Cannot install 1-Step RoboPDF NT-Driver: 126
When trying to install RoboPDF 1-Step from the Trial.exe
(RoboHelp) I'm getting an error during the installation.
Like the subject says: Cannot install 1-Step RoboPDF
NT-Driver: 126
This is persistent. I uninstalled all of Robohelp and RoboPDF
several times.
My system is Windows XP SP2 with all patches.
I'm clueless. I removed all traces of 1-Step-RoboPDF in the
registry already to no avail.

How's your German?

here.
The only answer I can find is in German but hopefully someone
can help you with that. Also Dirk Bock responded to that post on
the German forum but he also hangs around here so perhaps he will
see this and help you.
Do you have admin rights on the PC to which you are trying to
install? RH will install install without them but not work
properly. Perhaps 1 Step will not install without those rights.
Also, you have problems with the full version of 1 Step, then
Customer Support will most likely upgrade you to FlashPaper which
includes a PDF function.

I cannot install Lion to a backup drive for my new Mac Mini
I just bought the new Mac Mini with an i7 processor last week. I wanted to format a backup drive for it. When I tried to use the Lion Recovery partition on the new Mac Mini, I keep getting an error message that says it's incompatoble with the current model.
I also tried to use the Lion thumbdrive I purchased from Apple to see if that can be used, but it also give me the incompatible message.
Is there a special version of Lion that's only for the new Mac Mini's?
Any help is appreciated!Read this, it will explain it: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4905
Mac mini (Mid 2011), MacBook Air (Mid 2011): Use Lion Recovery instead of OS X Lion USB Thumb Drive
Last Modified: September 01, 2011
Article: HT4905
Summary
Learn about using Lion Recovery or the built-in OS X Lion recovery partition rather than OS X Lion USB Thumb Drive with computers released after OS X Lion.
Products Affected
MacBook Air (13-inch, Mid 2011), MacBook Air (11-inch, Mid 2011), MacBook Air (Mid 2011), Mac mini (Mid 2011)
Use Lion Recovery to restore Mac computers released after OS X Lion. If you attempt to use the OS X Lion USB Thumb Drive, a message will appear stating that you cannot install this version of OS X on your computer. This is correct behavior to make sure you install only the correct and most up-to-date version of Mac OS X on your computer.
Note: You can also use the Lion Recovery Disk Assistant on your Mac to create a bootable image to make sure you recover the correct version of OS X Lion. To use the Lion Recovery Disk Assistant, you need to have your own USB drive.
Additional Information
If you have a network connection, you should receive the appropriate version of Mac OS X when using the built-in Recovery HD partition on Macs running Lion.

Cannot install Lion on External Hard Drive
I have a brand new ssd in a hard drive enclosure and want to put lion on it before I install it into the computer, taking out the old hard drive (with SL on it). I got it from the app store, it installs until it has to restart, and then after it restarts and is installing is says cannot install because it cant create a recovery partition or something like that. How can I do this? Do I need to install the empty ssd, then have lion on a bootable usb and install from there? Thanks in advance.
Carbon Copy Cloner will make a bootable external drive. The old version is shareware if you can download it, the new version is commercial. It is a great program. I have been using it for years back to a G4. Many backups do not create a bootable drive.

Cannot install Tiger on new hard drive ???!!!
I bought a Samsung 250GB hard drive from MCE Technologies and had it installed by an authorized "Mac Repair Center". When I then tried to install Tiger from the OSX install discs that came with my MacBook Pro, I got the error when trying to select the hard drive: "Cannot install OSX on this volume. OSX cannot be booted from this volume."
I then booted the computer using my old hard drive connected via USB2 and used SuperDuper to copy all its content to the new internal hard drive and made it bootable. Now the computer is able to boot using the new hard drive. It seems rater slow though (not just booting but also working afterwards) and I cannot install Bootcamp. It gives me an error that I should reformat this hard drive and reinstall Osx, which is exactly what I can't do. Does anyone have an idea why my original MacBook Pro OSX Install Disc doesn't work anymore (I assume altered computer configuration...) and how I could do a fresh install of OSX onto the new hard drive anyway ?
Thanks a lot for your help!!When I then tried to install
Tiger from the OSX install discs that came with my
MacBook Pro, I got the error when trying to select
the hard drive: "Cannot install OSX on this volume.
OSX cannot be booted from this volume."
At this point, I would have recommended that you run Disk Utility from the installation disk and reformat the drive as Mac Extended (Journaled).
Open Disk Utility, click on the name of your drive to the left and check the format at the bottom. What does it say?

