Cannot install audio driver because Microsoft bus driver should be installed

hello!
I have a satellite serie A laptop. When i try to install audio drivers it says "Microsoft bus driver should be loaded before installing Realtek High definition audio driver".
I've downloaded KB835221 and kb888111xpsp2 uplods and they should fix the problem, but they didn't. what should i do now?

Hello Jan
I presume you want to install your own operating system (probably WXP Pro) only thing you must do is to install all drivers and Toshiba designed stuff in right order. I dont know which notebook model you have exactly but check if you can find installations instructions document.
If you have newer unit A series be sure that WXP contains SP2.

  • HT4818 Why can't you create a Windows USB on a computer with an optical drive because my optical drive has failed

I get my USB and my Windows 7.iso but when I open bootcamp the option to create a Windows USB is not clickable. Please help because my Optical Drive doesn't work.

    Hi Rosera,
This is bad and I am sorry to hear that you are running into these issues.
Let me connect with you, so right now, the current state is that you have installed copy of PSE 8 in trial on your windows 7 machine, and when you are trying to enter the serial number from your PSE 8 Box, it is saying the serial number to be invalid?
It might sound pretty obvious, but please make sure that you are entering the serial number correctly and of PSE 8(in case you bought a PEPE box)?
Have you tried the steps mentioned below by Barbara?
If possible, you can send me the serial number through PRIVATE MESSAGE and I can check it on my end that whether the serial number is indeed invalid or that the issue is with your machine?

  • EVERY start-up automatic (?) 'installing update' fails because 'The update could not be installed. ...'

EVERY start-up I have to wait while Firefox says 'installing update' and than 'The update could not be installed. Please make sure there are no other copies of Firefox running on your computer, and then restart Firefox to try again' while there are no other versions running!

It was due to using an old version of Adobe Air. There really should be a tighly coupled error that either updates Adobe Air for me, or links me to the update. I was only able to find the solution using intuition as a techy.
Now I can install the Muse demo.

  • How can i install audio content on a different drive

i did install logic studio 8 without all the jam pack cause i was short on drive space and i am wondering how i can install the rest of the dvd's on a different drive....i am using a macbook with 60 gig HD so i didnt have any other choice than unchecking all the jam pack if i wanted to install the appz
    TIA !!
    Gprok

In the installer, next to each jamppack is a drill-down arrow - open that and you can choose where to install the loop content.
The instrument content has to go to your Garageband Instruments directory, but you can move the sample content (exception: the "Hybrid Synthesizers" sample folder) to your external drive afterwords, as long as you leave the instrument and settings files where they are.

The Apps you probably want require a later iOS than your Device is capable of installing...
All you can do is replace your device.

  • Install Leopard question, and How much RAM should I install on my G5?

I recently bought a G5 Power Mac (11,2) 2.3 ghz, with 2 GB Ram. It has 10.4 installed and the installation disks for 10.4.
I am interested in installing Leopard (I have a drop-in DVD from a different computer), but think it would be wise to first partition the HD so that I can also run 10.4 and Classic from time to time. What's the best way for me to go about this? I haven't put anything on the machine, so there is nothing to back up. After I have the systems installed, then I was going to migrate from my powerbook.
I wonder whether I should upgrade the RAM first. It has 1 GIG each in two slots, so there's plenty of capacity.
Also, the G5 has no airport card installed. Can I set up sharing with my powerbook, via firewire, in a way that I can use the powerbook's wifi signal on the G5? Is this possible with 10.4, 10.5, or both?

Hi maui_arbor, and a warm welcome to the forums!
I'd upgrade to at least 4GB for Leopard, or more...

First, are you sure that Disc will work on a G5? Does it boot from it?
Secondly, I'd really not partition for OSX unless it's a GB HD or larger, I'd put a second HD in it for Leopard.

Yes, Internet Sharing via FW or Ethernet. Another option...

  • Trying to install OS X to new hard drive but broken optical drive

I replaced my macbook pro hard drive with a new one but can't install OS X onto the new hard drive because my optical drive doesn't work. I have an external optical drive that I can connect to my macbook pro but the OS X install DVD won't run.
I have settled for now to putting back my old hard drive into my macbook pro and have been trying to figure out a solution to my problem by looking around and the only possible solution I could find was replacing the optical drive itself which as much as possible, I am trying to avoid as my macbook pro is past 3 years old (approaching 4).

