Cannot find Installed Component

Hi,
Can anyone tell me why I cannot find the component I
installed from Extension Manager. I checked the Windows menu as
stated from the Extension Manager after I installed and restarted
Adobe Flash but I find nothing.
From Extension Manager: I was told the component can be found
in Windows >> Components ... >> ... as below:
UI ACCESS:
After the installation of the component, you can find Web
menu component in the menu of the Components Panel in Flash.
(Select Windows > Components panel > FreeWebMenus.com
> Name of the menu).

Cannot find install.app

I had to have a new hard drive put into my Mac mini. I am trying to re-install by boxed set of Adobe Creative Suite master collection 5.5 but cannot find install.app on any of the three disks. Can anyone help? Thanks.

There's something else I have just remembered. The master suite collection was a student edition that I had the platform changed for, from Windows to Mac. This explains why the serial number on the box doesn't work. It had to be cancelled. So now the situation is that I need to track down the serial number it was replaced with. Thing is, I can't remember what Adobe did. I have relevant emails still, but only saying they have cancelled the old serial number (that's on the box) nothing about a replacement one.
Any thoughts?

Cannot find Java Component

Hi all,
I'm installing SolMan 7 and the installer asks for the Label: SAP:UT_SOLMAN40SR4:NW04SSR3
I dowloaded the SAP Solution M. 7.0 SR4 Java Comp. from:
Installations and Upgrades" SAP Technology Components" SAP SOLUTION MANAGER" SAP SOLUTION MANAGER 7.0
but it does not work, the label is wrong and I cannot find the correct label anywhere.

Hm... Interesting that you have to extract the rar files on windows when they are for linux...
I had the same problem some time ago, didn´t know you were on Linux so it was just a quick guess
You could also use "unrar e -ep ". This would also extract the directories, too bad this is not a default option.

Cannot find install disk

I just moved and cannot find my install disk. Got a "Volume needs to be repaired" message while doing some maintenance. Is there anyway to correct this without the install disk? If not, how do I get another one without coughing up the dough?

Other threads say *call Apple w your serial number*. There is a charge, much less than new system.

Cannot find installed software -- Installation fol...

hi all,
I'm using Nokia E5-00 for a while. Overall i'm very happy with the phone.
But few days back i accidentally delete the Applications\Installations folder (which is the folder where all the icons for new installed programs placed right after i installed them)
And now everytime i install a new program it said install succesfully but i cannot find it anywhere in the Menu icons.
Can you guys help to advise what i need to do in order to see the newly installed apps ?

Wow, I didn't know you could delete it. What happens if you try making a new "Applications" folder manually (Options -> New Folder)?

I Need to Reinstall iWork (specifically Pages) but cannot find Install Disc.

I had the most recent version of Pages, but bought it on disc before the App Store came around. Now I need to reinstall and I cannot find the original disc. The App Store does not recognize that I own it.
Do I have any options to reinstall or am I doomed to purchase it all over again through the App Store?

If you can't find the disk or restore Pages from backup, you'll need to buy it from the Mac App Store.

Software update cannot find installed App's in sub-folder

Hi All,
I have same kind of problem - I created folder called "iLife' 11" and moved there all App's which belong to this package. As soon as I did this Software Update cannot find anything. For example Apple released iPhoto' 11 (9.1.1) update and Software Update did not find it until I moved it back to "Applications".
BTW I have same problem with Adobe App's. Adobe update did not see Photoshop which has been moved to sub-folder.
My question is DO I have any chance to put App's to sub-folder and get them automatically updated by Software update? IF so, what should I do?

All sub-folders located in /Applications/ not in /Users/username/Applications. Actually /Users/username/Applications/ is empty on my mac.
What I trying to have is sub-folder (for example called Photo where I will have all applications for working with images (Photoshop, Nikon Scan, SilverFast and so on) in one locations or iLife' 11.
I took this idea from folder "Utilities" I can put App there and it worked and updated without any problems.
As far as I understand this problem (from Unix point of view) is a PATH problems. Software Update cannot find App in the folder which not listed in PATH.
If I create link (allies) for application in /Applications/ folder it will updated.

Cannot find installed CD drive

my integrate DVD drive cannot be seen by the pc. It does not show up as being there in windows explorer a D: drive or indeed any other drive. Why is this. i can not eject it either. I have even replace the old unit with an identical new unit thinking that it may have been broken but even the new unit is invisible to the system. any ideas please?

Can you boot the computer from the drive? using a bootable cd (like a Windows installation disk) tap f9 as you power on to get into the boot options menu and see if the cd drive is listed. If so, select it and see if the computer boots up. If it boots from the drive, there is nothing wrong with the drive and you have a software issue. You can try the registry edit to remove upper and lower filters.

