Cannot get a pdf disc to open and download documents

I have a cd that has pdf documents on it. This was made in 2006. In 2010, my hard drive crashed. I have the latest version of adobe reader on my hard drive and it will still not open. Is there any way to retreive the pdf documents and save them to another cd-rw?

If you cannot get the disk to open in Windows Explorer, you may be out of luck. At any rate, this is a Reader forum but you want more of a tech forum for this sort of thing.
If that is not what is happening, maybe you can give us some more details.

I am reading all the files in a KM repository using webdynpro. I am able to open and save all files except PDFs. However I am able to open the PDF before uploading to KM and also using the KM interface. But when i download it using the Download UI in Webdynpro it fails to open. I understand that it is an encoding problem during the retrieval. I used the Resource property to set the type in the Download UI.
Can anyone tell me how to get around this?
Server WAS NetWeaver 2004s.
NetWeaver Studio 7.0.07.

I am not sure, but i think you should create a Input or OutputStream to upload / download a pdf. Maybe this tutorial is helpful.

I don't know if we can help you. This is almost certainly the wrong forum, but perhaps we can help you there too. Let's start with some questions
1. What software (app) are you using to try to open the PDF files, including version number if you know it?
2. If you are using a browser, what is it?
3. Are you on Mac or Windows?
4. Is the PDF file on your hard drive (own computer), on a web site, or somewhere else?
5. What EXACTLY happens when you try to open the PDF? If you get a message, what is the message IN FULL?
Please answer all questions carefully.

Issues (1) and (2) are not likely to be connected.
(1) What happens when you double-click on a PDF file?
(2) What is the exact error message?

Do you have MacKeeper installed? If so, you need to uninstall it. There is a known issue where MacKeeper disables all the sharing functions from the new iMovie.
Uninstall MacKeeper, then re-install iMovie.
Keep MacKeeper uninstalled.

It sounds like an issue of trying to run XI on VISTA. That combination does not work. Info on both the Acrobat full version (including sub-version) and OS would help. It might also be an issue of running 11.0.0 on a system that needs the updates to work.

Suddenly the computer stoped reading DVDs and the only time I can read a CD is if I restart. Quite often when I insert a CD it gets stuck and I cannot get it out until I restart and it shows up on the desktop where I can then eject it.
I have checked and double checked the finder prefs and all looks normal showing a check mark on CDs,DVDs etc. (the ones I want to show up on the desktop)
I have reset the PEAM, repaired permissions with both the disk utility on the computer and the disk utility when I start up in the Recovery Disk. I did notice that sometimes the permission repeat the same correction several times before it moves on, and sometimes it doesn’t. I have Windows installed on a partition but I keep it unmounted until it is needed for my wife’s work. The dock seems to be just fine and all the apps seems to run just fine. When I insert a photo CD iPhoto does not open but when I insert a music CD iTunes does open.
Also, most every time I open iPhoto it takes a long time(sometimes as long as 2 minutes) for it to load.
Sometimes my Mail (Mail 5.3) does not post new mail but most of the time it does.
Once and a while it seems like the computer slows way down but then it seems ok ten minutes later.
All of these ‘things’ seemed to have happen suddenly and I have not downloaded anything from the internet in some time.
Of course the warranty and extended warranty are both no longer in effect having had this computer for more than three years.
I am running Java and Adobe Player because some of the sites I go to a lot require both.

I believe that insufficient RAM may be the source of some of your problems. If you have a RAM of somewhere 4 to 8GB, you will experience smoother computing. 3GB doesn't seem right, so you might want to learn more by going to this site:

I don't know what know what's happening with your optical drive, but it seems you use your drive quite a bit. In that case, look into a lens cleaner for your machine. It's inexpensive, works quite well.

Look in the print dialog for a check box that says "print to file". Deselect it.

PDF Pack is a conversion tool which would convert PDF to different formats and vice versa. It cannot be used for reading PDFs.
If you want to open and read PDF file you can use Adobe Reader.

Excel service and OWA - getting ERROR while trying to open/edit Excel documents

We have configured SharePoint 2013 with Excel Service and OWA (Office Web Apps).
After configuring, we are able to view/edit Word or PowerPoint documents from the browser (as OWA is configured). But we are getting errors while trying to open/edit Excel documents.
We are not able to view/edit the excel workbook from the browser (through OWA).
To open the excel in the browser, decision has to be taken at the farm level on what to be used – Excel Service or OWA Server? Is it possible to do setting at site collection level?

How can I change this, especially on my Macbook pro? There is no p/w related to it and even though I tried to reset "password" it won't allow as the id does not exist, neither does the email associated with the old id. How do I switch it to a newer id?

It's all rather odd because the old account cannot 'no longer exist' - if you don't have the correct password you won't be able to get into it, but you can't actually delete an iCloud account from the server.
I'm afraid you will need the services of iCloud Support. If you currently happen to have AppleCare, either because you recently bought Apple hardware or have paid to extend the inititial period, you can contact them here:

You will need the serial number of the covered hardware.
If you are not covered by AppleCare, then - in common with other free email services - there is no free support and you may be asked to pay a fee.

Solved my problem having spent hours looking for a complicated answer. Well done Apple for hiding it so well.
