Cannot hear samples of some mp3 tracks on Tesco Digital website

When I log onto www.tescoentertainment.com/store I'm having problems with hearing samples of the mp3 tracks. I can hear some of them mostly older tracks, but the newer ones don't always play. I wrote to Tesco and they said it was a problem with Firefox and that it wasn't compatible with their website.

The internal speakers started working after uninstalling the sound drivers and restarted the machine, after which the system reinstalled the High Definition Audio Device driver, which was hitherto being used for the Headset speakers.
Today, the external speakers (the ones used by the headset) stopped working. Both the internal and external speakers
have the same High Definition Audio Device driver. Both are showing "device is working properly", but when the headset is plugged into the two jacks (in and out), the sound does not come from the headset earpiece, but from the internal speakers (ie the loudspeakers).
Any solution for this ? 
My wife's machine has been having a similar, though not identical problem, since the last couple of weeks. In her
case, when the headset is plugged in, there is no sound at all, neither from the headset speakers, nor from the internal speakers. 
Just to eliminate the possibility of the headsets malfunctioning, I tried using another headset, but with the same
results as above.
All these audio problems started a couple of weeks ago, after a Windows overnight update, as detailed in my opening
post under this thread.

    I cannot see anything wrong with the EMU0404.  This is what puzzels me ... Garageband looks OK - headphones are OK - EMU looks OK.

  • Sound Blaster Mp3+ cannot hear recorded so

    When I play sound into the RCA line in on the back of the MP3+ the computer registers and records it correctly but I cannot hear it as it is playing which means I cannot simply listen to records on the computer using the line in. I have also noticed that there is no 'what u hear' option in the recording source selecter as has been the case with other creative cards. How can I make the the recording source audible?

    Unfortunately the MP3+ is not capable of playing back it's inputs. This is due to USB bandwidth limitation as it would require the sound to be sent to the computer and then sent back to the MP3+ for output. This would introduce timing and latency problems. It would also require a huge amount of the usb bandwidth which would limit the computer sound quality capable. For a similar reason there is not an option for "What-U-Hear".

    OK, so it sounds like your internal speaker is damaged or not working.
    Try this first... Do a simple reboot on the BlackBerry in this manner: With the BlackBerry device POWERED ON, remove the battery for a minute, and then reinsert the battery to reboot. A reboot in this manner is prescirbed for most gltiches and operating system errors, and you will lose no data on the device doing this.
    Now, try using the internal speaker again. If it works, good.
    If not, there's some other problem. Is this device fairly new, as in less than a year, you should get a warranty replacement device from your mobile service provider.

  • What to do about some one that cannot hear the iPhone ringing?

    My mother has an iPhone 4S.  When she is in her aprartment alone, she takes out her hearing aids.  When her phone rings she cannot hear it.  We've tried putting the phone in an empty glass to amplify the sound, but it's not loud enough, still.  Is there a device we can purchase that will connect to the phone when she is at home that will amplfy the ringing sound?

    i do know that apple is working on some hearing aids that work with the iphone directly. so that should help her out a lot when it comes out

  • I hear an echo when i play some mp3's :( Leaving soon need help.....

    I've got a 60 gig pod and i filled up about 45 gigs, tommorrow i'm going on a year trip to South America and while i was listening to some songs today i heard an echo in the background (only with mp3's).
    If anyone knows anything about this problem please help me out cos i want to get this thing working by the time i leave.

    For both my problems i tried with different headphones and on itunes i hear the songs without an echo.
    I also chaget the EQ settings in the ipod menu and still heard the echo.
    I also found that i don't hear it on songs that i burned straight from a cd just some mp3's.
    It's unbearable...
    I also tried reseting my ipod but nothing.

  • Cannot hear input when recording or playing back a track

    Frustrating problem which I am sure is simple to fix -
    When not recording or playing back a recorded track in Adobe 3.0, I can hear my keyboard fine through my soundcard line in. However, when I record a track, I cannot hear it any more (though it is being recorded, and I can hear it on playback of the recorded track).
    Also, when playing back a recorded track, I cannot hear my keyboard input again. Only when I stop the playback can I hear it.
    Obviously I need to hear what I am playing as I am recording, and also want to play along to recorded tracks.
    And when I enable "monitor input level" then the level bar indicates sound, but again I hear nothing.
    My setup: Korg Triton Studio connecting via Line in to Creative Soundblaster X-Fi soundcard on Windows Vista PC.

    Thanks for reply - when I do as above, then I can hear the track I am playing as I am recording it. I still cannot hear it however when I am just playing along to a pre-recorded track.
    Also, with smart input, there is a small delay between pressing the key and hearing the sound which I do not like.
    Any ideas?

