Cannot find the tools submenus
Hello,
I have what probably is quite a silly problem: in Illustrator, when you go with the mouse over the icons of the tools, e.g. pen tool, the small submenu usually pops out. I think I must have accidentally changed some preferences or something of that sort, because mine stopped doing this. Only, I can't find how to reverse this, I'm a beginner user, so I struggle to find all the tools via the bar menu, and simply switching AI off in hope it will go back to the default settings didn't help.
So if anyone can give me some advice on how to deal with that, I'd really appreciate.
Cheers,
Rafal
Rafal,
It sounds like preferences gone weird.
To start with, you may try to (proceeding until it works or you reach the end of the list, and if you are on Vista restart the PC before starting up Illy, each time in the process described):
1) Close and open Illy,
2) Repeat 1) pressing Ctrl+Alt+Shift/Cmd+Option+Shift during startup,
3) Move the folder,
4) Go through the usual suspects in item 7 in Other options.
You will dislike some of the other options such as:
5) Uninstall, run the Cleaner Tool (presuming CS3, 4, or 5), and reinstall.

Unify Layer Style - cannot find the tools
Unify Layer Style - I have found the section in Adobe Help PDF, but for the life of me, I cannot find the tools within PS6 .... These are the instructions:
Unify layer properties
1.In the Animation panel (Photoshop Extended CS5) or Timeline panel (CS6), change the attribute to one frame.
2.In the Layers panel, click Unify Layer Position , Unify Layer Visibility , or Unify Layer Style to have the changed attribute apply to all other frames in the active layer.
I have multiple photographs I would like to create a video of. I want the fade affect to be applied to each picture, but so far I have only been able to update the fade on each idividual frame. I have searched and searched all over google and cannot find specific instructions of how to duplicate the fade affect to all my frames.
I have Photoshop CS6
Please helpThere in the top section of the layer palette when you in a frame animation in the timeline palette. Note the options they can be hidden...............
Unifying layer properties in animation frames
The unify buttons (Unify Layer Position, Unify Layer Visibility, and Unify Layer Style) in the Layers panel determine how the changes you make to attributes in the active animation frame apply to the other frames in the same layer. When a unify button is selected, that attribute is changed in all the frames in the active layer; when that button is deselected, changes apply to only the active frame.
The Propagate Frame 1 option in the Layers panel also determines how the changes you make to attributes in the first frame will apply to the other frames in the same layer. When it is selected, you can change an attribute in the first frame, and all subsequent frames in the active layer will change in relation to the first frame (and preserve the animation you have already created).
Unify layer properties
In the Animation panel (Photoshop Extended CS5) or Timeline panel (CS6), change the attribute to one frame.
In the Layers panel, click Unify Layer Position , Unify Layer Visibility , or Unify Layer Style to have the changed attribute apply to all other frames in the active layer.
Propagate frame 1
In the Layers panel, select the Propagate Frame 1 option.
In the Animation panel (Photoshop Extended CS5) or Timeline panel (CS6), change the attribute for the first frame.The changed attribute is applied (in relation) to all subsequent frames in a layer.
You can also propagate frames by Shift-selecting any consecutive group of frames in the layer and changing an attribute in any of the selected frames.
Show or hide Unify Layers buttons
Choose Animation Options from the Layers panel menu, and then choose one of the following:
Automatic Displays the unify layers buttons when the Animation panel is open. In Photoshop Extended, the Animation panel must be in frame animation mode.
Always Show Displays the unify layers buttons whether the Animation panel is open or closed.
Always Hide Hides the unify layers buttons whether the Animation panel is open or closed. -
The new look where the menu bar is hidden, looks really nice.
...but I can't find the Tools option when the menu bar is hidden.
Therefore I can't access plug-in options like Session Manager.
I would really like the Tools menu appearing i.e. below the Options in the Firefox 'start menu'.Press F10 or tap the Alt key to bring up the "Menu Bar" temporarily.

In Firefox 4, I cannot find the "Tools" menu. Where is it?
The first question I asked was how to disable the pop-up window feature. I cannot uncheck the block box in the control panel!! There was a red box around this option and when I tried to uncheck this option, nothing happened.
The 2nd question is that I don"t see the "tools" menu after clicking on the firefox tab?The Menu Bar is hidden by default in Windows 7. Please read this article to show it:
http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Menu%20bar%20is%20missing
Once you select to show it, you should see the Tool option, then go to Options > Content and you can disable the pop-up window by CHECK it. -

I could not find the "burn tool" in Photoshop 7, so I purchased Photoshop Elements 12, and I still cannot find the "burn tool".
Does the "burn tool" still exist? If so, where is it???
ThanksWell, as I always say... If I want things done right, I have to do them myself.
I found the solution on the Internet... One must place your pointer on the icon that is presently showing and then press the letter "o" key to toggle between the Burn, Dodge, and Sponge tools. -

