Cannot get my comp reset to factory setting no matter what i try!! Please help!!!!

I have an elitebook 6930. I bought it offline used and it had some PGP encryption thing on it and was a part of a network...so needless to say i really have no access to anything on it until I get it restored to factory ssettings...so i found online that i had to decrypt the pgp files then it could be removed, well i decryted them and it still cannot be removed...not an option!
This comps sticker on the bottom say windows 7 pro yet the os on it is old school windows xp!
I want it back the way it came, windows 7 and everything wiped....now here is the issue...I have no access because i am not the administrator of the network it says. I have tried using a windows 7 recovery disc, it boots fine but then get an error when i try to install it....pressing f11 does absolutely nothing. I have went thru every other option there is and cant get nothing to work. Now it doesnt even load windows at all! I tried doing it in safe mode even and it just locks up....PLEASE HELP!!!!

Many business users chose to use the downgrade option to XP until Windows 7 had been out awhile longer ,which may be what happened on your machine. Where I work, most all of the machines still run XP.
Recovery Disks contain the OS and all drivers/software for a specific model. A plain Windows disk contains just the OS.Not sure which you have, but a true Recovery Disk set will not work on any machine.
It really sounds like you have a Windows Repair disk which requires a backup image to repair an installation.Could you confirm what exact disk you have?

Holding the sleep and wake buttons just does a 'soft reset' i.e. a reboot, not a reset to factory defaults. I have a WPF C# .NET 4.0. solution in VS2010 on Windows 7. It contains a WPF hosting project and a WindowsFormsControl project where I've created a UserControl that should display an Acrobat CAcroAVDoc object from the Interop.Acrobat SDK com object (latest).
The WPF Project contains this code to open a file which actually creates a new WindowsFormsUserControl (PDFViewerControl) that in turns opens the file, the UserControl is then added to a WindowsFormHost object in WPF main form.

Unfortunately though the PDF cannot be seen in WPF Host object. If I place a LABEL on the windows forms user control, the label will show in WPF. It seems the OpenInWindowEx is not loading a PDF object onto the user control. Perhaps I need a resize method and event?
I cannot locate any object on the PDFViewerControl user control that resembles a PDF document through debug.
Any help/pointers much appreciated.

On further testing, I found the above code does actually work, BUT the HOST or the VIEWER or the DOC object disappear after the routine is finished. I placed a label on the UserControl and noticed a flicker on the crseen draw which I capture on camtasia the result can be viewed here. http://www.screencast.com/t/Z49gUTb3Xt
Given the label is still around after the file open routine completes suggests the HOST and VIEWER objects are still exposed, just the DOC object resizes to zero height and width or just plain gone.
Without the Label, same result.
Any thoughts on how to retain the display of the CAcroAVDoc object would be much appreciated.

During a recent "***?!" situation, and the resultant complete restore to factory default, my husband's iPad will not update!
Fast forward a few weeks when we get our new iMac and though we were instructed to make different users to allow each of us to use our different devices, we still cannot update his. While my iPad2 updates flawlessly, my husband's refuses to acknowledge there is even an update past the 5.1.1! He's frustrated as you all likely know, apps are beginning to require that the pad is updated as well. I'm feeling some guilt here because mine is working.

I can't get more than one window of Firefox to open no matter what I try. Help!

I recently had a virus and had to do a system restore to about a month ago. After the restore everything worked okay, except for Firefox. Now I can't open more than one Firefox window at a time and the window that is open is having a bunch of problems (right clicking won't open things into tabs, the back button isn't working, etc.). I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox, but that did nothing.

I have followed all the troubleshooting tips related to "lost" bookmarks, "unable to add bookmark," reset the toolbar," and no matter what I try (click on star, click on "bookmark this page") I cannot get the new download of firefox to add bookmarks. When I click on "Show All Bookmarks" nothing appears. The "Library" frame is totally blank.

A possible cause is a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

Resetting an iPhone to factory settigns isn't an issue, you can easily do that by connecting it to iTunes and hitting the "Restore" button. If the iPhone is currently locked to the UK carrier Three, you won't be able to use it with a SIM card from any other carrier without getting the UK carrier to authorize an unlock. I believe that the UK carriers all offer this to their customers but it might cost you a fee. If you are not a customer of Three, you might have more problems getting an unlock form them though.

No, restoring the phone will install the latest iOS version.
If you go to Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings, the phone will revert to its fresh out of the box state, but iOS will not be reloaded - you'll still have iOS 6. See if the problem is fixed, and if it is, load your data back manually.
