Cannot get questionnaire HTML string SAP CRM 7.0 EHP3

Hello,
We are trying to use questionnaires in Activities and it doesn't work.
This error : Cannot get questionnaire HTML string is shown.
I checked Note 1600561 - Changes done in values template XSLT not taken into account, but it isn't valid for our release ( EHP3 )

We used the questionnaires (questionnaires was displayed and worked) but we faced issues with the display in web UI (only when the questionnaires are linked to an activity/opportunity). The Admin screen for questionnaire works well).
We have implemented the following notes in order to correct this displaying issues :
- 1858059 : Upload the CRM_SVY_GENERATE_BSP_TEMPLATE.ZIP, refresh cash and generate all surveys
And then notes mentioned above
- 1914885 & 1944288 in the relevant order.
But we cannot display anymore the existing surveys (They are active, all scenarios are flagged).
Error message : Cannot get questionnaire HTML string
Any Ideas how to proceed to solve ? (we work on EHP2)

Cannot Delete BP Relationships in SAP CRM 7.0 - intermittent error

Hi Everyone,
We are running SAP CRM 7.0, SP08. We are trying to delete just the relationship "Contact Person" between an Account and a Contact in CRM. Sometimes when we do it everything works just fine and the relationship is removed in CRM and the Contact Person is deleted in ECC. Other times we are getting the following error: "Address is still being used and may not be deleted." If we expand the error, we are getting the following:
Diagnosis
You tried to delete a BP address. This BP is still being used somewhere in the system, meaning that you are not permitted to delete this address.
System Response
Error message. The BP address is not deleted.
Procedure
Look at the where-used list for the BP address. If you still want to delete the address, change the reference to this address in the applications affected. In most cases, if applications other than maintenance of business partner itself are affected, you can navigate directly to the corresponding application from the where-used list (by calling the context menu with the right mouse button). You can then try again to delete the BP address.
Note
If a business partner is merely moving, you only need to change the actual address details. All references are automatically transferred to the new address.
We have tried several scenarios and have not found a consistent result. For example, we can create Activities in CRM, Quotes and Orders in ECC, using the Contact, and then when we remove the relationship it all works as we expected and removes the relationship in CRM and deletes them in ECC. However, for another Contact this does not work. It does not seem to matter if the person is the "main contact" in ECC or not, whether we have flagged them as the Main Contact in CRM or not, whether they have lots of transactions or none. The only thing that does seem to be consistant is where they were created and the relationship defined. It seems if they were created in ECC it does not work, but if they were created in CRM it does work.
I looked at SAP note 830239, but it does not apply to CRM 7.0.

Getting Runtime Error on SAP CRM system TSV_ILLEGAL_REFERENCE

     Short text
          The reference to an internal table is destroyed.
     What happened?
          Error in the ABAP Application Program
          The current ABAP program "SAPLBUPA_SELECT" had to be terminated because it has
          come across a statement that unfortunately cannot be executed.
          The administration data for the access to an internal table can no
          longer be interpreted.
     What can you do?
          Note down which actions and inputs caused the error.
          To process the problem further, contact you SAP system
          administrator.
          Using Transaction ST22 for ABAP Dump Analysis, you can look
          at and manage termination messages, and you can also
          keep them for a long time.
     Error analysis
          This is probably an erro in program "SAPLBUPA_SELECT". The administration data
           for
          accessing an internal table was probably destroyed by a memory
          overwriter. Such a memory overwriter is usually caused by one of the
          following programming errors:
          1) A dynamic ASSIGN with too great an offset and/or length specification
             was positioned beyond the end of the source field used in the ASSIGN.
             In the next write access to the corresponding field symbol, the
             system wrote past the limitis of the source field.
          2) A DO ... VARYING loop with an incorrect increment or too large a
             number of passes can also be positioned beyond the limits of the
             structure and be overwritten.
          3) In using the statement ASSIGN ... CASTING a memory area was
             interpreted with a different type and consequently overwritten.
     How to correct the error
          Probably the only way to eliminate the error is to correct the program.
          If the error occures in a non-modified SAP program, you may be able to
          find an interim solution in an SAP Note.
          If you have access to SAP Notes, carry out a search with the following
          keywords:
          "TSV_ILLEGAL_REFERENCE" " "
          "SAPLBUPA_SELECT" or "LBUPA_SELECTU03"
          "BUP_BUT000_SELECT_WITH_GUID"
How to resolve this issue, can u pls help me.

it's not the ume, it's the com.sap.portal.usermanagement.admin package.
In order to redeploy it, go to following directory:
<drive>\usr\sap\<SAPSID>\JC<instance number>\j2ee\cluster\server0 \apps\sap.com\irj\servlet_jsp\irj\root\WEB-INF\deployment\pcd
look for the com.sap.portal.usermanagement.admin.par.bak, remove the suffix .bak and restart your engine.
Don't know of this helps, but maybe it's worth a try.

