Cannot find exported song

I far prefer older versions of every piece of apple software. I just started using garage band 11 on MB pro mavericks and I can't simply "export to itunes" anymore. I have to "share" and pick a playlist? Whatever, but the newly created/exported/shared song does not show up in itunes. Where do I find it?

"I have to "share" and pick a playlist?"
Not necessarily.  When I share to iTunes, the songs are automatically deposited into a playlist titled GarageBand, located at the top of my other Playlists

There is a backup plan after doing the Restore.  Read this.

Zapya.apk is an android app and will not work on an iOS device.
How did you transfer your songs from your Android phone to your iPad?

  • ITunes says it cannot find my songs...

My itunes library is on an external HDD. I've gone to edit>preferences and made sure the itunes media library is set to this place. I had no issues last week but today i've turned itunes on, and it cannot find any of the songs even though they are in the same place.
Any song I click on it says "itunes cannot find the file would you like to locate it". Is there a way that you can get itunes to search and assign everything for you? Its confusing me...

When you first told iTunes where to look for your library (i.e. on an external drive as opposed to the default) that drive would have been assigned a drive letter by your computer. Now, is the external drive given the same letter as before? If not, that's why you have a problem.
This can happen if you have something else connected as well, a camera or USB printer for instance. If the "camera" was given the drive letter previously used by your external drive, the external drive would have to be given a different letter.
Actually, another thing, if the external drive is not connected to your computer _and ready for use_ when you start up iTunes, then iTunes will automatically revert to the C:drive.

  • I can't get the intial sync done.  It says it cannot find many songs and then stops.  Horrible first Apple experience!  Help please.

My first taste of this Apple is horrible!  I cannot do the inital sync successfully.  Its gets to the 4th stage of syncing where it is copying songs and tells me there are over 100 songs it cannot find.  Why not?  They show up in my Itunes media file so why can they not be found?  Then the syncing ends with a message "Attempting to copy to the disc "Doug's Ipod" failed.  An error occurred while reading from the device"
    This is very frustrating.
    Thank you for your help.

    Hi Bblairjones,
If you are having issues with your Nano and Shuffle, you may want to try the Troubleshooting Assistants on the following page:

  • Cannot find the songs i just bought

I bought three songs from itunes but cannot find them on my computer to play them. i use windows 7 as a operating system

That wretched autorization loop strikes again! Here are some things to try
    1) All three steps from this article
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=306424
Get rid of the whole SC Info folder, not just the file.
Don't forget to restart your PC as the article suggests. If you have more than one iTS account, don't forget sign out of the itunes store and back with the other accounts, as well.
    2) If you are in a country that offers it, get a free single of the week and play a few seconds of it. Sometimes that will kick up an agreement to new terms of service and fix the DRM stuff.

  • ITunes on new computer cannot find my songs

I recently purchased a new Vista laptop and now want to enjoy my music via iTunes on it. I had previously made a backup of my whole itunes folder on an exHD. On my old computer, the music in my library is found here and there, it is not all found in the iTunes music folder, since it came from various sources.
After installing iTunes on my new laptop, I replaced the whole iTunes folder by the one I had backed-up and when launching iTunes, it only finds the songs that are in the iTunes music folder. My playlists are all there with the song counts and album covers, etc. but the songs that arent in the iTunes folder have all an exclamation point besides the title. I've tried consolidating my library but it did not work, it copied some of the music but most of it still have the ! mark.
What can be done so that it can find my music by itself...? Or am I doomed to replace the unfound songs one by one?
    thanks!

  • Having problems using ion tape express with itunes cannot find the song on hard drive

Having problems using ION tape express with itunes.  The song is on hard drive as temp1 not the name of the song.  And I have problems playing it in itunes
because it says it cannot locate the song'

Then correct the name of the song or point iTunes to the new file.
Issues with restoring should be directed to the manufacturer of the backup software/device... this is not an Apple or iTunes issue.

  • I did some file maintenance and now my itunes icon on my computer cannot find the songs.  I have to show were all the data for the individul songs are located in the computer.  How do I remap the location of the actual songs, so the computer list can find

did file maint on computer, not ipod list in computer not linked with actual place of songs in computer.  What can I do to remap the itunes list in the computer to find actual songs.

You didn't move the library or rename the folder or drive it was in?  Are your songs IN the library or are did the library point to them elsewhere on your drive? Obviously something happened, any idea what?

