Cannot get a connection between my iPod and my iTunes

I FINALLY managed to get iTunes installed on my computer(an older version) and now my itunes won't connect to my iPod.
iTunes recommended that I update to version 9, and now I am recieving this error message:
The iPod administrat cannot be used because it requires iTunes version 8.0 or later. visit www.apple.com
now what?

I have had my ipod for a while now and have a bunch of songs however, recently when i open my itunes none of my libraries and hardly any of my songs show up yet all of them are on my ipod currently just not my itunes, do you get what im saying?.. when i connect my ipod it says.. it would of, but I was impatient and thought that my computer had frozen and unplugged my iPod too soon. I pluged it back in and all of my songs were gone. But I used to have two computers, one I would sync it on, and when I needed to charge my iPod and wasn't able to use the computer that I used to put music into it, I would just click cancel and it didn't replace my songs with the ones in the library. So it should work. Just make sure you don't accidently click the option next to 'cancel'!

guys when i pluge my ipot to my computer and open itune it appear on the itune with my computer screen "iTune has detected an ipod that appear to be courrupted. you may need to restore this ipod before it can be used with itunes. you may also try disconnecting and reconnecting the ipod.

If you take the iPod back to where you bought it they will probably send it to a ASC but if you want to do it yourself here are some ASC's in your area

I'm not sure about individual store policy but if you bought it from Apple then there will be no error in when it was purchased because you bought it directly from them.

Would something as essential as my keyboard interfere with the connectivity between my ipod and my computer?

I've just tried to update my ipod touch's iOS to 7.1.1 and it simply gets stuck during the upgrade, then shows a error 2003. I've tried trying multiple ports on my PC to no avail; it continued to give me the same error message, 2003. Then out of curiosity, seeing as I installed a new keyboard (one of them fancy mechanical types), I unplugged my keyboard from the back USB ports and voila, my ipod started to download and install the update. Should this happen? I can't even add songs when my keyboard is plugged in. Thank you.

OK.... I've ran into a problem and don't know how to proceed with this.
The 2nd user is set up with their ITunes account and we have successfully purchased a few songs.
What I expected to do was sync their Ipod and have the songs already on their IPod copy into the "new" Library we just set up. However, indications are that if I use "sync", it will erase the songs presently on the IPod and then only put back the few new songs we just purchased. (I tried a few other things but cannot get the songs from the IPOD into the ITunes Library or any other folder to preserve them)
1. If it is even possible, how do I get the songs off the IPod into the newly established Library?
2. If I indeed cannot sync the IPOD / Library - how do I get the newly purchased songs from the Library to the IPOD without erasing the songs already on the Ipod.

When I called Apple (after wating 42 min. for a live person) I was told to run the APPLE Software Update and turn off location services then restart my computer. There were no available updates. The iPod touch I got on Christmas day. The iTunes app was downloaded the same day. Since day 1 I have not been able to connect. After restarting my computer:
From the iTunes app I click on the 'iTunes Store'
A new window opens and I get the following message:
This Apple ID has not yet veen used with the iTunes Store.
Please review your account information
So I click on 'Review' and am taken to a crude screen that says

With an Apple ID, you can download the latest music, videos, and more.
To begin creating your Apple ID, click Continue.
So I click on 'Continue'
A pop up window says:
We could not complete your iTunes Store request. An unknown error occurred (-1202).

And the only option I am left with is to click 'OK'

You can't do that.
And before you decide to store any music that you own on a computer at work, talk to your IT department. Many organizations do not permit it for legal reasons. Standard policies are that anything stored on company owned computers is the property of the company. It could not be legally stored on their machines unless you transfer the licenses and all copies, physical and digital, to the company, meaning you no longer own the music. If they were to be audited and could not prove that they own the music, they would be subject to copyright violation penalties. Just use your iPod when you're at the office if you want to listen to music.

What is the "right" location? I'll assume you mean your app's WEB-INF/lib.
Sounds like your Java code isn't closing statements and/or connections properly, or perhaps you need to increase the number of connections in the pool. I'm guessing it's the former.

Good stuff, except I -- like it seems others -- have multiple email accounts coming into their iPhones (my case, iPhone 5 running latest version of iOS) that until this past Friday evening (September 12, 2014).... worked perfectly, then just all stopped.
In my case, I also lost access to an internet forum I frequent multiple times daily. All worked fine, until things abruptly stopped working the evening of September 12.
Seems like anything with a stored login/password got hosed.
I went into the profiles to make sure my passwords were still there (thought they may have somehow gotten wiped out), but they were there. I re-entered them just in case, no change.
Now just this morning, Sunday September 14, two emails from the same (employer) email account have trickled in. But nothing from the others (gmail, yahoo mail).
Spouse is having same issue on an iPhone 5.

The music sync is one way - computer to ipod. The exception is itunes purchases. File>Transfer Purchases
It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer for just such an occasion. Use your backup copy to put everything back.

Cannot get maile connection to server failed

followed the instructions for icloud set up in apple support for ipad and iphone even deleted the account and then set the account up with the correct ID and password. I do use a different ID than my apple ID for my icloud account. I use my me.com email address. I can get into the cloud on my pc and I can send and recieve email when I log into my icloud account but this fails to work on my ipad and iphone. Attempts to seen or get email on these devices when on a wifi network end up with the message "cannot get mail connection to server failed"

Can't establish wireless connection between the printer and computer.

I recently upgraded my wireless to an Apple AirPort Time Capsule. I'm able to set up the printer via USB cable. And I'm able to set up the printer on the network via the Airport WPA utility. However I cannot establish a wireless connection between the computer and the printer. When I go to the printers window in my system prefereces, there is no wireless printer available to add in the "available printers" menu. Only the USB version printer is listed and of course when I disconnect the USB cable it shows as offline.I've tried all the fixes on HP's support pages. I've tried reinstalling the printer on both the router and the computer numerous times. The only thing I haven't done is reinstall the printer using the "Install Wizard" software that is supposed to come with the printer - (mine never came with it in the first place and of course HP doesn't have it available for download). And when I reset the printer to factory settings, then connect it to the computer via the USB, there is no installation software that pops up. Cant even find the **bleep** thing in "Finder". (I'm assuming that it should show up as some sort of external device.) I've checked to make sure both computer and printer are on the same network. (sometimes my computer will grab a connection with the next nearest network.) I've checked all the settings for the printer via the HTML configuration utility. I've even updated my Macbook software and restarted it multiple times. Note: the printer actually worked for a bit when I first switched routers, but the printer's wireless function went offline several times and then quit altogether. Really frustrated that I bought another HP product thinking this time things would be different. HP is no help unless you want to pay $$ for a phone call. I'm about ready to take this thing out in the desert to use for target practice and never buy another HP product ever again.

Not seeing the printer in "Finder" From what I understand most printers will not show in Finder unless you install a memory card into a supported port on certain printer models, only then will it read it like an external device. The ability to do so depends entirely on the JDBC driver implementation having some proxy method. It needs to recognize the HTTP or SOCKS proxy and use them to connect, and the firewall and proxy need to allow those specific port connections.
To the best of my knowledge, all of these update utilities, e.g. live update for Netscape, Norton, etc., do not connect directly to the database. As it is, no sane security person would allow a database to be exposed to the Net. Rather, they connect using HTTP or HTTPS, which normally traverses firewalls just fine, to connect to a Web or application server on the far end. That application server then parses the request and retrieves whatever it needs to from the database.
In other words, you cannot have a 2-tier client/server application. You need a 3-tier application:
your client -> Web/app server -> database
where the connection from your client to the Web/app server is over http or https through the firewall and proxies.
