Cannot import all of one album

I only have this issue with one album out of 11gb of music. When I drag the playlist into the nano only the first track transfers across. If I try and drag one of the other tracks individually, I don't get the 'plus' sign appear. They are all standard mp3's at variable bit rates. Any idea why this should be?

Try converting the album to AAC. That is one option.

In iPhoto albums may contain photos with the same file name - iPhoto handles that just fine
If you are exporting them to move somewhere else use the sequential file name feature of export to give each file a unique name

Cannot import all JPGs

Hi
I've been using Lightroom 3 for about 6 months and had no problems at all. Recently I took a bunch of photos in JPG format with my Sony Alpha A350, when I went to import them half of the images were darkened and I can't select them for import. I've always used the same camera and not used any advanced features as I'm still a novice.
Any suggestions?

I'm not sure what you mean by reformatting. Could you clarify please?
On the card was 85 photos (30 of those are darkened). I selected new photos as you suggested and imported. But still there are only 55 photos in the library and not the full 85
Any other suggestions?

Paul, Darkened images in the Import grid mean that Lightroom figures those photos are already in the library. Did you shoot more images on the card without reformatting it? What I did was to put in the same name for Album Artist in every track. That seemed to do the trick (previously all those fields were empty). It seems like a lot of work for a simple thing.
iTunes knows (or should know) that these tracks were imported from one CD. So why is it relying on incomplete data from the gracenote database?

When importing iPad photos into Aperture, I cannot import into an existing album, only create a new project.

I dont want to create a new project for every group of photos being brought over from my iPad. My iPhone worked perfectly. I was able to choose which project/album I could import into, why would the iPad, running the same iOS, be any different?

That's a loaded question. It's not "yes or no" according to exactly how you asked it.
You do not have to create a new project for each import, but every picture lives in exactly 1 project. You can then point to any photo from any number of albums. You cannot put a photo directly into an album because an album does not contain photos, it only contains "pointers" to photos.
So, you, as the user, have the ability to put your imports into an existing project. Why are you creating a new project every time?

TS1468 If all tracks on an album are written by one artist, but have other supporting artists, can I group them all as one album under the original artist without having to group them as a compilation and being called "Various Artists"?

I'm pretty sure I've tried all the suggestions I've found, but I can't seem to find a satisfactory option.
I'll use a CD I just bought as an example. I just bought "The Best of Sergio Mendes", all songs are written by Sergio Mendes, but some include Brasil '66. iTunes thinks this album is a compilation, but I really just want to group it all as Sergio Mendes rather than Various Artists, but I still want to have the information about which songs include Brasil '66. For some reason the tab "Sorting" does absolutely nothing, but it seems like the idea behind it would be really useful if it actually worked... Is there a way of doing this or will I have to settle with a more confusing or less informative option? I feel like this must be possible, or else it's a pretty big flaw for me as I have a fair few albums this would apply to.

Don't try to use sort fields to merge different things together as it quickly goes wrong. These should be used consistently to make all things with one value sort as if they had a different one, e.g. Bowie, David to make David Bowie sort under B.

No. You would either need to not sync that album or create a Smart Playlist that includes everything except that one.
Creating a Smart Playlist is pretty simple.

Video did not import into separate clips. Its all on one clip. How can I get imovie to make separate clips for editing? Original video is gone. Its on imovie6.

Where Do Your material originate from ?
• miniDV tape Camera (recorde with this live)
• from VHS/VCR via miniDV Camera or A/D box
If the latter - there are no Time & Date code that gives info to iMovie where to cut.
There is no function in iMovie that can produce couts from variations in picture or audio. (either in FinalCut Express/pro as I'm aware of)
It has been reported that it can be done on PC-Window platform and by programs like
Pinnacle, Adobe Premiere etc. NEVER Confirmed though.
If timecode not present - Manual cutting up only way. (As I know of)

IOS 8 problems. cannot access all photos under ALBUMS and...

