Cannot import or burn CD with new upgrade

When I open iTunes, I get the following message:
iTunes was not properly installed. If you wish to import or burn CDs, you will need to reinstall iTunes.
What do I need to do to ensure that my music and downloads are not lost? Uninstall and reinstall from itunes.com?
Is there something else I can do to update the latest download? This occurred after downloading 7.2.

hmmmm. did you get any error messages or other problems during the install? or did it seem to proceed just fine, and this hit you out of the blue when you first went to open it?

CAUSE: User specified one or more of { db_cache_size , db_recycle_cache_size, db_keep_cache_size, db_nk_cache_size (where n is one of 2,4,8,16,32) } AND use_indirect_data_buffers is set to TRUE. This is illegal.

Help Please: Unable to Import or Burn CDs with iTunes

Hello,
At some point over the last few updates I seem to have lost the ability to import or burn CDs with iTunes. I've done so many times in the past with no problem however when I attempt to do so now my entire PC restarts or in a few cases gives me the generic Windows "iTunes needs to close" error.
So far I've made sure my PC is not overheating. I've ruled out spyware or viruses using AVG and CCleaner. I've swapped out power supplies only to have the problem continue. I am able to listen to music and/or burn CDs and DVDs in both of my drives using other applications with no problem. I've tried fresh, clean installs of iTunes all the way back to 8.02 with no success. I've even gone as far as to completely reformat Windows only to have this problem continue.
Any help or suggestions would be most welcome. I will be glad to provide any requested information, thank you.

What good is buying your music through itunes if you can't burn a cd and/or back it up? Why isn't this issued solved - I can't burn a cd. I have missing registry files and warning that says to reinstall which I've tried unsuccessfully. Hopefully they'll find a fix before I lose my 500 songs I've purchased...does anyone back up on a external hard drive - any suggestions? Thanks

Nothing. I cannot drag and drop. I tried getting Burn Folder from finder and trying to drag it that way and that doesn't work either.

I still can't open files withis new upgrade this new adobe dc app. what gives????

Would you tell us which app you have? Acrobat DC for iOS or Android?
Can you also make sure that you have the latest version of the app?
For iOS, the latest version (as of April 28, 2015) is 15.0.2.
For Android, the latest version (as of April 28, 2015) is 15.0.1.
If you are looking for the files that are locally stored on your device, please select "Local".

Found a problem with new upgrade

Hello everyone,
I did find something not so nice about the new upgrade. I had installed a template that I purchased from 11mystics. The template is no longer accessible through the template chooser. I tried both ways either in iweb clicking on templates or at start a new site. I looked in the folders where they were installed and all the files are in their respective place. the template itself in the theme folder and the thumbnail in the thumbnail folder. I remove them and reinstalled. I repaired permission, I erased the plist. all to no avail template still not available.
I do not know what to think. I cannot beleive that Apple would prevent us from using 3rd party templates?
Your opinion or advice please.

Text tool issue resolved with new upgrade

It appears the text tool issue has been resolved with the new upgrade, now you don't have to use the transform function to move titles
now the text tool converts to the move arrow tool as expected.
They said it was a Lion's bug.

If it's a "Mobility" card then chances are it's in a laptop, and many laptop manufacturers are required to be the source for driver updates. You might have
to check with the computer maker.
If there's not a driver update for it, it's possible you could try downgrading the driver to an older version if one can be found.
What operating system are you running (XP, Vista, 7, 32 or 64 bit)?

Anyone noticed that with new upgrade, alarm settings are useless?

Before the 07 upgrade, I had several different alarm settings. For work, I have one that goes off at 6 am M-F. I turn it to ON Sunday night, and then OFF Friday night. Monday through Friday mornings, all I had to do was Stop the alarm for the day, and the alarm itself would still be set to go off Tuesday through Friday mornings.
Now, with the new upgrade, the alarm settings are useless. When my alarm goes off in the a.m. I have to now actually go to that alarm page and slide the settings for the week to OFF. That means that I now have to physically turn the alarm ON and OFF every day. Not a tragedy, but this is not an intended "feature" of the new 07, I am sure. I have reduced different alarms down to 2; Weekend 8 am; and Weekdays 6 am; and have to retrain my brain that I now have to remember to turn my alarm on every night before I go to bed.

Did you try tapping on the refresh button at the bottom of the contacts app - on the main page on the left side - the page that shows the list of all of your groups?... like Exchange, iCloud, whatever contacts sources that you have in the contacts app.
I use Exchange for my contacts and that is what I chose in the Settings>Mail>Contacts>Default Account>Exchange and I chose Exchange contacts in the mail settings as well.

With new upgrade, can I play music to Ford sync with bluetooth?

The new upgrade 3.0 is fantastic. Can I play music on the Ford Sync system or do I need the 3G?

the original iphone, even with the 3.0 OS does not support the A2DP bluetooth profile... therefor you can not stream audio to the sync. you can however USB it to the sync and copy music over (I think) I don't have a sync, but wish I did...

Cannot select photo events with iPhone anymore with new upgrade - can we only use the cloud now?

