Cannot install AIR 3.2.0.2070 on Windows 7 (32 bit)

I am not able to install the latest version of Adobe AIR. I am running Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit SP1.
Adobe AIR shows up as a program on the programs list in Windows control panel, however I get the following message when I try to run a program that requires Adobe AIR):
"This application requires a version of Adobe AIR which cannot be found"
I could remove it with the help of the Microsoft FixIt Utility but I am not able to install it correctly. I tried running it in XP SP2 Compatibility Mode with no luck.
The installation log is set forth below. Please help. Thanks.

Could you try creating a new, temporary user account and see if you can install from there?

  • Cannot install Boot Camp 3.2 upgrade for Windows 7 64 bit

I recently installed Windows 7 64 bit on my macbook. I also installed Boot Camp 3.0.1 after Windows 7 installation, however, WiFi did not work. Therefore, I needed to upgrade to the latest Boot Camp 3.2. However, when I tried to install Boot Camp 3.2 upgrade for Windows 7 74 bit, I got an error message saying that I needed Boot Camp 3.1 installed first. I CANNOT find Boot Camp 3.1 upgrade for Windows 7 64 bit on Apple website at all. Can someone please help me on this? Is there a way to get the complete Boot Camp 3.2 package that can simply be installed on version 3.0.1??

here is the link to bootcamp 3.1 for windows 7 64 bit http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1336 .. and no there is no package that can be applied to the windows side to go from 3.0.1 to 3.2

  • Cannot Install itunes 9.1.1.12 on Windows 7 64-bit

I keep getting the same error whenever I try to install iTunes: +This iTunes installer is intended for a 32-bit version of Windows. Please download and install the 64-bit iTunes install instead.+
According to this link: http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1037, it is the 64-bit installation software.
So I tried this as suggested by Microsoft: +Use the Windows Installer Cleanup Tool and see if it helps. Click here to download. Then try to install the most current version of iTunes.+
    I did that...but nothing.
So I tried this suggestion...+Right click your mouse, next you will see a drop down menu and in the middle you will see "Install as Administrator" Left click on that option and let the install begin.+
That didn't help either. I got the same error message of the 32-bit thing.
Each time I try to install, I make sure all Apple sofware has been removed from my computer, even any iTunes files in my Music Folder, etc. Then I reboot. I even cleared all of my internet caches.
I'm not sure what else to do. This is a new computer, we got it about four days ago.

Okay, the bookkeeper's office has firefox, so husband downloaded it using his computer. But once I tried to install on my home computer, I got the same 32-bit message. Something you mentioned did catch my attention: iTunes64setup.exe
This is what the properties read on the installer:
    File Version: 9.1.1.12
    Original File Name: iTunessetup.exe
Is this where the problem is? Should it say iTunes64setup.exe?
He has been clicking on 64-bit link. But it seems to not be downloading an iTunes64setup.exe file, but is instead downloading iTunessetup.exe. Does this have to do with his work computer not being 64-bit? Do you have to download from a 64-bit computer?
Again, thanks for responding. I really appreciate it.

  • I cannot install iTunes 11.0.1 on my Windows 8 64 bit PC

ITunes 11.0.1 will not install on my Windows 8 64 bit PC.  It downloads 55.60 MB of 56.80 MB the hangs untild I stop the app through the Windows Task Manager.  Anyone have any ideas?  Maybe it won't install on a 64bit PC?

I'd first try downloading an installer from the Apple website using a different web browser:
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
If you use Firefox instead of IE for the download (or vice versa), do you get a working installer?

  • Cannot install AIR on one Admin user on Macbook

    Hi,
I have read these forums and only found one reference to this problem, but the solution posted there did not work.  My problem is that under my usual user (admin privileges) I cannot install AIR (it does the installation, but at the end I am left with a empty Adobe AIR window with no messages or buttons to press).  If I try to install AIR apps after this, the installer opens but does not do anything.
I tested creating a new account with Admin privileges and I was able to install AIR and its applications with no problems.
I am assuming that somewhere in my user files there must be some configuration files that is damaged and that I must erase in order for everything to work ok again, but I have not been able to find that solution.
    Any ideas?
    LA

After uninstall be sure this folder (\Users\USERNAME\Library\Application Support\Adobe\AIR) is deleted. If not throw it to the trash, and empty the trash. If you have any other AIR apps installed you will most likely need to reinstall them.

I cannot install Creative Suite 5.5 on my Windows 7 Professional. I keep getting error message: "Exit Code: 15 - Media DB sync failed". I have disabled UAC and Startup items and Services with no luck. Can you please help?

I am sorry Erickkasner but there is no longer direct support provided for Creative Suite 5.5 installation issues.
You are welcome to post any specific errors you are able to discover within your installation log to this discussion.  Since you are using Windows then Exit Code 15 could mean one of the following:
    Installer database is corrupted
Update pending to your operating system
Improper permissions set for the Media.db
The installation log file should provide additional insight into the exact error you are experiencing.  Please make sure to use the find command to look for the words 'ERROR' and 'FATAL' to locate the relevant error messages.

  • HT1925 I cannot install the latest version of Itunes under Windows XP because itunes.msi cannot be found in order to remove the older version (11.0.1.12) of itunes

    (1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):
    http://majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=4459
    (2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (If you're on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 system and you get a Code 800A0046 error message when doubleclicking the msicuu2.exe file, try instead right-clicking on the msicuu2.exe file and selecting "Run as administrator".)
    (3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
    (4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
    (5) Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?

I cannot install xmlp plugin for word 2007 on Windows 7 64bit. I keep getting a "java runtime not installed" error. I have applied the latest updates to word. Is there a fix to this?

    Hi,
Even if you use a 64bit OS, the office version could be either 32bit or 64bit. Which one do you use? If already installed a 64bit version Office, try to switch to a 32bit one, because it will work fine and might solve your problem too.

Nothing in the Acrobat 8.x product family is compatible with Windows 7 (or any contemporary OS).

The current release of Acrobat (XI) is compatible in Windows 7.

  • Cannot install AIR app in an existing folder

Hi to all, I'm trying to create a setup for my AIR application. I have an NSIS script that install all the files that the AIR app needs in the targer folder. The AIR app is copied in a temp dir and then is lauched for installation but the installer said that it cannot install the application because the target folder is existing? What can I do to remove this check?
    Thanks a lot,
       Andrea

    Correction to above.
Can't find folders to choose to place bookmarked item into. There is no list like I had in my XP laptop.

  • Cannot install Air help - Error Nr. 0

When I try to install a compiled Air Help, the installer always informs me that an error occured and that I should try again. The Error number 0 is displayed - does anybody know what this stands for? This does not seem like a very helpful information for endusers without further explanation..

I cannot help you with the error message but I can clarify when admin rights are required. You need them to install an AIR file and to apply an update. You do not need admin rights to use an installed AIR help system.