The above web page talks about upgrading to Vista and I know you did not do that, but the fix that is described works also with Windows 7 and fixes most "AWOL CD drive" issues that are based on registry errors. I suggest following the manual steps instead of the automatic fix.
If it is software I would not expect changing the drive to help, but I am concerned that the drive does not eject. That would tend to point to a hardware issue. Please post back with your results one way or another.

Cannot Find Installed Extension

Hello,
I have created a custom panel for CS6 and another for CC, then created a zxp file and certificate for each (based on the version of Photoshop). I have installed both using each programs version of Extension Manager and according to extension manager they were both installed successfully.
The problem is the panel does not appear in Photoshop when it's opened. Does anyone have any idea why it isn't appearing. All the correct boxes are ticked in the preferences as well, I have no idea what it going on.
Does anyone have an idea why they aren't appearing in Photoshop?

I am having the same issue with both versions, CS6 and CC 2014.
With CS6 I can drop the panel into the Adobe under my program files and it appears in the extensions menu, but when I attempt to do it using a ZXP File, it installs fine with Extension Manager but no longer appears in CS6. I wouldn't worry about CS6 too much, but I want to distribute the panel, and this will be much simpler with a zxp file.
With CC I did hear that they have gone to HTML based, but not sure what I need to do there. The panel is created in Configurator 4 and set up for cc, then the files are then re-boxed in Extension Builder. They also install with Extension Manager CC without a problem, but do not appear in Photoshop CC 2014 once installed.
I'm at a complete loss.

Cannot find installed application on computer anywhere

Very frustrated here.
I installed the trial Adobe Premier.
- the download assistant installed and ran successfully
- the Premier installer ran. The target location was \Program Files\Adobe. It said the installtion was successful.
But, there is no way to launch the program from the start menu. No icons anywhere.
The directory it said was the target was never created, so there's nothing there. It isn't hidden.
I searched the entire hard drive for "Premiere" and
Curiously, Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 is listed as an installed program in the control panel.
I am running Windows XP SP3.

I am sorry Blair Palmquist but we do not offer older versions for purchase. You can review the system requirements for Premiere Elements at http://www.adobe.com/products/premiere-elements/tech-specs.html. Premiere Elements is supported under Windows XP assuming you fulfill the other requirements.
You may also want to consider upgrading your operating system and computer depending on the type of video production you are trying to accomplish.

Premier Element 9 cannot find quicktime components

I have this problem that has really been bugging me. I purchased Premier Element 9 so I could edit hd .mov files and export to .mov.
I have installed the software and have made successful movie edits and exported to .avi files. However, if I want to export to .mov I do not ahve the option. It just says: "cannot find quicktime componants" :-( I have the latest quicktime installed and I even have the pro version and quicktime works jsut fine and it's definitely the latest version. Just did an update this morning.
How can I get premier elements fir find the quicktime componants that are already isntalled in my computer?
My computer OS is Windows XP.
I can edit my .mov movies just fine but at present I am stuck with exporting to avi such as I have on this page here:

I'm happy with these but really would like to use the .mov export and maintain my HD quality.

Sorry for being wordy on this but will try to explain my progress or lack thereof.
First, if you launch the premiere elements 9 downloaded.exe file you do not get an option to repair, only "The InstallShield Wizard will allow you to remove adobe Premiere Elements 9."
I went through MANY different scenarios/possible fixes last night, spent a LOT of time on this; too much really.
One thing I noticed was a file association issue with .mov files. So thinking that the .mov file association might be a conflict with the premiere elements .mov export I did the followoing:
I had the .mov files associated with the VLC player (VideoLAN), because that player is 10 X faster and plays everything! Great player! I tried to re-associate .mov file with quuicktime but the icon would not change, however file association was successful, i.e., you double click on a .mov file and quicktime plays the movie. So to make sure I had the quicktime icon associated correctly, I to un-installed the VLC Media Player.
After uninstalling the VLC Player, the windows media player icon showed up in explorer associated with .mov files even though the .mov files are associated with quicktime. Then, even though when you look at the files in explorer and see the windows media player icon for the .mov files, if you double click the .mov file quicktime plays the movie. I did complete reboots after uninstalls as well.
So then I did a repair on Quicktime and the quicken icon association was corrected. I was excited thinking this would do the trick but no such luck. Still no .mov export option. Grrr….
So then I uninstalled and reinstalled quicktime just to see if I needed to install quicktime after the install of premiere elements. But after re-install of quicktime, premiere elements still did not have the .mov export.
Then I started noticing in the upper right of welcome window or premiere that I could see the files that were loading during the launching of premier. Now I know the culprit!
Seems to hang up on ....loading "exportquicktimehost.prm" - then get the error message: “dynamiclinkmanager has encountered a problem and needs to close.", then I click on don't send and I get the error one more time then click on "don't send" again and then premier opens and everything works fine but it just can't export to .mov WHICH IS THE MOST IMPORTANT PART AND WHY I BOUGHT THE SOFTWARE. UGH! I was getting the “dynamiclinkmanager has encountered a problem and needs to close." Before but I thought that was connected to the organizer and was ignoring it and was not making a connection of that with the .mov export.
You know what’s funny? I researched “dynamiclinkmanager” trying to find out what it is and there are many sites that say it’s a virus and tell you how to remove it but it’s a file create by adobe systems but many see it as a virus. Funny!
So I uninstalled premiere completely and reinstalled, still same problem.
PREMIERE ELEMENTS 9 HANGS UP WHEN TRYING TO LOAD EXPORTQUICKTIMEHOST.PRM.
This is definitely the problem, the program runs smoothly during launch and you can see all the files loading away then it gets to this annoying "exportquicktimehost.prm" file and you can see it hang up on this for a while and then you get the pop up error: "dynamiclinkmanager has encountered a problem and needs to close". Then if you cancle out the error the program runs and all works fine except for the .mov export.
So I did a bunch of searching on this error; seems to be a firewall issue in many cases. Many different adobe products seem to have this problem, not just premiere elements.
My firewall was already turned off. I checked around just to make sure other third party blockers were not the problem. I have Netnanny and webroot spyweeper/antivirus running at all time. I turned these off completely and launched premier elements again but still same problem.
I am at a lost and frustrated. I find myself seriously going through this list of alternative mov video editors

