Cannot get MAC to connect with SMART TV

I have Verizon router-modem - Samsung smart tv - keep doing tech walk thrus with Verizon and Samsung - they went internal and even pulled my router info - bought tv while re-cuping after surgery - I am wondering if it is router/modem Verizon sent me - (this was a replacement they said they sent me was in 2006 - which they didn't - I bought Linksys -) I feel it is one small thing - has anyone else had any problems with their iMAC and SmartTV - - and I thought it was going to be easy?? -Really appreciate any info -

I set up my Samsung Smart TV recently, and it was straightforward, thankfully. You say you're trying to connect the TV to the iMac - it might just be the terminology, but you should be connecting to the wifi network (I assume you are connecting via wifi, not ethernet) broadcast from the router.
I can retrace my steps as to what I did if it helps. I think the process on the various Samsung's is fairly similar across the various models.

Cannot get printer to connect with new pc

I had my HP photosmart plus B209a hooked up to my old computer via usb cable. All was good. Now I have a new Dell pc and I hooked up via the usb cable but cannot get it to be recognized by the pc. Cannot get macs to connect to network

I have an ongoing issue with wireless connection. Our household has 4 macs: one desktop intel core duo running 10.4.9 3 new macbooks running 10.5. I had a netgear rangemax that worked fine until macbooks arrived and then we were no longer able to send email (connection to smtp server timed out) or were able to use the wireless with more than one computer attempting same. We also would be automatically connected to any other unprotected available network but not our own (which was actual beneficial because we could not access through our own)I found changing router mtu to 1428 worked only when I was connected to our network but because we were always automatically connected elsewhere it was a hassle to have to keep re establishing connection .I corresponded with Netgear tech and forums for 2 months...changed mtu, cycled modem, router, etc...finally, I just purchased an Airport Extreme and cannot connect at all through our network, it will only connect to other networks. I have Any help will be greatly appreciated...I do not know what else to do. I have checked settings. I am told I am connected to my network, light is green on Airport base station , it shows up in all settings. I connect only when plugged directly into base station via cable. Thank you

*meant to write that connection only works when I am plugged into cable modem NOT airport base station.Using ethernet cable fromm base station also does not work

Cannot get mac to reboot with menu for archive save

My iphoto is not working correctly since installing Leopard. Mac genius recommended that I take it home, hit the C key while rebooting...then go into a menu to do an archive save. My computer will not do this...any reason why?

By hitting the C key while rebooting means boot from CD or DVD. Did you inserted the CD or DVD?

Using Chromebox, cannot get P1105w to connect to network

I have a dlink 850L router. I am using Chromebox, so no PC for help in connecting printers, I have a P1102w printer, but I cannot get it to connect with the network. Anyone have experieence with this? The firmware is up to date.

Use WPS to connect the printer to your router:
Press the WPS button on your wireless router, this is the second one of your router, right below the USB port.
On the printer control panel, press the Wireless button (). The wireless light starts to blink.
Wait up to two minutes while the printer establishes a network connection with the wireless router
Once the printer is connected to your wireless router, follow these steps to enable the HP ePrint feautre:

Finally, add the HP ePrint address as a Google Cloud Print to your Google account, that should allow printing from your Chromebox:

NB305 - Cannot get a WiFi connection

Bought a new NB305 today. Set it up (seemingly) OK, but I cannot get a WiFi connection.It recognises my home network, but will not connect. Troubleshooter etc. cannot solve it.
I can connect using a T-Mobile dongle though.
The netbook is running Windows 7 Starter and I have a Belkin F5D8632-4 v1 router. Is there possibly a compatibility issue between Windows 7 and the router? I have checked the wireless drivers on the netbook and both are latest versions.
Having spent the last hour or so searching through this forum and others, and tried various things I am now at a loss.
Any ideas?

In my opinion there shouldnt be a compatibility issue between Windows 7 and your router. Normally you can connect to router with every operating system.
So it would be interesting to why you cant connect. Are you prompted for WLAN password and are you using the right one?
Maybe you did activate the MAC address filter on router so you have to allow the MAC address of NB305 firstly before you can connect.
Have you tried a firmware update for router?