  • Cannot Find Downloaded Song

Ok, i have a laptop, and i downloaded (Evolution-Korn) to my laptop. Well, my laptop got screwed up, and all the drivers were messed up, so i couldnt use the keyboard or mouse to log in. well, i had to reinstall a new OS, and everything got deleted. Now i have a another PC, that is listed under the Machines that i can authorize.
Since my laptop went down, is there a way that i can find that song and re-download it to my other PC????
(i already tried [Check for Purchases], it didnt work)

okay, I was able to load into itunes, but instead of showing the name of the tune, it just says download. Everytime i try to open it, it just says this computer is not authorized to open download.4ma, then I authorize it but still nothing happens.

  • Itunes 7.1 cannot find my songs

When I first downloaded itunes 7.1 songs would not play because itunes could not find them. I tried to import my library to itunes and even after trying to restore the songs by following the instructions for recreating my itunes library itunes said not all songs where imported because they could not be found. What the heck is going on I am at my wits end and super frustrated because I am sure there is an easy solution.

  • I cannot find purchased songs on my iPhone

I purchased an EP (3 songs) from iTunes Store with my iPhone 5. I started the download from the iPhone but then I stopped it, and I started the download with iTunes on my PC.
I opened Music on my iPhone, I could find the 3 files but I could not reproduce them. It said "Unable to load the file" (in italian: "Impossibile caricare la canzone").
I connected the iPhone with my PC and I looked for those 3 songs with the iTunes browser: I could not find them! According to iTunes the songs are NOT on my iPhone. But according to Music, they ARE.
I uploaded the downloaded-from-iTunes songs on the iPhone. Now, with iTunes, it seems that there are the 3 songs. But if I open Music, there are 6 songs! Each song is double! One is reproducible, the other not!
    Please help me!
I want to delete the unreproducible files from my iPhone!
    Thank you!
    Paolo

Unfortunately, "swipe and tape delete" doesn't work for those 3 songs (it works properly for other 400 songs I have on my iPhone)! And it doesn't work even if I restart my iPhone!
[Wait, with "restart" you mean "turn off then on" or "reset"?]

  • Updated to 7.6.1.9 and now MOST songs cannot find their path!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm about ready to scream. I updated iTunes to the 7.6.1.9 version and now when I tried to synch my iPod it gave me a message that stated it cannot find some songs.
When I look at my iTunes it has and exclamation point next to the MAJORITY of my 5,000 songs! I'm not going to sit and find the song path for these. What the heck happened???????????????
Also, I downloaded two new games before I tried to synch my iPod and it also says it cannot find the games. When I go into the games it shows the correct path!? How come it cannot find it, or how do I force it to find that path?

Ok, I checked several forums and websites. After freaking out thinking I would have to import all of my songs again from cd's I haven't seen in years - I found my songs in my iTunes folder on my hard drive. I highlighted the folder with the songs I needed and dragged it into my open iTunes library. The songs copied over and play now. The bad news is, it made duplicates of the songs. So I have to delete all of the corrupted files with the exclamation points next to them. (to make it a little easier, I went to VIEW > show duplicates. By holding CTRL and selecting each of the corrupted files, you can right-click and delete several at once. Good luck.

  • Ipod Touch - Garageband - export song to Itunes - Windows 7

    Hello !
    I have a problem:
How can I export a song in Ipod Touch to Itunes (my Windows 7 PC) ?
If I share it with Itunes, I cannot find the song on my Windows PC in Itunes.
Who can I help me ?
I just want to save my songs to my PC.
    Thank you in advance !
    tracky

You can try going to Settings>General>Reset>Erase all content and setting and then try setting up via iTunes. If still problem then set up via wifi and go to an Apple Store
    For how to restore:
    iTunes: Restoring iOS software
    To restore from backup see:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.
You can redownload most iTunes purchases by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store

  • ITunes cannot find find on NAS and marks them with "!" - Only double-click helps

I have placed my iTunes library on my Synology NAS. After I (hopefully) got rif of my connection problems by switcvhing from afp to a nfs connection there is still another probem: iTunes does not "find" the songs on the NAS after have started it and marks them with the "!" sign on the left side of the name. If I double click on the song, that one is now properly found and play... This is somewhat "not useable", but it works when I am sitting in front of my Mac....
    BUT:
When I connect to my iTunes library from my AppleTv or my iPad  when I want to stream some music to the AppleTV, only those songs are available that I doubleclick some time before - when they are marked with that "!". This behavior of course is not "usable" at all.
    MY QUESTION:
Is there some way to force iTunes to scan the libray and find those songe marked with "!". I know that sometimes iTunes asks for finding some of the not located songs but even then not all of the "!" are gone. That only happens when I double click it manually or show iTunes the song in the "find" dialog that pops up if it really cannot find the songs.
    Thanks for any support!!

No one there with some idea how to trigger the re-scan of the library to remove those "!" symbols (and make iTunes working properly again) ???
