Cannot find edqp.properties file, can I just create it manually?

I would like to establish a connection between my EDQ and EDQP instances, both 11g versions. I understand OEDQ server must be configured first so the EDQP processor will appear in the EDQ Tool Palette section. EDQ Online Help says that the 'edqp.properties' file must be created in the [install path]/config/edqp directory. However I cannot find [install path]/config/edqp directory. Instead in My Oracle Support it says that 'In EDQ 11g, the edqp.properties file belongs in the "..oedq_local_home/edqp" folder. When I checked "..oedq_local_home", there is no 'edqp' there. Can I just create the 'edqp' folder inside the "..oedq_local_home" directory?  Then can I also just manually create the 'edqp.properties' file afterwards? When I am done creating them all manually, do I need to bounce my EDQ server to reflect these changes? Thanks in advance for any reply!

Yes, just create the folder and file in the local home.

    I did copy it to my desktop, but it still won't let me open it.  I think the file on the disc might be corrupt or something like that though the cd itself checks out fine as far as viruses go.  I was able to verify the disc, but that's about it.  My husband tried it on his iMac and we have the same issue.  It's unzipping the folder, but won't let us open the folder on both the Mac Book Pro or the iMac by double clicking, going to file/open or right clicking.  It just keeps saying the same message as I posted above.  I think I'm just going to have the client put the pictures on either a memory card or a USB memory stick so she won't have to compress the files for zipping purposes.  It's been too frustrating trying to open this folder on this cd she gave me.  She said she created/zipped the cd on her Mac Book Pro but it sure won't open on mine.

    i have just updated my iphone 4 to ios5. i cannot find my photos anywhere can you help? Thanks

    Hey Kate
    if you have backed up your iPhone, photos that were taken on the iPhone will be in the back up file. Any photos synced to your iPhone from a computer will need to be synced again. To restore your iPhone from a back up right click on the name of your iPhone in iTunes and select restore from back up.

  • Who can help? BC4J: Cannot find the configuration file bc4j.xcfg

JboException, msg=JBO-33001: Cannot find the configuration file pilot\common\bc4j.xcfg in the classpath "
    Kijk ik echter in de WEB_INF\classes directory dan bestaat er wel degelijk een pilot\common\bc4j.xcfg file in die directory.
    Het gebeurt bij instantieren van de applicatie-module van BC4J in het volgende code-snippet
    String applicationModule = "pilot.PilotModule"; // Full name of application module
    String configuration = "PilotModuleLocal"; // Name of configuration
    PilotModuleImpl am = (PilotModuleImpl)
    Configuration.createRootApplicationModule(applicationModule,configuration);
    Ik heb Business-components gedecompileerd om te kijken waar de fout optreedt:
    en dit gebeurt in de method loadFromClassPath(String s) in de configuration class
    nadat hij buildConfigurationFileNameFromClassPath de string " pilot\common\bc4j.xcfg "
    heeft opgebouwd. Hij kan de stream dus niet inlezen.
    public void loadFromClassPath(String s)

    String s1 = "/" + s;
    s1 = s1.replace(File.separatorChar, '/');
    InputStream inputstream = JBOClass.getResourceAsStream(s1);

    I'm having this same problem when I try to run my BC4J project. This has happened to me before but I forgot how it was resolved. Any ideas?

    Cannot find the configuration file /oracle/apps/prc/po/....applicationModule/common/bc4j.xcfg in the classpath.
    Hi!
    I'm trying to run the following code:

    I have checked and the config file does exist in the correct directory, and I can see it in my Application Module - Configurations. Any idea why this is happening? Am I supposed to configure something specifically for this or add it in my classpath? If so, how am I supposed to do it?
    Thanks

    Where is the code you posted? Running in a separate project, I assume? Does that project have a dependency on the project containing the app module specified?
    And just to check (although by default, JDev should do this for you)--the app module project has been compiled since adding the configuration, right? You need to check to make sure the config exists not only under Project/src, but under Project/classes.

