Cannot get actual size to stay actual size

Whenever I switch from one page to the next Acrobat forgets all
the magnification sizes, and it resets to 217%, 300% etc.
A different one for each page.
To make everything just open at 100 percent magnification, I tried File-->Properties--> Initial View, set to actual size or 100 percent magnification, then saved the document
But it still doesnt work!?

I have one more question though, and I think this one is much harder.. How do you set the magnification view size of one page in the document independent of the view size of the entire document?
Let's say I need the entire document at 100 percent magnification, but an image on page three needs to be pre-set to view at 75 percent...
is there a way to do that with out using actions (scripts?) or buttons?

Growfs: cannot get partition size

Hi,
I am running Sunos v5.9 and am trying to extend a soft partition from 30gb to 44gb. The slice of disk it is on does not appear to be mirrored and is labelled d2. I ran metattach d2 10g and this completed ok but when I ran the growfs, I got the above error. I have read countless reports of having to use the raw device name and I am doing so, but to no avail. I am running:-
growfs -M /u04 /dev/md/dsk/d2 and get:-
devinfo: /dev/md/dsk/d2: Inappropriate ioctl for device

Can anyone point out what I am doing wrong please?

I am trying to increase the filesystem. I did first
#metattach d37 1G
d37: Soft Partition has been grown
and then
# growfs -M <mount point> d37
devinfo: /dev/md/dsk/d38: Inappropriate ioctl for device

What is the problem, can anyone help me?

Cannot get itunes match to stay in the on position...new iPhone 5...help!

just got a new iPhone 5. iTunes Match has worked perfectly on all my devices until now.
When I turn iTunes Match on in setting, it shows to be on. However, if I back out of that menu and look at it again, it remains off. Quite frustrating, as I cannot seem to get it to work on my great new phone! Any help would be appreciated!

Cannot get my email to stay deleted !

I have a Jetpack and my iDevices connect just fine, so it will work.
On your iPad go to Settings>WiFi>tap on the Jetpack name>Forget this Network.
Reboot your iPad by holdng down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time until the Apple logo appears on the screen.
Go back to Settings>WiFi>Tap on the Jetpack name and try to join again.

Itunes 8.1.1 - cannot get import setting to stay at 128kb/s

Hi,
I've just downloaded the latest itunes, and am having trouble. I set the preference for importing to 128kb/s, as I'm a quantity rather than quality kinda guy. However, every time I insert & import a CD it reverts to default 256kb/s.
I don't want 256, or I'd set it like that.
Can I download a fix for this? Otherwise, how do I get back to version 8.1 please

Haven't heard of that one, but it sure sounds like a bug. You can report it to Apple here.
Meanwhile, if you set the bitrate just before importing, does it in fact import at the correct bitrate?

ICloud and iTunes, cannot get the check boxes to stay checked under preferences for iTunes to keep automatic downloads for iCloud, how can I fix this?

When using my iPhone and Macbook with iTunes, I cannot get the checkboxes to stay checked in iTunes to use the automatic downloads for iCloud. It is so frustrating. I check box them and hit ok under store preferences for iTunes, and when I go back in, they are unchecked. I would be concerned too if my iPhone was not turning off. I'm not sure if you have tried this, but I recommend first trying to reset your iPhone:
Resetting your device
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

Cannot get pdf file to print actual size

I recently had to reinstall my printer and now when printing PDF files I cannot get the page to print in full size. This is necessary because I am printing a pattern and the size has to be accurate. I am not even given the option anymore to be able to do this. I did have the option before the reinstall. BTW the reinstall is because the computer crashed and I had to take back to factory settings. I appreciate any help given. Thanks.

it may only be that the PDF print setup needs to be adjusted for the file prior to printing

Visible panel Size : cannot get it

Hi,
I'm trying to get the visible size of a JPanel (which is contained in a JScrollPane) but I cannot get the correct values.
I want to know what is the visible size (not the total size I can view by scrolling the pane, just the visible when the window is openned), in order to decide how will place the components inside panel. If you see at the image , I want to know what is the size of the orange panel, assuming there is not scroll bar.
If I use getSize, getPreferred size for this panel or for the viewport of the JScrollPane which contains the orange pane, width and height I get are the total width of buttonPanels (>3000px) plus some more pixels and the height of one buttonPanel (120px) plus some more pixels. The same if I use the size, preferredSize of viewPort of the JScrollPane.
I need to know the value of the panels height and width without scrollbars in order to decide how will show these buttonPanels on that panel. I'm trying to get these values after the JFrame.setVisible(true) but get the values I mentioned above. In case I write it this way
        setExtendedState(NORMAL);
        setVisible(true);
        setExtendedState(MAXIMIZED_BOTH);
        redrawMainPanel(getContentPane());the windowState changes two times and the properties size, preferredSize have been updated, so I get the total width of all buttonPanels and the height ~600 wich is the actual height of that panel for my screen. Even that is not enought because firstly I don't want the total width of the panel, but just that I see on the screen when it opens, not by scrolling it. Same for height. By using twice the setExtendedState I can get the correct height but I think if there were many controls so as vertical scroll bar to be shown, I would get a height greater than that of ~600 px I get now.
Is there any way to have just the size of the orange panel you see on the image?

Maybe this can help someone else... I simply had to properly uninstall CS3 and reinstall it again after that. I think that sorted it! I also remember having a similar issue with Macs at work a couple of years back. Not sure whether the same applies to CS5/CS6. It sounds like an issue of trying to run XI on VISTA. That combination does not work. Info on both the Acrobat full version (including sub-version) and OS would help. It might also be an issue of running 11.0.0 on a system that needs the updates to work.

What format is the external?
You can choose the destination of any export in the second screen of the export dialogue.

Getting the size from a model

Hello
How can I get the size of a model (from a *.w3d-file). The
model does not contain the properties width, height or length, so I
guess that I have to measure the distance between the models
vertices.
But I can't seem to think of a good way to do it in. I guess
a loop of some kind? But it would seem rather unomptimized to
actually loop through each and every vertex point in the model I
wan't measured.
Any suggestions?

The closest thing to model's dimensional properties is the
model's boundingSphere property. It gives a radius of an imaginary
sphere that contains all the vertices of the model; the sphere's
diameter is the distance between the two farthest-apart vertices.
However it includes the model's children in the sphere. Set
yourModel.debug = TRUE to see it.
You could loop through each model, add a mesh deform
modifier, go through each mesh[ ].vertexlist, keep track of each
max and min x, y, and z value, the calculate w, l, h from that. It
would take a little time... you probably wouldn't want to do it
every frame. But you could do it on a keypress or something.