Will it work even though the hard drive itself is blank and I am trying to install OS X into the blank hard drive that I put inside my macbook pro? I thought by start up it meant that OS X was already installed on the hard drive. I hope that made sense.
Thank you though. I'll try it out and post what happened.
Sorry. I'm not really that literate technologically speaking or with configuring macbook pro settings. I'm just really trying things I've been searching and going along with what I can find.

  • Reinstall OS hangup: Install disk can't find hard drive

    Hi all,
I'm trying to reinstall OS X.3 on my daughter's iBook G4. I had it running ok but Safari wasn't working so I decided to do a clean install of the OS.
Somewhere along the line the internal HD disappeared from the install disk's radar, so to speak. If you're familiar with the install sequence, I can pin-point where things go wrong. Right after the window concerning software agreement--where you check "I agree"--the next window instantly opens asking where to install the software. The problem is the window does not show any drive to select. It's all just white space.
The reason I have to keep trying to reinstall the OS is that if I allow the computer to boot itself, it will display the prohibitory sign (circle with diagonal line) and that's as far as it goes. I have tried using the original install CD, another Panther disk, a Tiger disk and TechTool Pro 4. I've also been able to bring up Apple's own Disk Utility but it can't repair the disk--something is wrong with the allocation section of the volume structure, it reports.
Here's another clue: The battery will no longer hold a charge. This created a bad situation during my first attempt to reinstall the OS, because the power cable accidentally got pulled out and there was apparently no power in the battery so everything grounded to a halt. I haven't been able to get the computer to boot up since.
I realize I may have to erase her drive in order to get up and going again, but, failing to heed Daddy's past warnings to Backup! Backup! Backup! she has no way to restore her data. This is, of course, tragic.
Any ideas? Any lifelines to throw out?
Thanks for reading this rather lengthy post. Help, as always would be most appreciated.

Powerbook G3 Pismo FW   Mac OS X (10.3)

You need to reformat the drive before reinstalling the OS or do an Archive install. It wont let you install the OS because there is a newer version installed (is it upgraded to 10.3.9?).
From the sounds of things you'll want to do an archive install. Go down to options (it will show up on the bottom of the installer window where the drives show up). Then click on it and select archive install and away you go.

  • I have iphoto 4.0.3. Should i install canon a630 software?

Hi. I have the new digital camera Canon a630 that has its own software that claims to install pictures in the pictures folder. Should I install this soft ware or just use a media card reader...in order to keep iphoto as thephoto organizer of choice on my desktop. I haven't upgraded it as it has all I need!!
    Thanks in advance.
    Lisa

Thanks SMTR! I did get the image browser on the softward CD - and I've never had a camera that does the videos so thanks for the great tips!
Either of yours or EWWs answers really did address my question but eww got there first so I said he solved it! I always worry about "hurting things"!
    original ? > Lisa,
If you like iPhoto, I do recommend using a card
reader for importing directly into iPhoto. It makes
things so easy. I've read that iPhoto 4 can choke on
video clips from newer cameras, so you might want to
import them separately from your photos with a
different application ( Image Capture or the Canon
    software).
Did your camera come with ImageBrowser? I have a
version of that. It's a file browser, so mostly
incompatible with iPhoto (since you are not supposed
to mess around with the files in the iPhoto library
folder). However, I keep it for occasional, specific
uses. I like how it plays video clips right in the
main window. And it has a really cool utility called
MovieEditTask that can stitch together video clips
and do light editing. It lets you rotate a video clip
90 degrees, which iMovie does not do. I have used it
for light video editing before importing into iMovie
and was pleased with the results.
Anyway, I agree with eww- it's free, it won't hurt
anything, so you might as well give it a whirl.

    Hi,
The problem is a unsuccesful installation of driver in the driverstore, the first step would be to ensure that you are using the latest driver for the hardware and operating system or you’re experiencing
    compatibility issues with a driver.
Then I suggest pressing shift+f10, and type diskpart then lisk disk, view whether all disks work fine.