Net Value gets populated if you have pricing information maintained on the Product and the Opportunity Item category has Pricing Enabled.
Based on the pricing conditions maintained the Net value get populated on the Opportunity.

Some question about SAP CRM consultant

Dear all,
      I'm a center-based consultant in china.Our company is among the first batch to run SAP CRM in china in 2006.Our version is CRM 5.0.From my two years' working experience,the status of using CRM in our company is not very good.Complex UI,sychrorize problem makes our partner not willing to use this system.
     I used to do some ABAP developing then i began to transfer to MM&SD.CRM work is the recent thing.During some months' work in CRM,i found i am more interesting in CRM.
    I want to find a new job in outside consulting company in future.I want to focus on CRM.One aspect is that i'm interested in CRM.The other is that CRM is a new product and there is not so many people doing this.However,i seems getting some worries.First,SAP CRM seems not quite mature just from my understanding in 5.0 version.We need to develope a lot not just using User-exit.I don't know whether 7.0 has changed a lot.I've seen the UI of 7.0.It seems much better.But is it means more company will choose SAP CRM 7.0 other than Siebel?In china,there seems not many CRM projects now and i don't know the status in other countries.Second,CRM may have much differences from ERP implementation because there are many process which can't be solidified.
   In one word,i'm worried about CRM consultant's future.And i hope gurus to give me the answers.THx.

It would be very intersting to clients as well as consultants to work on SAP CRM. Career wise you have ample opportunities in the same. With the advent of various features in CRM 7.0 version, SAP is now more user friendly and is easy to implement with lot many processes covered as a part of vanila offer.

Attachment Handling in SAP CRM 7.0 EHP 3.0

We are in the design phase of an SAP CRM 7.0 EhP3 implementation project. In the current landscape the legacy system for customer service (CS) management uses an external shared fileserver for storing attachments from the CS system. However we plan to decommission this external content server as it does not support good security features.
Storing attachments in SAP CRM via content management - can SAP CRM content management support large files? What is the maximum capacity per attachment and also the overall maximum capacity that SAP CRM content management can support.
We have "heard" that SAP does not recommend storing attachments within CRM, but rather in an external secure storage server. Is this true? Is yes, what would be the best approach to store and read attachments from SAP CRM?

Facebook and Twitter are officially integrated into SAP CRM 7.0 EHP 3. Not LinkedIn though.
You can use a custom solution in EHP2. Example is provided in SAPPress book SAP CRM: Techical Principles and Programming.

CRM 7.0 EHP3 Installation Export CD problem

Dear all,
we are installing SAP CRM 7.0 EHP3 on MSSQL 2012.
We do encounter a problem with the installation Export CD.
SWPM is SWPM10SP05_2-20009707.SAR - SP5 PL 2, Kernel is 741 (Material Number: 51048107_8).
Installation Export Material Number are respectively 51047869_2 and 51047869_3.
When asked for Installation Export CD, we input the right path, but SWPM tells us that he is expecting another CD:
You entered: E:\CD SAP\EXPORT\DATA_UNITS\EXP1 Found the label SAP:CRM:SR170EHP3:EXPORT(1/4):SAP CRM 700 EHP 3 SR1 Installation Export CD 1/4:CDxxxxxxx_1 but need the label SAP:CRM:70EHP3:EXPORT(1/4):*:*
It seems that he asks for an older version of the Export CD.
Has anyone already had this issue and can advice how to solve it?

as per note 1998693 - Sapinst Error: Found the label SAP:UT:SR1740:SP05:*:* but need the label SAP:UT:740 for a similar "issue" we had installing Process Integration today, we have just realized that there is a specific section in SWPM for SR1:

Cannot get the parameter from a HTML page at the first time

I have a html page with <input name="username" ...>, and the submit action is a url to my JSF web application. In the start page of the JSF webapp, I use following code to get value of username.
FacesContext facesContext = javax.faces.context.FacesContext.getCurrentInstance();
String userName = (String)facesContext.getExternalContext().getRequestParameterMap().get("username");
However, I cannot get it at the first time. The strange thing is if i click "refresh" button, the value of username is shown up on my page.
Why? and How to solve it?

We resolved the issue. It was Genesys config. It was defined as user defined seating instead of free seating.
