Cannot install 11gR2 on Win7 Pro

My Setup:
Windows 7 Professional 64-bit
Laptop i3, 6GB RAM
Trying to install Oracle SE 11gR2 (64-bit) which I downloaded and verified from Oracle website.I get as far as the 'System Class' where I chose 'Desktop Class' then selected 'Next'. The window disappears and nothing happens...end of.
Looked in my log file (C:\Users\MyUserName\.oracle\logs), here is an extract....
INFO: [INS-07001] Value for property 'oracle_install_RACInstall' not found in the bean store.
INFO: [INS-07001] Value for property 'CLUSTER_NODES' not found in the bean store.

INFO: [INS-07001] Value for property 'oracle_install_db_SID' not found in the bean store.
Breakdown of what I did...
Downloaded Oracle SE 11gR2 (64-bit) as 2 zip files.
Ran Jacksum utility for windows to get the (cksum is Unix only utility)  ....thanks Oracle for not making this easier and also providing SHA, MD checksums
Used 7-zip and unzipped to common folder.
Ran the setup.exe and or oui.exe as administrator
Installer pops up
Input email address in security updates section and untick updates via My Oracle Support (I've noticed if I forget to input an email address here and go back and do so the installer still won't let me continue giving error..........[INS-08109] Unexpected error occurred while validating inputs at state 'getOCMDetails'.
I then tried...
setup.exe -debug -printtime -printmemory -printdiskusage -logLevel finest
But the same outcome!!
I tried just installing the software (Personal Edition) and got further but only got as far as the pre-requisite checks and it bombed out again at 100%!!
Installation path has no spaces btw.
I'm at my wits end

Make sure that you can access My Oracle Support site from this laptop when you install your software.
If this does not help try to configure silent install and you may need to add the following parameters:
./runInstaller -silent DECLINE_SECURITY_UPDATES=true SECURITY_UPDATES_VIA_MYORACLESUPPORT=false

I did not deactivate a photoshop cs6 before there was a new "C" hard drive installed on my computer and a Win7 Pro fresh install too. How can I activate photoshop on the new hardware if I can't deactivate it on the old hardware that is no longer available? Any help will be appreciated.

If it's the same machine (same CPU) there should not be any need to activate.  The actiovation is tied to your CPU.

  • Cannot install WinXP on Satellite Pro A200 - No HDD

    Hi,
Please can someone help me. I've just brought 52 Satellite Pro A200 laptops. They come with Vista pre-installed, but I want to wipe them and install Windows XP. However I have a big problem - when I put my XP CD in and boot from it and click Enter to continue, it tells me that the Installation cannot continue as Windows found no hard drives (although I can boot in Vista so I know the HDD are ok).
    Thanks for looking,
    Matt Courtman

I too had the HDD problem. Its because there are no drivers on the XP CD for SATA hard drives. What you have to do is use some free software called NLite and merge the SATA drivers with the files off the XP CD. (It really is ace). Available at
    http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/OS-Enhancements/nLite.shtml
Read this page it tells you exactly how to do it.(
http://news.softpedia.com/news/Install-Windows-XP-On-SATA-Without-a-Floppy-F6-47807.shtml). If I can manage it then anyone can. Using the NLite software you copy the contents of your XP CD to your hard drive. Then you download the SATA drivers (available from the tosh site), then you integrate the drivers with your XP CD files. Finally you create an ISO image and burn it to CD. When you then boot off your new CD and install XP, it detects the SATA drive. Hey Presto!!!

  • Cannot install WXP on Satellite Pro A300

    Hey guys,
I was hoping I could find some help on these forums. I hope I have posted this in the right place.
A while ago, Windows Vista went crazy on one of my laptops, and I wanted to install XP. (No, you cannot laugh at me). I have the XP Pro SP3 disc.
Although, even the recovery agent that Toshiba has on all of its laptops/computers could not fix these issues I had. I put the XP Pro Sp3 disc into the MAT****A DVD-RAM UJ880AS drive, hoping to use the formating tool on that so it would let me install XP as Microsoft/Windows made it impossible to revert. Anyway, the formatting went all well, and then the installation just came up with billions of errors.
I currently have a Ubuntu Live CD running on it, to make it actually DO something, and its working fine. But i really badly want XP on it.
I think the issue could be BAD SECTORS on the HDD.
    I need help, and input.
Do I buy a new HDD and hope the install works? Do I buy a whole new laptop?
Your help is appreciated like you wouldnt believe. This has been driving me nuts for ages.
    Brock

    Hello.
    1) Check if your compact disc has no scratches.
    2) Make sure that the lens of the DVD drive is clean (dust free). If not perform a cleaning operation by using cotton wool stick and alcohol (make it very accurate and avoid making any micro scratches).
    3) Backup all your data from all partitions. Then start a clean installation of Windows XP. In the setup remove all your existing partitions (make sure that after that you have ONLY unpartitioned space) then create new partitions of preferred size. Format those partitions in NTFS (Quick) mode. Finally, install the system onto partition C.
    That's it.
Good Luck to You, and keep posting your progress.
    Regards,
    Osman.

I have received the confirmation email, verified my address.

