Cannot Get Connection to Work, Please Help!

I just signed up and got the 7500 wireless gateway, set up all the wiring as illustrated (double checked 4 times to be sure).  I have the E4 line going into my computer's jack and its supposed to provide wireless service anyway.  My computer says it recognizes having connectivity, but when I run the Verizon setup CD, it keeps saying it can't connect during the test.  I can't get anywhere on the web with any browser, but I can't see what is wrong.
Before anyone asks, my activation date was last Tuesday.  I could really use some help!

  • Cannot get itunes to work please help

    When I double clik on ITunes it takes ages to start then when i plug my ipod or shuffle in the window opens showing the drive ie. E:\ for my shuffle and i get the following message in itunes " The software required for communicating with the Ipod s not installed correctly. Please re-install ITunes to re-installthe Ipods software"
    I have uninstalled and re-installed, clean out the registry tried selective startup.
    Been without itunes for over a week now any help would be much appreciated.

  • Cannot get SMTP to work, Please Help.

    Hello,
    I recently bought the WVC80N camera.
    The main reason i purchased it was to have motion alerts emailed to me.
    I have been trying all different combination for a week and still get TEST EMAIL FAILED.
    Here are my specifics:
    ISP: Verizon FiOS
    I have a D-link N router setup as an access point that connects to my FiOS router/modem.
    The camera connectes to the wireless on the D-Link router.
    I have tried my ISP SMTP settings,
    I have Verizon email through Yahoo! so I also tried those settings.
    I made a GMX account and tried that, all with no luck.
    Can someone please provide me some insight on how to get this working?

    For the camera to send you do NOT need to open ports, the camera is sending SMTP OUTBOUND, opening ports is for INBOUND traffic.
    So, the issue lies within Verizon and not with Cisco, it's the way you are sending out and that verizon is blocking SMTP outbound unless the FROM address matches the Verizon domain and you are an authorized user with a valid email on there.
    They may also have SMTP port 25 outbound BLOCKED, so you'd have to use an alternate port. Not sure since I don't have verizon.  BUT, there is a solution with something like the TZO OMR service, which is outbound mail relay, allowing your camera to send through the TZO Servers and not Verizon. TZO accepts mail on port 2525 also, which allows you to get around the blocked port 25 from Verizon.

  • Cannot get raid to work please help!!!

    I have a msi p67a-gd80 (b3) board that im trying to configure a raid 0 array on. I have a ocz revodrive 100gb as the main and a WD caviar black 2TB as the second drive. ive been trying to figure out how to run these in raid and have come up short each time. Everytime i try to install the Intel Rapid Storage Technology Driver , it always says my system does not meet the requirments. Im running win7 64 bit.

    Did you check your security software settings, to make sure iTunes can contact Apple servers during the restore process?

    To resolve this, you need to reconfigure the "Oracle Application Testing Suite Helper Service" (OATSHelperSvr) to start as a user who has privledges to run open script tests rather than the default SYSTEM user.
    Reconfiguring the OATSHelperSvr Service:
    1. Open the services panel (Start > Run > services.msc)
    2. Find the Oracle Application Testing Suite Helper Service
    3. Right Click > Properties then select the Log On Tab
    4. Specify an interactive user that has rights to run OpenScript (test by logging in as that user and running tests):
    5. Click OK
    6. Restart the service after dialogs are closed by Right Click > Restart
    7. You should now repeat this process for the "Oracle Application Testing Suite Agent Service" (eLoadAgentMon) Service (Two services in
    total)
    You should now retry running the test in Oracle Test Manager

    If you downloaded it, it's likely in your Downloads folder as a Disk Image .dmg. Just open it and intall Flash player and restart your browser. Everything should work.

  • Gmail Cannot Get Mail...please help!

    My iPhone and MacBook Native Mail apps both stopped responding to my main Gmail account. I have tried everything from deleting and re-adding the account in question, to restoring my iPhone (iOS 4), and setting it up as a new phone. I have checked my account settings through Gmail, and even changed my password. The error message I receive is:
    Cannot Get Mail
    The user name or password for "[email protected]" is incorrect.
    or
    Cannot Get Mail
    The User Name or Password for "imap.gmail.com" is incorrect.
    Again, I have logged in and out of my main account through the website with no problems. I am not sure what to do now.

