Cannot get access to my Tiscali webmail account with Firefox 5 - no problem with Firefox 4

Trying to log into my Tiscali webmail account I am told I have "undefined new emails" rather than the 33 new emails I know are there (via another laptop). Because the emails are "undefined" I can't get any further. Tiscali mail worked fine with Firefox 3 and 4 so what's gone wrong now?

The problem is caused by Tiscali failing to update their software to work with Firefox 4.0.x
You can overcome the problem by doing the following. 
#In the location bar at the top, type: '''about:config '''and hit Enter. 
#In the filter at the top, copy/paste the following: '''general.useragent.override''' This will display a blank page. 
#Right click anywhere in the blank area and choose "'''New'''" and then "'''String'''". In the dialog box which appears, copy/paste '''general.useragent.override '''again and click OK. The dialog box will remain on screen, but you'll see that name appear above where it previously said "''Enter Preference Name''". 
#Next, copy/paste the following: '''Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:2.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0.1''' 
#Click OK and then go to File | Exit. Restart Firefox again and try and login to Tiscali.
I've uploaded a screenshot for you to illustrate the steps you need to take.

To be more precise: I am talking about the logging-in within the System Preferences on my iMac.
When trying to log in with the old ID, I get no access, i.e. it says "Try again"...-Trying the same with the new one gives me the result I mentioned in my first question...
Now I found out how to do it: I had to erase all accounts-then I could sign in with my Apple-ID. Thanks again.

Since then no acces to apple id, not even via forgot my id site. It says that my apple id and birth date details do not match. Something is obviosly totally wrong. Got a visa card recently, is that the reason? Cannot get a new apple id with my real address as the systems says its already used. Pls help, I am vey frustated that this can happen.

The only way I can think of is setup a mobileme account on any computer (could use the trial account). Once the account is set, configure your iPhone with your mobile me information and it will sync to your account. Get into the internet and make sure all contacts are in mobileme. Then just setup the iPad for the same account.

You can go to the Apple online store and purcahse a copy of Mountain Lion. This will give you a redemption code, which you can use to download Mountain Lion from the App Store. Unfortuantely, I'm not aware of any other way to legally purchase it. I have never seen Apple release Muontain Lion on DVD.
In terms of Apple Service, they just need the serial number of the machine to check the purcahse date. It is usually correct, to within a few weeks. A quick Google search should give you the correct number to dial.

I would delete the account and try to re-enter it. Also, you have to let your firm's IT department know that you want to sync work email on your personal devices before they actually work.

I believe that Lion and Mountian Lion use BootCamp 4.0 and earlier versions used 3.0. I don't use BootCamp but from reading The link below you need to get new drivers, burn a cd and install. Check out #20 on this page.

It is a Total Misconception that the Support files are installed when you are installing Windows, even if the USB drive that holds them is inserted in the system when doing the Windows install.
You must always Run the Setup.exe files from the support files or run the drivers individually once Windows has finished installing and booted to the desktop.
Also you really need to run the Boot Camp Control Panel Applet and check for updates as not all the newest drivers for full function of all the hardware is included with the original support download. That download is basically a generic version to get the system working and without doing the updates not everything will work properly.

Try a reset ( Hold the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons until Apple logo appears). Worked on my phone for other sounds like text and mail being extremely low. Might work for you and is quick and easy and you wont loose any of your data. Good luck!
