Cannot find ELCOMProxies.dll error when going to Enterprise Message Sources

Hi All,
I installed BAM 10.1.3 and everything seems to be working but when I access the Enterprise Message Sources I get following error:
Unable to create Message Receiver Admin COM object: Error=System.DllNotFoundException: Unable to load DLL (ELCOMProxies.dll). at Oracle.BAM.Middleware.Persistence.COMProxyGeneral.fnCreateObject(String strCLSIDObject, String strCLSIDInterface, IntPtr& ipInterface, String& rstrErrorCode) at Oracle.BAM.Middleware.Persistence.COMProxyGeneral.Create(String strCLSIDObject, String strCLSIDInterface)
Source: "Common" ID: "EL_MsgAdminCreate"
I researched and found a bug that stated this may happen after installation but solved after rebooting. In m y case I keep getting the same error and it prevents me to create new sources.
I am working in Win XP SP 2.
Any ideas?

Correcct this seems to be unsuccessful or incorrect installation (or deinstall and reinstall). You have to contact oracle support or local oracle rep for a clean resolution.

'Font contains bad/Widths' and 'Cannot find/create font' errors when saving pdf as Other Reduced Size PDF

I am exporting .indd files from within Indesign as pdf files, opening in Acrobat Pro XI. I have no trouble creating the initial pdf file, however, when I go to Save Other > Reduced Size PDF I get error messages. Depending on the file, I receive either the message, "The font (Myriad Pro) contains bad/Widths" replacing the text with dots or "Cannot find or create the font (Helvetica) Some characters may not print or display properly" replacing text with dots or boxes.
My confusion is that the file is exporting to pdf from Indesign without error, it is only when I try to Save Other> Reduce Size PDF that the error occurs.
Also, it is only occurring on five out of 120 pages. These same fonts are on other pages and I have no trouble at all with exporting or Reduce Size PDF.
More frustrating is that I have never had this problem occur in all my previous versions of Acrobat using the same process and typefaces.
I am reaching deadline on this and cannot find a solution other than to reload Acrobat 9 and ditch this upgrade.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I, too have experienced this issue. Upon export from INDD CS6, I see the error message "The font 'IXWIPX+SourceHanSansSC-Bold' contains bad \Widths."
The only items on the single-page InDesign document I'm trying to export are copies of a one-page PDF (which was extracted from a longer PDF, arranged into a cover format). I can provide all files as necessary. The longer document that the one page came from also experienced an error when I tried to print to Adobe PDF. While I still get a PDF of the cover on export, despite the "bad \widths" message, it won't print from certain machines. I get nothing (not even an empty shell file) from the attempt to print the larger document (where the cover elements came from) to PDF.
I can deal with these issues with a few unorthodox workarounds, but wanted to offer comments or volunteer to help test fixes if possible.
For the record, I'm really not enjoying Acrobat XI. It doesn't seem to have much by way of new features (at least not that I use), and some of those I used most in version X are gone or less functional. Common fonts like Times New Roman are often not found (even though they are definitely on my system); I have a much harder time editing text through the new interface, and I have a few other small gripes—some that I don't have time to get into, others that wouldn't really matter, except that they weren't a problem until I "upgraded." Just sayin'.

Cannot find admintemplate.dwt error when updating template

I have a site I am working on. Each page was created using a template that I created. Everything was working fine when I would update the template, every page would update. Now when I make a change to the template, DW asks if I would like to update the template files and I click Update. I typically change the dropdown box to "Entire Site" (not sure if that's what I'm supposed to do). Now when I select "Entire Site", I receive the following error:
Error accessing (path to file \admintemplate.dwt" file not found (error code 2).
I didn't create an "admintemplate.dwt" so what is this referring to and how do I fix it from trying to look for that file each time I update the template?

Finally, just so you'll know, the keywords meta tag is no longer used by any of the major search engines. If it helps you feel better, you can continue to use it, but the keyword contents will have no bearing on any page ranking or search exposure for your site.

