Problem...My disk tray will not accept DVD.
Any suggestion?
PS the tray accepts other disks.

Hi Patricia
Welcome to the list
Unfortinately your tray loader doesn't play DVDs.
it's slot-loaders and later - and then not all slot-loaders - that will play them.

My mom has a brand new Macbook Pro which was set up at the Apple Store and now she cannot get it to accept her log in info.  What should she do next?

Thank you sig--it seems in talking to her on the phone that she was not giving me the info correctly and she couldn't get into her bank account, NOT the computer.  The computer is fine she was just frustrated with the bank's system and feeling alone with no help handy...
I appreciate your reply.  Thank you.

I cannot get apple to accept ant credit card details

Could be any number of things - hard to tell since you haven't provided details.  If this is for a purchase on the app store, the card's address must be from the same country as the store's location.  Could be lots of other issues.

  • Cannot get airplay to accept my @me account name to stream video?

I have bought this device to stream from internet off my All in One and IPad 2 cannot get the airplay to accept my @me account name and when I go to the Icloud and look it up it says it is right name? What the heck is going on very frustrating. Worst experience I have ever had with Apple products so far.

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
Sorry you'll need to describe your problem in a little more depth. What is an all in one, AirPlay doesn't use your @me account, what exactly are you trying to do.

  • I cannot get my password accepted to enter my nnotebook HP G62

I have had the same password since purchase.but now I cannot get my HP G62  to accepr it.
Have tried to correct on F10 but no good.

if its the administration or log in password, you will need to perform a full system reset to remove it, then create a new account, yo'll basically loose everything.
but if its the power on password, which ussually locks even the acces to your BIOS, (you said you can still access the BIOS so its probably not it) you will need to remove the CMOS battery and then just put it back to remove the power on password

  • Matshita DVD-R UJ-875:  I cannot get it to accept blank DVD and CDs.

I have the super-drive Matshita DVD-R UJ-875. I have tried 5 different brands of DVDs they all get spit out. (My Macbook accepts them.) My iMac has some trouble reading a few DVD movie discs, but I eventually get it to go. CDs seem to have no trouble. Just blank DVDs and CDs get spit out. I get one success every about 50 discs to stay in and can burn. I have had the problem when running in Leopard, but not so much so, now I have the problem much more profound after updating to Snow Leopard in September. I switched from PC to Mac because my wife really enjoys video and photo editing on it. She feels very let down that she cannot burn any of her work. I really want to get this fixed. Anyone have any advice? I do have the 3 year warranty, but want to avoid taking it in if possible.

Having the same problem with my MATSHITA DVD-R UJ-875 drive on my Intel 24" imac. It still reads commercial CD and DVD discs, but for some reason spits out 75% of the CD-R discs I put in and now refuses to burn anything onto any blank CD I put into Itunes (on the few it WILL read to begin with). I suppose I will take it to the local authorized Apple repair shop and wait a few days to get it back. This will be the third time I have had it in since purchasing it in 2008. Once to have the defective hard drive replaced, again to have a defective hard drive fan replaced and now this. On one hand I am very glad I bought that $129 AppleCare, but on the other, I am tired of dragging this huge thing around and being without it for so long.

  • IDVD 7.1.2 in OSX 10.8.5 Cannot get to finish burning DVD

I tried two different slideshow templates in iDVD thinking that I had chosen a newer template causing my problem. I know I burned a DVD slideshow successfully last year on my computer and with my current operating system and current iDVD version. But I cannot seem to get the DVD I created to burn...it gets through Prepare and is processing menus when it gets stuck and says: "Error during rendering/encoding" "There was an error during rendering/encoding of menus/slideshows. The burning process has been canceled."
What is going on?! And does anyone have any suggestions on another software that would work to create beautiful slideshows similar to that of iDVD? I've had to convert to another program after iWeb was discontinued for web developing and I feel the same pressure with iDVD. Totally disappointed with Adobe/Apple lately.
Can you suggest a solution for my current problem? or another similar program to use to replace iDVD?
    Thank you in advance.
    Grace