    I have a similar issue although mine seems to point towards the fault of Gmail.
    I am using mail on 3 different devices
    -iPhone 4 (current update)
    -iPad 3G (current update)
    -iMac 21.5" model (all current updates)
    I use a work e-mail AND a personal e-mail, both through Gmail. My work and personal e-mail addresses have been working fine for quite some time. Yesterday however all of the sudden I am getting the same error "the username or password for "[email protected]" is incorrect". This is ONLY my work e-mail, my personal is still working fine on all 3 devices (which leads me to believe it's Gmail with the problem, not my devices). Not sure what to do and google does not have a support phone # or e-mail that i can find. If anyone can help that would be awesome.

  • I cannot get music to download- Please help!!!!!!!

    I am on the verge of screaming and pulling my hair out!!!! Please help!!! nI got a new laptop and I downloaded my ipod(i think its the 1st gen) onto it. I also downloaded new music on my laptop, when I pulled up itunes to load my new songs onto my ipod I ran into multiple problems. I uninstalled and installed the software multiple times. Downloaded the updated versions and when I connected my ipod it still will not upload the music. I have searched everywhere on the support page, tried everything they suggested. Nothing works. Does anyone have any ideas or had this problem? OR am I going to be forced to buy a new one?

    Here's what I did. I took songs and right-clicked them and clicked "add to playlist" I clicked on the name of my ipod shuffle, and it appeared in the contents section of my shuffle's zone. I made sure that the checkboxes next to the songs were checked, then clicked sync.

    I just got a linksys wrt160n v2 and ive been trying to connect it with my ps3 but when i do the connection test it says that their is a dns error and ive typed in a million different things and nothing seems to work. i've done that whole thing where you go to run then type in cmd and then type ipconfig/all and ive taken all that info and set it in put nothing seems to work. and it also says that my UPnP is not available. I really need someones help. i have a windows xp and my internet provider is comcast. any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

    Call your Router's Manufacturer's Phone Support and have them walk you through setting up your Router.
    However, you should have the Router's Manual in PDF format or Paper that you can read and find out how to do it.

    despite the workaround, it doesn't fix the real problem. It shouldn't be a huge deal for adobe to add support for multiple svn versions. Dreamweaver is the first tool i've used that works with svn that doesn't support several types of svn meta data. If they're going to claim that Dreamweaver supports svn is should actually support svn, the current version, not a version several years old. This should have been among the first patches released, or at least after snow leopard came out (and packaged with it the current version of svn).
    does anyone know if the code that handles meta data formatting is something that is human readable, or where it might be, or is it in compiled code.

    Im trying to connect my hardware synth to Logic but it wont playback any of the notes. I can see midinotes getting in thru the keyboard Im using and the sound is getting thru also, but when I playback a recording of midinotes Im not getting any sound from my hardware synth.
    Ive tried different ways to do this but the most simnple way is to add a inst track, load external device and connect my harware synth via my midi interface and soundcard inputs. But still dosent get any playback. What am I doing wrong?

    Bartimus, I have the same problem. The difference is that I use OS X (MacBook 5,1), have an AirPort Extreme and an AirPort Express. Both are out of work, blinking amber. The moden is OK and I can access internet by wire.