Cannot get mac to send/receive mail through Road Runner

Just got my first Mac today and was setting up my e-mail account and I cannot get it to connect to the road runner e-mail servers. I made sure the pop and smtp servers are correct but I still cannot get it to work. I am using the mac wirelessly but have no problem connecting to the internet. I am using a Linksys WRT54GL router. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I was really looking forward to playing with my new computer but I need to get this fixed 1st.

I am using a Macbook Pro from 2006 (1.83GHZ, 2GB memory) and Version 10.6.7. This weekend I downloaded and installed the security update. ( I waited until yesterday to do Safari and the other one suggested.) It screwed up my mail program, so when I opened it, it welcomed me to my new or updated mail program. Checking under library, I found my old data was still present. I had to follow directions to re-establish my account, and then it "Imported" my data into the account. The new one has get mail in a different location on the menu bar.
However, it continues to ask me for my password to access Keychain. The only work around that was to have Mail download mail every five minutes. Otherwise I have to sign in again. I attempted to work with Keychain, I put the password into Mail's preference file, but that didn't help.
What is worse I discovered a problem with Keychain Access. It claimed the login was unavailable, and I could not directly access it in Keychain. Keychain, however, provides something called Keychain First Aid, which was able to restore the Login.
Now my work around with Mail works. BUT I HAVE LOST MOST OF MY PASSWORDS IN KEYCHAIN. Or they may be hidden. When I couldn't open a critical diskimage, I could not find it in Keychain to manually use it. Now critical files are unavailable. I will add this as a new linke, but I suspect I may be screwed.

Welcome to Apple Support Communities.
It sounds like you're seeing an alert message when opening Mail on your iOS devices. Do you have multiple email accounts setup on the devices? Take a look at the article below, it provides suggestions that will resolve most issues that cause an alert like that to appear in when starting the Mail app.

I Cannot get iMac to connect to AE or TC wireless, can connect by ethernet. All other devices (iPad, Apple TV, Roku, iPhone, iPad Touch) can connect to wireless network without any issues. OS is 10.6.6, both apple TC and AE are current with their software. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

AE=Airport Extreme? or Express? - you mention TC (Time Capsule) above, but, I don't want to assume.

Due to a screen issue, I had my iPhone 5 replaced two days ago. I repeated deleted the mail account and kept adding it but this did not make any difference. When I attempted to setup the new phone with my Google (Gmail via exchange active sync) accounts I was receiving this same "Cannot Get Mail" error. From what I was able to gather, this problem should be affecting Gmail accounts set up via Exchange. When originally purchasing the phone I was assisted and directed to set up my Gmail account through Exchange because it had the ability to use "ActiveSync" and push not only mail and calendars, but all of my contacts as well. I found this article regarding the subject.

What it came down to was having to delete my Gmail via Exchange account and separate it into two different accounts, a regular gmail account for my mail and a CardDAV account for my contacts.
Here is what I did. Google is changing their system and for new registrars Exchange ActiveSync will not work so you will be unable to register your account via Exchange and have your mail, calenders, and contacts all pushed together. I find this change really annoying. If you are having problems accessing your contacts after deleting the mail account, like I was, here is the work around.
To circumvent this issue go to Setting > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Add Account > Other > Add CardDAV Account: Under server ender google.com, then your email user name and password, then click next to verify the information.

I too am getting this message. I have been using my iPad for two years with no problems but a couple of days ago I starting having this problem intermittently. I have restarted the iPad when that did not work I deleted the account and reloaded it. Nothing seems to work. I was having the same problem on my iPhone but that seems to be OK today. I have trouble with sending e-mail and syncing e-mail. Try changing to 1 day sync under settings. It's sluggish but it works for me until they resolve the issue. MS claims all is normal. If you still have a problem you should report it here: https://status.live.com/report/hotmail