    Other way in
    I login to adobe.com sucessfully.
I cannot see anywhere in account/profile/comms etc for me to download Premiere. It just tells me I have purchased it.
But after a while the same 404 error pops up.
    I'm using Chrome/Yosemite
I am not running any malware/spyware removal progs.
Nor am I running sophos or other anti-virus software.
    Hugely frustrating..
    Any help massively appreciated

Cath I would recommend you utilize a different web browser to download and install the Creative Cloud Desktop application.  You can find additional details regarding the installation process at Creative Cloud Help | Download, install, update, or uninstall apps.  If you have any questions regarding the process you are welcome to update this discussion.

  • Cannot install windows on Satellite Pro A40

Hi I have read through all the posts and cant seem to find an answer.
    My problems is this ..
I have tried to install windows from a Full version and when I choose to install windows in a partition it fails. If I try to delete the partition it fails. If I use the recovery disks - Option 1 fails before it fully loads - looks like Gdisk? error and then goes in ghost. Option 2 Loads but when I go to install fails again.
I cannot find an option in the bios to prevent accessing the disk - like a boot virus protection. the lock key under the keyboard I have tried in both positions.
I have removed the battery to see if it is a power problem !
Tried using the recovery options in win xp - but cannot access the drive
The really strange thing is during the recovery disks option 2 - the drive size is bigger than the actual size by approx 1/3 ?
The system originally went down whilst connected to the internet - the only option I can thing of is a surge came down the line and damaged either the motherboard or the hardrive. As it has happened to a Desktop system - Blew 3 modems and an ups before we located the problem.
    HELP!!

    Hi,
did you already tried to check and format the drive with an external tool? I give you a suggestion: try the "ultimate boot cd" which has many tools also some tools for maintaining harddrives.
You can get the image here: http://www.ultimatebootcd.com/
Just burn it to a CD, boot it and choose the tool for your harddisk to check it and to repartition it.
    Hope it helps...

  • Cannot install Acrobat  9.0 Pro

I am trying to install Acrobat 9 pro trial version. When it's on the 99.96% the copy utilty pops up, saying something about my printer (epson) and the installation will stop. What should i do???

Did you download, install, and run the Windows Install Cleanup Utility to remove Acrobat? I assume that is NOT what you say in the "Windows Installer Cleanup script?"

I bought the CS6 Design and Web Premium. The installation broke up at 81%. Now the ADOBE ACROBAT X PRO is missing, it is not installed! What do I have to do noe?

  • Cannot Install Flash Player: Win7 x64, FF 15/Chrome 22

    Chrome Version 22.0.1229.79 m
    Firefox Version: 15.0.1
    Windows 7, x64
I get the "application is in use" error when I use the installer downloaded from the website.  Get it in safe mode.  Use taskmgr and ensure firefox and chrome are not running.  IE is not installed at all (Run > iexplore gives an error message 'cannot find iexplore').  I have tried to delete everything in the %tmp% folder, but I cannot get rid of
FXSAPIDebugLogFile (Google search shows this is a printing-related thing) or PDApp (Google sdearch shows this is somehow related to Adobe)
I've tried using 'Unlocker' which has let me get rid of files that are "in use by Windows" before, but that won't let me get rid of it.  The files are either in use by Windows Explorer or "cannot be found, please ensure something something something", I only get the 'in use' error message at time of posting.  I"m trying to clear my %tmp% based off of someone else having the same annoying error.
Ive already used the uninstaller to get rid of whatever version of Adobe Flash -was- installed.  Whatever we did have caused Firefox to lock up on pretty mujch any page with a limited script (Youtube.com > enter > freeze.  Google search > freeze.  Flash based web game > freeze, my guild's website's splash page with two links and an image > OK, open forums > freeze).
And to make htings even more annoying, the installer deletes itself on failure, which means I have to open the browser (That can't be open while I install) to grab it again.  I now have about 15 copies of the installer sprawled across my desktop.
    Help. T_T

Could you try the steps that I outline in this post:  http://forums.adobe.com/message/4723798#4723798
Please let me know how it goes.

  • Cannot install 9i on XP Pro

    Hi,
I downloaded the three files and started setup from Disk1, after about
five minutes, before any screen shows up, the setup terminates.Any
    idea?
    Thanks,
    Tracy

    Tracy,
I was able to install, but I needed to go into the install/win32 and run that setup. The one in the root of the folder did not work for me. Couple notes though, it took much longer to install than on my W2k machine (even though the XP machine is much faster) and once it installed I cannot connect to it. It keeps complaining that there is no listener.
If anyone can tell me how to get the listner working, I am all ears...

  • Cannot install CS6 on Macbook Pro OSX 10.8

So I took advantage of a sale for educators and bought Photoshop CS6 and I'm following the instructions, I downloaded the Akamai download manager and followed the instructions on the .pdf that it came with. After the download concluded, I click on open bundle and it asks if I wish to open the file downloaded from the internet (Photoshop_13_LS16.exe) and I click Open and then... nothing.
    EDIT:
Okay, I opened the 7z file using stuffit expander, however I still do not see how to install the program on my mac here as it only has setup.exe in there, no install.app like the instructions inside that folder say.
    What am I doing wrong?

Also check your order to make sure that you've purchased a Mac version. You may have purchased a Windows version, and that is why the Windows version was offerred for download.

    Here are additional Details:
    Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU T5450 @1,66GHz 1,67 GHz
    Memory(RAM): 2046 MB
    System type: 32-bit Operating System
    Is anything possible?
Which version of Adobe Acrobat would you recommend?

    Hi Zurab,
It sounds like you might not have SP2 installed for WIndows Vista.  http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobatpro/tech-specs.html
Acrobat 9 did not require any Vista Service packs to be installed.
