYK optoin like Photoshop does.

CMYK profiles are not supported in Lr and are not displayed.
Lr is a (proPhoto-derivative) RGB application "from the ground up", and I remember one Adobe employee saying that in all likelihood Lr will never support CMYK.
For CMYK softproofing you have to use Photoshop.

Cannot find HP profile on my Laptop to edit scanning

I cannot make any changes to my scan profiles, (change from Jpeg scan to pdf scan etc.) On other forums it states I must go to start, all programs and then click hp, but that is exactly the problem, I cannot find the HP profile Please help, I urgently need to change thisMany Thanks

Make sure that in Settings\General\Restrictions\Accounts that you have the tick in the option 'allow Changes' if Restrictions is active.
Unless your have our mail contacts set on your Mac to sync with another device under account options, (within your laptops mail program) then open iTunes, connect your device, go to its Info page by clicking on our device when t shows and changing from the summary tab to the info tab. Put a tick in 'Sync Contacts with' box, use the panel next to it to select which mail porgram to sync with, select any options available below this (will be greyed out if options are not available for a particular account).
When finished, scroll down the page to Advanced section and put a tick in Contacts box. Click 'Apply' and then 'Sync' to transfer settings.
Your mai programs will now stay in sync across Contacts. settings\General\iCloud Contacts should be on (as you said)
Note that if you use an exchange Mail Server email like Hotmail, then under Settings\Mail, Contacts, Calendars - tap on your Hotmail account under the Accounts setting at the top of the page and turn Contacts on to allow merge and syncing. Not all email accounts will have this option available - but Hotmail does.
Also not that some email accounts accessed through browsers will require you to go through their Settings and Options page to set up the sync of things like Calendars, Contacts and Notes - they are not alway by default given in the Accounts pages of Mail, Contacts, Calendars on your ipad.

Where can I find lens correction profiles for EF 17-35 f/2.8L lens using ACR 6.2?

Using Photoshop CS5 Extended on iMac 10.6.4.
I'm working with wedding photos shot by a friend but I cannot find lens correction profiles for Canon EOS 20D or the EF 17-35 f/2.8L lens. When I search online it simply says "No online profiles found". Is there a download for older lens profiles? I checked & I'm using ACR 6.2. I don't have the camera so there's no way to take test photos to create my own profile. But, shouldn't there be a profile available; the camera isn't that old?

Go to DXO Pro and download the 30 day trial. It works very well for lens/body correction, and unlike Adobe, DXO maintains data on the older cameras and lenses. Updates will always have those available. Adobe is a latecomer to this part of the correction process, so as Ian said, no call, no supplier? Out of luck.

It's fair to note that DXO does not necessarily have a complete line of everything, like my Tamron 28 to 75 isn't available as a module. They do pay attention to demands, or lack therof, that are not mainstream as well. But their offerings are excellent, and the tests, professional.

700P/Verizon: Cannot find some contact photo files?

I have a Treo 700P (on Verizon) that I'm trying to get all of my data off.
I noticed that some of my contact photos that were taken with the Treo camera while editing the contact are NOWHERE to be found either on the external memory card that I'm using (SD card) or on the internal memory.
Does anyone know where these type of image files are stored and if they can be accessed? I have quite a bit of contacts whom I took a picture of them while I was editing their contact profile that I cannot access (or don't know where to access) the image files.
I've looked up and down in the Pics & Videos app and cannot find these pictures. I finally figured out that the pictures that I cannot find are the ones that I had taken as mentioned above (while editing a contact and selecting the picture from "camera"; it's either "camera", "photos" or "remove" as options).
While in Palm Desktop, if I open a contact in question, same thing, the image is there within the contact but I cannot do anything (like copy it or anything else), other than select a different photo file or remove the current one.
I have the "FileZ" app, but I don't really know what I'm looking for (not sure if that app would allow me to find these files in question or not, just thought I'd throw that out there in case it would help).
PLEASE someone help me if you can!! I'd definitely appreciate it! I like quite a few of the pictures that the Treo took while I was making the contact file for family/friends, but I cannot get any access to them!
Obviously these files are stored somewhere and they must be on my PC as well (I'm running Vista), but, again, I cannot find it in the Pics/Video backup directory that Palm Desktop creates neither (it just has the same pics/videos that are seen on the Treo itself under the Pics/Video app).

I do realize that the image quality is no better than a small thumbnail; but, is there still a way to extract it from the database? I'm not using the pictures for anything other than to use them for profile pictures on another smartphone (so they do not need to be high-rez images, just exactly what they are on the Treo).
I do use a SD card for image storage, but didn't realize while editing a contact that if you select "camera" from method of adding a picture that the Treo would take the picture but not store it in any usable area. If there is no way to extract at all from the contact database, then I guess I'm just S.O.L. then, huh?
I do appreciate your response very much as I was thinking it might only be me having the problem! haha
If you have any idea how I could extract from the contact database, it would be awesome!

Lost notes and contact in iTouch cannot find on back-up, how to retrieve from Time Machine

Hi! I reset my iTouch coz it's having some problems after I update my OS. Now I restored everything except my notes and contact. Tried to check from back-up but I cannot find the old back-ups just the new one...can I retrieve it from my Time Machine?...Please help...Thanks!