Server Publishing infrastructure and Server publishing features are activated on site collection and site respectively.
Any suggestions, why I am getting this error in NAPA ?Hi,
According to your post, my understanding is that you have an issue about adding attachments to list items in app.
To add attachment to list item in the host web, we should first get the list and the list items from the host web, then add the attachments to the list items.
There are two articles about retrieve the list and list items in the host web, you can refer to them.
http://www.dotnetcurry.com/showarticle.aspx?ID=1028
http://www.c-sharpcorner.com/UploadFile/93cb27/retrieve-sharepoint-app-host-web-list-items-in-sharepoint-ho/
What’s more, we can also use the REST API to achieve the same scenario.

I'm trying to install Windows 8.1 via Parallels on my Macbook Pro.
I create a new VM and use the .ISO file and get the error: "Windows cannot find the microsoft software license terms. Make sure the installation sources are valid and restart the installation."
I found this question was answered here: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/windows/en-US/b1021d66-9774-4b5b-b50b-ad860c5ecc89/windows-8-enterprise-rtm-installation-error?forum=w8itproinstall
However, following the steps of the solution did not work for me. I created a blank VM and chose Windows 8.1. After this, it asks me to insert the installation disc. I cannot figure out how to use the .ISO as the source at this point. I tried copying and
pasting the path to the file and dragging the file to the VM, but no luck.
If there is a way I can install this without this error message or by somehow getting the path to the .ISO that'd be perfect.Hi,
According to your description, I would like to confirm if you have unchecked the Express installation box.
Be sure to uncheck 'Express Installation' when installing, otherwise Windows setup will fail with an error "cannot find license terms" and get stuck in a reboot cycle.
I suggest you refer to the following link to use Parallels Desktop to install Windows 8.1.

Symptom One
You attempt to
schedule a backup every day via Windows Server Backup on Windows Server 2008 R2. At the beginning, the backup works without issue. But after a few days it failed and you receive the error “Windows Server Backup:
The system cannot find the path specified.”
Cause
The issue may occur if there is
no shadow copy storage space available on the backup volume.
Verify
You can use the List ShadowStorage command to check if you have enough storage space to store the newly created shadow copy. If you've reviewed the size of the backup snapshot and discovered
that there is no allocated space for the storage association, you need to resize shadowstorage.
Solution
You could run the command below to create shadow copy storage space on the backup volume:
vssadmin resize
shadowstorage /for=<ForVolumeSpec> /on=<OnVolumeSpec> [/maxsize=<MaxSizeSpec>]
More Information
Vssadmin resize shadowstorage
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc788050.aspx
Symptom Two
When you add
another external hard drive to backup schedule via Windows Server Backup on Windows Server 2012, it fails and you receive the error “The System cannot find the path specified.”
Cause
The issue is due to the
Original Destination Disk was not attached to the server.
Verify
You could check the disk status in Disk Management to see if the Original Destination Disk is offline or removed.
Solution
You need to attach
Original Destination Disk to the Server then choose another external hard drive as backup target. After that, you could remove the Original Destination Disk.
Workaround
To work around this issue, please use the WBADMIN command line tool to add disk.
WBADMIN ENABLE BACKUP -addtarget :{ DiskID}
The AddTarget parameter takes disk ID as parameter. It can be retrieved by running "WBADMIN GET DISKS" command.
Example:
WBADMIN ENABLE BACKUP
-addtarget :{ aa123d14-bba0-1dd9-0d93-80aaaa6bbb63}
More Information
Wbadmin enable backup

in Microsoft HTML Help I get the following error when I click
Finish: cannot find the HTML browser installed on your system
Any ideas welcome. With thanks, JHi JayRichard
You might try the following.
Inside RoboHelp HTML, click Tools > Options...
Click the Tool Locations tab
At the bottom of the dialog should be an area listing
"Browser paths". You should see one for Internet Explorer and one
for Netscape. Try clicking the little file folder icon to the right
of one of them. (Whichever browser you are using)
Navigate to and select the executable file for the browser.
Mine for Internet Explorer says:
D:\Program Files\...\iexplore.exe (The full path is
D:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe
Dismiss the dialogs by clicking the Open and OK buttons until
they are all gone.
Keep us posted on whether this helps... Rick -
"Cannot find the main Class. Program will exit."
Hi, I created a program, and I am trying to distribute it to other people in my office. I tried using both NetBeans 6.8/6.9 and eclipse. I exported to a single jar file. When I run this single .jar file, it runs perfectly. I sent it to one of my coworkers, and the message "Cannot find the main Class. Program will exit." popped up. I then had IT update his Java to 6.20 and it worked. The problem is that this program must be distributed to over 100 people, and I cannot have them each update their Java individually, nor will IT update everyone's on their own. They all have Java 4.XX I believe. Is there any way around this error that only happens on older versions of java? I have checked my manifest file and what not, as I said it runs on computers with Java 6.
AndrewThompson64 wrote:
Do you mean Java 1.4? It is best to be sure, so point some of the target machines at this page(1) to check.Yes, Sorry I meant 1.4.XX, I think they have 1.4.2_19.