I used to be able to select events from iPhoto that I wanted to appear in my phone. I cannot use photo stream for various reasons. The last time I synced my iPhone it would not allow me to select any events at all, but only reverted to the recent photo stream ONLY. Which means that none of my old photos can now be found on my iPhone. I hate this - I want some of my old photos. Why can't I select my old events? Please help!

Okay, here's the sequence that 'may' help explain; 1st- My son got an Iphone 4 & wanted to buy songs, etc., so I added his phone to my Itunes acct..--he consequently signs on under my email address (my Apple ID) & my PW. No problem then, it had/has listed ex. Mom's Iphone & Son's Iphone (mine is a 4s, don't think that makes a difference- except in telling u that Siri doesn't work properly now either & refers to my son's name now instead of mine!) As far as I can tell, the real problems began with the ICloud settings on our Iphones--meaning the settings on 'where' to back our phone's- ICloud or to the Laptop (both phones back up to the same laptop.) It's so complicated I can hardly explain it, so sorry if I'm bouncing around! I did not mean to or rather it was not an intentional decision to use the same ICloud, however since we share the same comp. and Itunes account, and basically passwords--it somehow happened. I don't know how to undo this mess! Last night I went to ICloud.com & was able to sign on with my son's @me.com user ID & our Itunes PW (aka-Apple ID.) It really didn't do anything except show me Iphone features, ex. Contacts, Ibook, etc.. I did 'not' see a place where I could change any settings, like to possibly change his Apple ID, or pw...that's all I can think of to change? And even with that I'm not sure how to do that...he's 14, a minor--so he has to be under my settings to a degree. Don't mind at all having seperate ID's, but we do share "some" music and app's for example. Is any of this making sense or even partially explaining my problems? Thank you in advance!

Are you using Firefox 15? I know there was a bug for it. On Firefox Beta - Firefox 16 this problem is fixed. You can download the Firefox Beta app from Play store.

HT201269 cannot get computer to sync with new i5s

just got a new i5s upgrade from i4 cannot get computer sync the new phone or transfer old data...tried setting as new phone old phone and every other option available...anyone what i'm doing wrong

Charge overnight with the charger that came with the iPad. Then, connect to the computer and determine if you can sync.
Charging from the computer is "iffy" as many USB ports (especially on Windoze machines) do not put out sufficient current to charge the iPad.

TS3999 Can't see Calendar entries with new upgrade...

With the recent upgrade of iCloud Calendar, I can't see many of the daily entries when I look at the "Month" view. In the old version I could. I'm not sure if it's the font size or color that's the problem. It's a pain to have to click on the "..." (which is the only thing I am now able to see) every time I want to know what we have coming up. My monthly calendar is VITAL to me and helps me keep all of our schedules in line. With 2 working parents and 4 very active kids, I need my fully monthly calendar view back, PLEASE!!! Any suggestions to fix this? HELP!!!

Anytime you introduce new networking hardware, it is important to perform a complete power recycle of your of your networking equipment.
I would recommend that you do the following as a minimum:
Power-down the modem, new router, AirPort base stations, and computer(s).
While all of the devices are powered-down, perform a "factory default" reset on the base station. This will get it back to its "out-of-the-box" configuration and make setting it up much easier, especially if you use the "Assist me" process within the AirPort Utility. (ref: Resetting an AirPort Base Station or Time Capsule)
After the base station resets, go ahead and power it back down.
Power-up the modem; wait at least 10-15 minutes to allow it adequate time to initialize.
Power-up the new router; wait at least 10-15 minutes to allow it to initialize.
Power-up the AirPort base stations; wait at least 5-10 minutes. Note: The AirPort's status light may continue to flash amber after it has intialized. That is because, there may be some additional configuration items necessary, like setting up wireless security, before the overall setup is completed to get a green status.
Power-up your computer(s).
In this basic configuration, the AirPort base station will broadcast an unsecured wireless network with a Network Name (SSID) of Apple Network NNNNNN. Network clients, connected to the base station either by wire or wireless, should now be able to access the Internet through the ISP's modem. Once Internet connectivity has been verified, you can use the AirPort Utility to configure the base station for wireless security and any other desired options. Please post back your results.

Cannot sync iphotos or itunes with new iphone

I have just purchased a new iphone, which I have synced with my MacBook Pro using itunes. I have also authorised the computer from the 'Store' drop down menu.
After connecting the iphone with the provided usb and dock I have successfully synced all my contacts, calendar, bookmarks and mail accounts but when i try and sync the iphotos and itunes it fails with the message 'The iPhone "iPhone" cannot be synced. You do not have enough access privileges for this operation'.
As I have more than 14gb free and the iphoto folder I am trying to import is very small I don't understand the problem. Can anyone help?

ok finished verifying and repairing disk permissions with Disk Utility but I still get the same message.
with regards to the permissions setting via finder, I'm not sure what i need to check but there's nothing obviously wrong. It's currently set to read & write
I restored the factory settings and still it failed to load iphotos and I still get the same message. Within ITunes should it list photos under the DEVICES list as it currently shows Music, Movies, TV Shows & Ringtones.
On the plus side however, I have managed to load itunes now. Not sure why I can't seem to do the same with iphotos?