    For several months now I have been experiencing technical difficulties of people not being able to hear me when I call them on Skype or when they call me. Sometimes I can see their video, but they still cannot hear me. I have checked my microphone equipment and it works fine. I use Google Hangout almost every day and the other people I call on that program can always hear me. Therefore, I do not believe that this is a microphone issue. I have updated Skype as frequently as possible, but the problem never subsides. I never had this issue with the older version of Skype for Windows. What further steps should I take to resolve this issue?

    My mic is always on. As I mentioned, Google Hangout works perfectly fine. The other people can always hear me on this program, but they can very rarely hear me on Skype.

    There are three ways:
    Use an AuPitch filter on the track
    Or turn the audio region into a loop
    Enable "Follow Tempo and Pitch" for the track and use the transposition slider (that does not always work reliably)
    To add an AuPitch filter:
    Enable the audio Units in the GarageBand Preferences and then open the Smart Controls.
    To add the AuPitch filter audio unit, click the Audio Unit button and enlarge the Smart Controls pane by dragging the dividing line to the Track Area upwards.
    click the Audio Units Brick and add the AuPitch filter:
    Type the pitch change in cents (100 cents per half note step) into the text field below the pitch control.
    To create a loop from the audio file:
    Select the region in the track and use the command "File: Add region to Loop library".
    Set the current key and tempo, name the loop, and save the loop.
    Now add it from the loop browser to a new track and delete your old track. The search field in the Loop browser will help you to find the loop quickly.
    You will be able to transpose the sample like a regular loo by changing the project key.

  • MP3 TRACK WON'T CONVERT INTO GARAGEBAND

    i'm having issues with importing some mp3 files into garageband. when i drag the mp3 from itunes a window will pop up stating that it is importing the song, but that's it, you don't see the track.
    but some mp3's will import and then another window will pop up stating that it is now converting the track and i do get a track.
    my question is why do some convert and some don't?
    also the ones that do convert take about 2-3 minutes to actually convert.

    First off, why convert from one lossy format to another lossy format? You will not gain anything, if fact you will loose some audio quality, although whether or not you can hear the loss depends one your hearing and on the system you use for playback.
    If you want to have it use bookmarks, you can open up its Get Info box and check off "Remember playback position" under Options.
    Out of curiosity, what size is the mp3 file? It must be fairly large if the playback time is 8 1/2 hours.

    Got a bug report for you here I think. I have multiple clips in a timeline, some clips I can hear audio, other clips I cannot hear audio. I have been using Premiere Pro for 10 years. So, you can skip the questions like, "is the track turned on", or "is it one side of the channel that's not playing". what I can tell you is that it's random. Sometimes the audio comes through, sometimes it doesn't (on the same clip). There are wave forms for the audio in the timeline. And not matter what audio track I put it on, it doesn't fix itself. And like I said, it's random. So, a clip works fine one time, then later when I'm going over the same clips, I can't hear audio on it. Any ideas?????

    I added an audio track to a blank Garageband project, and attempted to play a virtual instrument track over that audio track using musical typing. When the audio track is inserted, I cannot hear anything from the virtual instrument track. Whether the audio is playing or not, no key I hit makes noise. However, I can record on the virtual instrument track, and hear back what I've recorded. I simply cannot hear it otherwise (including as I record).     In iChat 6 there was some cross over between the Bonjour Account's "Send As I type" and any  Yahoo login (which has it in the Yahoo for Mac app but not in iChat) and actually allowed some form of staggered Messages to be sent over Yahoo.
    The Bonjour Option has now disappeared in Messages and it now cannot be done.
    If on the other hand you mean that the chat window is not displaying the 3 dot ellipses to indicating someone is typing that is a different matter.

  • Some mp3s no longer play in itunes 6

    ok this one has me stumped. upgaded my itunes and now some of my music wont play (when it did before).
    first thing i noticed is that some music icons were changed to quicktime. these would not play even when changing back to itunes (by selecting "open with" in the info box).
    even opening with quicktime gives me this error: QuickTime cannot open the file: "zzzzzzz.MP3"
    it is not a file that QuickTime understands (-2048)
    on closed inspection, i see that the "more info" box is missing some of the itunes information previously there, and there is no preview option.
    i'm tried copying the file and renaming, which did not seem to help.
    i'm clueless as to what's going on! anyone have any ideas?

    Install and open File Examiner. In FEX open a known healthy .mp3. Select the Type/Creator from the pull down and note the codes. Close the file without changing. Open your corrupt file and change the Type/Creator to match. Close and save changes. Your .mp3 should now open properly in iTunes.
    Note: If the broken file is an AAC, substitute AAC for the mp3 above!

    I cannot hear ANY music on my iPhone. I can make and receive phone calls even in speakerphone mode, but I cannot hear any of tracks that synced from iTunes, not even with the headphones.
