Cannot find

Question

I installed j2sdk1.4.2_11 on my PC . My operating system is XP Home.
I wrote a small command line program just to see if it was working.
"javac " and it compiled
When I used the "java" command to run the program I got the following error
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError:
The appropriate "public static void main(String[] args)" appears in the code , there is a class definition.
The very same program works perfectly when I run it on another computer running XP Professional. (I copied it to the other computer)
Can anyone suggest a solution
