Cannot fix GREEN SCREEN

I am getting a green screen on my videos, and great audio.. JUST NO VISUAL, other than the green screen.....SO this seems to be a common problem with a simple solution, however the common fix is impossible for me. When I right click the player,  I click the settings, but there is NO Display tab to  uncheck the “Enable Hardware Acceleration.” box. This box does not show itself. I have a privacy tab followed by a storage, mic and camera tab.  I have spent about two hours searching for help on this but can't find a solution.... Please Can ANyone HELP!!!

  • How to fix green screen blotches on teeth in imovie 10.0.7

There are green blotches on the individual's teeth from the green screen used.  I need to know how to fix in imovie 10.0.7.

"Did you have spinach for dinner?" ... SCNR!
And such a nice smile, 'priceless' and most probably not to be re-done, right?
sorry, to say, but that reaches the limits of lil' iMovie.
You can not manually adjust the color-key in iMovie, as you can do in FCPX, nor does it offer any 'masking' features as Motion would...
.. FCPX offers a 30d free and fully functional (no watermarks etc) trial ... but then you have to learn how to handle color-key in that pro app ... which is not a beginners task ...

  • How to fix green screen on all flash videos

Getting a green screen with audio on all flash videos, ranging from EI 11, Google Chrome, and Steam. Running windows 8.1 with all recent drivers and updates. Have tried enabling/disabling hardware acceleration, using software rendering instead of gpu rendering. This has been happening for many months and I still have not been able to find a solution. Have viewed many forums and have tried many solutions with no success. Any help appreciated.

Be sure to try a Reset first
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1320
This "reboots" the iPod.  If that does not help, try doing a Restore on the iPod in iTunes (from the iPod's Summary tab).  This erases the iPod, re-installs its software, and sets it to default settings.
If that does not help, the cause is likely to be a hardware problem.

  • Tough question that I cannot fix (blue screen and locking up

I am hoping someone can help and save me the $80 to have this checked. I always have to start my computer in safe mode ( hold down the shift key before turning the power on). I tried doing the "c" key and running the disk utilities to see if it reports any errors and it does not. By doing this is does help until my computer goes into "sleep" mode. When I wake it back up everything is locked. The first time my computer ever locked up on me is when I was running Microsoft Word. I do not know what happened, it just locked up and I have been having problems ever since. I seem to be missing different fonts in Word as well. Another strange thing is I see faint lines next to my mouse when the screen in white. I have also followed the instructions on this link too http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=Mac/10.4/en/mh2235.html and this does not work either. Can someone please help me?

    Hello Adam,
Aside from BDAqua's sound advice, try resetting the PRAM.. here's how:
    Resetting PRAM and NVRAM
    Shut down the computer.
Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command, Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.
    Turn on the computer.
Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys. You must press this key combination before the gray screen appears.
Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.
    Release the keys.
Your computer's PRAM and the NVRAM are reset to the default values. The clock settings may be reset to a default date on some models.
    See if that helps...
Re: Trash A folder called Recovered Files appears in my Trash
One or more Recovered Files folder may appear in your Trash after restarting your computer. The recovered files are temporary files used by Mac OS X applications. Usually temporary files are deleted by an application when it no longer needs them. If an application quits unexpectedly, the temporary files may not get deleted by the application. When you restart your computer, Mac OS X moves these temporary files to the Trash.
You can retrieve useful files by dragging them out of the Trash. In most cases, however, the temporary files are not important and it is safe to empty your Trash. Check with the manufacturer of the application if you are not sure.

    Hello @jims12345,
I understand that you are having issues with getting a green screen when you are trying to watch videos on your HP Pavilion 23 All-in-One Desktop PC running Windows 8.1. Below are the steps to use Windows Troubleshooter to diagnose the problem.

    Step 1. Press Windows Key + X
    Step 2. Click “Device Manager”
Step 3. Expand the top level entry and then the recently installed driver name
Step 4. Right-click the relevant driver and select Uninstall option
    Step 5. Reboot your computer
Next, lets try to restore Default CMOS SettingsGo to the CMOS settings page and restore the default settings & values. Some recent changes in the CMOS settings might have caused this issue.
    Step 1. Press Windows Key + C
Step 2. The Charms Bar will appear on the right side of your screen
Step 3. Click the Settings icon
Step 4. Click Power | Restart
Step 5. The computer will shut down and restart
Step 6. Press F10 or Delete key repeatedly as the case may be
Step 7. Click Apply default and Exit
Next, we will try to turn off the Video Acceleration setting which is found in the Windows Media Player. Fix Green Screen Errors in Windows 8/8.1 by disabling the video acceleration feature.
Step 1. Press Windows Key, open Windows Media Player from the Start Screen
Step 2. Click the Play tab on the right side panel
step 3. Press Alt key of your keyboard
Step 4. Click Tools | Options
Step 5. Options dialog will open
Step 6. Click the Performance tab
Step 7. Uncheck the box named “Turn on DirectX video acceleration for WMV files”
Step 8. Click Apply, and then OK
Step 9. Exit and re-open the application
Lastly, lets try to disable all plug-ins, extensions that are part of your web browser. The actual steps are given as under:
    Step 1. Press Windows Key + R
Step 2. Type “inetcpl.cpl” in the Open textbox, click OK
Step 3. Internet Options dialog will open with default General tab
Step 4. Replace the text specified in the Home Page
Step 5. Under “Startup” category select “Start with home page”
Step 6. Click the Tabs button
Step 7. Click “Restore defaults” button
Step 8. Under “When a new tab is opened, open:” drop down box select “A blank page” option
    Step 9. Click OK
Step 10. Click Apply and then OK

