Cannot get Yahoo mail since updating ios on 2/2

updated on 2/2, mail was ok for about 15 hours, then nothing. when I go into Yahoo mailbox it says "connecting".....then reverts to "Updated Tuesday". My mailbox is empty, bc I already tried to delete my Yahoo account and reinstall. Also tried shutting phone down.
PLEASE help if possible ~~ YES, I can get mail on the Yahoo App, but I don't like it

Why would you delete your iCloud account for a password change with your Yahoo account?
Regardless, if no problem re-creating your iCloud account on your iPad, contact Yahoo technical support.

I get this warning now To. Never saw it in last 5 years and 4 iPhones. Cannot get yahoo small biz email access anymore via iPhone on safari web login because of this same warning. Typically , either yahoo or apple screwed up and changed something that effects millions and think nothing of it. (battery gate in all the iPhone 4/4s comes to mind here)

For the last 3 days my yahoo mail account hasn't been receiving new mail on my iPad - and won't let me send. However I am getting Facebook updates on my iPad, and can get yahoo mail updates on my Samsung android phone. Does anyone know what's happened? Sure it's something simple, but I am like an old nanna with technology and need help please?!!! Thanks.

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.

there are a few things you can try.
Go to settings>general>reset>reset all settings. if that does not help then do a back up and restore of the iPad these articals will help you with that.

I recently put on a PowerPoint presentation at DU, in Denver Colorado; signed on as DU guest to access Internet link. SInce then I haven't been able to get e-mail on my Iphone - Cannot Get Mail, Server Stopped Responding. I tried all previous suggestions, such as rebooting phone, updating software etc. I went to MacBook Pro and tried logging on to yahoo e-mail. Apparently there was a security risk to my e-mail account so Yahoo locked up my account. I reset my password, it was verified through text message, and Voila it worked. Don't forget you also have to change this on your Iphone: go into settings; Mail, Contacts, Calendars; click on your e-mail browser, then account and enter your new password, click done and it will verify on you phone as well. Suddenly cannot receive Yahoo mail in Apple Mail

As of this past Monday, I can no longer receive any of my Yahoo mail thru the Apple mail client. I keep getting a message that tells me port 995 timed out (or 110, after I changed it/w/SSL on and off).
I checked with Yahoo and the help was iffy (no big surprise there). We did some telnet tests and Yahoo said it was probably my ISP blocking port 995. I doubted that, but to be thorough, I contacted my ISP and ran some pings and we could get thru to the Yahoo IP address.
I ran Mail on a separate computer and had the same issues, so it's not specific to one machine.
I can send/get Yahoo mail via my iPhone (via WiFi) with no problems.
I can SEND mail thru my Yahoo account via Apple Mail, with no problems.
I installed Thunderbird and am currently downloading all the messages from my Yahoo account, with no problem. So, Thunderbird seems to be working.
So, what I'm left with is wondering what suddenly happened to Mail that I can no longer download Yahoo mail. I've changed no settings since Monday. I've updated nothing in over a week.
Why, suddenly, would Mail no longer download Yahoo?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Tips too.

I'm experiencing the same phenomenon. My yahoo mail is working flawlessly on my iPhone, however the Mail app is not connecting to the POP server. For the past two days I've had the triangle/exclamation icon next to my mailbox. I have an att.net mailbox account and don't have any issues sending and receiving mail. A pop-up asks if I want to take the account online and still to no avail. I've deleted the account and later added it with some success as it begins to fetch my 500+ messages still on the server. Minutes later I get the warning icon and again a pop-up asking to take the account online.
Is anyone else experiencing this?

Suddenly I cannot get my Yahoo mail - I get the above message. I get all other mail - gmail, aol, etc. Spent over an hour on the phone with Apple (don't) Care, they blame Yahoo. "Yahoo is having issues" I was told. Yahoo is of no help. I've gone thru all the suggestions such as delete the accounr, replace the account, etc,. etc. I get Yahoo mail on my Dell laptop and my HP desktop but not on iPhone (5s), Apple Mini or iPad. Your mail is housed on the mail server. The device attempts to update, and because you are not connected to the internet, you cannot access it. You need an active data connection to deal with mail.

Have latest version of iTunes installed and running. Also make sure you have internet access working and can access Apple websites. Also, make sure you don't have any entries in your hosts file referring to gs.apple.com....If your not sure about how to do that, go ahead and do the rest first. You can come back to that later.....Plug in phone. Put phone in DFU mode.(google put iphone in DFU mode for instructions) Then restore the phone in iTunes by highliting your device in the left column and click on the Restore button. The latest iOS version is 4.3.3. That's what iTunes will restore it to. When it's done restoring, iTunes will ask if you want to restore from a backup or setup as a new phone. I would use the Setup as a New Phone option. Once it's done, you should have a clean install of the iOS and an operating phone, as long as there are no hardware issues with it.

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. Based on what you stated, it sounds like you dont receive email from one account on one device. I would recommend that you read this article, it may be able to help the issue.
Get help with Mail on iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support
Log in to your email provider's website to make sure that the account is active and the password is correct.
Make sure your settings are correct using Mail Settings Lookup.
Restart your iOS device.
Delete the affected email account from your device.
Tap Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
Tap the affected email account.
Tap Delete Account.
Add your account again.