a) Ensure the code does not use functionality introduced in later versions, e.g. assertions, generics, for-each loops.. Using the [cross-compilation options of javac|http://java.sun.com/javase/6/docs/technotes/tools/windows/javac.html#crosscomp-options] will warn of those.
b) Ensure the code does not use any classes, attributes or methods that were not available in the earlier version, then use the cross-compilation options of javac when compiling. Actually the second will alert of the first, so long as the -bootclasspath parameter is used with an appropriate rt.jar.I believe that everything is ok, unless some of the swing functions cannot be used in 1.4. Besides the swing functions (which I am not sure about) everything should be able to be used in 1.4

MDT2012 - Deployment failed, the system cannot find the file specified
Hi everybody.
First, excuse me for my english, i think it's not the best thing I'm able to do, but now, I REALLY need help.
I encounter issues with my MDT 2012 Update 1 platform.
I have 5 systems to capture. All systems have 3 partitions (System, softwares, data). Capture is working fine for all parts.
In my Task Sequence, to deploy these images (C, D and E parts), I use a script after the "Install Operating System" which runs imagex to deploy the WIM images for D: and E:.
The script is the following :
"%DeployRoot%\Tools\x64\imagex" /apply "%DeployRoot%\Operating Systems\D_Drive\D_Drive.wim" 1 %DDrive%"
But, for some images, the task fails on the "D" drive deployement. The wizard shows the following error :
Litetouch deployment dailed, return code = -214767259 0x80004005
Failed to run the action: InstallD (ie : the script above)
The system cannot find the file specified. (Error: 00000002; Source: Windows)
The error is on my task which uses imagex to deploy my D and E WIM.
So I looked to see if the file's path was the good one.
And it is !!!
Wizard says that the file couldn't be find, but the file is existing, and in the good path.
For your information, there is no problem when I don't use multicast. Everything is working fine on unicast, not on multicast.
I even encounter this issue if I use my MDT server and my computers on the same switch.
Any help would be gratefull, my client gives me the week to resolve the issue.
ThanksBDD.LOG

ORA-20100 The system cannot find the file specified 0RA-06512
I can create and deploy a .NET stored procedure but when I run it either from Visual Studio 2005 Oracle Explorer or TOAD or SQLPlus I get the following:
ORA-20100: The system cannot find the file specified.
ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_CLR", line 211
ORA-06512: at "PROD.GETSEGADDRNO", line 7
ORA-06512: at line 1
It is basically the same C# code as the OTN sample except for accessing a table in my database.
I found a forum thread dated 2006 with basically the same error message and it said the problem was fixed in Oracle Database patched to 10.2.0.2 but I can't find such a patch for 10g R2 Enterprise.
This is my first time setting up Server 2003, Oracle 10g and ODT for .NET
(I successfully created and deployed an external procedures for Oracle 8.1.7 on Windows 2000 a couple of years ago)
This is the code:
using System;
using System.Collections.Generic;
using System.Text;
using System.Data;
// use the ODP.NET provider
using Oracle.DataAccess.Client;
using Oracle.DataAccess.Types;
namespace CLRLibrary1
// Sample .NET stored function returning address number (ADDR_NO) for
// a given segment number (SEG_NO)
public class Class1
public static int GetSegAddrNo(int segno)
int addrno = 0;
// Check for context connection
OracleConnection conn = new OracleConnection();
if (OracleConnection.IsAvailable == true)
conn.ConnectionString = "context connection=true";
else
throw new InvalidOperationException("context connection" +
"not available");
conn.Open();
// Create and execute a command
OracleCommand cmd = conn.CreateCommand();
cmd.CommandText = "SELECT ADDR_NO FROM SEG WHERE SEG_NO = :1";
cmd.Parameters.Add(":1", OracleDbType.Int32, segno,
System.Data.ParameterDirection.Input);
OracleDataReader rdr = cmd.ExecuteReader();
if (rdr.Read())
addrno = rdr.GetInt32(0);
rdr.Close();
cmd.Dispose();
conn.Close();
return addrno;
} // GetSegAddrNo
