So, if I understand correctly, I have:
- first to uninstall the old applications,
- then to run CC Cleaner tool,
- and finally to install the 2014 applications.
Right?

Gianfi these type of errors are common when applications or files were migrated.  It is possible to recover from this event however.  Please run all available Adobe Installers located in the Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers folder.  Once this is done you will also want to use the CC Cleaner Tool to ensure complete removal.  You can find details on the use of the CC Cleaner tool at Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6 - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cs5-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html.

As my subject mentioned, after the ios 8 update, i cannot install or update app.  I have done everything like calling the tech support, follow their instructions etc.. Some of the things i had done were
    Soft reset ipad
    Hard reset ipad
logout of itune store and login
delete everything on ipad and restore from itunes.
All these doesn't work and the problem keeps coming back again.  This is frustrating that Apple would release an update like this that would break my ipad air. On top of that, quite a lot of app are not working eg zinio, evernote.  My ipad air has been in this mode eversince the update release and i had mostly given up to resolve it.  For all other ipad owners, if you want to avoid this anguish don't update to ios 8.

You are not alone. Here's one thread
Why can't I download or update apps on iPad running iOS 8
If you have the WSJ app installed, delete it and see if that fixes things. It immediately fixed it for me, but not for all people with the problem.

I have an iPod Touch which I've had for almost 4 years, with 32 GB of memory. I am unable to update it, and consequently cannot install any newer apps. I am very disappointed that I spent a lot of $$; now Apple wants me to spend $$ again to get a new one. As I mentioned, I am pretty upset. Does anyone know if there's a work around?

I suspect you have a 2G iPod. Those can only go to iOS 4.2.1.

    iPod touch (3rd generation)
iPod touch (3rd generation) features a 3.5-inch (diagonal) widescreen multi-touch display and 32 GB or 64 GB flash drive. You can browse the web with Safari and watch YouTube videos with Wi-Fi. You can also search, preview, and buy songs from the iTunes Wi-Fi Music Store on iPod touch.
The iPod touch (3rd generation) can be distinguished from iPod touch (2nd generation) by looking at the back of the device. In the text below the engraving, look for the model number. iPod touch (2nd generation) is model A1288, and iPod touch (3rd generation) is model A1318.

  • HT201210 I cannot install by synchronizing apps to my Iphone 5

Please, help is needed. I cannot install by synchronizing apps from itune to my Iphone 5.

The sync process for iTunes content is a one way transfer process only - from your computer to your iPhone, or from your iPhone to your computer for any iTunes content that was purchased/downloaded from the iTunes store with your iPhone.
This is one of the reasons why including your iTunes library with your computer's backup along with all other important data is important.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1751
iTunes includes an option to transfer iTunes content that was purchased/downloaded from the iTunes store from an iPod, iPad, or iPhone, but this is for iTunes content on your iPhone that was purchased/downloaded from the iTunes store only.
First you need to re-authorize your computer with your iTunes account with iTunes if you haven't already done so. With your iPhone connected to iTunes and without syncing, at the iTunes menu bar go to File and select Transfer Purchases From - the name of your iPhone.

  • Cannot install updates from app store

    imac 2012, 2.7GHz i5, 8GB, Yosemite 10.10.2
After updating to Yosemite 10.10.1 the app store stopped installing system apps such as 10.10.2, iTunes, Hp and Epson updates, iMovies etc. I solved the 10.10.2 update by downloading and directly installing but the app store still did not not allow updates for security updates, iTunes etc.
App store lists the updates available, I click update, it says installing for 2 seconds, then says installed and lists the installed app under 'updates installed in the last 30days'. A few seconds later the app returns under 'updates available' as needing updating.
After trying verify and fix disk and verify and fix permissions without success, I reinstalled Yosemite 10.10.2 by using CMD R and selecting reinstall OS X, however the problem is exactly the same - I cannot update OS X software apps.
    Any ideas?

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad and start typing the name.
The title of the Console window should be All Messages. If it isn't, select
SYSTEM LOG QUERIES ▹ All Messages
from the log list on the left. If you don't see that list, select
              View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar at the top of the screen.
Click the Clear Display icon in the toolbar. Then try to update. Select any messages that appear in the Console window. Copy them to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Paste into a reply to this message by pressing command-V.

  • Cannot install or update Apps. Help!

Using my iPad Air (latest iOS 8.0.2 (12A405) installed.
I am completely unable to update the three apps it says "UPDATE" (meaning, these apps have an update for it.
Also, unable to install any new apps -- whether brand new, free, or previously installed-then-deleted-but-still-accesible-in-cloud.
I tried a Network reset, but that isn't it.
    Anyone!??! Ideas?

I just rang and they helped me with this issue.
Make sure you know your wifi password. The following fix didn't require a restore or for me to lose any other data.
Go to Settings, General, Reset, Reset all settings. Reset, Reset, (It might ask for the devices password).
Once the reset is done, open the apple store and search for the apps that aren't working and download them directly from the app store.
I really hope that it helps everyone. I'd be keen to know if it helps.

I see on those packages dependencies are "lib 32" libraries... is that what i need to install? Installing gcc-multilib is the solution?

  • Cannot install a single App without stalling - Windows 8 - Help!