    Hi
I think more info might help - I made a list I used in other questions - Please see if You can add anything to this - just to set us up on track on what's gone wrong.
MANY things might not apply - please skipp them if so.
So many things that can do this.
    a. How many minutes are Your movie ? (movie + menu (can be up to 15 min or even more)
    b. Was there any Error-Message from iDVD ?
    c. What brand of DVD disc
    d. DVD-R or +R or +/-RW
    e. Did You just burn or set down burn speed to x1 (x4 recommended by many) ?
    f. What version of iDVD ?
    g. What version of iMovie ?
    h. What version of Mac OS ?
    i. What version of QuickTime ?
    j. Project PAL or  NTSC in iMovie and in iDVD (or PAL to NTSC) ?
    k. Any strange file formats like .mpg4, .wmv, .avi etc ?
    l. Audio from iTunes or .mp3 ?
    m. FREE SPACE - on internal (start-up/boot) hard disk ?
    n. QuickTime Plug-ins ?
    o. How was it installed ? iLife 6 after iLife’08 or 09 results in severe problems if iL’08 or 09 first been completely removed. (Can be installed after iLife 6 and resulting in a working version of iM HD6 in the folder ”iMovie previous versions”. Most of us have it this way. iM HD6 and iDVD09 are a great combination.)
    p. Did You try to
    - Save as a DiakImage
    - Play it with - DVD-player tool - If OK
    - Burn it with - Disk Util tool and at BURN SPEED set to x2
You see there are so many things that can make iDVD to behave strangely.
    I would
delete iDVD pref. file (alt. start a new User account and log into this)
    start a new iDVD project
secure a minimum of 25Gb free space on internal hard disk
then re-try BUT first make a DiskImage and test this (File menu and down to Save as DiskImage).
and if this plays well with Apple's DVD Player application then burn either via
iDVD (re-calculation is needed = long time)
Apple’s Disk Utilities application - can do this burn and create a Video-DVD
Roxio Toast™ - easy way to do it - but to a cost
Copy to DVD disk via DeskTop - Creates a Data-DVD that WILL NOT PLAY on any DVD-player !

    - click on the Contact Support at the bottom of the left-hand column
    - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page

But I found the fault, the password is case sensitive and mine on sky is in caps, the up arrows on the keypad put the caps on,but after each letter you must put the caps back or it wil revert to lower case, I hope this may help you

  • Cannot get Itunes to accept my new computer as the main one.

My old computer is about to go. I purchased a new laptop and want to make it my main computer, but itunes will only accept me as a home sharing computer. Does any one know how I can make my new laptop the main one so I can get rid of my old one?

You can only have 5 computers authorised at the same time. If you won't be using the old computer you should deauthorise it.
Don't try to transfer your library via home sharing, simply copy the entire iTunes folder (and all subfolders) across the network or via an external drive. If the media folder is not a subfolder of the main iTunes folder that holds the database files (or you have any media in other locations) then these folders need to end up at precisely the same paths on the new computer as they had on the old one, otherwise as long as the media folder remains a subfolder of the iTunes folder all should be well.

  • Cannot get itunes to accept my apple password

have been trying to pay for a Mahjong game from the store but it will not accept
    my apple password.
What do I have to do?

Explain what you mean when you say it won't accept the password. Are you getting an error message? A message that the password is incorrect? You enter the password and there is no reaction on the device?

  • I've put together a slide show and cannot get it on You tube.  I've put the presentation together in Iphoto, then sent it to ITune and I cannot get Youtube to accept it.  On the upload page, Youtube even says just drag and drop. That didn't work.  Help!

To repeat my problem, I've put together a slide presentation and am trying to get it on Youtube...have compiled photos and music under IPhoto, then moved it to ITunes to dump into YouTube, but can't get anything to go thru.  Have submitted two previous slideshows and don't remember ever having this probem.  Am sure I'm doing something wrong.  Anyone have suggestion(s) as to how to get this on to Youtube.  Have been stonewalled for the last two hours.  Thank You.

Sanjam....you are having the identical problem I'm having.  Re the response to your dilemma, I'm gonna see if there is a way to export.  If I figure something out to get on YouTube will let you know and would appreiate you doing the same.

  • Cannot get email to accept my password or username

I have tried to reset my password and I am using the correct username but I get the following message " sending of password did not succeed Mail server pop.earthlink.net responded bad password or user name"

Go to your email providers web mail page and confirm that you have a working username and password. If not, fix them there.
When you have a working password go into Thunderbird and delete the saved passwords and then close Thunderbird. When you restart Thunderbird you will be asked for a password. Enter the new, working password.
Here is how to remove and replace the stored passwords.

If you still have problems it might be incorrect server settings. Get a current list from your provider and compare those with what you have in Thunderbird.

  • Cannot Get MobileMe to Accept Me

I run this eMac in order to use a Canon scanner (9900F). Canon did not update drivers for 10.6
I cannot log into my perfectly valid mobileme .mac account from this computer.

Ah, possibly related to your other post.
Mobile.me doesn't run on 10.3 anymore since the changeover in 2008. It requires 10.4 or later.
If you had an existing .mac account, that will still work as legacy ware. However if your .mac account does not exist on a computer, say after an Erase and Install removed it, then you can't add it anew.
In other words you can't create/setup a .mac account, only its replacement, a mobile.me account, which requires 10.4.
