Cannot install Adobe flash player. the 'get+"installer keeps saying it cannot pass the integrity test.

have win xp, latest versions of firefox and adobe' flash player. It works on the Explorer, but firefox calls for a missing plugin. When I try to download it, keep getting the "failed integrity test" message from the "get plus downloader". I tried all recommended remedies, including reinstalling firefox - nothing works.

Getplus is Adobe's download manager (Adobe DLM). Try downloading the installer and installing it yourself to see if you can get it.

You'll continue to have trouble, because...
There is no more Flash Player for Android and there won't be another. Android is no longer compatible with Flash Player. Playing Flash content is very processor consumptive and it drains your battery, also shortening the life of it. Android (Google) recommends using either "Dolphin" or "Puffin" as your browser if you need to view Flash content with a mobile device running Android. They're both free in the GooglePlay store.
These browsers use "server side" rendering to reduce the load on your device.

"Ctrl+Shift+Esc" placing you into the Windows Task Manager, you need to be in the in the "Processes" tab to make sure that firefox.exe is no longer running -- if it is running then terminate it by selecting the use "End Process" button or from context menu. (That is a Windows 7 keyboard shortcut not in earlier versions of Windows)

• I have firefox 3.6.12 and every time it asks me to instal adobe flash player it gets to a screen that tells me that it will be installed when the conflicting application firefox is closed

Once I have closed firefox it will load the latest version of flash player but this will turn up in the internet explorer software but will not load the plu in into firefox which is my preferred browser. Hence all programs requiring this send me into a loop of frustration.

There are two versions of Flash, one for IE ''(the ActiveX version)'' and one for all other browsers, the Plugin version. You need to install the Plugin version, in addition to the ActiveX version - both should appear in Add / Remove Programs in the Windows Control Panel.
1.Download the Flash setup file from here:
[http://fpdownload.adobe.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player.exe Adobe Flash - Plugin version].
Save it to your Desktop.
2. Close Firefox using File > Exit
then check the Task Manager > Processes tab to make sure '''firefox.exe''' is closed,
{ Ctrl+Alt+Del = Processes tab}
3. Then run the Flash setup file from your Desktop.

I keep getting a pop up message when I turn AOL on with an installation window to install Flash Player 10.1 but the the box install is not highlighted and I have to X out of it to remove the window. This window keeps repeating itself. I tried installing it when the first pop up appeared. The box was high lighted then and the installation started but did not install. I have checked the list of installed programs and it is not listed. I tried to download the program but it starts installing and a message saying remove any previous version. How can I remove this pop up and download the program? Thanks.

• I have a new mini ipad and need to install Adobe Flash Player on it in order to use certain items on the internet. Can Adobe Flash Player be installed an used on my ipad??

I have my first ipad. It is the mini version. I'm trying to go to certain sites on the internet that tell me I need to update or install Adobe Flash Player. When I try to down load Adobe Flash Player I get a message saying "this device does not support Adobe Flash Player". Can I not use Adobe Flash Player on my ipad like I do on my computers and my iphone???

You can't install flash player on your iPad, nor on your iPhone - it's not supported on iOS devices, and as Adobe have stopped development on all mobile versions of it, it probably never will be.
Browser apps such as Skyfire, iSwifter, Puffin and Photon 'work' on some sites. Also some websites have their own apps in the App Store.

• Why can't I install Adobe Flash player? Everything was fine until your latest version about 2 weeks ago. I'm missing out on a lot of stuff. Thanks for your help.

Ever since I upgraded firefox about 2 weeks ago I no longer have Adobe Flash so a lot of my e-mails won't even open up. I can't get anything from YouTube. When I try to install Adobe Flash Player I get a message that says since I have Mozilla I can't get it. Is there a work around?
Thanks

You have Shockwave Flash 7.0 r19 installed for Firefox, in addition to Shockwave Flash 10.2 r153. You need to get rid of that old version which is overriding Firefox from using the later version.
See if you can remove that old version from the Control Panel > Add /Remove Programs. If it isn't listed there, remove the NPSWF32.dll file for that version from the \Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\plugins\ folder - (right-click that file and open Properties and then view the Version tab to verify it is that old version of Flash, if you have more than one of those files in that folder.)

• How can I install Adobe flash player on my Mac using Safari OR Chrome? I have gone through every step on all of the help pages. The installation process always stops with the black box that briefly says, "Retrieving Install . . . ", then nothing.

I have followed every step in the various help pages I was directed to when troubleshooting the inability to install Adobe Flash Player on my Mac using either Safari or Chrome. Everything has failed. I always get the black box that says briefly, "Retrieving instal. . . " and then goes blank. When I close that window, I get the message, "Adobe Flash Player could not be installed." Then it gives some links to follow for troubleshooting. I have followed ALL of the links there and on other help pages, to no avail. I've run into problems installing Adobe before, but it's never been this bad. Would someone please develop another format besides Adobe? Trying to get help from Adobe feels a little like trying to find a building in New York City with no map or GPS. The time required is voluminous, the emotional energy a/k/a frustration is overwhelming, and long before I get anything resolved, I wish the earth would open up and swallow all things Adobe@. Absence that miraculous intervention, I have to figure out what to do next. Does anyone know? Anyone?

Same question, same answer: use the offline installer http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/latest/help/install_flash_player_osx.dmg

This password prompt is presented by your operating system, and is intended to keep you from accidentally installing software.
If this is your personal machine and you don't need a password to log into the computer when it first starts up, you can probably leave the password blank and click OK to get past this prompt. If this is your personal machine and your normal password isn't working, check to make sure that CAPS LOCK is off, and type the password carefully.
If this is your work machine and it's asking for an Administrator password, well, you'll need to have a conversation with your friendly IT person.

I have a mac computer that uses no password. When installing flash player I get the message "Install adobe flash player wants to make changes Type your password to allow this. I can't get past this message.

Hi,
To change your password you will need to open System Preferences, then open Users & Groups, click on Change Password. Change your password to a temporary one, then when you have finished you do the same procedure to change it back, by typing in the temp password then leaving the new password blank. Hope this helps.