Cannot install Snow Leopard onto external drive
I'm attempting to install Snow Leopard on a second drive, an external bare drive in an Icy Dock enclosure connected to a MacPro (running 10.6.6) via serial port. Apple Disc Utility confirms that the external drive (a Seagate 325gb) has a partition map scheme GUID Partition Table. SMART Status is not supported. Connection Bus reads as SCSI but it's connected with a serial cable.
I'm able to perform the first part of the install by selecting the external drive but when I have to restart and complete the install from the original Snow Leopard disc (10.6), the external drive no longer shows up. I've tried several times and have restarted the Icy Dock external drive enclosure.
Any ideas? Thank you.Not necessarily. Use a backup utility so that you can deselect all the data from within your Home folder as well as third-party applications in order to create a bootable disk but without some of the excess. Any of the following should be suitable:
Backup Software Recommendations
Carbon Copy Cloner
Data Backup
Deja Vu
Silver Keeper
MimMac
Retrospect
Super Flexible File Synchronizer
SuperDuper!
Synchronize Pro! X
Synk Pro
Synk Standard
Tri-Backup

Cannot install Apple Mobile Device USB Driver
When I open iTunes my iPhone 4S will not show up as a device. I have tried the advice provided by Apple. I have gone through the iPhone Troubleshooting Assistant. That gave no solutions. I have tried the other solutions offered by Apple. I think that I have possibly identified the problem. As far as I know the Apple Mobile Device USB Driver is not installed on my computer. I have tried to install it but when I do I receive an error message. I repeat the entire error message in the following paragraph. The message appears in a dialogue box with the name: "Update Driver Software - iPhone".
"Windows encountered a problem installing the driver software for your device. Windows found driver software for your device but encountered an error while attempting to install it. Apple Mobile Device USB Driver. Access is denied. If you know the manufacturer of your device, you can visit its website and check the support section for driver software."
I cannot find a solution to this problem on Apple's website. How can I get this driver installed?
My version of iTunes is current. My PC's operating system is Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium Service Pack 2.if you haven't resolved that issue , i had the same problem and after 2 days working on it i found a solution , windows security wasn't letting me chage permisions or install any new software here's what i did :
1- control panel
2- system and security
3- under windows firewall click on allow a program over windows firewall
4- what i did was click on every single box there is on private not public
5- click accept , after i went to device manager right click iphone update driver , you shouldn't have the access denied anymore -
Cannot install OS on new hard drive - late '09 MBP
I have a late '09 MBP. Hard drive died, so I replaced it. I've been trying to install 10.6 from the Install DVD but have had no luck. I've held the c-key down while it has booted several times only to see the flashing question mark folder every time. I've also tried holding down the option-key while it has booted, which gave just a white screen. Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong?
CFJC,
do you mean that you have a Mid 2009 MacBook Pro? (Apple didn’t make a Late 2009 model.) Is it a 13-inch, 15-inch, or 17-inch model?
Are you using your grey Mac OS X Install DVD, or are you using the white retail Snow Leopard DVD?
If you’re using your grey Mac OS X Install DVD, are you certain that that disc goes with your particular model MacBook Pro? The grey installation DVDs are model-specific, and one which was made for another model won’t work with your model. On the lower-left “corner” of your Mac OS X Install DVD will be an identifying code of the form
2Z691-something-A
What is the value of that something on your disc?
Are you able to run your Apple Hardware Test by booting from your grey Applications Install DVD? If that also doesn’t work, then either you have the wrong pair of grey installation DVDs for your model, or your SuperDrive isn’t working. -
Cannot Install Windows on Clean Hard Drive
My wife's Toshiba Satellite E105-1802 was a horrific mess, so I decided to finally do a completely clean install as part of an upgrade to Windows 8. I backed up her files, put in the Windows 8 install disc, blew away all of the partitions, formatted the remaining partition and then discovered that I could not install Windows on it. For some reason, the bios is looking for a specific partition on the hard drive. I have no idea why this would be. I've probably built 30 PCs and I have NEVER had this happen.
I tried to reboot the computer to see what would happen and got an error indicating that no such partition exists, without specifying what partition it was looking for. I used the Windows install disc to create Partitions 1 thru 4. No dice. I have no idea what to do at this point.
Any thoughts? Here is the .ini file off of my recovery USB stick and it looks like it may contain what you will need. Good luck.

