Cannot import certificate

Hey,
I've purchased a domain and a SSL certificate from Comodo but I cannot import it via the server app. The certificate consist of 5 files but the window where i'm supose to drag files doesn't seem to do anything - the import button is still grayed out after dragging the files in. I guess that it needs some .key file which i do not have. I'm new to this so i'm not sure what am I suppose to do.
Any help would be appreciated.
P.S. And how can I delete the "self signed" from the server and start everything from clean so to speak?

Thanks for the helping me out. I have managed to find a fix for the problem. All you had to do was to restore the SSL certificate. I was trying to do this for a system which was a copy of the production and the certificate was generated for the system before the refresh. So all I had to do was to restore the SSL.

Cannot import certificate using keytool

Hi,
I used the below command to generate the key pairs and CSR:
keytool -genkey -alias myalias -keyalg RSA -keystore .keystore
keytool -certreq -keystore .keystore -alias myalias -file jetco.csr
Then I copied the CSR and signed by the CA. The CA issued the certificate and I import the certificate (filename: DownloadCert) with the following command:
(the certificate from the CA is in V3 X.509 base64 encoded)
keytool -import -alias myalias -file DownloadCert -keypass ****** -keystore .keystore -storepass ******
Then I got the error : keytool error: java.security.cert.CertificateException: IOException: Sequence tag error.
Does anyone know how to fix the above problem?

u might not have saved the attachment properly. if u r
using windows, can u c the certificate clearly by
clicking on the file. the filename must end with a
.cer extension so that u can double click on it.After I modified the content of the file from CA. Now I can import the certificate in a keystore file.

I did browsed the zip file which contains 6 certificates and now I'm getting this error
"Cannot analyze certificat" after selection in "Import"

Seeburger AS2 - import certificate type .p7b (PKCS#7)

Dear Seeburger AS2 experts,
Has anyone ever imported (loaded) a certificate file type *.p7b (PKCS#7)? I've got a .p7b certificate file from my trading partner but I cannot import it, as XI does not have the option to load this type. I tried loading a .cer file, but that did not work (as2 authentication error) for some reasons. My trading partner does not have a .p8 or .p12 certificate. Is there any way to load a .p7b into XI?

Apache 2.0.59 - cannot read certificate revocation list

Hello,
i've installed a thawte SSL certificate on a Netware 6.5 SP7 server with apache 2.0.59. If i want to validate the certificate with C1, i get the following error "cannot read certificate revocation list" ! I've found in a forum task, that this is not a great problem, but when i remark the command "SecureListen 443 "new-NDS-name" in http.conf from apache, then the webserver cannot start. Error in apache log is "[Wed Jan 05 15:57:42 2011] [crit] (10043)Unknown error: make_secure_socket: failed to get a socket for port 443 Configuration Failed". I've found in novell support forum the following task - Error: Invalid cannot read certificate revocation list. I contact thawte and they told me the following - All of our Thawte certificates are issued a CRL to check. We do not have any process or way to issue a certificate without the use of the CRL. Unfortunately no, as almost all CA's will use a CRL to ensure that the certificate's validity and status is always up to date.
What can i do ? Does anyone has an idea ? It was great to get it running......

FWIW, I have always regarded that as cosmetic (TID 10094995). Ie I sometimes get errors in C1, even if the certs are fine.
Your message indicates that you did not get the complete certificate list. Ie you need to have your cert, the trusted root and all intermediaries. Sometimes you have to import them all into Ie, then export the complete list

Smartcard - importing certificates

I have BlackBerry 8900 and Smartcard reader v1 and I am trying to get it working together.
I am able to pair the devices together, BlackBerry sees the SmartCard reader. I can import certificates from it, but after that I cannot see any new certificates on my certificate list. The card is ok, the certificate is there - I have checked it on my PC
What am I doing wrong? Are there any additional steps required to get the certificates from my card? One more think I am wondering about is that I am also never asked about the smartcard PIN.

Ok, I solved it myself.
Apparently BlackBerry requires that every certificate contains user email. I tried with a different card that has a certificate with email information and it worked. It's a pity though that I didn't receive any warning/information that a certificate is wrong and buggy "Certificates imported" message misleading me that everything went just fine.

You need to transfer the iTunes Library from the most recent backup you made before the hard drive was replaced.
You can't transfer the full iTunes Library from the iPad back to iTunes.
There are third-party Windows applications that will transfer data from an iOS device, but they don't re-create the iTunes Library exactly as it was before.

The vCard must not be a compatible format. (Unfortunately, there are multiple formats.)
Often your carrier can transfer contacts between devices from different manufacturers. Try visiting your carrier's retail outlet and see if they can do this for you.

I have upgraded to Mavericks and I now cannot import DV into FCP through the capture presets.

Since upgrading to Mavericks, I cannot import DV vision through my Sony FX-1E. I have tried various connections - DV to Firewire 400 + 800 with no success. I now have to get the vision ingested at another facility and exported to a hard drive in order to edit.
Is there a way I can get vision into FCP?

FCP (not FCPX) is legacy software, now EOL and not designed or guaranteed to work with Mavericks, some people report no problems others do, it depends on your setup. I'd suggest using iMovie to capture your footage then transfer to FCP to save using (or paying) another facility. An alternative (and my own solution) is a second boot drive with 10.8.5 and FCP 7 which still works OK.

I have seen a comment on the Apple store website for Final Cut Express saying that FCE cannot import 1940 1080/ 60i/24p/30p frame rates, converting them to a degraded 1440 1080 14p instead!

I was planning to buy FCE, but when I saw that comment I was surprised to think Apple haven't got a leading edge program for editing HD footage, which is the coming thing. Hi Ian, thanks for getting involved with my potential fiasco to help me out! I have just been on ebay and saw a british person selling a vixia camera, so I messaged him to ask about this issue, and this is what he has replied:
"A good question! You are quite right, UK frame rates are 25p and 50i. This used to be an issue with analogue cameras with NTSC vs PAL, but with HD, it is no detriment at all, in fact it is an advantage. Firstly, it means you get more frames per second, so you get less blurring with fast moving objects and have more raw material to work with; secondly, HD TV's will automatically recognise the format and play the footage with no issue; finally, if you do need to output at 25p or 50i, any decent editing package will convert the frame rate. A quick bit of maths shows that a long GOP under 25/50 is 0.6s long, whereas under 30/60, it is only 0.5s. I import the clips into the PC, edit them, render into a single file, then use Nero 9 (the only software currently able to do this) to create an AVCHD folder back on the camera, so that the finished film can be played out in glorious full HD using the HDMI port. Hope this helps! "
I'm not really clear on what he is saying with regards to showing the footage... can only play it via the camera? Means cannot burn DVD? Uploading to Facebook not an issue?

If they are the same nef files that you were importing into your PC, see if the reason is an error message like the thread above this one. Permissions issue.
