Cannot get upgrade screen

I have not been able to get to the upgrade screen to download iTunes 7.5 for the past two weeks, it just goes blank. I foolishly downloaded the iPod 1.2.2 upgrade and now cannot use my iPod until the iTunes is upgraded. What is happening here? How can I upgrade and get to use my iPod again? I'm getting pretty hacked off by this!

I'm glad that I'm not the only one experiencing this problem - perhaps Apple will investigate / fix it?
Your solution has allowed me to get past the software upgrade question. (I went into network connections and disabled the network adapter temporarily.)
But I hope that I don't have to take this awkward step every time I want to change sync settings - I'm a constant tinkerer..
I needed to restore the software, so at that point I had to reestablish my internet connection, as the restore does some sort of validation with Apple. Fortunately, this did not cause the software ad to be displayed again!

Hello. You need to change the energy use setting that computer uses max it out. Then it will work just fine. My is touchsmart 600-1050. The computer was preset to use minimum amount of electricity when in idle. I changed all the setting to high. Now every thing runs just like a Windows XP version computer. Thats how I got my screen savors to work. I also upgraded my Windows 7 to Windows 7 Ultimate now I am able to run a lot more XP software. Test your pond screen saver make sure that working with windows open. That will tell you if it is a software issue if it doesn't work. That is the case then restore it from your D: drive.

Regarding your scripting error, you mixed up DIAdem objects with the VBS DataPlugin API.
The Data object you refer to in "Data.Root.Name" is DIAdem specific and cannot be used in DataPlugin code. This is because DataPlugins are generic and can also be used in other National Instruments software products like LabVIEW.
Switching the syntax in DIAdem Script (File->Change Syntax) to "VBS DataPlugin" should help to write DataPlugin scripts. E.g. "Data.Root.Name" should not be recognized by DIAdems Syntax Highlighting.

Portege Z10T and Win7 - cannot get the screen to auto rotate

I have installed windows 7 to a Portege z10t and cannot get the screen to auto rotate when flipped to portrait and landscape, I have had a look at the intel graphics properties and cant find anywhere their to configure this any ideas and have googled it.

Are you sure that you have installed all essential Toshiba tools and utilities as well as Win 7 drivers for this Portege Z10T series?
Toshiba EU driver page provides the essential software like *Tablet Easy Control.*
This utility is necessary for the auto rotation function of the Tablet PC.
I would recommend you to check if all software available on Toshiba EU driver page has been installed and run properly on your notebook

Cannot get past screen 2 of 2 for iTunes Music Store purchase of music

I can't get help from Apple or ITunes or anyone - They sent me here.
I have tried to buy music at the ITunes store since Dec 20- No luck here's the story (email to iTunes were of NO HELP!! - Canned responses are useless)
1. Entered credit card information - screen returns and at the top in black lettering is says "If your address is not in the United States" Click here.
I am in the United States.
2. I called my credit card company and they indicated all my information I entered was correct. In fact they could see my attempts and they sent to Apple (I Tunes Store) authorizations three times within 3 minutes ($1). The times this was done - was everytime I clicked "done" on the Step 2 of 2 page.
3. I can't get a response from the ITunes store to allow me to buy music. I have purchased lots of stuff from the Apple store without any problems.(responses received, products received and confirmation of orders received)
4. Why can't I get past screen 2 of 2 - over five emails to the iTunes store were nonsense answers with no help. This is my last resort before I start returning all my iPOD equipment purchased within the last 30 days.

Cannot get upgraded App to move into App folder. Every time I open Firefox, the install program tries to run again.

I upgraded to FF 8.0 but have been unable to get the App to copy over to the App folder. It asks me if I want to overwrite the existing file of the same name. When I try, it tells me it cannot because certain items had to be skipped. It tells me to go to File<Get Info and make sure "Locked" is deselected and that the permissions are all set correctly. However, it does not tell me what these "Items" so I can check them. I have tried to eject the Firefox disk as well as move it to the trash but, no matter what I do, as soon as I open the browser again, the disk pops back up on my desktop and the Application copy window opens back up.

You shouldn't double-click the Firefox application to run it from the disk image, but drag it out of the DMG folder instead.

They certainly don't care about AppleTV 1 anymore.
I'm honestly not sure what's causing your issue here, but I have numerous AppleTV1s and newer ones and I've not yet run into issues with getting AppleTV 1 syncing but I've seen many posts where for some reason current iTunes seems to flip to regarding the connection as sharing only. Sadly I think it's only a matter of time before they drop support in itunes for AppleTV 1 altogether so keep an old itunes backup or two.
Can you try hooking up the AppleTV to the imac directly via ethernet to see if it'll recognise it - appreciate you would somehow also need to view AppleTv1 output to get that onscreen code.
I think I would also reinstall iTunes and as noted earlier try another account.

Numbers document email cannot get off screen

I emailed a Numbers doc to myself. When I opened the file, it appeared. But, I can't close the file or do anything with it. I can quit Mail, but when I return to mail, the Numbers file is there & I cannot see my emails.

Okay, back to working. Held down the power button until red message appeared asking if I wanted to shut down. Then hold down Home button until home screen appeared. Mail then opened properly. Selected the email and launched the attachment. It froze again. Next effort the "open in" and " done" buttons appeared for a short period of time. Got to have quick fingers, but can now close the file.

Try tapping the "esc" key on your keyboard and see if that helps.
Try pressing command + Q on the keyboard to see if iPhoto will quit.
