  • Roxio Media Manager - Edit with Quick Sound Editor

    A gentleman at work purchased a pearl 8130 last week after he lost his other phone. After loading BlackBerry Desktop Manager, CD that came with the phone, then going to Media Manager. He noticed that Quick Sound Editor was grayed out if he right click on a music file. When purchased mine it came with QSE. Why doesn't he have it? Could it be the provider he has? I have Alltel and I think he has Verizon.

    any suggestions please??????

    Unfortunately, this sort of trouble has gotten more complicated to deal with ever since Microsoft pulled the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from their Download Center on June 25. First we have to find a copy of the utility.
    Let's try Googling. (Best not to use Bing, I think.) Look for a working download site for at least version 3.0 of the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. After downloading the utility installer file (msicuu2.exe), scan the file for malware, just in case. (I use the free version of Malwarebytes AntiMalware to do single-file scans for that.)
    If the file is clean, to install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you've downloaded.
    Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any QuickTime entries and click "Remove".
    Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try installing QuickTime again. Does the install go through properly now?
    (If you do find a clean download site for the correct version of CleanUp, please don't tell me where it is. Without wishing to sound paranoid (although I grant it does sound paranoid), there is a non-zero chance that posting links to download locations for the utility here at Discussions leads to that download location being shut down.)

  • I have an IPod Nono 2 Gen  when connected to Itunes it shows up but when i try to open it it just disapperas from screen and I have to reconnect ipod to get it back. Also I cannot find my Ipod in the Device Manager on my PC, Can anyone help please

    My IPOD Nono 2nd Gen showes up in ITunes but when I clike on it it just disapears and the only way to get IPOD Icon back is to disconnect it from PC then reconnect it when agin the icon apperas but when selected just disapears. Also I cannot Find the IPOD in the device Manager on PC not sure if this is cause of problem. The IPOD worked OK up to 4 weeks ago Can any one help please?

    Try one or more of the following:
    > Restart Your Computer
    > Uninstall and Reinstall iTunes
    > Reset iPod (nothing will get deleted)
    > Look in My Computer (Windows 98, XP) OR Computer (Windows Vista or 7) and see if your iPod is in there.
    In some cases (and this happened to me before) plug your iPod in and out your computer a few times. It should get it going. If not, then I strongly recommend starting your computer.

    What do I wrong??

    There are two things that are probably causing this error.
    Line 22 in your HTML looks like this:
    </style><!--[if lt IE 9]>
    You need to remove the closing style tag:
    </style><!--[if lt IE 9]>
    Also in sesem.css, there's a missing closing brace on line 486:
    .footer {
      font-size: 1.1em;
      line-height: 1.4em;
      color: #878787;
      text-align: center;
    }  // <---- Missing closing brace
    /* Desktop Layout: 769px to a max of 1232px.  Inherits styles from: Mobile Layout and Tablet Layout. */
    There are other problems in your CSS, but fixing those two items should put you back on the right track.

  • Cannot find the maps stored in import manager during port creation

    Hi All,
    I am unable to find any maps that i saved in import manager during port creation ,the maps are not showing in dropdown list during port creation in console.Do i need to store the maps that i have in import manager in specific place under mdm server,so that i can see them during port creation.
    All i need to do is assign my import map during inbound port creation,but i cannot find any maps in console.
    Could I know whether i am storing my maps some where other than default location.
    Thanks
    Aravind

    Hi Aravind,
    First of all check the remote system assigned to ur Port. After that go to import manager. When u logon to the import manager, u get a window "Connect to source". Mention the same remote system over there.Select the file type.Browse the file and map the fields,values,field matching and save the map. then unload the repo and assign the map to the port.
    Second way is, u create the port first and give any particular remote system to it. Put the file (u want to use for mapping) in the ready folder of that port and in connect to source window select the type as port, remote system(ame as used port port) and port.then map and save. unload the repo and assign the map to port. Ready folder will be in ur server at location: C drive or D drive->SAP MDM 5.5 ->server->distributions->repo name->inbound->port code->ready. For this option, Ur port type should be manual. After assigning the map u can change it to automatic or keep it manual as per ur requirement.
    Hope this solves ur problem.