  • Satellite A300D-15B PSAKCE - Cannot install the Win XP 64bit sound driver

    Hello all,
This is my first post here after lurking for the last week or two, My hope is that somewhere here there is help and hence hope!
I have a wonderful Toshiba A300D-15B PSAKCE with 4GB/O RAM, however I am suffering from some problems that the holy SEARCH function cannot solve. I use this laptop as a development box for uni/work alas...
After an absolute nightmare with Vista32 and Vista64 I decided to go back to windows XP32, however this wont install, keeps claiming a CRC file failure after (and yes this is with the SATA in IDE mode and with an XPSP2 disk)
I decided that I really DONT want to goback to Vista, so installed Windows XP64. Now the initial Instal goes very easy, I have the basic setup, the chipset, graphics, network, processor, usb, pretty much the basic... except... and this is where I have lost most of my hair.... SOUND!
Firstly attempting to install the sound driver results in Failure, claiming the mmdriver.inf cannot be found or corrupt, obviously I checked, and yes there it is, for the sake of it downloaded the MMDRIVER.INF and placed it system32, and still the install fails.
I have also tried a "Manual Install", from the .inf files... this includes the XP32/64 drivers and the Vista 32/64 bit drivers, still the same
problem, driver continues to fail install. I am becoming increasingly bald. Outstanding Drivers that WONT install
*-Audio Device on High Defninition Audio Bus*
    *-Mass Storage Controller*
*-Modem Device on High Defninition Audio Bus*
    *-USB Device*
If the following is any help, (Sandra 2008)
    *-Disk Controller*
(AMD(ATI) SB700 SATA Controller [IDE Mode])
    *-Disk Controller*
    (Toshiba SB700 IDE)
    *-Audio Device*
(Toshiba IXP High Definition Audio Controller)
    *-Audio Codec*
    (Conexant Systems 5051h)
    *-Audio Device*
(AMD (ATI) RV635 Audio device [Radeon HD 3600 Series]
Now, as I write this I have heard rumor that the A305D uses the same
audio/graphics drivers.... well.... off to try something I guess...
if there is any help or ideas I would appreciate it.

    Thanks Jaba
Initially I attempted to locate the MS patches you mentioned, KB835221 and KB888111 respectively, alas there were none available that I could find for XP64, also at the time of tapping this message theres no XPSP3 for XP64 bit either.
Lucky for me I logged into my MSDN account and downloaded XP+XPSP3 tore the house up looking for a CDR... anyway long story short.... solved all the problems with the required updates of SP3, I now have my Toshiba A300D-15B all singing 'n dancing laptop setup completely with XP32.
Had to take a hit on the RAM though, gonnna have to go on with only 3.2GB instead of 4GB,
arguably when one counts the memory foot-print that vista ultimate 64 had used I am probalby still on a winner here in memory avaiable terms LOL!
    thanks again! much help!

  • I have just purchased an iMAC. O/S is Lion. I just cannot access the files in my Microsoft network drive which my  macpro snow leopard has no problem. Looks like it is just the Lion O/S has the problem.  The file I needed to access are my photo files.

I have an iMAC running Lion cannot access my Microsoft Network drive.  It sees it on Finder but said connection failed.  By other Macpro Laptop which run Leopard has no problem at all. It lreads and load my photos from the RAID Drive. I am sure some asked the question before but it is new to me. That was the reason I am not upgrading my Macpro to Lion yet.  was it a bug in Lion networking area?
    Thanks for the help !

You need to move to Windows 7, because Apple is now releasing a new OS X version annually and it's playing havoc with people's hardware and software.
Windows 7 will get support until 2020, that's 8 years of software stability, however you do need to make System Restore disks, boot disk and another on a hard drive to self restore (like TimeMachine is for OS X)
Apple has no plans to change their currrent behavior as all they care about is selling new hardware with a shiny new OS X verison on it.
If you wait to move, what will happen is you'll lose that full 8 years and will have to swtich to a newer Windows sooner
Windows 7 machines are still widely avaialble, despite Windows 8 (a failure) being pushed currently.
Running three OS X operating systems on one machine is quite a chore reserved for only seasoned computer geeks, then it's only going to last X months as the next OS X version will be released, then the next a year after that.
Another method would be to get a virtual machine software (virtualbox is free) and install Windows 7 into that to ease your transitition if you cant' spring for a Windows 7 machine, preferablly a tower that will last a long time.
Here is a method to run Snow Leopard in Parallels, however it's a unapproced hack and not for the comptuer newbie.
    http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=1365439
We have no control over Apple's OS X release cycle, nor the third party developers who make their own decisions what to support.
Our only choice as users to stop using both products and seek software/hardware stability.