    Oh, and BTW--I assume this is not a typical ADF application, right? In a standard ADF application, you would very rarely need to instantiate an application module in code like this; you could just let the data binding facility do it for you. The technique like the one you're using is most appropriate for purely programmatic, no-UI cases. (e.g., once I tried to implement an SMTP server backed by business components. That was an appropriate case for ditching databindings and doing the sort of thing you're doing, because it had no view layer (because it had no UI to render).

  • What causes JBO-33001: Cannot find the configuration file /common/bc4j.xcfg

    I know that the jbo exception message:
    JBO-33001: Cannot find the configuration file /common/bc4j.xcfg
    can be caused by several things including the file really not being there. But in my current case, I know it is there and can be found throgh the classpath, because I actually find it using Configuration.buildConfigurationFileNameFromClassPath and
    Configuration.getConfiguration just before calling Configuration.createRootApplicationModule. Is there any way to turn on a diagnostic to find out what is really wrong?
    I would also like to request an enhancement to give meaningful messages in the jbo exception.
    Roger

    This is on jdev 903 with patch running a local application attempting to connect to standalone OC4J 903. I think the error occurs before there is ever any attempt to make the connection to OC4J. Having one big catch-all exception for everything that can go wrong in creating the AM is pretty poor. I know in the past I have done manual editing of bc4j.xcfg and XML sentax errors cause exactly the same exception as not having the file at all. That is why I would at least like a list of all the causes behind the exception so I can go through and check them all.
    Thanks,
    Roger

  • New to JDeveloper - cannot find the configuration file

    Hello,
    I'm new to JDeveloper and have been following a couple of the tutorials on OTN. I have just been through one called Business Components Programmatic Client Tutorial which attempts to teach you how to create a batch client for some customer orders. I've got a workspace with two projects. One holds the business components and the other holds a Java application. Basically, when I try to run it, I get the following errors :
    oracle.jbo.JboException: JBO-33001: Cannot find the configuration file /OnlineOrder/common/bc4j.xcfg in the classpath
         at oracle.jbo.client.Configuration.loadFromClassPath(Configuration.java:237)

         at oracle.jbo.common.ampool.PoolMgr.findPool(PoolMgr.java:348)
         at oracle.jbo.client.Configuration.createRootApplicationModule(Configuration.java:951)
         at bcbatch.Batch.main(Batch.java:21)
    Exception in thread "main"
    Process exited with exit code 1.
    I know that the createRootApplicationModule procedure is trying to instanciate an an application module of the type specified and the configuration file exists at :
    E:\JDeveloper\jdev\mywork\bcbatch\OnlineOrder\src\OnlineOrder\common\bc4j.xcfg
    My classpath is set to :
    E:\<Oracle_home>\jdev\mywork\bcbatch\OnlineOrder\src
    so its hard to see why it can't find \OnlineOrder\common\bc4j.xcfg from there.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Regards,
    Joe

    Make sure your bc4j application project is compiled. To verify see that the .xcfg file exists in the classpath of the "client-project" / outpath of the Bc4j project.

    Wow, your system must have a long history of having picked up assorted bad stuff ...
    You have CleanMyMac2, which should definitely be removed.
    You have other stuff (MacCleanse, for example) that I don't have first-hand knowledge about but should very likely be removed.
    You are using Google Chrome which is a resource hog.
    Further, your Adobe Flash player is not current.
    If I had all these issues, I would do a clean install of Yosemite and only reintroduce the essential stuff.
    You can search for the .plist files by opening finder, holding down the Option key, and doing Go > Library from Finder's menu and then searching for the file(s).