Cannot start HP Pavilion laptop due to Winlogon.dll error cannot find SHLWAPI.dll

Hello,
We are getting a winlogon.dll error that it cannot find shlwapi.dll.
First off, we do not have recover CDs, we do not want to reboot with a complete recovery as we have data we need on this computer.
We cannot logon at all, it gives the error and then you have to say okay and it stays at a black screen. We have tried repairing from the start up menu, we have tried recovering a previous start up point, we can get to the f8 c prompt but the different commands offered from other website forum tech supports are not recognizable.
At this point, we are dead in the water. If there were some way to start the computer, get into our pictures, files, etc. to just download and save those then fine we can do a complete new installation.
Please help.

Hi Kelly,
You need to download and install ImgBurn first. Then download the Image ( ISO ) for Ubuntu. When done, use ImgBurn to write the Ubuntu ISO to a blank CD and then just follow the rest of the guide.

Error: "The system cannot find the file specified" when trying to print to PDF w/ Acrobat 9.5

I get an Error: "The system cannot find the file specified" when trying to print to PDF w/ Acrobat 9.5 using Windows 7. This just started happening after upgrading to MS 2013 suite and also installed Adobe Reader at that same time.
I had problems in the past when Reader was installed with Acrobat, so I uninstalled Reader, but the problem still seems to occur.
any help would be appreciated.

Error running basic Welcome App - cannot find java.dll

When running a basic welcome app, I get this error.
RegistryKey 'Software\Javasoft\Java Runtime Environment\CurrentVersion' has version '1.7', but'1.6' is required.
Error: could not find java.dll
Error: could not find java SE Runtime Environment
I had just changed my PATH variables so the javac could be found easily (it wasn't working before). After I changed the variables, I was able to get my app compiled, but when I went to run the java command, I get the above error. I have version 1.7.0 and my PATH variable has 1.7.0
Need more info? I wasn't able to find any more specific info on the forum, or anywhere else.

I had already uninstalled all previous versions and did a clean reinstall of 1.7 The only version I see in my Program Files folder is version 1.7. Is there another place it might be?

Fix "Windows cannot find" designated webpage error on launch; only with Epic, not firefox.

When Epic is launched from a desktop Icon calling for a particular web page, it throws up a "Windows cannot find" Specified site error box, but then goes ahead and loads the site. It only happens with Epic; never had this problem with the regular Firefox browser.
I make these Icons by dragging from the address bar once I reach the site. It is a quick way to return later.
Very frustrating, please help.

Firefox 21 and Firefox 22 running on Windows 7 have been reported to take a long time to "wake up" from sleep. I realize hibernation is different than sleep, but... this is the closest match for your description.
Some users have reported that this problem is resolved in Firefox 23 (currently in beta). Others have had inconsistent luck with minimizing Firefox before letting Windows sleep and other measures.

The fact that this just started recently suggests perhaps it is related to another program or update, but I don't think anyone has confirmed the exact interaction that causes the problem.

Current server details:
We have crystal reports version 9.1.0.0 installed in Windows Server 2003 R2 Standard Edition and being used this in our visual studio project which is in framework 1.1. The crystal reports in the project are working good.
Migrating to new server, here are the details:
Windows 2008 Server Standard Edition and .NET framework 4.0.
We just upgraded the asp.net project from framework 1.1 to 4.0 and moved the code to the new server. We didn't do any crystal report installation in the new server.
When we try to run the reports, we are getting following error.
Cannot find KeycodeV2.dll, or invalid keycode.

Search here, lots of info on what is supported. CR 9 is not supported in VS 2010, set your project back to 2.0 framework and install the C++ runtime files for VS 2005 Security pack. That may help you.
Only versions of CR are CR XI R2 SP 6 and CR 2008 SP 2 and above on Windows 2008 Server. And I believe CR 9 only supports IIS 6 so set your App Pool to Legacy Mode.