  • Green Screen on all online video's including dwnloading BBC Iplayer videos

I have a HP 15-g094sa Notebook PC with an AMD Radeon(TM) R5 Graphics card. I am finding i cant wach any videos online or watch downloads from BBC Iplayer. I have clicked on the settings, advanced and accelaerated graphics and it makes no difference what so ever. If i had known i'd have this problem i would never have bought a HP laptop.
Im also finding that when i type the laptop is unable to keep up with what i type and missing letters or symbols regularly this is also very annoying especially as someone who can type at a reasonable speed. I shouldnt have to stop to read it just to make sure the letters are al typing.
I would like solutions to both these problems please.

  • How to fix iPad that has a green screen and lags when you try watching videos

How do you fix your iPad when it has a green screen and it lags when you try to watch videos, such as from YouTube?
I tried to watch YouTube on Safari but it does not work, and the app version of YouTube does not work either. When the video is playing, it will start to turn green, and it will lag.
Please, I would really appreciate it if you can help me, because I really want to watch videos again.
    Thank you very much!

First thing to try is to reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously ignoring the red slider should one appear until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.
If that doesn't help it is most likely a hardware failure. Make an appointment at an apple store to have the device examined by a technician.

  • Green Screen Fix

I have a green screen whenever I try to watch any video on my laptop. This just started within the last couple days. I tried right-clicking on "Settings" when in the video, but there's no place that allows me to enable "hardware acceleration". How can I fix this?

Green screen  (99.99999% of the time) is caused by either outdated or corrupted video drivers. Even if they're up to date, that can be corrupted.
Update them from the manufacturer, NOT Windows update:
identify the manufacturer and type of your video card
open Device Manager: Start | Run | enter devmgmt.msc
open the Display Adapters drop-down; this will show you the installed video card:
    identify the device driver version
right-click on your display adapter entry and select Properties
click on the Driver tab; this will show you the driver version and date:
go to the device manufacturer's support site and download the latest driver
NVIDIA cards: NVIDIA driver download page, or auto-detect
ATI cards: ATI driver download page, or auto-detect
Intel cards: Intel driver download page, or auto-detect
Matrox cards: Matrox driver download page
VIA cards: VIA Arena driver download page (redirects to 3rd-party download site)
SiS cards: SiS driver download page, or auto-detect
S3 cards: S3 driver download page, or auto-detect (option 2 on the download page)
follow the instructions on the manufacturer's support site
Note: some of the auto-detect utilities linked above will only run on Internet Explorer.

  • Whenever I play videos, I get a green screen. How do I fix this?

    Hi,
I have an iPod Touch 4th generation running on iOS 6.1.6. Whenever I try to play a video of any kind (via Youtube, Vine, videos I've taken, etc), only the audio works and I can only see a green screen (sometimes black). This problem happened to me before, but the videos worked normally after about a week. But now it's been like a month. Does anyone know how I can fix this? I tried to reset settings, turning it off/on, erasing all website data, but nothing is working....

    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

  • TS3274 i dropped my ipad and now i have a "green screen" how do i fix this?

i dropped my ipad and now i have a "green screen" how do i fix this?

If it's an iPad 2, it's old enough to be out of warranty. Courcoul's suggestion to trade it in for a new one is ok if you are in the market. If not and you want to take a risk - and possibly a big one at that - others have reported a pretty extreme solution to this problem. Slap it on the back.
I know, I know. It's sounds crazy, but there are several threads here claiming it works.
Here is just one of them. You can do a search to find others.

  • Firefox will not play videos. A green screen shows instead. Same sites work in IE. Problem just started this week. How can I fix this?

The sound works -- it's just that video is replaced by a solid green screen.

I found the problem, and I don't think it is with Firefox or Adobe. I have Radeon Graphics running on a Intel Core i7 computer and I was able to solve this problem by opening the Catalyst Control Center and clicking on one setting and applying.
Open your Catalyst Control Center (it may be an icon on your desktop, in the start menu, or accessed via right clicking the desktop and selecting "Graphics Properties") and click on the "power" icon. From there you select "Switchable Graphics", and there should be an area for "recent applications". If you do not see any recent applications, I would re-download the flash player, access a website that uses it, and then retry the above instructions. There should be a "button" to the right of the Flash Player Application and select it until it says "power saving" and select apply. I also tried using "high performance" as a setting and the green screen remained. I am using Catalyst Control Center version 2011.1205.2215.39827, and cannot say if the above instructions will work with any other version.

If you have AppleCare and/or iPod Nano is still under warranty, give them a call.  If not, take the computer to your local Apple Store or AASP.  The staff will tell you what is wrong w/it and let you know if it can be fixed after it is examined.