  • Xperia z3 compact - cannot find 4K video files in file manager or on sd card

    Hi all,
    This is my first post so hello to everyone.
    This is also my first smartphone and up until now I have not had any problems.
    I took a 12 minute 4K video the other day which is showing in my album but when I come to transfer it to my PC using the Sony Companion software I cannot find it anywhere.
    I looked for it on the internal memeory and it only displays photos - no video.
    I then bought a 128 GB SD card and transferred everything onto that, went back on the pc software but again the video is not displayed in the DCIM files.
    I have done a search using windows on both internal memory and SD card and nothing comes up for the file name.
    I can view the video on the phone and the details say it is on the SD card and give a full filename and pathway but as I said nothing comes up on a search.
    Why would this be?
    The file is 4.5GB in size but I didn't think that would be relevant.
    Can anyone help?
    Thanks
    Giles

    are you on a PC or Mac?
    open the video (play it) >while the video play tap on the icon to minimize the video > it will show you the path

    I think BB should bring back this option for the roxio media manager. BB had it before but I do not know why they got rid of it.

    What do you mean by that???

    Hi YiNing,
    You need to go to SOA Management-> Business Administration-> Web Service Administration.
    Best Regards

    I think you want to Search for the Proxy Definition DestinationSI and manually create a new logical port for that destination. For that you need to go through the way i have given above and then you can proceed.

  • Simple ? Media manager - create ringtones ?

    Excuse me if this is obvious, I've only have my blackberry curve a month or so, and finding that the doc - included and online isn't always accurate  :{
    anyway, finally getting enough basics figured out that I wanted to create some ring tones:
    In media manager the help says all you need to do is right click on an audio file and then select "edit with quick sound editor"
    only there is no option to that effect - so what do I do now ?
    Also with thousands of songs already on my pc (windows xp if that is an issue) there seems to be some selections that send media manager off the deep end trying to index all the songs or such - cpu usage jumps up to 50+ percent and stays there - literally for hours
    (I left it during diner) before I just killed it in task manger.
    any advice or recomendations would be appreciated.
    Thanks
    -Gus

    Hi ans welcome to the forums,
    Media manager is not a very stable program, Most users down't use it
    Are you usig iTunes? They are DRM protected and will not work in the media manager of blackberry.
    There are programs you can google to strip that protection. Also, there are apps that will allow you to
    cut your songs to ringtomes for free.

  • Windows cannot find ...wmplayer.ext error with CS5 and Win7x64

    I have the Master Collection installed on a Z800 dual quad core with 36 GB of RAM with a Quadro 3800 and everything runs in Master Collection fairly well so far, but when I am in bridge trying to play AVCHD files either from my Canon HF30 or my HMC150 through Bridge (CS5), I recieve a Windows dialouge box that states
    'Windows cannot find "%Program Files(x86)%\Windows Media Player\wmplayer.exe'  Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again.
    Any ideas?  I can navigate to where the video's are from in Windows explorere and when I double click on them they play just fine in WMP.
    Any help woudl be appreciated.

    I'll try renaming a file to .mts and see how it responds.  Thanks.
    The interesting thing here is that some Adobe products support AVCHD files while others don't.   I have Premiere Elements 8.0 on my laptop.  Premiere Elements includes a file manager called Organizer which functions like Bridge; that is to say, it is used to preview, rank and overall, manage media assets.  My .m2ts files both preview and play perfectly in Adobe's Organizer.  I have spent weeks talking to Adobe's technical support staff and have been passed to more than 20 different people.  None of the support staff seem to understand this issue.  They surely don't have a look at these forums, unfortunately.  They closed my case without a solution.
    I've considered installing Premiere Elements on my desktop PC solely to have a functioning file asset manager, but I don't know if it would result in conflicts or other problems.
    Thanks for your response.  It's worth a try for sure.

    Hi, this is a VM on a hyper-v host, so I doubt this is hardware related.
    FB
    Its not converted no, it's a bare metal deployment, but you may be right in that some drivers may have snuck in from the driver step in config manager. I will try that. Thank you.
    FB
    OK so what now??? Is it a fresh installed VM on Hyper-V? If yes how other hardware drivers can be installed there? Also the first entry "Batteries" should not be there in a fresh installed Hyper-V VM.
