Cannot get the batch processing to work in PSD CS4
Hoping someone can help me in PSD CS4. I took 3000 photos of parts and now the customer wants me to add a watermark. I created a watermark in record actions where I copied and pasted the watermark from an open document into an open part photo, then reduced opacity of watermark now inside the photo to 25%, then flattened image, then saved it as JPG. You can see the recorded actions below:
Next, I went to batch and set everything up there:
...but as you'll see I keep getting that "specify the extension" but i thought i already did by adding .jpg in the field and also the recorded action was a save as jpg, so I'm not sure why it isn't working.
One other thing - I must keep the newly watermarked image the same name as the original. For example if the original is K-100-01.jpg then the new one must be the same. However, if I need to add a number to it like K-100-01-0000.jpg that's fine too.

I cannot get the Output Module to work. I was able to get the button to show up, but when I click on it, nothing happens. i need to export a PDF asap. I am trying to export 33 PSD files in BRIDGE to a PDF like I used to do on my other computer with bridge.
Let's start with the general things.
When you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.
(1) Bypass Firefox's Cache
Use Ctrl+Shift+r to reload the page fresh from the server.
Alternately, you also can clear Firefox's cache completely using:
orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced
On the Network mini-tab > Cached Web Content : "Clear Now"
If you have a large hard drive, this might take a few minutes.
(2) Remove the site's cookies (save any pending work first). While viewing a page on the site, try either:
* right-click and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
* Alt+t (open the classic Tools menu) > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
In the dialog that opens, you can remove the site's cookies individually.
Then try reloading the page. Does that help? -
Since upgrading my iPhone 5 to ios 7, I cannot get the internet, email to work on 3g. I get the message ""could not activate mobile data network. You are not subscribed to a mobile data service". How do I fix it?
I've contacted o2, tried all of their suggested updates and changes, reset my phone 3 times and still no luck.

I am using the trial version of CC and cannot get the auto blend layers working despite following many videos on youtube etc. I have selected all layers but no matter which order I select etc all I get is an output of the first file in the stack - help!!

On Apple TV, my pictures have loaded, but I cannot get the slideshow function to work. It has been "loading" 28 pictures for five minutes. What am I doing wrong? I have Windows 7 on my PC.
I don't have any direct experience with D-Link equipment, but I may be able to provide some general advice. See if you can use a Web browser to connect to the D-Link's configuration screen. This probably involves visiting a URL such as http://www.192.168.0.1 . If you haven't changed the sign-on parameters, a quick Google search should find them for you.
Once there, note as many configuration details as you can find. You'll need those to configure your Time Capsule.
Use the AirPort Utility to configure the Time Capsule.
One last thing: It's quite possible that the Verizon network will have locked onto the "MAC" address of your D-Link router. Something needs to be done to reset this. If there's a separate box at your house that came with the FIOS equipment that's "upstream" from the D-Link router, I'd cycle power on it to see if that does the job. Otherwise you'll probably need to call Verizon to ask them to reset things once your Time Capsule is installed in place of the D-Link router. -

Anyone else having the same problem, not sure if it's my ipad 2 or the software's problem?
It keeps saying "Speech recognition not available. Check network or try again."
All my other apps work fine through Wifi and and Google Search and Chrome works fine through speech recognition. Strange.is this a 3rd party application?

Cannot get the Oilpaint Filter to work
I own CS6 and just downloaded the Photoshop CC trial version. I cannot get the oilpaint filter to work in either. I must be missing something. When I open a photo, select filters and then oilpaint - all I get is the grey screen (with the oilpaint tools). But no photo is there for me to apply the filter effect. Any idea what I am missing?

I have tried to install Firefox 13 and 14 on my netbook, running a Windows 7 starter OS. The installation begins to go smoothly from the setup.exe file; but after the installation seems complete, and I press the 'Open Firefox' button the firefox programme can be seen to start opening because it accumulates about 50mb of private bytes RAM on the windows task manager or on the 'process explorer' utility program by sysinternals. '''However the firefox screen/window never opens up and so firefox does not seem to be properly installed.'''' Also I have had problems with getting the Scrapbook" addon to install properly. I have another computer, a laptop, running XP Home, and I can get the Firefox 13 or 14 to install but it is on this other computer that I cannot get the 'Scrapook' addon to install properly; There is no notice on the Addon page saying the 'Scrapbook' addon does not work on Firefox 13 or 14, and the addon does install, but not properly, so it does not work.
I have the old Firefox setup.exe files, and so I have managed to install an old version, firefox 3 or 4, on an external hard drive. I have successfully got this old firefox to work on the XP Home laptop from an external hard drive, and can successfully use the 'Scrapbook' addon in this way.
I cannot understand why I have problems with Firefox 13 or 14. I think I first noticed the problem about 'Scrapbook' with Firefox 12.It seems your Mozilla installation is broken. Try the following steps to fully uninstall Mozilla Firefox:
1. Uninstall Firefox as you would normally do.
2. Open a command prompt as administrator.
3. By using the cd and rd command, remove Firefox AppData and Roaming folders, for example:

