Cannot find serial.dat file
I downloaded free Sun Java Studio Creator. I updated the creator using the update manager and when I restarted the Creator I get a dialog box to enter a license number, but I cant find any license number. I checked the install.properties file and found that the serial.dat file should be present in Sun/Creator/system/ folder. But I cant find the serial.dat file there. Is there any other way to install the license number to continue using the Creator.
Sounds like you have the old version of Creator. Please go to this website (you need to join the Sun Developer Network first) and download the new one which will not require you to have any license:
http://developers.sun.com/prodtech/javatools/jscreator/downloads/index.jsp
Thanks.

Cannot find the configuration file in classpath
Cannot find the configuration file /oracle/apps/prc/po/....applicationModule/common/bc4j.xcfg in the classpath.
Hi!
I'm trying to run the following code:
String appModule = "oracle.apps.prc.po.manageDocument.uiModel.viewDocument.applicationModule.ViewPurchasingDocumentApplicationModule";
String cfg = "ViewPurchasingDocumentApplicationModuleLocal";
ApplicationModule applicationModule = (ApplicationModule)Configuration.createRootApplicationModule(appModule, cfg);
I get this error message:

I have checked and the config file does exist in the correct directory, and I can see it in my Application Module - Configurations. Any idea why this is happening? Am I supposed to configure something specifically for this or add it in my classpath? If so, how am I supposed to do it?
Thanks
Mansi
Edited by: Mansi G on Oct 6, 2008 11:56 AMWhere is the code you posted? Running in a separate project, I assume? Does that project have a dependency on the project containing the app module specified?
And just to check (although by default, JDev should do this for you)--the app module project has been compiled since adding the configuration, right? You need to check to make sure the config exists not only under Project/src, but under Project/classes.

Oh, and BTW--I assume this is not a typical ADF application, right? In a standard ADF application, you would very rarely need to instantiate an application module in code like this; you could just let the data binding facility do it for you. The technique like the one you're using is most appropriate for purely programmatic, no-UI cases. (e.g., once I tried to implement an SMTP server backed by business components. That was an appropriate case for ditching databindings and doing the sort of thing you're doing, because it had no view layer (because it had no UI to render). -
Cannot find some .TOC file in TDSHL homogeneous DB copy
We are at the import stage of a homogeneous DB copy for an ABAP only BW

This homogeneous copy is a part of a TDMS shell creation.

In the exported dump directory, we truly cannot find above TOC files.
We did not have any ERROR during the export phase.
According to my experience, this might be caused by the fact that this ABAP BW system has a JAVA add-on
on a different server with a dfferent SID than the ABAP SID -- but the JAVA DB is in the same database as the ABAP but with a different schema. Therefore when we do export source system->central system->ABAP based, those TOC files could not be created. However I do not have the document created in my previous project, I cannot verify my impression.
Are SAPDDIM and SAPDFACT standard SAP objects?
Please help input your opinions.
Thanks!Pankaj and Anoop:
1) I have removed all lines starting with 'D ' in the problem *.TSK files and run again.
However, it's still looking for the non-existing *.TOC file. Here is the log:

JBO-33001: Cannot find the configuration file bc4j.xcfg in the classpath
We have an application created using Oracle JDeveloper 9i connected to Oracle 10g DB hosted on:
windows 2000 server with Oracle Application Server 9i (9.0.3.0)
It was working fine until we transfer our Data center to another location and new netwrok design was implemented including changing IP addresses
So we deinstalled AS and install again and deployed the war file...
then , I tried to change this file : bc4j.xcfg (where connection string was stored in) to update the new DB Server IP address
I got this error :
JBO-33001: Cannot find the configuration file EumrDB\common\bc4j.xcfg in the classpath
I tried everything including restarting the server , deploying different version of war files ... Your help is appreciated...Hi,
Did you change the bc4j.xcfg file manually by extracting from the war file and then adding back to war file? Have you tried opening the application in JDeveloper, change the connection, re-deploy to war file and deploy to application server?

BUG: JBO-33001: Cannot find the configuration file bc4j.xcfg
Hi,
I get the exception JBO-33001: Cannot find the configuration file com\trivadis\adf\demos\login\model\common\bc4j.xcfg in the classpath
after I have edited the file outside of JDev9052. Why? Because I followed the instructions of the help document "Modifying the JClient Login Dialog for JDBC". To get the JCLoginDialog you have to remove some lines in the bc4j.xcfg file.
I have deleted the classes directory, rebuild the complete workspace, but I still get the exception.
Any comments?
Thanks,
Markus

The system cannot find the specified file
I have tried to download and install a driver for hp officejet 4500 wireless on 2 different computers, one windows 7
the other windows 8, with no sucess. I keep getting a message saying " The system cannot find the specified file".
I even paid for a driver on a disk and got the same message.
HELP ME PLEASE
Sincerely
meyerretHi,
Follow the steps below and check if that resolve the issue:
1. Open Mcafee software, from the Virus and Spyware Protection section click on Schedule and run scans. Click on Real time scanning and then on Turn Off. select till I restart the PC and confirm by clicking the Turn Off button.
Now try reinstalling the HP Software and check if the installation goes as expected.
If the issue persists continue following the next steps below:
2. Open the run dialog by clicking both the Windows key and the R key on your keyboard. Type %windir% and click on OK.
3. Type hpoins*.dat into the top search bar, if there are any results rename the extention into old instead of dat. (e.g. hpoins1.old)
4. Type hpwins*.dat into the top search bar, if there are any results rename the extention into old instead of dat. (e.g. hpwins1.old)
5. Launch the Run dialog by clicking both the Windows key and the R key on your keyboard. Type MSIEXEC /UNREGISTER into the Run dialog and click on OK.
6. Launch the Run dialog by clicking both the Windows key and the R key on your keyboard. Type MSIEXEC /REGSERVER into the Run dialog and click on OK.
7. Run the installation file and check for any difference.