I have uninstalled my previous CS3 installation.
Logged in as Admin, downloaded Creative Cloud App and tried to install Photoshop - it stalled at 85%.
Uninstalled Creative Cloud. Ran the Creative Cloud Cleaner tool, rebooted, reinstalled Creative Cloud and tried again. Same result. Have done this with Flash Professional, Lightroom all with same result.
The application will still run (even though it says it has not finished installing) - but it is as if it is not updating the CC Desktop application so I cannot move on to install the next application.
I tried to post my install log here, but the forum returned an error, asking me to 'try again later m5'...grrrrrrr
    Any ideas?
    Jim

Was advised by Adobe Helpdesk to browse to %temp% find the setup file and install from there. Did that for Photoshop and yes, it installed it. However, it did not update the Creative Cloud Desktop (still showing my Photoshop stalled at 85%), so no way to progress any other application downloads. Tried deleting the contents of the OOBE directory as well, hoping it would recreate itself after reboot (as per another suggestion) but nope.
Here's a tip Adobe (having used your software for years)...listen to your customer base...many people are having problems with CC, so why not make the installers a simple download with authentication via Adobe Login credentials during setup?
Crikey. Please fix this pathetic install process.

  • Multiple errors when syncing and cannot install media or apps

I had some problems uninstalling apps from my new BlackBerry Curve 9300 -- the phone froze and I foolishly disconnected it from my Mac without "ejecting" it -- and now I am having big problems syncing. I cannot add media or new apps to the BB and when I tried resetting the phone by removing the battery I encountered the following error message: "Uncaught exception: java.lang.Error".
In addition, when I connect the BB to my Mac with the USB cable I get the following error from Mac OS: "Mac OS X can't repair the disk 'NO NAME." The BB appears on my desktop as a read-only disk.
I can sync information (contacts and calendars) but I cannot sync media. The error message is: "BlackBerry requires write permissions on your media card to sync your media files." Obviously, the permissions have been damaged.
And finally, when I try to add new apps to the BB using BlackBerry Desktop Software, I get the following error message: "BlackBerry Desktop Software failed to validate your BlackBerry device update. Aborting install due to validation failure. Some packages contained unsatisfied dependencies."
Yes, so I have created quite a problem. What do I do? I don't mind wiping the BB and starting fresh, but I don't know even how to do that!
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I posted this question in this forum because I think it is a Mac-BlackBerry problem, perhaps something to do with disk permissions?
    -RE.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

I opened the log file in Blackberry Desktop and the "unsatisfied dependencies" error was highlighted in red. I don't understand computer logs; however, it seemed to me that Desktop was looking for the BlackBerry Podcase app, which I had deleted. I reinstalled it using BlackBerry AppWorld on my BB and now Desktop and my BB are talking to each other again.
The moral of the lesson: don't ever delete an app on your BB with the word "BlackBerry" in it.
I still don't know how the permissions problem with the media card fixed itself.

  • Cannot install any new apps due to HD not being recognised as a volume

    Hi there,
I've been trying to install several new applications for a while now, and after the license agreement screen, the option to select the HD as destination is skipped (the HD isn't even shown as an option) and I immediately get the message saying that there isn't enough free space on the selected volume "null".
It's clearly not a space issue as I have 20GB free.
I was on the phone to apple care for an hour and we repaired disk permissions and the disk verifies fine (from the installation CD), so I have no idea what is wrong.
I'm just installing with the .dmg files on the desktop, and opening the disks from there. This has always worked in the past, as the applications are then transferred to the applications folder. I've even tried installing from there too, to no avail.
Any ideas would be very much appreciated.
    Thanks!
    Lauren

I see you've done some of this already, but offer the full route anyway, maybe you can start with the Safe Boot part...
    "Try Disk Utility
    1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc that came with your computer, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
    2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.
    3. Click the First Aid tab.
    4. Click the disclosure triangle to the left of the hard drive icon to display the names of your hard disk volumes and partitions.
    5. Select your Mac OS X volume.
    6. Click Repair. Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=106214
Then Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot.
The usual reason why updates fail or mess things up, is if Permissions are not fixed before & after every update, with a reboot... you may get a partial update when the installer finds it doesn't have Permissions to change one obscure little part of the OS, leaving you with a mix of OS versions.
Some people get away without Repairing Permissions for years, some for only days.
If Permissions are wrong before applying an update, you could get mixed OS versions, if Directory is the slightest messed up, who knows!
If many Permission are repaired, or any Directory errors are found, you may need to re-apply some the latest/biggest updates again, or even do an A&I if you have enough free disk space.
An Archive & Install, which gives you a new OS, but can preserve all your files, pics, music, settings, etc...

  • Cannot install apps from App Store after iOS 7.04 upgrade

    Hi everyone
I am new to iPad and Apple, and wonder if someone can please help me with this problem. I upgraded to iOS 7.04 yesterday, and today I cannot install any new apps from the App Store. Before the upgrade I could do this no problem. The 2 apps I am trying to download are free ones - eBay and Yahoo Mail.
I have tried to search for a solution in the discussions on here, but have only found threads from Sept 13, which point to Apple's servers being overloaded and people should wait until after the hubbub of the recent upgrade has died down. As it's now Feb 14, I would have thought things would be ok now, so feel my problem maybe nothing to do with that.
Two other bits of advice I found, I have also checked...... The date and time in settings are correct, and I believe I am signed in (but only because a 'sign in' is not showing so that's my assumption). The only advice I have not tried is hitting reset on my iPad as I'm nervous of loosing my stuff.
When I go into the App Store, select the app I want, click 'free' and then 'install', the blue spinning arrow appears. I leave it to install, but when I check later, it's still spinning. I've even left it a good 15 mins, which for those 2 apps would be way more time than needed.
Has anyone else has this same problem, and successfully found a solution? I would really appreciate some advice please.
    Thanks, Vikki

Try this, press and hold both the home and power buttons 10-15 seconds till the Apple logo appears. Release both buttons. Wait 15-20 seconds till your iPad starts on it's own. If they don't download at least the timer should stop.
