Cannot get migration assistant working from PowerBook to MacBook Air - what am I doing wrong?

Hello out there,
I am proud possessor of a new MacBook Air with Mac OS X 10.7. Up to now, I used a PowerBook with Mac OX X 10.4.11. Although the two macs - old and new one - are connected via the same WLAN network, I cannot get the migration assistant going. The two cannot find each other, although they are only 5 centimetres apart....what am I doing wrong? Do I need an update for the PowerBook? And if yes, which one? Or should I give up?

You'll want to have your husband sign up on the older iPad with his own Apple ID. First, on the old iPad, sign out of your Apple ID:
To sign out of your Apple ID
Go to Settings > FaceTime, tap your Apple ID, and select Sign Out.
Then, sign in with the other Apple ID, and that should work. If it doesn't work after having separate Apple IDs on each iPad, check out the following document where, towards the bottom, there is a "Troubleshooting FaceTime calls" section:

i <3 Homesharing. I enabled it at home, and where I work I use a mac so I enabled it on that computer as well so I can listen to my own music library while on breaks/lunch =)

I cannot get AirPlay to work on the latest MacBook Air?

can the atv see the computers sharedlib?
can the atv access youtube and the likes?
if non of those things then likely the problem is that the atv don't have a network connection

HT2518 Cannot get Migration Assistant to load on PC - keeps saying "repair"

In trying to set up a migration from PC to Mac I cannot get Migration Assistant to load on the PC (XP). It keeps saying I have to repair the MA and try again. I have tried everything I can think of: clear caches, delete and reload MA, shut down virus software and firewall, reboot, etc. Any ideas or direction would be appreciated. Thank you.

No, you can transfer from a Mac wirelessly, wired ethernet, Thunderbolt or Firewire. Your older Mac must have the same connection, but you can use adaptors if necessary. For example, you can use an Ethernet cable with an Ethernet-Thunderbolt adaptor if your older Mac has an ethernet port.
Wireless tends to be pretty slow (can take many hours) so it's recommended to choose a wired connection whenever you can.

I dug a little deeper and found this:
It is the Voice Memos in the Playlist check Box. Uncheck it and re-sync.
It helped this time on my iTouch and my iPhone! At least this time.

You cannot drag anything from the Advanced tab.
Go to the location indicated in the Advance tab, that folder is what needs to be moved.