"system cannot find the file specified" when launching a java app

Hi,
we are receiving an error message saying "The system cannot find the file specified" when launching a java app on a server. Exactly the same configuration on another server does not give the same problem.
The dialog box with the error message only presents one button - OK - and after pressing the button the app continues to run normally. This however is a big problem for us as we are trying to convert the apps into system services using the wrapper (http://wrapper.tanukisoftware.org).
Note: the problem exibits itself with and without the use of the wrapper.
I am not very comfortable about reinstalling the JRE on a production server. Is there any way to see what file it is missing? Debug options or something similar?
The JRE in question is 1.4.2_06. Many thanks in advance for your answers.

if not setting Post-Processing option results in a cryptic error why doesn't Adobe do one of at least three things?
1. Don't let user click Export on Export dialog if nothing's selected for Post-Processing.
2. Default Post-Processing to Do Nothing
3. Give the user a hint as to what the problem is when the error occurs instead of issuing cryptic error message.
Allowing this error to persist for so long is ridiculous.

Several people have reported this and it’s difficult to pin down. But is the application working OK. If so, the error message is best ignored even though I know it can get annoying.

Registry key CurrentVersion incorrect and cannot find java.dll

I have been reading the posts in this forum related to similar errors but not quite sure that they address this situation. Here is what I am seeing:
I have j2sdk 1.4.2_05 on WindowsXP and the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\JavaSoft\Java Runtime Environment\CurrentVersion has the value 1.4.2_05. The j2sdk install copied the java.exe to C:\j2sdk1.4.2_05\bin, C:\j2sdk1.4.2_05\jre\bin and C:\Program Files\Java\j2re1.4.2_05\bin folders. It also copied the same file to the windows\system32 folder. So far so good.
In my windows PATH env. variable, the windows\system32 path comes first . So when on the DOS prompt, I type "java -version" or even "C:\windows\system32\java -version", I get the following error :

has value '1.4.2_05', but '1.4' is required.
Error: could not find java.dll
Error: could not find Java 2 Runtime Environment.
However, running
C:\j2sdk1.4.2_05\bin\java -version OR

"C:\Program Files\Java\j2re1.4.2_05\bin\java" -version
works and I get the version info for 1.4.2 j2sdk.
Now I know that prefixing j2sdk bin path to the PATH variable, so that it comes before windows\system32 will set it right. But I think I should not have to do that , if the j2sdk installation has already copied the latest java.exe to the windows\system32 folder. If it was just an issue of java.exe in windows\system32 being in sync with the JRE current version in registry, I think even just "java -version" should have worked. Since that is not working, maybe there is something beyond that. At this time, I do not know what that could be.
Any suggestions?

The java.exe file in system32 that's being executed isn't version 1.4.2_05. Either you have multiple copies of java installed, or the install got screwed up.
Check version and (maybe) just copy the correct file into system32?

If your Mac is stuck in that screen, press Alt, Command and Esc keys, and force quit the app you are using to install that update (probably, App Store). Then, restart your Mac and try to install the update again, but now without opening Safari before

"Cannot connect to server" error when setting up MAMP local server in Dreamweaver cc 2014

I am trying to set up my Wordpress 4.1 site with MAMP 3.0.7.3 in Dreamweaver cc 2014, but I am getting a "Cannot connect to server" error when trying to view the site live. Think I'm getting closer (Lol). I did as you suggested and changed the web url to http://localhost:8888/Documents/projects/whoknew/. As you suggested I moved the local site to the Documents folder under the sub-folder projects. It is connecting to the server, but now I am getting the requested url cannot be found on the server. Taken at face value, you're having trouble with an Apple Application Support program file there. (Apple Application Support is where single copies of program files used by multiple different Apple programs are kept.)
Let's try something relatively simple first. Restart the PC. Now head into your Uninstall a program control panel, select "Apple Application Support" and then click "Repair".
Does iTunes launch properly now?
If no joy after that, try the more rigorous uninstall/reinstall procedure from the following post:
