Cannot Follow Cet

I get the following error when clicking some links in this forum:
"It appears you're not allowed to view what you requested. You might contact your administrator if you think this is a mistake. "
e.g. this link: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/980705?promoid=KBHBE
I am logged in, so not why this is happening?

Check and see if you have the layer selected in the layers panel and not the layer mask.
(you want the layer selected and not the layer mask)
You also need to be in the Expert mode in the pse 12 editor.
Also, depending on the sharpening effect you want, you could do a Shift+Alt+Ctrl+E (Shift+Option+Cmd+E)
to merge all the layers into new layer on top of the layer stack and then do your sharpening.

  • OpenSuse client cannot follow junction

    Hi,
On OES11sp1 I have a junction that I cannot follow.
    Source : \\servername\Volume_1
    Junction : \\servername\volume\Junction01
    Target : \\serername\volume_2
Windows XP/ Win 7/ OSX can mount \\servername\Volume_1 and can follow (browse into) \junction\ and see/modify files on the target just fine.
However on opensuse it does not follow the junction, instead it generates an error message. For example the ls command says "ls: cannot access /mnt/dfs/Junction01/: Not a directory". I can mount the junction directly and not get any error messages.
Thus this mount is okay :
    # mount -t cifs //n12/n12_home/Junction01 /mnt/dfs -o username=<username>
But this mount leads to failures :
    # mount -t cifs //n12/n12_home /mnt/dfs -o username=<username>
For the failure case, if I try to do "ls /mnt/dfs/Junction01" dmesg says (after increasing the cifs log level to 3) :

  • Mac workstation cannot follow DFS junction

Greetings all. I may be trying to do something that is not supported, but I have broken a very large volume (2Tb) into 3 smaller volumes using DFS junctions. One server holds all three volumes which are NSS. The server is running SLES10SP3 and OES2SP3. My Windows workstations can follow the junctions and see all the files on the other volumes, but the few Mac workstations we have cannot, even when connecting to the junction volume via CIFS/SMB. Has anyone tried this? Is it even possible? If so, does anyone have any ideas about why the Macs can't see the files on the target volumes? Thanks!

There are differences between how Windows and Mac clients talk SMB to
CIFS, at least using OES2. During previous OES2 betas I was seeing
differences in behaviour between Windows and Macs - Windows worked
whilst Macs didn't, or at least behaved differently.
Now as to the question of accessing DFS junctions from Mac OS X I think,
since I've not used this myself, that DFS support is not included in any
current version of Mac OS X. There is a third-party product available
that supports DFS on Mac OS X - see http://www.thursby.com/Mac_OSX_DFS.html
Now it maybe that the next version of Mac OS X, Lion (10.7), will be
different as Apple are writing their own SMB implementation.
    HTH.

    Regards,

  • Cannot follow the manual powershell instructions to create a W2Go Device

    Hi,
I tried to use the native Windows To Go creator wizard in my Windows 8.1 Enterprise edition. My USB flash drive was a Patriot 32 GB one of RAGE type. It was the best product found in our local market, as the Microsoft recommended devices were not available
to purchase. Unfortunately, the wizard failed to start with my flash drive and refused to work with it.
Then, I found a page on TechNet through google (http://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/contents/articles/6991.windows-to-go-step-by-step.aspx) which showed me a step-by-step guide to create a Windows To Go drive using a list of PowerShell
commands. It requires you to create two separate partitions on the drive and execute some instructions to make it. The surprising point that I realized was that the Windows does not allow you to have access to more than one primary partition at a time on the
Removable disks. This meant for me that the powershell script was not applicable to my flash.
I also tried to make a trick and used BootIce software to swap accessible partitions. But, I could not link the two partitions so that the Windows boots from the device.
My first question is: Does Microsoft certified W2G devices bypass the restrictions mentioned above on simultaneous access to flash drive partitions?
Second question: How to logically link the two partitions stated above so that the drive can boot successfully any system? Am I wrong with the process?
    Thanks

    Hello sisili,
Are you confused about the two partition?
The 350 MB partition is system partition , and the other is OS partition.
Based on my knowledge, the certification process ensures that drives are built for the high random read / write speeds required for running Windows smoothly. In other part, they are same.
For more information, please take a look at the following video about how to create a Windows To Go Workspace.
    https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/dn127075.aspx?f=255&MSPPError=-2147217396
It give the steps about create Windows To Go by by using the Create a Windows To Go Workspace wizard.
And then analyze the how to use Windows PowerShell.

any way for firefox users to get around this, like an addon or configuration change? many people who go to the site I listed would like to know.

I am not the only FF user affected by this for this site as confirmed by others. at http://eternalwars.com they have a help section. all pages that use the <a href="..\(insert directory\(insert page)">(insert text here)</a> type linking do not load in Firefox but do in Internet Explorer. what shows up at the bottom when I hover over the links are, for example of one of the pages, http://eternalwars.com/help/..\help\Help_Skills.php which gives a 404 error since it is supposed to go to http://eternalwars.com/help/Help_Skills.php All the pages on that site that use that type of <a href="..\dir\page">text</a> code give 404 errors.

  • Hi. I am using a time capsule for few PC s. I have made 5 different account to access time capsule. but in windows when i enter account name and password for one account, i cannot access other accounts, because windows saves username

Hi. I am using a time capsule for few PC s. I have made 5 different account to access time capsule. but in windows when I enter account name and password for one account, i cannot access other accounts, because windows saves username. how can i prevent this from happenning. I really need to access all my accounts and dont want it to save automaticlly.

Why have 5 accounts if you need to access all of them.. just have one account?
Sorry I cannot follow why you would even use the PC to control the Time Capsule. Apple have not kept the Windows version of the utility up to date.. so they keep making it harder and harder to run windows with apple routers.

  • Firefox cannot load websites when Internet Explorer can.

I have read your article about this but I cannot follow your instructions as the only "tools" I can find to click on is in IE and brings down "internet options", which has an "advanced" tab (not a panel) and no settings tab. Am I misssing something? I am having the same problem on my desk top! Both have just occured in the last 2w. Thanks; Robin

A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

  • I cannot play Pogo games for the past two days, get various reasons and cannot talk to someone who will help

I am a member of Club Pogo and the past two days have been unable to play the games by using Firefox. The most frustrating thing is that I am old, cannot follow ALL of the instructions and feel I need to talk to a real live person to take me step by step to the proper categories so I can once again play my games without all of this hassle. PLEASE send me a phone number so I can enjoy my games.

Pogo games usually use the Java plugin.

Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
*Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe mode start window or otherwise make changes.

  • My iPad isn't working properly. When I try to connect to the internet or follow a link it shuts down and returns to the main screen. Any clue as to what could be causing this? Not my internet connection, I checked that.

My iPad isn't working. I cannot follow a link in an email or connect to a game. It goes to a black screen then back to the main screen. Any idea what could be causing this?

Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings
Perform a "hard reset" on the device by pressing down and holding the home button and the sleep/wake button for up to 30secs. until you see a black screen with the Apple logo, then release.
Then test to see if it solved the problem.

  • I cannot Publish my site after using the Publish Public Site Manager. An error, with no explanation is returned.

The problem we’re having has to do with transitioning our existing Easter I Tunes U site over to an iTunes U Public site as the instructions below tell us to do.
    -          I can access the itunes U Public Site Manager fine with my ID.
    -          I was able to make some changes to our existing site to get it ready for publishing it to the iTunes U public site format.
    -          I can preview our existing site as a new Public Site fine from within the Public Site Manager application.
    -          However, when I try to Publish it I get an error that says :   An error has occurred during the publishing of your content. Try again
Looking for some support to tell me what we’re not doing correctly to migrate our existing site over.

    Here are the answers
Eastern CT State University is no longer in the iTunes U directory .    r
The have not migrated their site to iTunes U Public Site Manager. Starting June 2010 we notified all iTunes U site administrators for any site in the iTunes store that they would need to migrate their existing site to iTunes U Public Site Manager in the future. In Feb. 2011 we notified them that the deadline for migration would be April 2011 and that if they had not migrated their site would no longer appear on the list.
For Eastern CT State University to return to the list, they just need to transition over to an iTunes U Public Site Manager based site. Information on how to do so can be found here -http://deimos.apple.com/rsrc/doc/UsingiTunesUPublicSiteManager/CommonQuestions/c hapter_14_section_2.html#//apple_ref/doc/uid/iTUPSM-CH5-SW2

    Nick Good ?uestion!
I am the New Admin for The University of New Orleans, and after reading the response to your initial question I think we fall into the category of needing to migrate to Public site manager. But looking at the tutorial which is mainly text, I cannot follow the instructions. Do you have a screen shot of what step two because I cannot find the " iTunes U Public Site Manager in the Tools area."
    Thank you!

  • Can't follow a link to the mac App Store

If I click on a link that will be taking me to the mac app store (not the itunes one) I end up at "install the app store..."
I have it installed, I can be logged in and still I cannot follow a link, I end up having to search for whatever I was aiming for manually.
All my software is up to date, my machine is a newish iMac.

I don't have one to hand, sorry, but I will see what I can find.
Okay, just googled one - http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/compartments/id402352687?mt=12
I click on the "view in the mac app store" and it takes me to http://www.apple.com/mac/app-store/?id=402352687  which for me is the Apple page describing the Mac App Store and advising me to download and install it.

  • The steps the users suggest would be great IF I knew what and where the menu is. Please provide something that a new firefox user can follow.

I just need a STEP BY STEP explanation of how to restore the bookmark icon. There is none. I read all the replies in the community. They list a string of steps that a new firefox user cannot follow. I just want to access a bookmark. I do not know where the menu is. Please do not tell me to watch another video. I need something that I can do now!

Which bookmark icon are you referring to?
Is that an icon one the Navigation Toolbar or possibly on the Bookmarks Toolbar or do you mean the favicons (website icons) that appear next to a bookmark on the Bookmarks Toolbar?
What action did you get when clicking this button?
Note that some icons may not appear when the menu bar is visible or possibly the Bookmarks Toolbar.
    *Firefox menu button > Options
*View > Toolbars (press F10 to display the menu bar)
    *Right-click empty toolbar area
Use Toolbar Layout (Customize) to open the Customize window and set which toolbar items to display.
*check that "Bookmarks Toolbar items" is on the Bookmarks Toolbar
*if "Bookmarks Toolbar items" is not on the Bookmarks Toolbar then drag it back from the toolbar palette into the Customize window to the Bookmarks Toolbar
*if missing items are in the toolbar palette then drag them back from the Customize window on the toolbar
*if you do not see an item on a toolbar and in the toolbar palette then click the "Restore Default Set" button to restore the default toolbar setup