  • Cant get port forwarding working, please help :(

    I bought an airport extreme yesterday, and since then ive been trying to get port forwarding to work. I've set it up before on other routers, and while its always been a hassle, this is the first time where I might just give up and take the router back. I've been searching the boards for solutions, and ive implemented several of them without success, and a call to apple's tech support got me nowhere. Im sure im just using the wrong number or setting somewhere, but I just cant seem to find it.
    One suggestion i read was to set up the routers connection to my modem manually, instead of through dhcp. When I switched from dhcp to manual, i noticed all the prior numbers except dns servers stayed entered, so i wrote down the ones from when it was set for dhcp and typed them in. My manual setup is:
    I.P.: 68.197.191.59
    subnet: 255.255.224.0
    router: 68.197.160.1
    dns: 167.206.245.68
    167.206.245.69
    every other setting i left on the default.
    the dhcp range is 10.0.1.2 - 200
    One entry recommended a static ip. I originally set one up with the dhcp reservation feature, but then another post said your ip should be outside the dhcp range. Not sure if either method is better, but ive set my system with the following static ip:
    i.p: 10.0.1.201
    subnet: 255.255.254.0 (i was unsure what to enter here, so i chose the same as the routers)
    gateway: 10.0.1.1
    in port forwarding i made an entry with 60000 for the 4 public/private tcp/udp and an ip of 10.0.1.201 (i have tried many other port numbers in the odd chance that the one i picked at random might have already been in use)
    I left every other setting on the defaults. The nat settings (a setting im not familier with) is current set for enabled with the default host box above it empty.
    I should mention, my pc is wired to the router. I am using utorrents port checking site, as well as canyouseeme.org. Neither can ever see my port, one simply says not open, the other says connection refused.
    I hope someone out there can help me with this, as the router is great with this one exception, and I'd rather not return it.

    For starters, it's probably not a bad idea to "factory reset" your device since it sounds like you've had a lot of people giving you different advice. This isn't to say that you've been given *bad advice* but, it may make things easier for a trouble-shooter if you start over from a "known" state.
    That said:
    You need to setup manual port mapping. The problem is, when somebody from the outside tries to access your computer, the Aiport (for lack of a better analogy) isn't expecting any visitors; so it turns them away. ---That matches what you are seeing from canyouseeme.org etc...
    Your error was when you "made an entry with 60000 for the 4 public/private tcp/udp and an ip of 10.0.1.201" Essentially all that will do is make a mapping for one port. Port "60,000" which to my knowledge, isn't used by anything.
    You have to tell the Airport specifically what "outside" ports (each and every one) that you want routed to what "inside" ip address.
    I use:
    Public TCP: 22,80,443,27900,13405
    Public UDP: 123,7777-7783, 13405,6881-6999
    Private IP Address: 10.0.1.201
    Private TCP: 22,80,443,27900,13405
    Private UDP: 123,7777-7783, 13405,6881-6999
    This enables: telnet, http, ssh, bittorrent and unreal tournament from the outside and routes ANY AND ALL TRAFFIC from those ports to my PC at 10.0.1.201 on the inside.
    If I ran AIM, or ICQ or one of those things, then you need to add the ports that that system uses to the list also.

    hi i just got an ipod nano it came with the apple ipod + itunes cd, is that the only cd you need? ok so i installed everything on the computer (win xp) plugged the ipod into the usb slot it charged, but all it will say is do not disconnect thats it ive uninstalled everything and reinstalled everything i did the update driver thing, but still all it will say is do not disconnect and it doesnt show up in itunes, and my computer just sees it as a mass storage device, but if i unplug it and turn it on by holding the 2 buttons it works fine but no music so i plug it back in hold the buttons to turn it on it comes on then goes right back to saying do not disconnect, anyone have any ideas?

    It sounds like you are doing things basically fine.
    The "Do Not Disconnect" screen is normal for your iPod to say to you if you connect it to your computer. When you want to disconnect your iPod from the computer, all you'll need to do is a simple "eject" of the iPod:
    Look at the bottom-right corner of your screen, and there's the system tray icons there. If the "Safely Remove Hardware" icon is there, click on it, select your iPod, and click "stop".
    As for your iPod not being recognized by iTunes, does it show up in "My Computer" or not? If it does, try formatting your iPod:
    Format your iPod via "My Computer":
    Go to "My Computer".
    Right-click your iPod there.
    Click on "Format".
    Does the iPod format correctly? Check if it works in iTunes after this.
    If your iPod doesn't show up in "My Computer", then try formatting your iPod via "Control Panel":
    Open Control Panel.
    Click the "switch to classic view" link, if necessary.
    Double click "administrative tools".
    Double click "computer management".
    Under "storage" click on "disk management".
    Find your iPod's listing.
    Right-click on it and click "format".
    Select "FAT32" and start the format.
    See if your iPod it recognized by iTunes now.