Cannot find edqp.properties file, can I just create it manually?

I would like to establish a connection between my EDQ and EDQP instances, both 11g versions. I understand OEDQ server must be configured first so the EDQP processor will appear in the EDQ Tool Palette section. EDQ Online Help says that the 'edqp.properties' file must be created in the [install path]/config/edqp directory. However I cannot find [install path]/config/edqp directory. Instead in My Oracle Support it says that 'In EDQ 11g, the edqp.properties file belongs in the "..oedq_local_home/edqp" folder. When I checked "..oedq_local_home", there is no 'edqp' there. Can I just create the 'edqp' folder inside the "..oedq_local_home" directory? Then can I also just manually create the 'edqp.properties' file afterwards? When I am done creating them all manually, do I need to bounce my EDQ server to reflect these changes? Thanks in advance for any reply!

RSAT won't install on Windows 8.1 Pro - "The system cannot find the file specified."

Please help. RSAT won't install on Windows 8.1 Pro. Every time I try, I get the same error - "The system cannot find the file specified.". I really don't want to have to refresh the PC to get it working! I've installed the update successfully on
a fresh win 8.1 enterprise install on a Hyper-V VM.
I am in uk, so have installed the en-US language pack first. I did have a windows component store corruption but I've managed to fix that.

As Roger Lu reported, the log indicates that there is corruption in the update files that you downloaded. The log actually reports “file not found”, so you may also want to check permissions on the extracted files in C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download\76ecaa86ec6712300c2d71cbcdad378c\.
You can also re-try downloading the files to see if your original download was just corrupt.

I checked the permissions for the folder mentioned above and TrustedInstaller only had List Folder Contents and Special Permissions. So I granted granted Read & Execute to TrustedInstaller and tried installing again...
1) double clicked the installer.
2) once it said Initialisation was complete, I checked the permissions again and it had re-set them to as before, so I granted Read & Execute to TrustedInstaller again
3) Installation was successful.
Not really sure why this happened as it doesn't make sense but it's working now :-)

I understand that you can not update iTunes due to a .msi error. I would recommend uninstalling iTunes and all of it's components as outlined in the first article below. For any component that gives you the .msi error, go through the steps in the second article below.

I have installed Adobe packages and cannot find the Acrobat extension folder please advise how can I get these applications to load onto my computer?

I have installed Adobe Creative Cloud for teams CC Packages which says that Acrobat XI Pro is installed. Your support page says it does not install Acrobat and I have to look in the Extensions folder for an MSI file. I have run a number of searches and cannot find the Acrobat extension folder please advise how can I get these applications to load onto my computer?
Also I now administer the teams and have accepted the invitation to I received to be a team member and download the apps. The admin page shows that I have been sent an invitation but does not show my account as "ACtive" unlike my other team members. I tried to use the link in the invite to accept it become active but the link displayed an error saying I had already accepted the invite... why is no account not active?
Finally what other product downloads in Creative Cloud do not actually download as part of the Creative cloud Packager for downloading the apps? e.g. acrobat and what else?

Are you able to copy the contents of the DVD to your computer? Are you receiving any particular error messages when you are trying to install? Finally which operating system are you using?