Cannot get IPAD2 to sync just keeps going and going... also cannot access all my photos under albums... only videos and "recent photos". I don't like to use the photos that divides the photos up and I could at least see all photo under ALBUMS, now there are only the last 10 or so. My iphone 4s has not allowed the option to update to iOS 8

Cannot import all video clips

I've never had this problem before with Elements 9, but I attempt to get media from files, select 46 Mp4 Video Clips and it will only import 36 of them. I've rebooted the computer,that doesn't help. I cannot select the project from the filter drop down most of the time, although I can see it. I have to use another method. Even when it works, there are only 36 out of the 46 videos there. I attempt to import the other 10 manually... it acts like it does as you see the progress bar but they are not viewable. I finally was able to accomplish this after having to manually count the videos since there is no indicator, by accessing the Large Project Icon under Organize, but it's not the way I'm used to draging my video clips down to the timeline. Not sure what is wrong and why it has developed this new behavior. Had I not been manually counting them (odd that there is no number of files indicator) I would have completed a project and would have been missing 10 video clips.

Please perform the following computer maintenance...
a. Adobe Folder. Look for pile ups in the Adobe Premiere Elements Preview Files Folder and delete them. Look for pile ups in the Media Cache Folder (conformed audio cfa and pek files) and delete them.
b. Edit Menu/Preferences/Media. In the Media Cache section, click on the Clean button to get rid of the conformed video (.mcdb) files.
c. Run the ccleaner, regular cleaner and registry cleaner.

As far as you can determine how do the 10 differ from the 46 videos. What is the hard drive save location for these 46 videos and is that drive formatted NTFS or FAT32? The properties of those videos (aside from the .mp4 file extension) would be included in your exchange of information, along with project preset.
Since you are working with a 32 bit application in Premiere Elements 9.0/9.0.1 with all the limitations of a 32 bit system, I am thinking that the issue probably goes to level of computer resources and maintenance.
Let us see if we can sort this out. There are other avenues to pursue but the above seems more indicated at this time.

Able to home share all but one album. What's wrong?

I've encountered a puzzling issue.
I have home sharing enabled on my Mac Mini Server running Yosemite (10.10.1) and iTunes (12.0.1.26) as well as a 2012 rMBP (same software), 2012 Mac Mini, and various iOS devices (8.1). I am able to access the iTunes library housed on my Mac Mini Server from all devices, and can play back all movies, TV shows, and music except for my favorite album! All music is in ALAC (including said album), AAC, or MP3 format. I have tried the following:
1 - disabled, then re-enabled home sharing, re-enrolling each device in the process
2 - deleted the album from my library (including source files on my HDD), re-imported from a backup, consolidated library
3 - re-encoded from source FLAC files, imported, consolidated library
4 - rebooted all devices and Time Capsule
5 - quit/reopened each instance of iTunes
No luck! Any ideas/suggestions?

You're welcome, and you can't. Only photos captured or saved by the iPhone are in the Camera Roll. You can transfer photos from your computer to the Camera Roll nor transfer photos in the Photo Library or in albums on the iPhone that were transferred from your computer to the Camera Roll.
Photos transferred from your computer are optimized for viewing on the iPhone as part of the iTunes sync/transfer process - the original resolution of these photos is reduced on the iPhone. This is why transferring these photos in the opposite direction is not supported. These photos should be included with your computer's backup along with all other important data.
There are some 3rd party paid utilities that provide for transferring this data in the opposite direction, but the original resolution of these photos will be lost in the process.
A Google or internet search is your friend.

Cannot import all photos onto PC

When I connect my phone to my laptop it is not showing all the photos on my phone to allow me to import them all.
I have approx. 2000 photos on my phone, but when I connect and browse my phone on my PC I can only see approximately 50 photos.
I can see the following iPhone>DCIM>Foldername xxxxxx and that is all?
Why can't I see more?
Please help - they have all my baby photos!

Did you follow the steps mentioned in this article to import the photos inside the camera roll? Photos that have not been taken with the phone or located inside the camera roll can't be imported.