    Are you installing from the official site? http://www.mozilla.com/firefox
    If you use Windows Explorer (My Computer) to check that path, is the Mozilla Firefox folder there? That is the normal installation location, but I think it's worth checking.
    If the folder isn't there or firefox.exe is not in it, I wonder whether some other software might be interfering. You might want to run some supplemental security scans. These two tools are highly regarded:

    Hi all,
    i have a ear application containing a web app and a bc4j module deployed on the embedded oc4j instance inside JDeveloper 10.1.2 (build 1929). Inside the model i have a topic durable subscriber that, when a message is sent, invoke, by reflection, a java class to perform the job. Inside the java class i need an Application Module so i write
    ApplicationModule am = Configuration.createRootApplicationModule(fullClassName, configuration);

    Suggestion?

    This program is an example of basically what ADFBC will be trying to do to open/parse the bc4j.xcfg file. Can you incorporate the same lines into your test program to see if it also behaves the same in your JMS-initiated Java class ?
    Of course, you'll need to substitute "sample/common/bc4j.xcfg" with your relevant path name.
    package sample;
    import java.io.IOException;
    import oracle.xml.parser.v2.DOMParser;
    import oracle.xml.parser.v2.XMLDocument;
    import oracle.xml.parser.v2.XMLParseException;
    import org.xml.sax.SAXException;
    public class Class1 {
      public static void main(String[] args) throws XMLParseException,
                                                      SAXException, IOException {
        DOMParser d = new DOMParser();
       d.parse(Thread.currentThread().getContextClassLoader().getResource("sample/common/bc4j.xcfg"));
        XMLDocument doc = d.getDocument();
        doc.print(System.out);
    }

    In the exported dump directory, we truly cannot find above TOC files.
    We did not have any ERROR during the export phase.
    According to my experience, this might be caused by the fact that this ABAP BW system has a JAVA add-on
    on a different server with a dfferent SID than the ABAP SID -- but the JAVA DB is in the same database as the ABAP but with a different schema. Therefore when we do export source system->central system->ABAP based, those TOC files could not be created. However I do not have the document created in my previous project, I cannot verify my impression.
    Are SAPDDIM and SAPDFACT standard SAP objects?
    Please help  input your opinions.
    Thanks!

    In the import_monitor.log, we see:
    TRACE: 2011-01-02 18:21:29 com.sap.inst.migmon.LoadTask run
    Loading of 'SAPZPVAL' import package is started.
    INFO: 2011-01-02 18:21:29 com.sap.inst.migmon.LoadTask processPackage
    Task file '/oracle/backup2/W7C/sapinst_instdir/SAPZPVAL.TSK' from package 'SAPZP
    VAL' contains no tasks with data type (D).
    4) We have multiple packages with the same ERROR. So far none of them is fixed by removing the D lines.
        Above are just examples.
    5) BTW, DbSl Trace: ORA-1403 when accessing table SAPUSER  is NOT a concern here because the logs
       of some successfully imported packages also have the same message.
    Could you please tell whether you had the same situation? ?
    Thanks!

  • Building PHP 5.2.5 and MySQL (Cannot find MySQL header files under /usr.)

    Hi,
    we are in big trouble here. On Mac OS X 10.4 it was no problem building PHP with additional modules. Unfortunately it´s not working this time.
    This is the error message i got when building php:
    checking for mSQL support... no
    checking for MSSQL support via FreeTDS... no
    checking for MySQL support... yes
    checking for specified location of the MySQL UNIX socket... /var/mysql/mysql.sock
    checking for MySQL UNIX socket location... /var/mysql/mysql.sock
    configure: error: Cannot find MySQL header files under /usr.
    Note that the MySQL client library is not bundled anymore!
    Looks like some libs are missing?!
    find / -iname 'libmysqlclient*'
    That doesn´t helper neither. No results.
    Any idera what´s wrong here?

    the php in 10.5 uses extensions, you do not need to rebuild php to get mssql to work..
    Take a look at http://downloads.topicdesk.com/docs/AddingGD2_to_PHP_on_OS_X_Server_10_5Leopard.pdf
    as you can see in that example GD is built separately, mssql is the same.. do a google search on mssql.so and you will find a bunch of info (most of it is for linux but you should be able to get the info to work)
