Cannot get facetime to work on etisalat in dubai, uae

Just got a new iPhone 4S from etisalat last week, however, i cannot get facetime to work.  I see no reference to facetime in the settings?  Is there anyway to activate it?

Sorry, no. FaceTime has been permanently removed from all iPhones sold in the UAE, & there is no way to add it back.

I Cannot get FaceTime to work on my mini. It gives me a network error. But all my other devices work fine.

Quite a few people have posted about having issues with Facetime and iMessages over the past few weeks. The update to iOS 8.1.3 was supposed to address those issues and you could try updating your iPad. But the fix didn't work for everybody.
IF you are getting the message about checking your network connection, start with these very basic troubleshooting steps.
Check Settings>General>Date & Time>Set Automatically>On. Make sure that the time zone setting is also set correctly.
If that didn't solve the problem, restart your iPad and try again. If that fails, reset your iPad and try again.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

  • I cannot get FaceTime to work between my new iPad and my iMac any ideas?

I cannot get FaceTime to work between my 3rd Generation IPad and iMac, any ideas?

Not exactly sure about the iMac cause I don't have one. But the email being used on the iPad is at
Settings > FaceTime > You can be Reached for Video Calls at
Below that line there is an Apple ID which is the primary email address being used by the iPad. You can make changes there to change the email address.

  • Cannot get FaceTime to work

I have a Gen. 4 iPod Touch with the latest firmware installed. Several months ago, my cousin and I tried out using FaceTime to call each other, and it worked perfectly. That was the one and only time I tried it. In the meantime I had trouble with my iPod and had to change my Apple password. But now when I try to use FaceTime, it won't work, even though I put in the new password.
I get a message saying that it can't verify my e-mail address and that it is sending me a verification link. But the e-mail never comes. I then logged out of my Comcast e-mail account and tried it again, but still no e-mail.
By the way, my niece has the iPhone 4 and she uses FaceTime by calling the other person's *phone number*. Since my Touch is not a phone, how does she contact me -- via my e-mail address?

    Hi,
Yes, I did read that article -- after making my initial post. However, I tried everything it suggested and I still can't sign in to FaceTime. So I decided to create a new account, but it won't let me use my current e-mail address. Which defeats the purpose because that is the address all of my friends & family use to contact me.
Also, when my iPod tries to send me a verification e-mail, I get a message saying that it can't because my e-mail account is currently in use. How does one log out of a Comcast account? I went into my settings and turned off the account, then went back to FaceTime, got a message saying an e-mail was sent to me, and then turned my Comcast account back on -- but still no e-mail.
Needless to say, this is getting to be very annoying. I know Apple has a lot of safeguards built into these things to prevent thefts, but they are making the experience less-than-pleasant for the rightful owners.

  • Cannot get FaceTime to work on MacBook Air

I have looged into my FaceTime account as ******@Bellsouth.net.  I bought my granddaugter in England an ipad2 for Christmas.  She is looged into her FaceTime account as ******@Me.Com yet neither of us can talk to each other.  We both are trying to connect to the other persons email address as above.
Any idea what's going on?  I called AppleCare but they couldn't help.
    Thanks

I just did a Google search and came up with this excellent article http://www.ilounge.com/index.php/articles/comments/the-complete-guide-to-facetim e-set-up-use-and-troubleshooting-problems/.  I think my issue is with port forwarding.  My modem assigns an address starting with 198 which, according to this article is a "double NAT" issue where the modem assigns an IP addres to my router and then my router assigns a static IP address to my MBA.  Apparently FaceTime cannot deal with.   I will have to try changing some settings within my modem to allow incoming traffic on certain ports that FaceTime uses to be directed to the LAN address of my MBA.  Not too sure how to do that yet.

  • Cannot get FaceTime to work on iPad 3

This is my first apple product. I sign in and it goes to verify email page. Then it goes back to sign in page and I get no email. The one time I got an email and clicked the link it said the email has already been verified. Please help...

Try clearing Safari's cache : Settings > Safari > Clear Cookies And Data (Clear Cache on iOS 4) and also Clear History - you can find your current iOS version on the iPad in Settings > General > About > Version.
If that doesn't work then try closing Safari completely and then re-open it : from the home screen (i.e. not with Safari 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Safari app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
A third option is a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

  • I cannot get FaceTime to work on my iMac.

I cannot send or receive FaceTime from my iMac.  However I can send and receive from my iPhone.

Did you purchase Facetime from the Mac app store? It is not included with 10.6.6 (only with Lion):

P.S. You should also really update your OS to 10.6.8 (run Software Update).

  • HT4245 I cannot get Facetime or IMessage set up on my IPad.  It isn't recognizing my password and Apple ID.  I have tried changing the password a few times and it still won't accept it.  Any ideas?

I cannot get Facetime or IMessage to work on my IPad.  It isn't recognizing my Apple ID or password.  I have tried to change my password a couple times and it still keeps kicking me out of it.  What am I doing wrong?  My id and password work for everything else!
    Can anyone help?

Settings\iCloud - Account is your Apple ID appearing here and is the place for your password full of stars.  The password needs to be the password for the email account - not your Apple password.
Once you have checked this go to Icloud main page and ensure mail is on.
Go to home screen and tap on Mail App - check that you can access your mail and your .me.com email account.
The check settings\General\Restrictions and ensure facetime is On  if restrictions is enabled - alternatively turn restrictions off if you wish.
Both services you require run through the cloud and need an active .me.com account to set up initially.  the default account can be changed from your @me.com later if you prefer.
Also note that once iMessage is active - go to settings\iMessage and ensure your Apple id main email is listed in the Receive at Field.
