Cannot get to startup menu options

Hi there,
I bought a used HP Pavilion g6 series notebook, but turned out that it has a password, so I created a CD to overpass it, the thing is that cd is not stating by it self on startup, so I tried to go through the startup menu and change Boot device options, and here was the problem !! I have to press F9 to Access it but its not working , I tried all other options on the startup menu but nothing is working. What can I do !! pls help, I'm not an expert and don't understand big words, so pls take it easy on me when you answer : ) .

It is an eMac. I have a corrupted font book. How can I fix/re-install/or download a new font book app? Most fonts that were in it work, some do not, but I cannot open it nor can I install fonts into it. This happened after the eMac OS was upgraded from 10.3.9 to 10.4.11 and AI was upgraded to CS2

I tried it again using "save link as", and this time it actually worked! I just now downloaded several more using the "save link as" option, and it works perfectly. Thanks. Problem solved.

Ran Malware ANTI Malware on windows 7 64 bit PC now cannot get my tools menue on home page

I am getting a lot of survay's popping up on my PC so I downloaded the free version of Malware Bytes Anti Malware, it took out my tools menue from my home page and adobe air aswell as HP smart web print along with some other programs, I have most back now, redownloaded windows
photo gallery and movie maker and adobe air but I cannot get my tools menue back or HP smart web print, I do not think smart web print could be a virus as it was downloaded from HP web site.
Using IE 9, can anyone help please.

A bit of repetition, mainly for the benefit of anyone else with the same issue. In your case the "for older video cards" version might be worth a try.
When cleaning folders you need to check both the Program Files and Program Files (x86) folders, which you may well have done but didn't mention in the detail above.
For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The section Install missing components has advice on breaking down the iTunes installer into the individual .msi files which might prove useful if Apple Mobile Device Support won't install normally.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
The further information area has direct links to the current and recent builds in case you have problems downloading, need to revert to an older version or want to try the iTunes for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) release as a workaround for performance issues or compatibility with third party software.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

Did not deauthorize an old computer and reached the 5 computer liom it. Trying to sync an I phone on a new computer and first deauthorize all old computers. I followed the instructions to click on the I tunes store menu and login to my account and click again on my account, but I cannot get to the menu to deauthorize old computers on my I tunes account.

Did you follow these instructions? Go to the iTunes Store>click your email address at the top right>enter your password and proceed to Account Information>press the Deauthorize All button.

Cannot get to main menu.

Cannot get to main menu. Opens on the music menu (songs, albums, etc.) Can't get to settings, books, etc. I tried resetting by holding down the menu and main circle buttons, but come to the same place. I downloaded a book for the first time and it shows on the device in iTunes but I can't get to it on the iPod.

Use Disk Utility whihc is in the Utilities Folder.
Select your Boot Disk on the left.
Select Verify Permissions
If any errors the do Reapir permissions.
You might have to repeat the process.

I'm trying to get this mega menu to work in DW. the first anchor link works; the 2nd one doesn't and I thought i have all of the coding correct. I have to eventually build more anchor links, but can't get past making the 2nd one work.

The html validates as HTML5 and the css as Level 2, 2.1 or 3. It also functions as expected in all browsers (even IE7, 8 and 9 in Dev Tools). I'm sorry, but from everything I've seen and tested, it's perfectly valid and functional to use position:absolute with an <iframe>.

I think javascript is not working. At least that is what it says on youtube. I cannot get any dropdown menu's in gmail either. I made sure the "enable javascript" is checked in the content tab. Just stopped working.

I cannot do anything in my gmail account, such as reply, forward or get any drop down menu to work.
When I go to youtube it says that either I do not have javascript or it is not enabled. I checked and the box says it is enabled.

You need to connect to iTunes on a computer to update. Direct updates were enabled with IOS 5. I hope you were maintaining a backup of your computer. If you attempt to sync with a new one without transferring content first then all will be erased.
You also need to update the Apple tv to version 5.0.2 (4.4 being the minimum for mirroring support)

Cannot get past startup screen

My dad has the same MacBook pro as me but has been having some serious problems. It's running snow leopard but has recently not been sleeping, when the lid closes it seems to re start itself and cannot be shut down, only restarted.
Then this weekend it fails to get pas the startup screen. The grey screen appears, a progress bar, as if it's updating goes about a tenth then stops, and after a while disappears, then the grey wheel just spins.
I've searched for an answer have have tried the following
Does not boot in safe mode
Does not boot from disk
Reset the pram
Reset the SMC
Booted in single user mode, and it says rebuilding catalog b tree, but cannot do it as erros on HD
Not sure what else to try. Is there a way I can format the drive and reinstall osx? Not bothered about the data on the drive so long as I get it working again..

You need an appropriate OS installer disk to do what you want. If it won't boot from the OS installer disk then you can't do what you want. Bring it to an Apple store or AASP.
