Cannot get default printer to operate correctly

No matter what I do, the default printer is not the one that comes up when I want to print from Pages - is there some switch or setting I need to click besides setting one printer as the default printer?

It's a bug in Pages. It seems that if you make your first save with a different printer, you can never get it to go back to your default printer. You have no idea how disconcerting it is to issue the print command to my 400-page manuscript, and watch it start spewing it out on address labels.

It is an eMac. I have a corrupted font book. How can I fix/re-install/or download a new font book app? Most fonts that were in it work, some do not, but I cannot open it nor can I install fonts into it. This happened after the eMac OS was upgraded from 10.3.9 to 10.4.11 and AI was upgraded to CS2

How to Get Default Printer from ITS

Hi all,
I want to get the default printer name when i run application thru ITS ..
I have function module RSPO_FRONTEND_PRINTERS_FOR_DEV which shows the default printer available in the system but it is in SAPGUI and which dont work for ITS applications.
Does any body knows the function which brings Default printer in ITS . I appreciate your answers . I Appreciate your responses.

With PrintGetPrinters(), I can get all printer in the list. If it is a bug, where to get the patch for 11.5?
My pb build is 11.5.1 4608.
Also, another alternative solution to get default printer with pb 11.5.1?

Cannot get the printer to print

I bought the printer last week, and set it up without a problem. It was working fine. I test printed it with both Google Cloud print, and eprint, and they both worked fine. Then, 2 days later, when I went to print something I actually needed, it would not print.
Upon looking at the printer via website, it says that the jobs are being sent, but its just simply saying Failed. It is not giving any explanation. I have reset the printer to factory default, then reset all of the settings, and I still cannot get it to print. I have reset my computer, my router, unpluged and repluged everything, and still cannot get it.
I have an HP Photosmart 7525. Please help. O_O

If you haven't already tried, it might be worth removing web services from the printer and then re-enabling it. This will generate a new ePrint code for your printer. Then try removing your printer from your ePrintCenter account and adding a new one using the newly generated code. Removing and reinstalling web services is done from the printer front panel.

Mac OSX Reader 10.1.2 – Cannot Change Default Printer From "Any Printer"

With Mac Acrobat Reader 9.x it was possible to use Page Setup to set the default printer from “Any Printer” to one of our choice. Once set it was possible to print many documents without having to go back and reset it every time. In other words it would ‘remember’ the setting.
Mac Acrobat Reader 10.1.2 does not remember the setting of the printer in the Page Setup dialogue and keeps reverting to "Any Printer" between printing; either from the same document or multiple documents. Thus on each occasion I need to print I need to go to Page setup and reselect the printer. Irritating, and time wasting.
Now this would not matter if there were not a slight, but nevertheless significant, improvement in print quality between a document printed with the correct printer and “Any Printer” selected in Page Setup.
NOW, before you all jump in with suggestions read this:
1: I do have the printer selected as the default printer in System Preferences (no difference anyway).
2: Selecting printer in the Print dialogue makes no difference to the print quality. It MUST be selected in Page Setup.
ADOBE, can you please get Mac Acrobat Reader X (10.x) to revert to the same behaviour as Reader 9.x ?

The same problem exists in Reader 11.0 for Mac. In my case, it defaults to our specialty photo printer instead of the workhorse laserprinter.

I cannot get epson workforce to work correctly on imac mountain lion

I have not been able to get the epson workforce to work on imac mountain lion. I first tried using the epson software.
Then read that I should do it from the mac's " printer/scan".
Unfortunately when I get to the screen that says --add printer--- i cannot get workforce to appear.
Can anyone walk me through it?
I have it connected to my netgear wireless router which is recognizing it on their management page?

HP Photosmart Premium 309C cannot get the printer to pick up the photopaper in the Photo tray

I have cleaned the rollers etc this happened after reinstalling the soft ware with the latest CD from HP. I also cannot get an ink status on the computer, it states it is unavailable. I have uninstalled and reinstalled at least 3 times. I have tried using the software that came with the machine, computer will not accept it. using W/7. Dell Precision M6500