Cannot install windows 7 as cd drive does not reganise disc
Hi
Trying to install windows 7 on bootcamp but cd drive does not reganise the disc & keeps rejetting, please help
Nudge1Hi
The CD/DVD driver is part of the Microsoft system and also available on the Windows 7 installation disk.
Therefore there are no special CD/DVD drivers available.
I read about this theme in different forums and also on Microsoft support forum and mostly this issue appear if the Windows system disk is faulty/damage.
I dont know from where you got this disk but I recommend you to download an Windows iso file from Microsoft server as mentioned here:
http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=73726
Then you could create own Windows installation disk or USB flash memory stick
The serial key which you got with the Windows disk could be used for activation. -
Cannot install Mountain Lion on empty drive
I'm helping my father try to install the OS onto a newly installed internal drive on his Mac Pro. He's trying to install Mountain Lion, which is the same OS X generation as his usual boot drive (which is remaining in the system—the new drive is getting an OS as a backup boot drive).
The problem is that the Mountain Lion installer, downloaded from the App Store, refuses to install on the new drive. The drive, which is formatted but otherwise empty, does not appear as an available drive to install on.
My father believes that this is related to the note in the System Requirements saying that the Mac being installed on must already have Snow Leopard or Lion installed on it. I'm not so sure, but it's a valid question: can Mountain Lion be installed only as an upgrade, requiring an existing OS install on the actual drive being installed to?
My interpretation of the listed requirement is that you have to boot from Snow Leopard or later to do the install, because the installer has to contact the App Store, but the requirement is worded ambiguously enough that it could mean that the drive itself must have Snow Leopard or later on it. It doesn't make sense to me, though, for this installer to be useable only as an upgrade; there are numerous situations under which a person might need to install an OS on an empty drive.
So there's two questions here: can Mountain Lion be installed on an empty drive, and are there other likely reasons for the installer to not offer the drive in question as an available destination?Mark McKean wrote:

Yes, it can be installed on an empty drive but the drive must be properly partitioned and formatted first. The HD must have a "GUID Partition Table" which you establish when you first partition the drive (use the Options... button), and it must then be formatted Mac OS Extended (Journaled). Boot from his current drive and run the ML installer from there with the new drive as the target. Note that if you haven't actually downloaded the ML installer yet, when you do, it automatically starts running but you get the choice to continue and choose the drive.
Snow Leopard or Lion are mentioned as prerequisites because the days of install DVD's are over; the installer must be downloaded and at least Snow Leopard is necessary to get to the App Store to do that. -

Cannot install NEC USB 3.0 Driver for Windows 7 - Now no USB 3.0
I was trying to update the usb 3.0 driver on my G770 - connecting a USB 3.0 portable drive (or USB 3.0 flash) would slow down Windows and browsing from folder to folder would hang.
I downloaded the latest driver from the site...
NEC USB 3.0 Driver for Windows 7 (32-bit, 64-bit) - Lenovo G770 Notebook (IN5CAR01WW5.exe)
and it asks for Renesas Electronics USB 3.0 Host Controller Driver disk during the installation.
Renesas Electronics USB 3.0 Host Controller Driver for Windows XP exists but the driver for Windows 7 is NEC USB 3.0 Driver for Windows 7 (32-bit, 64-bit)
What to do?
error:Use the windows XP driver. They normally work fine.

That is what I ended up doing. It was a chore but it worked.

MichaelHi @dazed1 ,
I see by your post that you need the drivers for Windows 7 Pro 64 bit. I would like to help.
I checked the website and there is a Full Feature and Basic driver available for Windows 7 64 bit. HP LaserJet 1022n Printer Drivers. Did you try both of these drivers?
I would try and install the preinstalled Windows drivers, if you are having issues using the downloaded drivers on the site with your Windows 7 Pro 64 bit. Run the Add a printer wizard from Devices and Printers.
You could also plug and play the drivers. Connect the printer to the computer and see if Windows will detect the printer and install the drivers automatically.
Have a great day!
Thank You.