C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData> cd Local

5. Restart your computer. Download '''again''' the Firefox package from [http://www.mozilla.org/es-ES/download/?product=firefox-14.0.1&os=win&lang=es-ES Mozilla official servers] and try to install Firefox. If the problem persists maybe your computer has a problem or is infected with viruses.
About the Scrapbook add-on, I could get it to work. It has no icon when docked to the toolbar, but you can anyway open it. Right-click a button on the toolbar, click Customize... find the Scrapbook icon, drag it to the bookmarks bar so you can see the icon and click on it to open it. Whenever you need to save a page, right-click that page and choose Save page. -
Cannot get the Mobile Template to work in SharePoint Foundation 2013
Hello all,
I am trying to get the Mobile View to work in SharePoint Foundation 2013. When I access the site on any phone it gives me the following error:
"Cannot complete this action. Please try again."
The URL it forwards me to is "http://<sitecollectionurl>/_layouts/15/mobile/mblwpa.aspx?Url=%2Fdefault%2Easpx
So it seems to me like it's working, but there's something wrong with the template. The template has definitely never been modified.
Can anyone help?

VinnySo I've got some more info for this issue. We are seeing:
Control template "Mobile_STS_HomePage_Redirect" does not exist.
Control template "Mobile_1_HomePage_Redirect" does not exist.
Does anyone know how to enable these? I tried by name, but it doesn't find them. This is the error I get:

I have taken the firefox updates when offered to 4.4. I have the browser as an aside to Internet Explorer 9 as a backup browser. When I use Firefox I am being told my system is not up to date and I need a newer version. I download the version and keep getting told I am not current with firefox. When Firefox DOES work I cannot get any printer icon or settings to enable and allow the printing of a page. I have to use IE9 to get the printer to work. Using eBay I cannot get the uploading of pictures from my computer to consistently operate even though I use small JPG files under 500KB.

I need help getting the iMessage feature to work. I've done the fix that is shown online several times and still cannot get it to work. Are there any other suggestions out there to fix this problem?

So your iPhone is on a Wifi network ?
You have gone to Settings > Messages and Enabled Messages.
You cannot then send iMessages from your iPhone Number ?
You should be able to sent to other iOS devices that are using other iPhone Numbers or Apple IDs or to Macs that are running Messages with the iMessages account enabled and those may also be using iPhone Numbers or Apple IDs depending how they were set up.
On the iPhone in Settings > Messages you can then add an Apple ID
You can then chose to Send from the Apple ID or iPhone number as the Start from option.
Adding the Apple ID links the Apple ID and iPhone Number and if you have a Mac, and are running Messages with the same ID, they will sync (Display on all Devices) all the subsequent iMessages you receive.

Cannot get the optical out to work
I have a new Apple TV 3rd gen and mainly lovin it. Bit, I Canon get the optical out to work with my reciever. I have trind severeal cables, i have connected correctly and configured the reciever to play correct optical in bit still no sound. I have a Onkyo TX-SR 500e. Amy hints would be appreciated but i would prefer not to buy a new reciever...

Have you tried adjusting the "Audio Out" and the "Dolby Digital" settings in settings > audio and video? It may be worth trying several combinations of these settings, although typically it is the "Dolby Digital" setting that causes most problems for users.
Also make sure that you have correctly mapped the input port on your sound system to the output, if you are unsure about how to do this, refer to the manual that came with your sound system.
Have you tried playing various content sources (i.e. podcasts, music, iTunes Store video, other video etc), do you have the same problem with all types of comments? You might also check that you can see a red light at the end of your optical audio cable. Is your optical audio cable plugged straight into your sound system, or does it go through a switch or other device? -
Tecra A11 - Cannot get the FN buttons to work on Win 7
I had to do a new install of Windows 7 on my Tecra A11.
Everything works fine but, I am finding that I really really miss the ability to turn the trackpad on and off and turn the wireless on and off.
I'm guessing that the only way to do this would be to reinstall that program that connects the FN key to the numbered Function Keys.
I don't know what to call it so I don't know what to search for. I do want to be careful and not install more than I need.
Is there a program or way I can get this function reinstalled?

p.s. On this fine forum, I found how to turn the track pad off when a mouse is installed but if I don't have a mouse attached and this is turned off, I'm kind of in a mess :)Hi
The FN buttons are controlled by VAP (value added package) and the Flash Card Support Utility.
Install the VAP firstly and check if the FN buttons would work. If this is will not work then you should try also the Flash Card Support Utility to get this FN buttons working.
The Flash Card Support can be found in Satellite L500 or other later series
