Cannot get permissions to work on my Mac

I accidentally erased something in my macbook earlier today trying to free up some space on my harddrive. I think i erased some files in the itunes folder
so now when I sync my Iphone to itunes, it erased all my apps because I dont have permission to have it and when I got to authorize my computer it doesnt allow me to.
I have done all the steps I could find online. I did the disk repair thing and i also went to shared get info and went to sharing & permissions. The only thing I find weird there is I have a folder called unknown read only and i only have me Ready and write and everyone read & write, i keep reading about a "wheel" but i dont have that. I always have tried to add it but i cant.. PLEASE SOMEONE HELP!!!!!!
Oh i also uninstalled itunes and installed it again and Nothing.!!!!!!!!!!!

try this:
check if you have read & write permissions for your music folder. in finder, right-click on it and +get info+. unlock the little padlock (you may have to enter your admin password) and change the permission settings. next, click on the little gear-shaped icon and +apply to enclosed items+ like so
you may also give everyone read & write access.
the important part is to *apply to enclosed items* !

Cannot get PhotoStream to work on the Mac

I'm running Lion latest build, latest iphoto but PhotoStream will not enable. Its on in the iCloud preferences, but for the life of me i cannot get it to work.

Came across the same odity.
Remdey for me was:
1. quit iPhoto
2. open System Preferences and go into the iCloud prefs
3. enable Photo Stream
4. open iPhoto
It didn't seem to work instantly with these steps, I have switched it off once and back on again, but I think iPhoto was open somewhere in the procedure.
No restart was required.

Which version of Firefox were you last using on the old Mac?
You would have had to have been using a Firefox 29 version or higher for that Firefox installation to be compatible with the current version of Sync.

Open Console in Utilities & see if there are any clues or repeating messages when this happens.
Is Spotlight indexing that drive, or is it used by Time Machine?

Several people said that it worked for them but the last is in 2013 so I'm not sure if its older Mac OS systems
I can down load and install fine but when I go to open it I get this error message
ERROR! cannot write to Info.plist, there are permission problems, or you are on a read-only volume.
This cannot run from within a read-only dmg file.
But when I go to "get info" the program says i have "read and write" permission?

Did you install the iDVD Extra Content on the iLife 09 disk when you installed iDVD?
Check in your HD/Library/Application Support folder for an iDVD folder. In it will be the iDVD themes.
Make sure that folder is selected in iDVD's Advance preference pane.
Also run Disk Utiltiy to repair disk permissions.

Cannot get "Airtunes" to work...

I have an APBS with a new Aex set up to join my wireless network. But no matter what I do I cannot get "Airtunes" to work. It will intermittently send audio but not in any way even remotely continuously. I thought I would try changing the channel but there is no option anywhere that I can find except for the APBS itself. What's worse is that the Airport Utility only picks up the Aex about half the time even though the green light is on. I've never had so much trouble with an Apple product before. I must be missing something here....
FWIW, I have a Mac Pro with no wireless that is connected via ethernet to a netgear router. The APBS is also connected to the router and appears in Airport utility with no issues. I also have a Macbook Pro which can "see" the APBS all of the time but the Aex only occasionally. I have reset the Aex and reconfigured it several times to no avail. Possible I suppose that it is "broken" but I am hoping I am just overlooking something....

Ok, thanks for clarifying your networking equipment for me. I assume that you have the 802.11g AirPort Extreme Base Station (AEBS) configured as a bridge to allow the Netgear to provide both NAT & DHCP services for the entire network ... correct?
If so, then streaming from the Mac Pro would go something like the following: Mac Pro > Netgear > AEBS >>> AXn, where ">" represents a wired connection and ">>>" a wireless one. The "weak" link may be the wireless one between the AEBS and the AXn.
Since the AXn is joining the AEBS' wireless network, you will not be able to change the radio channel on it because it is performing like any other wireless client on the network. Instead, you would change the radio channel on the AEBS. If you don't already have it, I suggest downloading a copy of iStumbler to calculate the SNR at the location of the AXn to see if it is getting a strong enough signal from the AEBS for a solid connection. iStumbler will not run on Snow Leopard, so you will have to run it on the MacBook Pro. SNR = Signal - Noise. You can get these values from iStumbler. You will want a SNR of 25+ at the location of the AXn. Using the MacBook Pro, I suggest taking measurements near the AEBS and then along the way until you get to the AXn. You may find that moving the AXn just a bit in order to get the best SNR value.
You can also use iStumbler to determine if there are any competing Wi-Fi nearby; note their channel(s), and signal values. Then, if appropriate, choose a channel for your network at least 3-5 channels away.

Actually, if you're experiencing problems with an addon/extension, you would better off asking the developer about it since Mozilla nor us volunteers have anything to do with the extension not working. I would suggest Safe Mode to see if that addon is being conflicted with by another addon but I don't want to give you wrong steps.

If Firefox opens up fine with no problems, it's probably one of your extensions that's causing the issue. You can re-enable your add-ons one by one until you find the one that causes the issue upon being re-enabled.

Thanks for the suggestion, Chris. I actually did not resolve the issue which is why i did not post an answer.
it turns out that my iphone seems to default to an incorrect User ID (it defaults to an @me account, which is not something that i have ever used).
even when i change the User ID in my settings for the iTunes store, it still appears when i attempt to get updates for my existing apps. however, it does seem to use the correct ID when i attempt to purchase new apps.
If someone actually had an answer to correct this, i would love to update my existing apps.

Don't use Multiple Speakers option and just choose the AppleTV
What are you trying to Airplay? If it's iTunes content it's simpler to 'pull' the stream from the Computers icson on AppleTV by selecting the libarry and media.
If you are attempting to Airplay the desktop you can't.

Along with your OS and applications installation DVDs, you should have gotten an LE8 installation DVD along with its manual and serial numbers when you bought your iMac.
Your license allows you to install LE8 on two computers as long as they are your computers, you are the sole user, and you do not run Logic on both simultaneously. So dig out your installation DVD, install it on your MacBook Pro and enter your serial number and you will be good to go.
