Cannot hear through earpiece unless it's on speaker

I couldn't hear through earpiece unless it's on speaker. This problem occured 3 days ago.
People couldn't hear me during a phonecall, and I could't hear them either.
I already checked everything at my settings, everything is set at where suppose to be.
I also tried to restart my phone, but still nothing changed.
I got my iPhone 4s just 2 months ago (basically it's a new phone), any one has any advice to fix this issue?

Clear the receiver
The iPhone receiver won't work properly if it's blocked or dirty. Here's where the receiver is:
Follow these steps, testing after each:
- Make sure nothing is blocking the receiver, such as a case or film.
If you have a new iPhone, remove the plastic film on the front and back of the device.
- Check the receiver opening to see if it's blocked or dirty. If necessary, clean the receiver opening with a clean, small, dry, soft-bristled brush.
- While you're on a call, turn on speakerphone. If you still can't hear, then your network or reception could be the issue. Try calling again later or from a different location.
Restart and update
1. Restart your iPhone and test again.
2. If there's still no sound or poor sound quality, update to the latest version of iOS.

You're not using a supported carrier. What did you think Apple was going to tell you?
As fizzDripper suggests, contact the SIM card provider. How to make an unsupported SIM work on your phone is not Apple's problem.

Yes, when I disable the conversations add-on, I can then get to the attachment...but I like the conversations add-on otherwise and it used to handle the attachments just fine.

I cannot hear telephone calls unless speaker is on

I just replaced the glass on my iphone as it had smashed but as soon as I got the phone back I was not able to hear telephone calls (incoming or outgoing) unless I put the speaker on....and the volume is still pretty low even though the volume settings are high. May be a coincidence but Ive never had that problem before.

I am having the exact same problem starting today. I took your advice about inserting the headphone jack and the thing about the speakers, no luck. I reset all the settings, turned it off/on, still doesn't work. Device, driver loaded properly. Can hear through device 'phone input. Cannot hear through Logic Pro.

I successfully loaded the driver to my brand-new Steinberg UR22 interface. The device shows up in Preferences > Audio as the input and output. I can hear a signal through headphones plugged into the headphone jack on the Steinberg.
I cannot hear anything in Logic Pro, however. I've created a track, but cannot get my guitar to generate any movement on the LED fader on the lower left, or change rigs using the guitar amps/effects library on the right.

You've created an Audio Track, correct?
Have you set the audio track to the correct input?
The UR22's second (#2) input should be used with the Hi-Z switch enabled.
Input gain at 1/2 also make sure the Master Output is up.
You have a monitoring knob labeled Input/DAW
If you wish to monitor both set the know to the halfway point, balance from that point.
By Master Output I was referring to the Output level on the UR22

sounds like it is more than likely a hardware issue on the device but before calling applecare you could try to do a hard reset(hold the sleep/wake button+home button down together) if that doesnt fix it then try a restore but make sure u have your data backed up before you do.

6085 cant hear through earpiece on phone

This is the third 6085 I have had this same problem with. I cant hear when making or recieveing calls. The volume is all the way up. I have to turn the loud speaker on in order to hear. Has anyone else had this problem? Was there anything short of getting a new phone to fix it?

if this your 3rd phone its obviously a fault and should be now be well rectified by nokia return it to nokia care centre to have it fixed

Running the software repair on PC Companion:
1. Install and open PC Companion then select Support Zone.
2. Phone Software Update.
3. Start.
4. Repair Phone
5. Continue
6. Accept data removal
7. Next
8. Wait for prepare
9. Select Phone
10. Follow the connection steps
Running the software repair on Bridge for Mac:
1. Launch Bridge for MAC without the handset connected.
2. On the Main Window select "Xperia > Repair Xperia
Device".
3. Ensure the phone is charged and select "Ok" in the
following window.
4. Select Continue on the following page.
5. Wait until the initialising step is finished the
continue as below.
6 . Select your model of phone from the list that appears
7. Follow the connection steps that appear, ensuring that
you are holding the relevant button down before during and
after the connection phase until the update/repair begins.

IPhone 4 software issue. Cannot hear or be heard when making call

Hi there,
A few days ago, out of the blue, I lost the ability to be able to hear or be heard when on a call on my iPhone 4.
On a call, no matter which output I use, earpiece, earphones or speaker, I cannot hear the person on the other end speaking, and they cannot hear me talking. My phone will ring if someone is calling, and if I call someone their phone will connect, but from there I am completely muted/in silence.
I do not believe this is a hardware related issue as I have tested both the microphone and speaker/s by making a Skype call to a friend which worked absolutely fine. I can also play music from my phone successfully through all of the iPhone outputs mentioned above.
This is a super frustrating issue as I haven't dropped the phone or damaged any of the hardware.
The only one software related thing I notice that is out of the ordinary is that when I do make a call, the 'speaker' icon is selected by default. Obviously I have attempted to deselect it, but have had no success in this making any difference.
Any ideas?
Of course where I live I don't have access to an Apple Store, and everywhere I take it locally I get the response - 'Sorry, we don't repair iPhones'

I forgot to mention that I have reset all settings and restored the phone twice - once as a restore from a back up, and then a restore as a new phone. None of these methods worked and I'm still stuck with the same issue!

TS1630 can't hear through receiver but can hear clearly on speaker phone

just bought the iphone 5 two weeks ago and all of a sudden i cannot hear through the receiver or hear the ring, but I can hear perfectly on speaker. I took it to Apple and it seemed they fixed it but now it has done again. Very frustrating because when i need to make calls i have to put it on speaker phone. Any suggetions is greatly appreciated. I have an appt. with apple again on saturday but i think i need a replacement.

Back it up in iTunes! Just make a backup of the entire device but make sure you check sync contacts and the option to add contacts from phone to address book on computer.

When I went into my Bromley store today I was told because the phone is not under the 12 month warranty Apple could not help me or I could pay in excess of £100 to get phone repaired, is this right?

Pretty much. Except that Apple will replace it for a fixed fee that is far less than the cost of a new phone. In the US the replacement cost for an iPhone 4 is $149. It is comparable in the UK. Unless you can prove that the fault was present at the time of purchase. A switch wearing out would probably be considered normal wear and tear, not a "fault".