Startup class cannot find a config file.
I have written a startup class to configure log4j in Weblogic.
The class runs but cannot find the configuration file. The
code for the startup class is as follows....
package com.n2bb.ams.common.util;
import java.io.FileInputStream;
import java.io.File;
import java.io.IOException;
import java.net.URL;
import java.util.Properties;
import com.n2bb.ams.common.util.FileLocator;
import org.apache.log4j.xml.DOMConfigurator;

public class ApplicationStartUp implements weblogic.common.T3StartupDef {
* ApplicationStartUp constructor comment.
public ApplicationStartUp() {
super();
* setServices method comment.
public void setServices(weblogic.common.T3ServicesDef arg1) {
* startup method comment.
public String startup(String arg1, java.util.Hashtable arg2) throws Exception {
String resource = null;
try {
resource = (String) arg2.get("configFileName");
System.out.println("ConfigFileName: " + resource);
URL configFileResource = ApplicationStartUp.class.getResource(resource);
System.out.println("configFileResource: " + configFileResource.toString());
String file = configFileResource.getFile();
DOMConfigurator.configure(file);
return "Log4j configuration initialized completed.";
} catch (Exception e) {
System.out.println("Cannot open config file: " + resource);
return "Log4j configuration failed to initialized.";
The section of the config.xml the calls my startup class looks
like....
<StartupClass
Arguments="configFileName=/bea/user_projects/mydomain/log4j-config.xml"
ClassName="com.n2bb.ams.common.util.ApplicationStartUp"
Name="AMS Startup Class" Targets="myserver"/>
I have tested the code in a standalone class and it works fine.
Why can't I find the log4j-config.xml file? Any help would be
greatly appreciated.Wow, your system must have a long history of having picked up assorted bad stuff ...
You have CleanMyMac2, which should definitely be removed.
You have other stuff (MacCleanse, for example) that I don't have first-hand knowledge about but should very likely be removed.
You are using Google Chrome which is a resource hog.
Further, your Adobe Flash player is not current.
If I had all these issues, I would do a clean install of Yosemite and only reintroduce the essential stuff.
You can search for the .plist files by opening finder, holding down the Option key, and doing Go > Library from Finder's menu and then searching for the file(s). -

Errors in file /opt/oracle/oradump/emtprd02/udump/emtprd02_ora_11578.trc:
ORA-01157: cannot identify/lock data file 3009 - see DBWR trace file
ORA-01110: data file 3009: '+EMTPRD0X_SSD01/emtprd0x/tempfile/temp04.256.732210281'
After talking with Oracle support I was told that the only workaround for diskgroups unmounting themselves is to put a control file/redo log/dummy tablespace inside of that diskgroup and continually write/read from it.
Does that make sense?
They pointed me to note 603204.1 - Why FRA Diskgroup Gets Mounted/Dismounted.
The system is a 3 node Oracle 10.2.0.4 rac running on ASM Solaris x86 64bit.
Any ideas?
Thanks,

My db is not in archivelog mode poor choice
and no backup was taken. Worse choise
Is there any way I can recover this db? Recover as in no data loss?
Very doubtful.
Possible to open with data loss.
01157, 00000, "cannot identify/lock data file %s - see DBWR trace file"
// *Cause: The background process was either unable to find one of the data
// files or failed to lock it because the file was already in use.
// The database will prohibit access to this file but other files will
// be unaffected. However the first instance to open the database will
// need to access all online data files. Accompanying error from the
// operating system describes why the file could not be identified.
// *Action: Have operating system make file available to database. Then either
// open the database or do ALTER SYSTEM CHECK DATAFILES.What exactly cause this mess?

I've just installed Firefox on my laptop and keep getting the message, "Windows cannot find 'c:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again." I get this message whenever I either try to open it from the Start menu or from the desktop icon. I've never gotten it to work and even uninstalled it and then redownloaded it and still cannot get it to open. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!
Are you installing from the official site? http://www.mozilla.com/firefox
If you use Windows Explorer (My Computer) to check that path, is the Mozilla Firefox folder there? That is the normal installation location, but I think it's worth checking.
If the folder isn't there or firefox.exe is not in it, I wonder whether some other software might be interfering. You might want to run some supplemental security scans. These two tools are highly regarded:

I can't find my data file, in order to back it up. After going to Documents - Palm One, the only thing that looks like a user name is a file with no data. Somewhere there has to be another file with all my data, since data is available when I open the Palm One software on my computer. After backing it up, I want to uninstall and reinstall the Palm One software. I'm hoping this resolves my inabilty hot sync. Thanks! Lauraflavin.
